Manly Conversation (Merik)

[Jin Reno]

It had taken him a bit of time to find his way to the Training Grounds, accidentally getting lost at one point, only to luckily be pointed in the right direction. It had been so long since he was able to train a bit, so he was happy that he was able to fight a bit. With Lisa in his arms and a grin on his face, Jin wondered into the Training Grounds, and quickly found the armory.

With a little bit of time, he was walking out from the armory with his large shield on his back and adjusting his Magic Buckler onto his right forearm before looking around. The black collar sat on his neck still, and he cracked his knuckles before looking down at Lisa. "Lets see if we can find someone to spar with yeah?" He asked the tortoise, who didn't seem to care.

The training grounds were situated within the valley, just outside the main Fortress, to allow greater room for the Gerudo to train. The sun shone down upon the handful of warriors training and though it wasn't yet noon the temperature was still fairly high and rising by the second.

Merik stood in the center of one of the rings wearing little more than pants and his boots and wielding a pair of cutlasses. Surrounding him were three Gerudo armed with double-bladed halberds. The King smirked as he cracked his neck, twisting his arms a little and sending colored beams onto the sand where light refracted off the gems in his arms.

"After you ladies." he said simply as he gave the blades a spin.

The first attack came from behind and with a ring of steel on steel he deflected it as he spun, his second blade dropping to counter the other half as his opponent swung it upwards. Hearing the other women moving he sidestepped and kicked the back of his opponent's knee, knocking her forward in a roll between the others. The next few seconds passed in an almost constant ring of steel as he deflected strike after strike before his blade made contact with an arm and drew blood. It was a shallow cut but the guard leaped from the ring immediately.

Normal challenges went until concession or someone fell unconscious but Merik made it clear when he fought that he would be going at his full strength; because of that he ordered any wounded immediately out of the ring so as not to risk their life. With the loss of their teammate the other two were forced to increase their own efforts but to no avail. Within five minutes Merik was the only one still standing in the ring though the other three were still watching him.

"You're getting better at working as a team, but Raya you need to stop attacking before Aveil and Laika are ready. Acting as one and attacking from all angles is the greatest weapon you have against a stronger and faster opponent. Now, you're dismissed go get your wounds checked out."

He sheathed the swords, placed them on the ground and sat cross-legged in the center of the ring, enjoying the warmth of the sun on his skin.

Jin watched this display with interest, studying how the four Gerudo warriors moved and fought, and simply put, impressed by the display. When it was all over, Jin decided he would check up on Merik, to see if the King was up for a little sparring with him, a different opponent that would more then likely have him rethink his strategy.

As he walked over, Lisa walking at his side, he walked past the three Gerudo woman and gave them each a bow, though the grumbling he heard from them as he continued on only showed that they weren't happy with him being there still. It didn't matter to Jin though, in fact, so far had been a pretty good day, and it was still pretty early. Hopefully nothing would screw up this day and as he approached Merik, Jin stopped at the edge of the ring he was in.

"Greeting King Merik." Jin said, bowing deep at the waist. "I happened to see your sparring match there and I must say, you are a very interesting fighter to watch." He said, a smile on his face and his eyes shining with excitement.

Merik looked at Jin impassively for a moment before speaking.

"Well you weren't sent here for a beating because you've got your shields; you're still wearing your collar and you haven't ran so you haven't broken free; and yet despite all of this Ruma is not present, I'll have to speak with her about that." he said quietly, not really seeming to be speaking to the Human.

"I need to be able to adapt for any type of situation, never can tell who I'll have to kill next." he added after a few seconds, that time clearly a response to Jin.

"I think she wanted me to get some exercise. I also wanted to see these training robots that she made and get a little sparring in myself." Jin said, before looking at the area around them. "I don't plan on running. In fact, its quiet nice here. Plus, I've made friends with a few of those who serve under you, so this place is better then some of the other places I've been too." He added, a bit of sadness in his voice.

"However, the reason I approached you is a simple one, I'd like a sparring match, and maybe some talking between us." Jin said, then added, "Maybe a little bit to help out someone who needs it in areas not yet experienced..." After he had said, this, he flushed a little bit and rubbed his head before shaking it.

"Um... plus, if we sparred, you could see I am a skilled warrior too." He said with a bit of confidence in his voice. Could he win in a spar against Merik? Possibly. Could he win in a full on battle? That was much less clear. There was so many unknowns about Merik that Jin had that a straight on battle would pretty much be suicide for him.

Merik listened as Jin talked, nodding at mention of Ruma wanting him to get exercise.

He must have recovered enough from his injury if she sent him out here already...

"I accept, and I'll allow you to choose: weapons or no? Either way I'll warn you that the fight goes until one concedes or one falls. And if you're still breathing when it's over, maybe we'll talk." he said as he rose once more, cracking his knuckles in anticipation.

Jin blinked at Merik and took a moment to think, feeling the weights of his bucklers on his forearms and the shield on his back. It felt good after so long, but in the end, he figured that a simple hand to hand fight would be a good choice.

With that, he removed his shields and put them into a pile. "Without weapons. I think it might be a bit better for us that way, or at least, for me." Jin said with a smile, removing the extra shirts, his forearm guards, and his sandals, standing in front of Merik in his pants and the skin tight black long sleeved shirt.

He took his first steps into the ring and stood there for a moment. "I wanted to talk about Ruma a bit." He said, hoping that at the very least, they would talk some during the fight in case one of them fell unconscious.

As soon as Jin was in the ring, bare seconds after the words had left him, Merik dashed forward in a blur of speed and delivered a punch aimed at his gut before slipping back a few steps.

"What about Ruma?" he asked as he slipped into a fairly neutral stance, ready to attack or defend as needed.

F-Fast

Was almost all that Jin could think as Merik closed in for the first punch, and defensively, Jin took a step back and flexed his abs, taking the punch, but luckily reducing the over-all impact. He took in a quick breath and brought both his arms up and in front of him, forming loose fists, his elbows tucked in a bit. In this stance, he would be able to put up a quick defense if Merik came in quick again.

"I... think she likes me... and thats kind of the issue..." He said, before approaching Merik quickly, each step he took making his body move further to one side then the other in a zig-zag motion before the last step in which he leaned his body forward and pushed off, using the momentum to increase his own speed for a quick jab at Merik's thigh.

Merik moved forward at the same time Jin did, exchanging the punch in the thigh for a powerful left-hook to the jaw.

"Have you just realized that she likes you? I would have thought it was obvious with how hard she fought to prevent your execution." he growled as he slipped back once more. "Though I still don't see what the problem is...I mean sure you can't just sleep with her and take off because we both know I'd hunt you down like a dog if you did get away, but it doesn't seem like an issue to me."

Jin was glad that he got the hit in, but at the same time Merik landed a punch on his cheek and he rolled away from the Gerudo King, rubbing his tongue against his cheek for a moment. He got to his feet and grinned, getting into position again. "Good hit." Jin said softly before taking a few steps around Merik.

"Give me a break... I lived in a cavern for 15 years and fought against bulbins in the desert for the next two years. This entire thing is new to me... I don't even know how to act for it." He said, the fighting helping him relax a bit. "I can fight with some of the best of them, my cooking skills are amazing, I am intelligent to a point, but I have never had to deal with a woman in my life." The last bit seemed to have him talking a bit louder.

He moved forward again, this time simply walking forward before he jumped up and spun around, aiming to bring the broad side of his forearm against Merik's side hard.

The hit was solid enough for Merik to feel it, not much more than a quick sting but compared to most he did have to give it credit. Although before Jin had a chance to pull his arm back the King closed a fist over it and quickly flipped him to the ground.

"And she hasn't really been around men with the obvious exception of myself. So you're both going to fumble around with no idea what you're doing and be on a level playing field. I'm still missing the problem here."

Jin could feel his attack hit Merik as he had planned, though what had happened next caught him by complete surprise. He took a moment to try and figure out what just happened to him, though he knew that he was on his back on the ground. Merik had somehow flipped him after his own attack landed, so take advantage of the situation.

"Well at the moment, the reason we split up was because she went to Kotone's room. After the kiss on the cheek there was this... well... really awkward moment... I think she might be looking for help... So I figured you could kind of help." Jin said, pushing the group with his feet and doing a small back flip, using his strength to try and land a double kick against Merik.

Merik took the kick, definitely feeling the force of that one even if there wasn't much power behind it. By this point it was probably quite apparent that he wasn't even trying to dodge as he was just getting a feel for the smaller man's fighting skills.

"Jin, I've been with plenty of women and a big thing I've learned is that it's hard to give advice on the matter because every woman likes something different, I mean in the end it all winds up being the same thing they want but the lead up is always going to be different. Ruma has inner fire when she needs it but most of the time she's fairly gentle. Take things slow, treat her good, and do what comes naturally...maybe see if one of you can actually kiss the other without both of you freaking out." he said as he began to blur from left to right.

"Although if she's taking advice from Kotone she might come back and immediately try to take charge of the situation which will probably fail miserably as I'm fairly certain she doesn't have the first idea as to what to do...and I'm really hoping you at least have a little background knowledge on the matter..." the blurring suddenly ceased as Merik sped forward in a bullrush.

Of course, as Merik spoke, Jin couldn't help but feel a little hot in the face, getting to his feet and facing Merik, this time his body a little more loose as he stood there. "Ah... well... kissing thing... um... I don't know if I can really do that..." He said, before trying to keep his eyes on Merik. "I'd rather like to be able to have a better grasp on the situation, but my mind kind of goes blank each time something intimate happens." Jin added, amazed by the speed of the larger man.

"We both don't know what to do with makes the situation worse then..." Jin said, and as Merik rushed forward Jin, for a moment, was ready to meet him head on, but a small pain in his chest made him rethink it. A tricky move, sure, but with out warning Jin charged as well, though he kicked off the ground to try and avoid Merik by diving quickly to the right of the man and avoiding the rush all together. He just wanted to avoid the charging Gerudo King at the moment, and hopefully find a way to attack without putting himself in harms way right away.

Merik laughed as he skidded to a halt and turned to face Jin once more.

"If you're so damn worried about kissing her, just grow a pair and kiss her. It's going to be awkward anyway because the first time you kiss someone it's always going to be awkward. Once the first kiss is out of the way it'll just happen afterwards." he said as he watched to see what the Human would do.

"As for instruction there's nothing to it. Your c**k's gonna get hard, you're gonna put it in her, she's going to get hurt, you're gonna take it slow, she's going to enjoy it, you'll probably misfire and end things early. After that there will most likely a nice, drawn-out, awkward silence and you'll both be thinking you did something wrong. My money says it'll last less than five minutes; then you'll catch your second wind, go again and presumably by that point you'll have enough of a basic idea that you'll be able to improvise and make it go a lot better."

Jin blinked as Merik spoke and he simply stood up and rubbed his head. "Really? Its that simple? Why does it always seem to be more complicated when we are actually close?" Jin asked, thinking about everything Merik had said, going over the steps in his mind a few times. "Now thats something they never teach you in books." Jin added, smiling, feeling relieved now. Hell, as things were, Jin was feeling so much better, this day just seemed to be his day.

With that, Jin charged at Merik and jumped into the air, spinning once more, as if to land another swinging strike to Merik's side, except that this time, Jin instead aimed a kick right at Merik's thigh, near the spot he had hit before. One of the things Merik had on him, was his speed, and Jin wanted to try to at least even things out. "So you've had a lot of experience, do you always misfire before getting a second wind?" Jin asked, taking what Merik said to be a constant thing in the process.

Merik did expect another hit to the side though the fact that the blow landed at his thigh didn't change matters too much, though the strike did momentarily deaden the nerves. At the time that Jin's kick connected the Gerudo backhanded him as easily as swatting away a fly.

"It's a matter of focus and I can guarantee you'll be too distracted with everything else to worry about focusing. Given time and some practice you'll be able to stay in the game much longer." He replied, thumping his fist against his thigh and knocking some life back into his numb leg. "And for the record, I haven't misfired in over a decade."

Jin felt his foot strike Merik's thigh, but at the same time, Jin was stuck by Merik and he went flying back, skidding along the sand. He had a burst of adrenaline in his body at the moment and could only grin at the larger man. This was fun, dangerous fun, and he hoped that Merik was enjoying it as well.

With a quick cough, Jin thought over Merik's words once more. "Oh? Well, there goes that plan then, I guess I just have to do what comes naturally then." He said, standing up and rolling his arms a bit, watching Merik. "Oh? Does that mean you haven't done it in a decade?" Jin asked, a little confused at the moment.

Merik groaned lightly and pinched the bridge of his nose as he shook his head.

"Alright that clearly went way over your head so I'll try to make it a little simpler. Okay..." he paused as he tried to figure out a really simple way to say it. "The hell with it; alright so while you're going at it the both of you are going to feel a lot of pleasure and it's going to keep building as you progress. Now there is going to be a certain point when it's damn near overpowering and that's when you're going to fire. Now for men it's easy to shoot off, usually takes more work to hold back honestly, but with women it can take a bit of time. But if you want to keep the ladies happy you've gotta make sure they fire and sometimes that'll mean you'll have to fight to keep going.

Now with all that in mind, my personal definition of a misfire is going off before she does. Does that make more sense?"
