APPEARANCE,

Erik is a tall, skinny figure, standing at 6’1 But barely weighing 140. He often keeps his head covered by a hood and mask, making people mistake him for a thief or ne’er-do-well. His armor is leather, as his combat style is more based on dexterity than strength.
Not many see it as he keeps his hood up a lot, but his brown hair and very shaggy and he always keeps his face clean of facial hair.
WEAPONS,
Bow: His bow, of his own design. A simple bow with no special qualities other than being able to shoot arrows at enemies. His weapon of choice. The arrows he restocks regularly.
Shortsword: Used for close-range combat. Iron sword, again simply a weapon.
ITEMS,
Skinning knife. Listed under items though it could be a weapon, since he uses it as an item for hunting instead of fighting.
Pendant: Erik wears a pendant with a small portrait of two people inside. He claims it’s his parents, and no one he knows is the wiser.
ABILITIES,
Ability 1: Marksman: Erik is an archer by trade. While he fires arrows with the best of them, sometimes he needs to pack one with a little extra juice. These arrows deal heavier damage as well as potentially crippling the opponent, depending on where it hits. Cooldown of 2 posts. LS damage: Heavy
Ability 2: Elemental Shot: With a flick of his wrist, Erik imbues his arrow with the power of ice. When this arrow hits its target, the target is slowed down (LS: loses an action slot). Does not deal any extra damage, lasts for 1 post. Cannot be used in conjunction with Marksman, and has a 4 post cooldown.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Humans are flexible, giving them an extra ability. For Erik, this is used to help his swordplay. As a dexterity-based sword user, Erik cannot rely on brute strength to win a melee fight. Instead, he uses dodges and parries to keep his opponent off balance. With a step and a slice, he can block any incoming physical attack with his sword. 3 post cooldown.
HISTORY,
Erik’s parents, in short, were horrible people. They left Erik to die on their doorstep, already having 2 children, and caring nothing about their youngest son. However Erik doesn’t talk about that. He was kept alive by a kind but poor family who couldn’t bear to see an innocent baby die. However that family was poor and could barely feed themselves, let alone Erik. However, they martyred themselves out, giving Erik the opportunity to survive at the cost of their own lives. Erik always wears their memory around his neck inside a pendant.
From the day his “mother” died at 5 and his “father” a year later, Erik survived by living on the streets. From one slum or town to another, he lived as a street urchin. He developed nimble hands and was an adept pickpocket, using his childish charms to get away with much At the age of 10, he attempted to steal from a fletcher, but was caught. The fletcher noticed the boy’s nimble fingers and rather than report him to the guards, he employed him as an apprentice. While he wasn’t a prodigy, Erik’s ability with his hands helped him develop some excellent fletching skills. Not only that, but he also crafted his own bow for use. While he had paid off his debt and then some early on, he stayed with the fletcher until he was 17, when he decided he needed to start helping out those less fortunate than he, for he had been in their shoes. To this day, he doesn’t know if his parents are still around, and he doesn’t care. To Erik, his parents died of a slow painful starvation when he was 5 and 6 in order to ensure his survival. He now freelances and hunts, giving what he can to the poor. On occasion he gets the urge to be a Robin Hood-esque figure, though the rarely steals anymore.
