RHOAM
THE MUTED KNIGHT
RACE,Fairy
GENDER,Male
BATTLE ROLE,Jack of all
BATTLE STYLE,Casual or perhaps Story occasionally.
AGE,49 very close to being fifty though he doesn't look it.
ALLIANCE,Neutral, though he tends to lean more towards good than anything.
PERSONALITY,Positive
- Forgiving
- Calm in a crisis
- Easy to understand
- Responsible
- Extremely patient with others
- Honest
Negative
- Realistic (though often this can seem like he's being a pessimist)
- Sarcastic
- Private
- Socially unskilled (Or so he thinks)
- Does not like small talk
- Focused on tasks at hand often detaching from others to form a theory
- Can at times be moody.
Rhoam is not a very spontaneous guy nor is he competitive with others often choosing to come to a compromise and meet a person half way rather than battling against them. He thinks that compromise is much better than simply bashing heads as things can be dealt with quickly and effectively that way without treading on another persons toes.
He's not relationship obsessed if anything he actually seems more like he's not interested in relationships, if he is then he's very toned down and he's not physically affectionate with most people. He does not like to be the center of attention and more often then not he will seclude himself in a dark corner of a room when others are there,he's a ninjauntil he feels that he has something worth saying on the matter. If he doesn't then he won't say a thing and will remain hidden until such times as he's called out.
He's organized and has level emotions, he also thinks before acting since more often than not if you do not think about an action then it'll be rash and mistakes will be made perhaps even lives lost in specific situations. He's a rather easy to understand, for most though there are times when he'll use words that people may need to look up in a dictionary, risk averse, realistic, modest and focused person. He's more responsible than pleasure seeking and is definitely not prone to addiction.
He seems like he's not wild and crazy though perhaps if you actually coax him in to drinking then you'll see that underneath the quiet and cold hardened shell he's actually a very fun and outgoing person. He doesn't however feel like he's better than anyone else and is rather modest when it comes to taking praise for things done correctly. He's amazingly patient often going as far as to try and explain something six or maybe even seven times to a person, he'll explain until they understand what he's trying to tell them.
He seems like he's always prepared it's just an air or aura he has about him and he's averse to crowds, he's a very honest man and is possibly the type of man that if he sees a person in trouble then he'll try to help them out regardless of what harm comes to himself.
One thing that Rhoam dislikes more than anything is making mistakes if he does this he'll guilt trip himself and mentally beat himself up for whatever it is that went wrong. This will continue until someone spots what he's doing and snaps him out of it. He's a rather private and reserved individual who's not hard to satisfy, not easily discouraged and he's not very curious.
He's not prone to jealousy, values rules and regulations, he's hardly ever prone to displays of anger often keeping that anger he has inside and calming it quickly before it becomes a fire that'll burn everything around him, he's calm in crisis oddly enough and is a very forgiving person he isn't able to stay mad at someone forever despite whom they are and will forgive them eventually.
APPEARANCE,Rhoam is a man whom looks like he's seen his fair share of reality, perhaps even had his own share of sadness and sorrow. Though his appearance is usually very well groomed and styled accordingly, his eyes are the things that let others know what he's experienced in his years. He has red wine colored eyes that are very expressive even when his body language isn't. His hair is of a shade that's in between brown and auburn and is usually styled so that the left part of his fringe hangs over his left eye shielding it from view, the rest of his fringe hangs around his face framing it. In the back it's usually spiked towards the right at the top and then it smooths down and flicks out towards the bottom which ends around the nape of his neck.
Rhoam has a rather fair complexion and despite that complexion he doesn't burn easily in the sun. His ears like most of his kin are slightly pointed at the tips though usually they're covered by his hair so it's unlikely one would ever see them.
In his more human form he stands at six feet and one inch and in his fairy form he stands at exactly four inches. Though he doesn't have a preference for which form he takes he seems to wander around mostly in the taller form.
Rhoams wings are possibly rather odd since parts of his wings don't even look like they attach to one another, and they glow a shade of blue making them look almost like ethereal wings. Though he doesn't see them as anything odd since his wings have always looked that way, they even shed little bits that almost look like sparks of blue light.
As for what he wears it's a little hard to describe so a picture would be more appropriate. click!
WEAPONS,Generally speaking Rhoam always has his sword and shield on him at all times unless he's sleeping in which case he'll have his sword close by within arms reach. He also carries a crossbow for long range.
ITEMS,Just his weapons, a handkerchief and a pendant that has a picture of his now dead family inside it.
ABILITIES,Bone Manipulation - Bone Manipulation is the ability to manipulate the bones in one's own body. This includes, but is not limited to, the generation of new bone mass, projecting bones out from the skin or rearranging one's own bones. Though he can use this during battle to launch bone like splinters or spears at his enemy at high speeds, though he's only able to target one enemy at any one time the splinters if they hit only do moderate damage to an enemy. He can launch two bones at once and this ability has a post cooldown of three turns(posts) since that's how long it takes for him to recharge enough
Density control - This is the ability to increase or decrease the natural density of an object and/or a living being. More often than not he'll simply use it to increase the density of an opponents weaponry or armor rendering it harder for them to move, however he can also use it to increase the density of a person (he actually has to physically touch them be it with his hands or his blade, but he MUST come in to direct contact with his target), using this will slow a targets movement speed and make it hard for them to escape/dodge in coming attacks. Though this ability may only be used ONCE per a thread, over usage will result in the ability back firing and not only causing the target to be slowed but also he himself. Lasts for a duration of two turns (posts) to enable the user to escape from battle if he has to.

HISTORY,
Rhoam's history is full of twists and turns, where should we begin?
Perhaps we should start at the beginning of this sad tale.
Rhoam wasn't born in to a functional family, it was far from it, though his mother nurtured him and taught him almost everything he knew. Respect for others, how to be kind, honor, pride and a great many things. She even taught him other things such as cleaning, cooking, how to repair broken things. He even learned his bone manipulation from her. Though it was and always will be painful to use.
His father. Well. Who knows where that man is? It's said that the man died protecting his charge the person that he'd attached himself to. Though the day that Rhoam's mother got news of the disappearance was the day that Rhoam became emotionally detached. The pain she suffered also effected him and through her grieving she didn't bother to even interact with Rhoam. All he could do was try his best to keep her smiling. Though that never lasted very long. It was enough to slowly kill whatever outgoing persona the young male had.
As Rhoam grew older, he watched as his mother slowly grew more and more distant from people and she wouldn't listen to him when he tried to reason. Instead she'd just smile and tell him everything was okay. It wasn't though. It never would be and it was killing him seeing his mother like that.
Soon enough he was old enough to leave home, and in doing so he found those who were warriors, ones that roamed the fields, forests, towns. Those that sparred together and his fondness for the way of the sword grew. So he eventually approached someone, asking them to teach him how to weild a sword and shield.
It was arduous and painful at first, he failed things many times but eventually he got the hang of it. Growing more and more adept the more he practised, it also helped to instil a sense of discipline in the young man and in the years to come there'd be more sadness for him. More sorrow and this one thing would be all he could put his faith in to.
His mother died when he turned twenty or so. Unknown to him, she'd been slowly poisoning herself and she never sought out help. It was a long and painful process for her and he hadn't noticed. His mistake. Something he wouldn't ever really forgive himself for. He woke up to find that his mother was dead in her bed.
That... Was enough to make the man become colder than ever. Often staying silent for long periods of time even when others spoke to him. He'd only speak when necessary and say what he had to say being blunt and to the point.
This attitude would go one for another ten years, till he met his wife. His now dead wife. She was the best thing that had ever happened to him, she showed him the kindness he'd lost over the years. Reignited the man that he used to be and he couldn't ever argue with her and win. She always won, always, without question. Those were the happiest days he'd experienced, and they probably always would be. The days he spent with her, and their two daughters when they were born. Though living away from the forests and other faeries was a bad idea they were happy for years.
That was... Until he came home to find them slaughtered. That was when he gave up on his own happiness. He wouldn't and couldn't ever be happy apparently and so instead he decided to make it his duty to keep others safe and happy. Using his own experiences to guide his actions and thinking before he made any critical decisions. He disliked mistakes. Disliked making them and would often beat up on himself for any that were made.
That mistake was righted when he found the culprit, a wanted criminal, felon and traitor to the fairy. A battle ensued between the two he did win the battle given he left with wounds and broken bones. Yet he didn't kill the person. No. That would go against his morals, instead he apprehended them and actually took them to the palace in the sacred groves. He asked for no reward, he didn't say anything, all he did was hand the person in for those whom remained within the palace to pass judgement on them.
After all Rhoam had no right to do that, and unless those he'd handed the criminal in to knew of the pain he suffered and the self control it took NOT to kill the apprehended suspect? They wouldn't really know just how much will power the man had. With his good deed done, he simply left, without a word, without even giving his name.
Now the man wanders the forests and any other place he happens upon as a mercenary, even when he could be doing something better with himself than that.
