Silent Talks (Finished)

[Jin Reno]

Jin laid in the bed, his eyes closed, but he couldn't sleep. It didn't help that the pain in his side was made worse by the occasional stone being thrown at him by the guard. He tired to ignore all of it, but the guard seemed to enjoy teasing him.

He couldn't say anything though, not a single thing because if he did he knew the guard would have reason to come into the cell and beat him. Jin didn't know if she knew about his cracked rib, but he knew one wrong step would cause him more pain.

Kotone came down stairs only to see the guard teasing Jin. She stood there a bit seeing when the guard was going to notices she was getting watched. She had a plate of food and a bag to redo the wrapping on the guy. Well when she did she was shocked that was for sure and bow to her. She said sorry couple of times headed up the stairs knowing she was in trouble.

She sighed and shook her head as she goes and open up the cage and went in. She put the plate on the small table next to him. She took the medical bag and open it up. Inside was a note form the doctor on how to redo the stuff and so on. She wanted to make sure he was going to get healed and all as this was her sister's first slave. A slave to Gerudo women is much more then bossing someone around since there no men but the king. So In truth this guy can be or will be Ruma mate.

The stones had stopped coming toward him, and Jin decided now that he wanted to wake up, and he sat up and looked around, seeing Kotone walk into the dungeon. The other Gerudo, the guard, seemed to be flustered about something and she left as soon as her feet could carry her, apologizing to Kotone. He looked at the Silent Gerudo and examined her, trying to figure out what why she was here.

However, when she entered the cell and put a plate of food next to him and held a small bag as well. Jin rubbed his stomach a bit, considering that he hadn't eaten since the restaurant the other day, and even then, he actually didn't get to finish off the food he bought. Jin kept his eye on Kotone as she pulled out a note and he saw the contents of the bag, so he carefully removed his shirt to allow her to work the wrappings as she saw fit.

He didn't know what to say to her, nor did he know if she even wanted to talk with him. Either way, he softly said, "Thanks."

Kotone blinks as he was looking at her but he soon got the message as he took off his shirt. She goes and pulled out a small dagger and cut off the other wrapping. She did not bother to talk to him right now as soon she got the wrapping down she looked at the note once more. Then she took out some cream and put it on him where the area is put to be at then started to wrap him back up. Its not the first time she had to do a bit of first aide. Let just say the Gerudo need more medical people.

She get up and back up from him as she goes and lean back on the bars of the cage looking at him. She nods to him. 'Got to do it for my sister' her lips moved and no sound came out. She looked at the food and waved her hand for him to eat up and all. She knew that the guards don't take to kindly to slaves since well they are slave. However this was going to be Ruma slave so they need to show more respect then that.

Jin watched as she pulled out a dagger and approached him, though he just closed his eyes and trusted that the dagger wouldn't slide into his soft body. It didn't, and instead a pressure was released and cool air rushed in to meet the skin that had been covered, Jin's scarred body once more exposed for all to see. Next came the cream, which as she rubbed it on his rib caused him to shiver a bit, the cream itself felt cold. Next, she began to wrap him back up in new bandages and he looked at her.

As she leaned against the bars of the cell, Jin watched her and slid his shirt back on, wondering what she was up too. However, when she mouthed the words, Jin was able to follow them and he gave a small smile. "Ah... well if you see her, tell her thanks for me then." Jin said, before picking up a small piece of meat and biting into it hungrily. He took a sip of water and breathed a small sigh of relief before looking back at Kotone.

A smile made its way onto his lips and he nodded in her direction. "You know, we never got to finish our little fight back at Pirate Bay... when I'm healed up we can take another shot at it, if you'd like." Jin said, before taking a bite out of a small roll of bread.

Kotone was unfazed by the scars really as she knew he was a fighter and all. so it did not bother her but the fact was she did not have any scars and if she did you never know it. The women here not only fight hard they work hard to look great. They have creams that used to make sure there no scaring or anything or most of the time. No one know really how the cream was first made but they never question it as it works and that all it matters.

She nodded to him thought he might see her before she does. She always busy doing something. On portal or something guarding Merik, making sure no fairy queen around, read reports, order things, go train and so on. She smirk as she watched him eat as he was hungry. She have to remember to put in a request to get him more food after all. 'Your her first slave... so she might seem she over doing it. She just happy but I'm happy for her' Kotone nodded thinking of her sister. 'I can't want to see her pregnant... I never thought it would happen with her geeky self and... non gerudo looks' she let out a sigh but she was smiling.

Kotone blinks as she smirk at this as she nods. Of course she like a another go at this guy of course it be a spar as she can't kill him. However a good training here and there with the guy be better then the robots training. A human or someone alive was always better to train with since she is the personal guard she need to get better always. 'Don't feel bad when you get beat by a girl' she smirked at him.

Jin finished up the meat and drank more of the water, looking at Kotone, making sure he didn't miss it if she spoke to him. "Well, to be someone's first anything is usually a special thing, though being called a slave isn't exactly what I enjoy." He said with a shrug, before he blinked at Kotone and blushed a bit. "Pregnant... well... umm... she looks as good as any other Gerudo... she just isn't as strong." He said, unsure how he was supposed to respond to what the mute woman mouthed.

However, he had to chuckle at what she mouthed afterward, cracking his knuckles. "Well, I can't say that I'll win, but I would suggest you don't underestimate me, I'm much strong then I look and have studied different battle styles. Books might not show you everything, but they can certainly help you learn." He said, having something else to look forward too now, and he couldn't help but smile. "Also... thanks for helping Ruma and me out with Merik." Jin added, bowing his head to her again. "I owe you."

Kotone shook her head at him as to a Gerudo female it was something big. She laughed at the guy as he blushed and seem well startle over what she lipped. Again it was a big thing to Gerudo women as having a child is saying your saving their tribe and might be lucky to have a male. Women who had a male normally treated well for the rest of their lives. However Merik's mother die giving birth so she never got to have that honor. She held up two fingers and looked at the guy. 'Two months' she lipped as that how long she giving him to get the job done.

She looked at him as she leans forward. 'how did you know I read books?' it threw her off as she did not think she gave it away or anything. Did her sister already told him what her job was? She looked at the male once more as she nods. Either way she love to know more fighting styles but right now her martial arts are very good. She mostly a long rang person however she will do close up if she has to.

He just stared at Kotone, his mind bubbling with so many different thoughts. He really wasn't sure what she was thinking, first telling him that he had to get Ruma preggers, but now he had to do it within two months. "W-What? Two months? I.. I don't even know if she likes me! I've never even done so much as hug a woman before... what is it with you and me knocking up Ruma?!" Jin asked, panicking a bit, wondering why she was just so insisting on this.

"You read books too? I was talking about myself... I didn't have too much to do during my youth. Read up on science, math, history, machines, magic, food, first aid, and almost anything else you could think of." Jin said, rubbing his head as he watched her. "What do you read?" He asked, looking at her.

Kotone blinks as he seem he was not a man who been with women yet. She face palm herself as she never heard of a thing before. Most men know how to put on a charm of some kind or knew how to do sex so this was something new to her. Then he asked what it had to do with this and so on. 'Look its a normal Gerudo thing for women to get slaves that are strong so they can have strong children. There no men here besides our king so we get slaves' she said explaining to him. He had no idea what he got his self in to. 'I'm sure you be also helping her with... making robots and all but this is important ok' she lip to him pointed her finger at him strongly.

She nods as she likes to read books but it seem she gave herself away on that. She gave a laugh but no sound or noise was made. 'History of course. I do a lot of research on the history of this land and the power it hold. Making sure our king does not repeat the past or get taken out by other races. So I must know how to protect ourselves with the facts of the past. So Ruins, scroll, tablets, temples as well as story telling all part of history. Thought I do.. get side track with music' She rubs the back of her neck.

Jin pushed around a small clump of dirt on the floor with his foot, not looking at Kotone for a moment, though there was always a chance he'd not know what she might be saying to him. Looking back up, Jin watched her lips as she began to speak to him, reading her lips so he would understand what she was saying. "Why would you have to take slaves? Why not just take lovers? It'd probably be a little less... stressful for the man you know..." Jin said, finding the notion of just forcing people to have sex was a little strange. "Well, I'd like to help her out a little better then... trying... to... um... seduce her I think..."

"History? Really? Very nice! Isn't it so interesting how different types of things just happened and twisted this area into how it is today. Though sometimes I wonder if things should have been better." Jin said, rubbing his chin softly. However, when she spoke about how she got side-tracked with music, Jin looked at her. "Oh? Can you play any of this music you get side-tracked with?" He asked with a smile, always one to enjoy a good tune.

Kotone blinks as she tried not to laugh as he said he was going to seduce her. It seem it really did not know anything about gerudo. She shook her head at him. 'No she be the one doing that and... I think it has to do with keeping outsiders out since...well with the past wars and everything. People don't look kindly on us... if something happens they blame it on the gerudos.' she sighed as it was true they did. If there was a event it was the gerudo fault all because of one evil king. 'Merik tries his best but... I fear we might be going to war soon with the events happening... everyone looking at us again' she shook her head and walked out of the cage as she grab the plate.

She shut the cage as she looked at him. 'It is... I really want to see the new places I heard Twilight people and the Ooccoo I like to see their homes and see if our history match up to theirs. However getting to those places are hard and even more so they do not welcome strangers' she explain a bit thought both area seem so close to here. It was unfair as that was a history find.

She blinks and nods as she set the plate down by her feet as she pulled out a very old flute. 'Yeah I have a king ear for sounds and I tend to hear music or something in ares. I try to play them back but somethings I can't get it right.. but I try to look for more magical feeling songs' she lip to him as she did not have to many people wanting to hear her play or talk about it. Not even Merik as he was so worried about her trying to get her voice back he did not want to hear anything else.

"Wait... she is going to do something to me instead of me trying to do something to her? This is just getting more and more complicated..." Jin muttered, rubbing his head and looking around his cell a bit. "Well, I've met a few good Gerudos, no bad Gerudos, and Merik seems to just want to keep his family safe, so it seems like some of the rumors of the Gerudo people are greatly exaggerated sometimes." He added.

He let out a sigh and shook his head. "I don't think the war will be something that will benefit anyone but wild beasts... so if there is anything we can do to prevent it, it should be done." Jin said, looking at her, his glaze intense. He watched as she took the plate from next to him and left the cell, closing it and locking it behind her, and Jin let out a sigh, leaning against the wall behind the bed and watching her, his arms crossed.

"Well, if I am allowed to roam around, then Ruma, you, and I could go exploring. I know how to get to the City in the Sky, though I think I have only seen one twili. The City in the Sky is just really hard to get too, but I am not sure the Twilight Realm is safe for anyone but Twili... so maybe you shouldn't go exploring there." Jin said, rubbing the back of his head and looking at her.

He did sit forward as she brought out an old flute and he watched her. He smiled and was hoping that she would play for him, just a little bit. "So, will you play for me Kotone? Or did you just pull that flute out just to show me?" He asked.

Kotone nodded to him as trying to tell him someone she learn in a year was hard. Kotone again nodded to him as he said he meet good gerudo. Of course the female gerudo are very nice women after all they take pride in their tribe. The only bad gerudo is one that betrays their tribe. 'I know... but that all people know it hard to change that' she lip to him as she let out a small sigh.

'That sounds lovely I love to do that if ... merik stays out of trouble' she lip as Merik staying out of trouble is something that rarely happens. It hard to keep an eye on him with out him off flirting with another female or fighting with someone or a monster of some kind. Thought he a good man he just seem to get in trouble a lot. She shook her head as she smirk. 'I still got to get there some day... I believe the Twilight people may hold keys to some of the important questions in our past' she lip as she been researching a lot.

'Well what song? I know one magical and many area songs..' She lip to him as she knows the lake song and the desert and sea. Heck she knew a march and couple of battle song and fairy song oddly. She really did not want to hear it again even if it was nice.

[Jin Reno]

Jin simply shrugged and lay back against the wall of his cell, the cream gently relaxing his side. "Sometimes I wonder about people... wonder why they think one way about things so stubbornly... are they really worth it sometimes..." He muttered softly, looking at the roof of his cell.

"So is Merik is quite the trouble maker sometimes I guess..." He said with a chuckle, looking at Kotone with a smile. He watched her from within the cell and stroked Lisa's shell, the tortoise seemingly to be a bit bigger then she was the day before. "Well, if you figure out how to get into the Twili Realm and are just fine, then please make sure to invite me along too, adventures are amazing."

He looked up and thought for a moment before looking back over at her and he gave her a simple shrug. "Well, you are the person who knows the music, so you can play whatever it is that you want." Jin said softly, staring over at Kotone, waiting to see just what she was going to play.

Kotone nodded to him as that how Merik feels as he wonder about the people in this land. She knew he make a better ruler as he took care of out people this long. Even more so when he was barely at age he took over all gerudo tribe. He was a wonderful man and people needed to see that then a beast in their own minds. No the people go on thinking a hero might save them from this mess. Heck if there was a hero why didn't he who up already. Maybe help the gerudo out with this problem. but no the only hero is in people who willing to stand up like Merik.

Kotone nodded to him as she won't mind taking him if she does figure it out. Thought she might get in faster if she knew someone who was a twilight. Then she might figure out a way to get in with out getting harmed. Heck she might just get the info from the people if they speak with her. It would be nice but she don't think it will happen anytime soon.

She nodded to him as she stood there thinking of a song she can play. After a moment she nodded to herself and put the flute to her lips. She started to ban her foot as she play the song. It was the Sea song she hears when she at the Pirate fortress thought hardly anyone else hears it. However she does oddly she head music in each area she goes to. If she lucky and in the right spot she can learn that song but most of the time she hearing it from a far then it disappears.

Jin leaned his head back against the wall of his cell, tapping his fingers on his knee as she played her flute, his eyes closed and his body relaxing. The sound of the music she played would easily travel throughout the fortress, and he just relaxed. In fact, everything seemed to claim down as he sat there, the feeling of things making him remember the time he had spent on the ocean.

The music itself seemed to make the air smell like salt water and he could almost swear he could feel the boat he was on rocking gently to soft waves on the ocean. Jin continued to tap his fingers on his knee, humming along softly too every note and the nice tempo she played. She might not have had a voice, but with the music that she was playing, she didn't need a voice.

"Beautiful." He said softly.

Kotone played it a couple times but one would not be able to really know she restarted the song again. However she blushed a bit as he said it was Beautiful. It would sound better if there was more then one person playing it however this is what she got. It still sounded nice and all but this was her gift even since she lost her voice she been playing a flute since then. She still wish she could sing even if she could not talk she wish she could sing.

She slow down and came to a stop as she took a deep breath and looked back at Jin. Who seem to be very relax now as he was a good guy. She almost want him for her slave. She never really encounter a guy who like history and like her music. No most think she was an ass or she was too quite nature and well roughness. She was only ruff because most of the time people just turn their backs on her. She hated that. As they can't see her talk or gesture and it was like a slap in the face. However he never done that to her.

When she stopped the song, Jin clapped for her for a little bit before smiling. "Maybe you should just play your flute, use music to convey yourself. You play it amazingly." He said, straightening himself up a bit. He looked out the window briefly and saw the sky and rubbed his head. "Oh jeez, I seem to have kept you here for quiet a while, sorry about that." Jin said, looking at Kotone once more. "I won't hold you up anymore then today." He added, petting Lisa softly on his lap.

Kotone blinks as she gotten clapped for her song. It surprise her as no one ever did that in a very long time. It was nice for someone to like her song and music. Even more so he said she should play the flute then lipping or trying to talk tot people. She did too but most people don't want to hear that as they mostly want to hear words.

Kotone blinks as she looked at the window and widen her eyes. Oh shoot it was late for her. She put up her flute and grab the plate as she bows to him. She mouth thank you to him before she ran off up the stairs. Thought she did have to stop and double look at the turtle. She thought it was smaller but she did not have time to rethink as she had work to do. So she rush out of the jail area.
