Goddesses, this castle is huge, he noted mentally. Kakariko couldn't even hold a portion of the structure, let alone the size of it. However with the help of a new friend, and an easy direction to follow, Jack finally made it to Hyrule Castle. His hazel eyes gawked practically everything in sight as he was guided through the stoned pavements on over to the actual building itself. The hylian male wasn't exactly sure how the protocol worked and all so he decided for the most part of the enlistment process he would just follow as he was told.
This was it. Of course, it goes without saying that he was quite excited about this. This was what he wanted for as long as he could remember. What he left his home for in order to be apart of those who stood for thier country, and for his princess. Quite a chivalrous lady, huh? Alas, there was just a small crack within his frame that leaked doubt within his frame. A part of him was worried that it wouldn't turn out to be the way he wanted it to be. Would he become a knight he so dreamed of, and it turned out to be a flop of a job?
What was he thinking? This wasn't the time to get all sentimental. No matter what his heart may be going through he had to lock it all away, and put honor above all else. From today forward, he would finally reach his ambitions he so greatly wanted to achieve.
(Yay... crap intro post is crap |D)

Zelda had taken to wandering around the castle as of late. It was a relief to have some time to herself, even if she was not truly alone; she always had at least one guard at her heels, but the rare moment where she could pause and take a breath was much welcomed. What with all the disasters striking Hyrule and the continuing strife between the races, the Princess hardly ever had time to breathe, let alone have a moment of peace.
Not that she really minded! Father always did tell her that the realm came first, and Zelda took that lesson to heart. No matter how it strained her, she had to make sure that Hyrule was at peace. Still, the moments she could take a step pack were greatly appreciated. And, in these moments, she was content to meander along the corridors, greeting her soldiers and knights, making herself known.
It was in these wanderings that she chanced upon a young man; blond, Hylian, somewhat taller than herself. Judging by the look on his face, though, he was new to the castle; perhaps he was one of the newer Knights? Zelda was ashamed that she didn't know, and she resolved to remedy that immediately.
But as she moved closer to the man and got a better look at him, she realized that she did know him; he had been one of her dance partners at the Masquerade Ball.
"Jack Craven," she called, a warm smile bouncing to her lips. "How lovely to see you again."

A voice rang out like the whispers of the wind. Jack perked up raising his frame straight trying to piece together if he was imagining that voice or was someone actually calling out to him. His hazel eyes made their way on over to the direction the voice came from before he froze in place. No way. It couldn't be, he blinked. Anyone could recognize the benevolence that was making her way over to the blond. It was Princess Zelda in person! With a deep breath, he exhaled quietly as the Hylian Princess approached him face to face. A smile formed across his mouth as he bowed formally before her.
"Princess Zelda," he addressed her, raising himself up slowly, "The pleasure is all mine. Forgive me for sounding assumptuous but I didn't think you'd remember me after the Masquerade." As the hostess of a grand ball, it was perfectly understandable that after their dance, she was quickly taken away to quench the needs of other guests. Those of higher importance than a knight-to-be. However it didn't mean that he wasn't overjoyed to meet up with her again. Better yet, he was actually ecstatic of this reunion, all convinced that he wouldn't ever see her again.
Why was that he couldn't explain in full detail. It was just that with a princess tending to the affairs of the world, they probably weighed heavy as far as priorities go, especially taking into consideration of the diasters Hyrule was struck with. Jack couldn't help but feel sympathy for the princess. She really was one person shouldering it all.
