Alistair tugged on the hood of his cloak, making sure it would stay wrapped around his head. He didn't really have a reason to be here, fighting against the cold, which made him enjoy it even more. He rarely indulged in the beauty of the landscape, but this was definitely one of those few times. He stared outwards at the almost unending white landscape, interrupted by only a frozen pond in the center.
Every time he exhaled, a small cloud could be seen rising out of the black hood. Occasionally, a cold breeze would brush across the area, but he didn't mind. He walked slowly, taking in his surroundings, until he was at the edge of the pond. For a moment, he felt bad for all of the people that would never trek out here just because of the low temperatures; they were definitely missing out. There was one good thing about few people venturing to the pond, however. At least there was a low chance that the beauty of the area would be soiled by violence.

The cold didn't bother her, not anymore. Six months in the frozen landscape of Snowpeak with only the clothes on her back and a dagger between her chattering teeth had made her all but immune. She knew the terrain, she knew the dangers; she had been raised amongst assassins and wolves. Those she met swore that her blood ran so cold that the iciest of snowstorms couldn't give her a chill, and never once had Nikita bothered to deny it.
The wind tugged insistently at her skirt and blazer, whipping at her short black hair until she was forced to hold it back with one hand. Her glasses -- which did nothing, because her eyesight was naturally perfect, not including the enhancements granted to her by Kanra -- slipped down her nose, and she pushed them back up with her other hands.
Nikita had been trained to observe. So, standing in the middle of the frozen pond, her katana at her side and her hair in her hands, she stared at the cloaked boy on the shore, deep brown eyes never missing a thing.

Alistair clapped his gloved hands together. "This place is absolutely perfect~" He happily walked around the edge of the pond, humming to himself. Sure, the lack of people would annoy some people, but he was content either way. He was content with most things, actually.
Soon enough, something caught his eye. He wasn't truly aware of who it was, or even what they were doing. They just appeared to be standing there. Alistair watched them for a moment, before silently putting his hand up and waving. He used his free hand to momentarily adjust his cloak.

What a strange boy, she thought, a slight crease forming in her brow. Why in the world would he be standing around, clapping? Perhaps he was insane. In that case, she would introduce herself; the mentally unstable ones always held grudges against someone, and half the time they wanted that someone dead. Targets were targets, no matter who the order came from, and there was nothing Nikita despised but her own hands staying idle.
Truly, there was nothing else she despised. She wasn't a loving girl, but nor was she a hateful one. Like so many others, she lay comfortably in between.
Faster than seemed possible, Nikita moved from the middle of the pond to the shore, her hair flying about again as she stood next to the insane blond boy who clapped and waved.
"Hello," the teen said, her flat voice truly just... well, flat. She had no social experience. She didn't particularly care.

Quite frankly, Alistair was a little surprised when the girl approached him. Her speed was definitely notable. He took the time to examine her now that they were close enough to do so. She looked around the same age as him, they might even be the exact same age for all he knew. Her clothing wasn't all that strange- a little light looking for this weather, though. All in all, Alistair thought she was... well... pretty.
He took a moment to pull his hood down, not wanting to be rude. His light blonde hair rustled a bit as a cool breeze blew by. "Hello~" He said with a smile. "It's a bit chilly here, aren't you cold?"
