Fairy in the desert ruins (Kotone)

The deserts, why was it he decided to come out here again? Oh yeah to look for treasures that had been left out here by travelers that got snatched up and away by either the Gerudo or monster and poe that lurked out here.

Slowly the young looking man lifted his head as he took a glance away from his boots. Sure in all black he stood out like a sore thumb but luckily that yellow jacket provided enough camouflage against the sands that he sort of blended in.

A light sigh came from him as he spotted ruins up ahead. That'd be a nice place to take a break out of the hot sun for a while. Hell maybe even draw energy from the heat and use it to heal whatever burns his skin had. That'd be useful but it'd be a waste of energy for the time being.

Taking a look around the ruins he eventually realized that the entrance was blocked save for a smallish hole in between rocks and rubble. A small smirk grew on his face before he used his white magic and shifted in to a much smaller sized form, the red, orange and yellow wings fluttered behind him and he didn't look very impressed.

"Damn wings..." A grumble of words before he darted forwards in to the ruins through the small gap he'd found, now he was inside there really wasn't much point in changing back was there? After all if he stood on something and it crumbled underneath him? He'd be sort of screwed or maybe even skewered on spikes or whatever traps the place held. Maybe sometimes this little curse was useful to him and his little escapades.

"So the entrance was blocked... Well there's probably a reason for that and I intend to figure out what that reason is... I hope it's gold.... or something like that... Don't really feel like getting my ass kicked after traipsing through that damn hot as lava desert." A light chuckle before he slowly flew forwards, checking things, looking for cobwebs so he DIDN'T get stuck on them. The last thing he wanted was to get eaten alive by some god forsaken spider, what a way to go that'd be.

As he flew about within the place he thought he heard something within the ruins. An arch of an eye brow before he soared upwards in to a corner and tried to make the glow that he had subside. Though a bright yellow ball of light within a somewhat dark set of ruins was hard to miss especially when he made a damn good torch. Hey who knows maybe whoever it was inside the place was lost? Maybe they found another way in and now realized just how dark it was? Maybe juuuust maybe he could actually do something a good deed for a person to cancel out the thievery he committed the day before.

This place was a village home to humans who think they could move in with out Gerudo say so. It was destroy a long time ago before she really knew about it. Of course over time the sands cover it making it more like a maze under it hiding the info and treasure it holds dear. Well Kotone found records about it and figure she find out more about these people as it was a couple years after the great illness.

She was down there going threw stuff as she did have a torch but she put it out as soon she heard some sounds. However it seem they might of heard her too. She stay quite in the darkness then she saw it a light flew in the corner. Her eyes glare thinking it was the fairy queen as she hated that women and here she was again trying to get Marik again. She was not going to let that happen as since then she been carrying a bottle. she goes and used her Stealth. She moved around as her breath became even silence to deaf ears.

She gotten out her bottle as she waited behind a broken wall waiting for to move a bit. However after some waiting it did not seem to move. Her head came out a bit thinking it just might be a light bug. As her head came out her jewel on her forehead shines in the small light the fairy was giving off.

Sticking to that wall was sort of hard and he almost fell away from the corner though his eyes widened when he caught a glimpse of something... Shiny. Something. A gemstone perhaps? He grinned, so this place did have some treasure in it, but the problem was as he was soon to find out that the gemstone he wanted to take just then was on a woman's forehead.

Slowly he pushed away from the wall flying directly at the gemstone but he stopped when he got close enough to see that someone was actually wearing it. As a sort of head dress. Well. He couldn't take that without being seen now could he? That made him sigh.

"So.. I'm not the only one pirating in ruins huh?... Well..." He flew past her as fast as he possibly could and then tried to light up the room she was within more so he could see everything that glittered, keen eyes locked in on a chest and over he went almost forgetting that the woman was there. He was much muuuch more interested in the gold and treasures than a person and the problem with being small is if you nudge a chest lid whilst you're actually inside a chest full of gold? It snaps shut and you can't get out.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to him right now.

A sigh came from inside the box and a light mumble about the damn chest closing on him.

"Oi! Would ya mind gettin me outta here?..." He face palmed whilst he was stuck in that chest. The one thing he hated, being trapped, he'd actually brought upon himself. It wasn't as if he could actually get out of the keyhole on the thing either as that was too small for even a fairy to fit through.

Though he didn't sound like he was in much of a hurry to get out, why would he be? He was in a chest with his most favorite things. Gold, gems, and all things shiny. Well... It was easy to see where this faeries loyalties lay. With anything that glitters.

Kotone got face to face with a shiny guy with wings? She blinks for a moment as eh started to fly around as she looked confused. She was hoping for the fairy queen but no it was a guy with wings. Then something happen that was the funnies thing she ever saw. The fairy flew over to a chest nug it open then got catch inside of it as it snapped close. She started to laugh hard thought no sound came out of her mouth. However she was laughing so hard she was holding her side. It was the funnies thing she ever saw and she did not have to do anything.

She walked over as she relight her torch and sat on the chest. She was catching her breath from laughing so hard. AS she sighed she got off and open it up as she looked inside to the fairy. Her lips moved but no sound came out to the fairy guy or boy... it thing. 'Like gold?' she smiled at him as she tried not to laugh to much now. It just seem so un real to see that happen and she did not have to do anything.

He heard the sound of something above, was that woman that was out there sitting on the chest? It sounded like it or maybe she was moving the chest? No otherwise he'd have felt weightless like when he was fluttering around in this stupid form of his. Blinking a few times he actually bit a piece of the gold in the chest just to test if it was real, when the lid was lifted he looked up at the woman, a coin still wedged in both hands and partway in to his mouth.

'Like gold?' She ... Couldn't speak? That actually made him frown, though he wasn't really concerned about the problems of others, there was something about someone that had no voice or some other thing such as the loss of sight that made him cringe a little. He looked a little bewildered for a moment or two before he dropped the gold coin.

"Yup. Sure do. Best thing in the world. Gold, Gems, anything of value." She was smiling at him, probably because of his idiocy and getting caught in the damn treasure chest but he didn't mind. At least there was someone smiling at his stupidity and of course they'd opened the chest for him so he could now get out.

"Uh... Not sure what to say apart from that's probably the dumbest thing I've done so far in about twenty years or so." Well, he didn't really know what to say so he was just trying to make conversation right now.

"Oh and uh... How'd you get in here? I mean the way I got in was all blocked off by boulders so I had to use my head and just get in through a gap..." For him it was sort of useful being that size sometimes, though he'd more than likely say it's more of a curse than a blessing. Especially when he isn't to fond of having those girly wings of his.

"I'm guessing you're one of the Gerudo?... If so... Then... Sorry I'm in your desert... Didn't really think I'd run in to another person out here." Though his words may have seemed like he was apologizing his tone was almost as if it were in a constant state of calm. He wasn't too fussed about anything it seemed, not even the idea of her just leaving him there in that box. He'd have found a way out eventually.

Kotone blinks as she see the little guy biting the gold? Was he really testing it? what and odd fairy the second fairy she ever meet and oddly she like this one better then the other one. LOT better then the other one. He started to talk right away as she lean on he chest looking down at him watching him with wonder really. She never knew there was a male in the fairies but oddly it seem there was.

She smirk at him asking how she got in here. She pulled out a scroll as it was map to this place. It was simple to get in as the place was a lot bigger then one would think it was. However on top of the sand one would never know this place. 'I came for information maybe find form history or hidden information from long ago. So you go ahead take the treasure I got to much of that at fortress' her lips moved once more but no sound came out. She knew he felt sorry for her but she was use to that.

'Just one question... do you work for a Fairy queen?' she looked at him close. She could not help but ask as maybe she can get some info out of him or something. She wonder if he did work for her can she kill him or was that a no no form merik's rules. He did not seem to be a noble as he looking for gold in a place like this. So it was odd as fairies don't come up to the death zone unless they want something from their lands.

She was grinning at him after he asked how she got in, well more like she was smirking at him, then she revealed a scroll. Taking a look at it, he realized it was a map. So she actually knew another way in. That was definitely a good thing it meant he could shift out of this tiny little form of his and maybe just get the hell out at a different point.

'I came for information maybe find form history or hidden information from long ago.' He watched the lip movements, it was a little hard to understand at first but he caught bits here and there. He might have been a fairy but he wasn't the best at lip reading.

'So you go ahead take the treasure I got to much of that at fortress' That last bit made him almost flail.

"Wait wait what? You have more of this at a different place?!" He sounded almost like he was excited, that relaxed and calm tone melting away at the idea of more gold than what was in this place right now.

'Just one question... do you work for a Fairy queen?' He arched a brow at the woman.

"Nope. I don't even know her name... Was never really big on royals... Besides with all my thievery? She'd probably outcast me anyway." A sheepish laugh, it was true. He wasn't exactly shy about it either. Though he wondered why she was looking at him the way she was and slowly he moved and set himself down on the ground hiding those wings as he shifted back to a more suitable size.

"There... Much better... Now I don't feel like some sort of tiny little bug thing..."

Kotone nods to the fairy as he asked about her having more gold and all. Of course they were pirates after all pirate took what they can rather its ruppees or supplies they took it all. She knew if they did not use it they trade it off or let Ruma use it for her robots. However the more the listen the more thoughts came in to her head. This guy love treasure and he likes to steal and he not fond of the queen fairy. Heck he was perfect to be a pirate. The idea was a good once as Fairies heal. Well she hope this one did as it be great to have him around.

But as he climb out and got on to the ground she looked at him strange wondering what he was going to do. She never seen a fairy get bigger so this was a first for her. It was a huge shock as she fell back on the ground in shock. The little four inch fairy turn human size in a snap. She got up a bit as she still sitting on her butt as she looked at him with a shock face. She was speak less really she did not know what to say.

Popping his neck he winced a little as he heard a thud and he looked over to the woman as she sat there staring at him. Seemed he'd surprised her. Though he had to admit that that look on her face was priceless. A hand was offered to the woman as he stood there and he used his other hand to rub the back of his neck.

"Uh... Surprise?.... Okay that wasn't all that funny but... Uh... I guess you've never seen that happen right? At least it makes it easier to talk rather than my voice being a squeaking drone on your ears... Right?" He assumed that when he was small that his voice was a higher pitch simply because it was a smaller frame and smaller things tended to have a higher pitch of speech. Though of course to him it never really sounded any different, he was used to it.

"You know... I was kinda tempted to try and steal that gem that was on your forehead but... If you're a Gerudo... You'd probably have taken an arm from me for that annnnd I can't heal and arm back quick enough.... Even with accelerated healing..." A light chuckle came from him as he finished talking and then he smiled at her. A friendly smile. To most he might actually seem more honest than a thief. That just made things ever so much easier to rob a person blind. One of the reasons why he didn't get caught. He had a face that was honest and of course people thought faeries were good and humble.

Too bad that they were wrong about him if they thought like that.

Kotone look at him as he offer his hand to her but she did not take it as she got up by herself. She was not use to males really. No she only seen a couple in her life time. Most were the same trying to hit on Gerudo women because they only have on male in their tribe and so on. They really did not know the rules of the tribe. The women pick the men not the other way around. The women would kidnap men who they think will have strong seed to make strong children.

She dust herself off as she looked at him as he went on talking then she nodded to him. 'If you tried that you would lot more then a arm.. more like wings and a leg then stuff in a bottle to be used by my sister as power for her robots' her lips moved as she was telling a lie but it would be funny to see his face anyhow. No in fact if he did that he be dead right on the spot no question asked.

'Healing? Well how about join the pirate crew. I'm sure the Pirate King would not mind having you join the crew since you like treasure so much' her lips moved. Ok she would not know what Merik would say but it was more people to his crew. She did not think he would say no to it after all they needed more healers in the group. To many people get hurt and this guy just like gold so it be easy to make him happy.

She didn't take his hand so, perhaps he was being too much of a gentleman? Oh well he still offered that was the good part of it. After she'd dusted herself off she nodded to him. So he was right on the losing something.

'If you tried that you would lot more then a arm..' His eyebrows arched upwards and he actually felt the corner of his mouth tug upwards in a light smirk.

"Well.. That'd be a hell of a way to go... Though I think I'd prefer an explosion or somethin' never really liked the idea of bein' an amputee." He was still grinning, he actually found this conversation amusing. Either he was brave or he just had no fear. One or the other. He wasn't stupid that was true as much as he acted like it at times. That was all a facade, a way of making a person relax, after all, what idiot would know what things were important and what weren't?

'Healing? Well how about join the pirate crew. I'm sure the Pirate King would not mind having you join the crew since you like treasure so much' That grin spread even more now as he lifted a hand to his chin. Rubbing at it lightly before he gave a moments thought about it.

"Lemme sleep on it... Can't exactly make a decision unless I know who I'm workin' for now can I? If it was just you then sure, you'd have a fairy companion but a king? Sounds a bit high and mighty there..." Again the relaxed tones came before he finally headed over to the chest and then he picked the thing up, he wasn't exactly weak but he wasn't overly strong either and it took a bit to move something as heavy as gold.

"Okay so uhhh... Mind pointing me in the right direction again? Or just letting me take a quick look at that map again so I can remember the route?"

Kotone smirk at him as she saw he did not like the idea being torn apart if he take her jewel. Which is good that better stay in his head and not take her jewel. Heck that can be said by any female gerudo as they see their jewel was a mark of their women hood. She goes and closed the chest and sit down on it once more as she listen to him talk. She chuckle a bit but no sound came out.

'Well you can work for me sure its no problem with that. But you don't have to be the King's fairy not once your a pirate you can travel out with anyone you want. Of course unless there a mission to be giving to you to do' her lips moved explaining the ways of the pirates. 'I'm the King's bodyguard and his adviser so I'm always busy if not fighting studying or exploring new areas' she looked around the cover under ground ruin village then back to him.

Kotone shook her head at him as she stick the map in her chest as she looked at him. 'Not going to happen it for my eyes only as this place and that map is for the pirates and gerudo' she explain him. She was not going to be nice to him since he not pirate or a gerudo. Plus he was no royal person so she had no fear of killing him at the moment if she needed to.

'Well you can work for me sure its no problem with that. But you don't have to be the King's fairy not once your a pirate you can travel out with anyone you want.' He arched a brow and then folded his arms after she sat on the chest so he couldn't possibly move it. That. Kinda sucked. He even narrowed his eyes at the woman, she was getting in the way, getting in between him and gold though he'd rather keep his head intact and so he shrugged letting it go.

'Of course unless there a mission to be giving to you to do' He was watching piecing it together and he used a hand to rub at the back of his neck. Just what the hell had he gotten himself in to now? He was getting himself in to a lot of trouble it seemed.

'I'm the King's bodyguard and his adviser so I'm always busy if not fighting studying or exploring new areas' She was looking around the ruins, so this was a new area? Odd really it didn't look new at all. Now he saw where she put the map, in her cleavage, that wouldn't have stopped him usually, he'd have just taken it anyway, but he'd rather not get on the bad side of a pirate Gerudo woman who could probably kick his ass since he was a healer and had nothing really offensive save for his intellect and his daggers.


'Not going to happen it for my eyes only as this place and that map is for the pirates and gerudo' He gave a groan and even rolled his eyes before he just shrugged and then stuffed his hands in his jacket pockets. After which he turned away from her and started strolling out of the doorway back the way he came in originally.

"Eh guess I'll find my own way to see this king of yours then huh?" What was he saying? Was he really agreeing to actually talk to a pirate lord/king whatever the hell he called himself? Yes, why? Because he just wanted to see what they had to offer that he couldn't get himself.

After all most do say there's no honor amongst a band of thieves and if that were true? Well then he wouldn't want anything to do with them, even he had his own moral codes but give him enough shinies and well he'd probably forsake those morals of his. It was almost like dealing with an immature dragon not a fairy but people have their own quirks and his was treasure.

Kotone was glad he took everything to heart as a pirate life is not good. They kill people they rob and steal it not for good kind hearted people really. So he needed to see what he wanted to do thought a healer would be nice they did not need one that was soft hearted. she let out a sigh as they guy turn walking away talking. She roll her hand up in a fist as that was very rude of him as she can't make noise or speak like people can. Looking away from her is like a slap in the face.

She took her pole arm dagger and threw it at him. She was really aiming at him as she did not like it when people do that to her. She stood up when she threw it. He was talking to her and not looking at her. How in the world was he going to get an answer from her if he can't see her gesture or move her lips. If he does turn to see her she be liping on how rude he is to turn his back to her when she was trying to talk to him. Or the fact if he try to go find the king with out a gerudo with him or a fellow pirate beside him he will be dead no questions asked. However he won't know that since his back turn on her.

His ears poised and he heard movement behind him, she stood and he turned only to see a weapon flying at him, on reflex he flicked one of the concealed daggers he had out from his sleeve to knock it away so it didn't pierce his chest luckily he made it rebound to the ground and simply got a nasty cut on his thumb where the womans blade caught him, not to mention the shaft smacked one of his shins which stung a lot before it clattered to the ground. With that done he slid his own dagger back in to it's holster where it clicked in to place.

Eyeing her and her lip movements he sighed.

"Now that wasn't very nice was it, geez, trying to stab me in the back already? I was gonna turn back when I got to the damn doorway." With that he walked to that doorway that he'd flown in past her earlier and leaned with his back against it. Arms folding across his chest.

"See? No need to get so paranoid that I'm just gonna ditch ya, 'cause I know I'd just get lost in the deserts, or if I actually found the place I'd end up a prisoner or dead, I ain't stupid so I'd need you to show me the way there anyway." That said he closed his eyes and sighed, eyeing the cut on his thumb he just hoped that weapon she'd thrown wasn't poisoned. He wasn't immune to that. He flicked the blood on the floor, it might be a deep cut but it'd heal.

"So... Are we going then? Unless you need a night light to help you see in the dark, one that won't go out, of course cause everyone knows faeries are useful for that at least right?" Looking to that weapon on the floor he headed over to it using his non-bloodied hand to pick it up off the ground before he headed over to her holding the weapon towards her grip first so that the blade was facing himself. A sign of trust. She could easily kill him if she wanted too but he trusted her enough to think that she wouldn't and that he just annoyed her a little bit which he actually didn't intend to do.

Kotone was not going to feel sorry for him one bit. He had no idea what he did to her he just seem like he was blaming it on something else. Then again he turn his back to her and walked away. She rub her hair out of anger as he was walking away. Not only it make it hard for one to read her lips but his light was going away too. So the area was getting darker making it harder to see and all.

She stood there until he came back with her weapon and gave it back to her. She took it back but she stomp on his foot as she grab him by the shirt and stare him in the eyes. She only back away form a bit so he can read her lips. 'Don't turn you back on me. I can't speak so you need to see my lips or gestures at all time' she lip to him as she was very upset about it.

'I listen to you when you speak you watch me when I speak' she lip him one more time as she let go of him She pointed the other way as she headed the other way out. However she stop and looked at the chest then him wondering if he was going to get that or leave it behind. It did not matter to her as she just mark it on her map later on to go pick it up next time she down here.

As he handed the weapon back to her she took it before she stomped on his foot. He didn't make a sound, instead he just gritted his teeth and frowned at her as if asking what the hell she did that for. Though it didn't stop there she grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer than he'd like to personally be, didn't she know about personal space? His eyes widened a bit and in the light that he shed which rebounded off her face his pupils went small, the icy blue color that was their true color revealed. Cold eyes. As she pulled back enough so he could see her mouth his pupils went back to their usual size and the blue shifted to a much darker shade once more.

'Don't turn you back on me. I can't speak so you need to see my lips or gestures at all time' Oh so that's why she was so mad at him, his foot still stung like a ***** but he wasn't going to complain about it. He wasn't some wussy little kid.

"...." He said nothing though. Not a single word.

'I listen to you when you speak you watch me when I speak' He just stared at her. Still nothing instead he simply gave her a nod and then followed the woman as she started to head out. Of course he looked at the chest, stopping for a moment next to it he flipped the lid open on it and all he took were a few rupees which he pocketed, just enough so that he wasn't out of pocket. Then he flipped the lid back down again before he caught up to her and just traipsed along beside her. Glancing at her every so often so that he could see if she were speaking of not.

This woman is a pain in the ass... That's for damn sure... Though I wouldn't have been able to get outta that chest without her. The few words that ran through his mind as he thought over the situation and the possible outcomes of it all.

Maybe she'd see it was odd that he was silent now but he didn't feel like talking with her about anything. He just wanted to get the hell out of the place. Get gone.

Kotone did not care for fairies no at all. Why did they think they can get away with everything? Her mind went back to she should of bottle the freak and gotten things over and done with long time ago however she tried to make him a pirate. Bad thing very bad idea. Oh well trail and error thing. As soon she guide them threw the traps and maze they was finally out as she open up the place with a key. They was back out int he hot desert sun once more. she locked the place back up.

She gave off a whistle as her horse came running to her. She soon pat the horse down and got on it. With out a wave or anything she rode off.
