It wasn't a feasible idea, but Ruma knew she was going to have to try and get some sort of a magical storage device. Problem was, anything she tried to make it out of would melt, shatter, or deteriorate. She needed something really strong, with a high melting point so that she could store some of her own power. Metals, glass, nothing could stand the heat for too long without becoming useless.
"What to do, what to do?" she thought for a while as she moved on to another project. Her beam cannon was also looking for a form of power to allow it to sustain white-hot energy. Where she planned to set up the energy core, she stuck her hand in and created a fireball. While the cannon absorbed the energy from the fireball, she set up the beam to fire at a thick metal plating. After a moment, the beam cannon had charged, firing a thin burst of energy that dissipated before the cannon went and short-circuited with a loud "bang".
"What!? Dammit! I was so close. Well, let's see what the damage is."

It was relatively surprising at how easy it was to slip into the fortress. These women had cast her out, after all, left her to die... but then, that had been thirteen years ago. Fayth doubted if any of them would even know who she was now. And, because she still looked like a Gerudo despite her distance from the Gerudo community, they just... let her through. She tried her hardest not to jump at every turn or cry at every sight of a gleaming blade, and though it was difficult, she finally made her way into an abandoned hallway.
At least, she thought it was abandoned. After standing there for a moment, she heard a loud bang coming from her right. She blinked a few times, unsure if she wanted to check it out; but after a period of thought, curiosity trumped fear, and she meandered down the hallway. As she walked, Fayth fished Ace out from underneath her oversized sweater and hugged the stuffed bunny close to her, somewhat comforted by the familiar if inanimate presence.
She paused before a door after hearing a voice float up from behind it, and timidly she pushed the door open, taking delicate steps until she was barely in the room. Would Grace be in here? Maybe not, but maybe the person in here would know where Grace was. Fayth hadn't been to the Gerudo Fortress in such a long time, and to be perfectly honest, she'd probably get lost without help.
"E-excuse me," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. The door slammed shut behind her, and she jumped slightly, turned to stare at the source of the offending sound with wide eyes. Fayth skittered a few more steps into the room, clutching Ace until her knuckles turned white.

Ruma was inspecting the damage to her cannon as Fayth walked into the room. After the bang things were relatively silent but Ruma was too focused on her project to notice the entrance of another. Typically people knew when a long bang went off in this area who the culprit was. She meant to eventually soundproof her quarters but the walls were too thin for that to be effective.
"Hmm, power converter seems to be operational. No long-term damage to the hull, seems to be simple overheat. Find a replacement wire and...aah!" As she turned around to pick up some spare parts, she finally noticed the girl in the room. She felt bad not knowing who she was, but she hadn't met half the fortress, so it wasn't too bad. Being sealed in your room did have its disadvantages.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. I just need to replace the wire that connects the power converter to the energy conductor." It was her typical response to guests. Anyone in the halls during one of her mishaps usually checked on her to make sure she was ok. However, they typically knocked.

Fayth jumped again as the strange Gerudo finally noticed her presence, clutching Ace even tighter to keep her hands from shaking. She didn't have a clue as to what the woman was talking about, but she nodded anyway, the movement causing a few flakes of dandruff to drift onto her clothes. She didn't really mind; it was a usual occurrence, and when she went to see a doctor about it when it first started, he said it was due to stress and that relaxing would cure it in no time. But relaxing wasn't really possible for Fayth; she was much too nervous about... well, everything to relax at all.
She glanced over her shoulder and took a few more steps into the room, anxiously biting her lower lip. This woman seemed to be really strange; there were gadgets and wires and metal thingies that Fayth couldn't describe all over the place. It looked like a death trap to the neurotic Gerudo, but she needed answers, so she just had to toughen up and get them, then get out without killing herself. Hopefully that wouldn't be too difficult.
After a few awkward moments, she spoke again, her soft voice trembling slightly. "S-sorry, but... um... d-d'you know a Grace? Grace Tyrell?"

Ruma could tell that the young one was scared. She also had enormous hair, which was prone to get caught in something. Ruma needed to make sure she didn't hurt herself on any of the gadgets, which she was clearly uncomfortable around. It was something to make note of.
When it came to her question, she sat in a nearby chair, putting a hand to her chin and pondering on the name. It sounded familiar, but only faintly. The most she knew was that Grace was here at some point, but it would have been a long time ago.
"Grace, Grace, the name strikes a chord, but I can't put my finger on it. Give me a moment please." Ruma got up off of the chair and moved herself to a desk she set up against the wall. She was looking for an old book. "Please wait outside my door, I will be with you in a moment. Grace, Grace." The book she pulled out was old and dusty, and she began to flip through it, looking for the name to appear.

This woman scared the crap out of Fayth. Sure, most things scared the crap out of Fayth, but the science-y woman scared her almost as much as knives did; in fact, her breath was coming short and she was sweating more than she usually did in the desert.
Still, that didn't stop a bright smile from appearing as the woman said that Grace sounded familiar; just as a strange pang pounded in her heart, it swelled up with hope, and she bounced slightly in her anticipation. It had taken her three years to work up the courage to search the Gerudo Fortress, and maybe it would pay off!
"The last I know she was here would be... um... thirteen years ago," she said, not stuttering for once. She could find Grace, finally! The thought made her practically jump for joy, and she cheerfully bounced out the door, her massive hair hitting a couple of breakable-looking things as she went.

Luckily, Fayth didn't knock anything over that was too precious. The only thing that broke was an unfortunate glass jar that wasn't being used for anything. Besides, with all the parts she got on a regular basis that wasn't going to be hard to replace. She probably could put it back together with some heat and precision glass-blowing.
After a couple of minutes, Ruma appeared outside with the book in her hand. She didn't look particularly pleased, but it wasn't any bad news.
"It's as I thought. About 15 years ago, when I was 8, a Grace Tyrell came in here looking for a dispersion container. Just something to ration out food with. Naturally I provided her with the intended product, then she thanked me and went on her way. However, hear is where it gets interesting." She flipped through a few more pages and pointed at a specific part.
"About two years later, she came to me and returned the container without saying a word. I never intended to see it again, as it was a gift, but she just returned it out of nowhere. That was the last time I saw her." She closed the book and sighed. "In fact, I kept the container in case she ever came back for it. It's a bit rusted and dusty but it should work just as well."

She flinched at the sound of things breaking and opened her mouth to apologize, but the techy woman soon came outside. She twisted Ace's arm as the woman spoke, her brow furrowing and her bottom lip going in and out of her mouth as she puzzled over the events that had transpired.
"A... dispersion container?" Fayth was utterly mystified. What in the world would Grace need that for? Fifteen years... Fayth had only been four years old at the time, two years before the Gerudo booted her out, two years before the Tyrell sisters went off on their own.
The girl let out a heavy sigh, her previous joy vanishing in but an instant. "Well, thanks anywa-- oh!" It suddenly occurred to her that she should introduce herself, just in case this woman knew anything about Grace, related to herself. "I-I'm Fayth Tyrell, Grace's sister. What's your name?"

Ruma nodded. It was indeed a dispersion container. Probably just a practical usage, dispersing a set amount at the pull of a lever. It wasn't a necessity, but it was good for an easy method of setting proportions.
"Hi Fayth, I'm Ruma. Nice to meet you. Good luck with Grace. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I'm not privy to a lot of the goings-on, even in the fortress. Either way, you're welcome." She started to return to her quarters and her work, but stopped to say one more thing. "And if you see Grace, let her know I kept the container if she decides she needs it back."

Fayth gave a shy, grateful smile, oddly comforted by the idea that other people believed that she could find Grace. Well, of course she could find Grace. Not finding Grace was a ridiculous idea, but... just the fact that a member of her own race believed in her, if only somewhat, made her feel better. It made her feel strong, like she could find Grace all on her own. Which she could, right!
It wasn't like Grace was dead, after all.
After another soft 'thank-you', Fayth turned to leave, but it suddenly occurred to her that maybe she should try to help out a bit, even if the machines and gadgets made her want to cry. There had to be something she could do, right?
"Is there anything I can do t-to, um, help you out a bit?" the Gerudo asked, blinking rather rapidly. "I-I'd like to repay you somehow, for helping me and my sister."

Ruma thought about the offer for a moment. There wasn't anything she needed that the girl could offer at this very moment, but having another set of eyes and ears looking out for some tech wouldn't hurt at all. If this girl was searching for her sister, she might be traveling around, and could reach many places Ruma simply didn't have time for.
"Not at the moment, but if you could keep an eye out for any tech or fancy parts I'd love it if you could let me know." If she would find just one thing for Ruma, it would be considered a debt paid in full. Although to Ruma there wasn't even a debt to begin with.

The girl brightened up immediately, overjoyed with the idea that she could actually help someone for once in her life. She was so used to being... well, useless, that even the prospect of helping out just a little bit filled her with joy.
Fayth grinned at the techy Gerudo and clapped her hands together, already mentally planning the routes she could take that would lead her to places and people who could provide information about such things. She could be helpful! Oh, this was just amazing~!
"Alrighty!" she said, hopping a bit in her excitement. "I'll do what I can!"
With that, she turned to leave, this time taking special care to make sure that her hair didn't bump into anything. Once out in the hallway, her timidity would return with a vengeance, but she would make it out okay; Fayth had even more of a purpose now, and although she still looked over her shoulder every five seconds, there was a little more pep in her step than before.

Ruma grinned at the girl. She might be able to help her indeed. Tech wasn't exactly hard to find, but every little bit helped, especially with all the projects Ruma had floating around in her brain.
"Take care Fayth." She called out as the girl ran off in search of her sister and hopefully some tech. It made Ruma wonder what really happened to Grace. She seemed to be a really nice person, especially by Gerudo standards. She didn't swell on it long as she had plenty of work to do. The door closed behind her and soon the normal sounds of work resumed around her.
