APPEARANCE,

As a deku, Dekethorn is naturally short, only about 2 1/2 feet tall. Other than that, his body is typical Deku frame, with the exception of the red thorns growing out of his head.

Dekethorn doesn't fancy himself a fancy man. He only has one outfit, and wears it always.

WEAPONS,

Other than his snout-gun, Dekethorn carries around one of his thorn, removed and fashioned to be a dagger of sorts.

Ability: Acid Bubble

Dekethorn's mind, poisoned by years of horrid thoughts, has actually started to affect his body. His bubbles can be poisoned to deal one level of damage as well as slow the target. However, doing so requires magic to utilize.

Dekethorn has gotten firing deku nuts down to an art. He has achieved the ability to fire multiple nuts in one round, to a maximum of 3.

The Deku are small, funny looking, and not that tough. Furthermore, they’re weak against fire damage: any fire attack they take will do an extra level of damage to them. Luckily, the little guys know how to move around, using a few select abilities. The Deku can hop along water, which means that in any water stage, they can freely avoid one attack from the opponent’s last turn by spending their first action slot. They can do this as often as they want. In a stage without water, they can float in mid-air to get away, but this takes a little magical boost, so it needs a cooldown of three posts afterwards.

That’s not all, though! The Deku also have a couple of offensive options. By firing a Deku Nut, they can do one level of physical damage to a target, with a cooldown of one post. By firing a Deku Bubble, they won’t do any damage at all, but the target will suddenly find that they’ve been slowed down; all abilities that the target currently has on cooldown have their cooldown increased by one post.

HISTORY,

Born to a normal family in the Faron Woods, Dekethorn was actually born Dekma, but his name was changed after a few incidents. When he was young, he discovered that he loved to fire deku nuts, and got a special kick out of it when someone was hit by them. He began to make this a regular occurrence in his daily life, although many simply shrugged it off as a mischievous young child.

After about a year of putting up with Dekma, and multiple scoldings by his parents, Dekma wouldn't listen. His deku nut adventures became more frequent and more deadly. He was at the point where anyone in the deku village who tried to challenge him were defeated handily by his trained eyes and hard nuts. By the time his adolescence began, he practically had the run of the town. It was at this time he proclaimed himself leader and began to recruit followers to his cause, changing his name to Dekethorn, inspired by the acidic red thorns growing out of his head. He subjugated even his own parents to a life of hardship, gathering for him the best food for him and his few followers. He never allowed anybody outside of the village.

One night, when he was 16, one of the villagers managed to sneak out and reach a much larger deku settlement. She pleaded with their king to do something about this raving lunatic. They sent a large contingent of deku soldiers to combat this menace. And while none of them could defeat Dekethorn one-on-one, they had the advantage of numbers, and Dekethorn was defeated. He was scheduled for death by fire, but he managed to escape and made his way away from Faron Woods. He ended up at Hyrule Field, and made his way toward Lake Hylia. That was 2 months ago. Since then, he has kept himself occupied with a healthy dose of preying upon travelers, especially deku merchants. He always seems to elude the grip of the Hylian Guard and any Dekus sent to find him.
