The flight from Hyrule Castle to Zora River was not a long one. But the river was long and deciding the specific area The Raven Shade attack had been was allot harder that one might think. Enzair had been correct when stating that the weather would have washed the area clean by now. But Kylie knew there was the chance that one thing might remain. Zolanius had fired needles into the Zora that was his target which meant his weapon dropped a metal cartridge that held the ammo. In all fairness he could have picked it up himself. But when he was The Raven Shade he couldn't always be quite the perfectionist that he usually was.
There was still plenty of river left to search but the impatient Kylie was about ready to turn in when a glint caught her eye. Rushing over to it and pulling it from the grass, hoping to have gotten what she was looking for. Yet it was only a Brass pocket watch. Which certainly pushed the moment over the edge and the Adjunct went to leave. But what where the chances that something else glinting would catch her eyes. It was just inside the water on the river bank. No more than a few inches down. Back to being excited, though not quite as much so as before, she headed over to the glinting.

Kulau, even in his battered state, was still an adept swimmer. Despite two puncture wounds and a broken rib he managed to swim at average zora speed. Granted on land he could barely do a thing besides sit and mope but in the water he was still a proud zora.
Swimming down towards Lake Hylia, downstream was no issue. He could swim at low strength with the current. But on his way down, something caught his eye. A glint from the bottom of the river. He went to grab it and found it to be a cartridge of unknown origin. Certainly an odd contraption, he would have continued swimming, but someone was looking down at him. An oocca, perhaps? It was difficult to tell with the ripples of the water, so he picked his head up out of the water.
"Greetings milady. He pocketed the cartridge and attempted to climb out of the water. However, with his rib the way it was, he really had to struggle. He made it, but lay at the banks in pain.
"Gah! stupid rib! he gasped in between heavy breaths.

It was gone. The sparkling was snatched away by a blue hand which was the followed by the blue face of Zora popping out of the water, then the whole thing. He commented on his ribs which had bandages over them. Kylie was unsure what to say at first, she did not want the Zora to get a hold of the cartridge and link it back to being Oocca technology. But staying quiet to long would be odd. Just saying what came to mind would be best it seemed.
"Greetings to you as well Zora....Might I enquirer upon what you have found there? And while i'm just jumping to questioning things, there must be some story to how you ended up with a broken rib with a bandage that covers so much?" Hopefully the Zora had no idea what he had found. If he did then hopefully he wouldn't mind parting it for an Adjunct. Asking for the story was to hopefully butter him up a little. Some comments about how brave he must have been or something along those lines would work wonders.

Kulau turned, clutching his ribs in pain and giving a seated half-hearted bow to the oocca. He took the cartridge out of his pocket and looked at it.
"I don't know what it is. I was swimming along and saw it at the bottom of the river, so I picked it up. As for the ribs, I was assaulted by a man who called himself The Raven Shade. He killed a couple of merchants and then attacked me when I tried to bring him in for questioning. Gave me two puncture wounds and a broken rib." He pointed to small bandages on his fin and chest, indicating the punctures. "I didn't get a good look at him. All I could really see was the glowing eyes." He looked around a bit, getting his bearings. "Wasn't too far from here actually. Right around this spot, maybe a bit further inland was where I first saw him."

Kylie was shocked for a moment, though didn't let it show. Instead wearing a mask of sympathy. It was uncanny that just a few hours ago she had been talking about this very Zora. In the exact same encounter he was referring to. The only thing she could do now was go with the original plan. "That sounds like quite the encounter, someone who killed so freely must have been scary to face." Perhaps a bit of truth would work well in this situation. "Its odd enough that you where part of this encounter though. For as it stands I am here to look into this Raven Shade business. Kylie Highwing, Oocca Adjunct." Reaching out to shake his hand Kylie put on a wonderful smile. "Perhaps I could get a bit more detailed description of this encounter?" Not mentioning the object again quite yet was aimed to make it seem less important. As if it didn't quite mean anything to her either.

Kulau reached out to shake the adjunct's hand, wincing from the ribs.
"My apologies, milady, with all that has gone on, I did not recognize you as an adjunct. I am Kulau, a diplomat serving Queen Rutela." He slowly stood up, careful not to aggravate the ribs. They hurt plenty enough already.
"I was heading back from Lake Hylia one night when I heard a cry not far from the river. It sounded like someone was being attacked, so I felt obligated to investigate. It was then I saw the Raven Shade kill innocent merchants who were camping there for the night. Instinctively I confronted him on the matter and he became offensive, admitting to the crime and referring to something about killing inferior races. It was all unclear, except the killing part. We then began to engage in combat, where I proved to be overmatched. He swooped upon me, literally, and broke on of my ribs. I fought through, but was in too much pain once he got do dart-like objects in me. I jumped back in the river and swam back to the domain. From there my wounds were treated. The man had glowing eyes and what appeared to be dark feathered wings, although I couldn't tell in the darkness." He sighed, mentally cursing himself again for not being strong enough, like his brothers.
"That's the extent of my knowledge. I hope it suffices, milady."
