Located in the Eldin Province, north of the Bridge of Eldin lies a hidden village that was home to an ancient race of "shadow folk" who served the Royal Family long ago. Stories tell of these mysterious people and their dark mystical powers and artifacts which allowed them "sight beyond sight." It is said that if one were to obtain the three mystical items known as the Trinity of Truth, this person would posses the highest power of perception that rivaled even the gods themselves.
These ancient artifacts though have been lost in legend and few people even know of its existence. The last known recordings of their whereabouts stated that they were located in the village that the ancient shadow folk known as the Sheikah once resided in.
It has long been known by Hylian historians that this village was called Kakariko Village, although it is not to be confused with the one currently located near Death Mountain. The current whereabouts of the hidden village is known by a only a few people.
Zect just so happens to be one of these few people. The location was revealed to him during a very long drinking game with a Goron elder a few years ago. He hadn't thought too much of it until he learned of one of the artifacts in the trinity. From what was told, it was possible that it was one of the artifacts that Zect was in search of. If that was the case, then Zect would do everything he could to obtain it. The other two items weren't that important to him but if they were there then he wouldn't have a problem with taking those items as well.
And so the story starts with Zect walking around Kakariko Village in search of the bomb store. The path that would lead Zect to the old Kakariko Village was currently blocked by a wall of boulders and the bombs that he carried with him did not have enough explosive power to destroy the walls.
Zect was distraught though at being in such a low class village. He was surprised that they even had such technology here. Either way it was the closest place near the hidden village that sold explosives so he just had to bear with it.
He finally found the bomb store, although he was not pleased at its run down appearance. It looked like it had been abandoned already. Zect couldn't understand how commoners could be content with living in such a mess of a place. But that wasn't important right now.
Walking inside the building he talked to the owner about buying a special type of explosives known as Bomblings. Lucky for Zect the owner had one last batch of bomblings in stock for sale. Zect paid the man and walked out with a bag full of bomblings. He pulled one out to examine it and see how it worked. Without realizing it Zect had activated the bombling and was now counting down before it exploded.
He wasn't sure how to deactivate the bombling so instead Zect tossed the bombling as far as he could. The bombling landed on the ground and began running in a straight direction towards one of the run down abandoned buildings. It reached the front door before finally going off in a huge explosion. The building came crashing down into a pile of rubble.
Zect looked around to see if anyone had seen it. Since this village was practically a ghost town he was pretty sure that no one had seen what had just happened. Zect just put away the remaining bomblings and headed over to where the hidden village was at.

Jin watched, a look of amazement on his face, though hidden by the wrappings that he used to cover his head when traveling. It was a look of pure entertainment and surprise that he even forgot that he was using the building that had just exploded as a temporary sleeping spot. That being said, he really was just sleeping on top of it, but it didn't matter anymore.
He was much more interested in the man who had destroyed the building and the bombs that he had with him. Picking up a few of his things and stuffing them into his bag quickly, Jin slung his over his shoulder and headed after the man named Zect. His shields were attached to his forearms and his back, his jacket-vest was fit on and he grinned. He could smell a simple scent in the air, one that never actually had a smell.
Jin's blood was bubbling and his eyes burned with anticipation. He could smell adventure. Raw adventure with a hint of mystery, and this man was the center of it, at least for now. Rushing over to the man's side, Jin grinned at him and spoke, "I saw your little show there. Good thing not many people where here." He stuck his gloved hand out to the man and nodded his head, "My name is Jin. What are you up too."

Zect stopped and looked at the newcomer. He should've known that someone would have witnessed that accident. Strange that a human would be so bold as to come up to a Hylian, especially one that was a branch nobleman. Then again Zect had made an effort to conceal this fact from the outside world. But now that he had a witness, Zect couldn't let him know what was going on. For now he would just hvae to make up some kind of story.
Zect gave a innocent kind smile and chuckled. "I am doing some roadside renovating. A pathway has been blocked out and I have been hired to reopen it so that it can once again be accessed by the common folk."
It was a good enough excuse. But Zect had a feeling that it wouldn't be enough to get rid of the human. No matter, he would just have to use the human to aid in his quest. If the situation got heated, then having the human stick around could prove beneficial. It wasn't the first time Zect did this. Almost his entire excavation crew consisted of these common humans.
"Might you be interested in coming along?"

Jin rubbed his chin and looked at Zect for a few moments before shrugging and looking at the rubble of the small shack. "Well... that seems like an ok reason, though I have to say, there seems to be something a little odd about that statement. Doing this roadside renovating for a company or something? A professional roadside renovator?"
Granted, Jin might of just set up a small trap toward this person he just met, but it wasn't like he was doing it meanly. Jin just had a little curious of a mind at times and the man seemed to be hiding something. "You bet I am interested in coming along. Who knows whats going to happen when you do that roadside renovations. Explosions are always interesting." He said with a grin.
Jin walked closer to the Hylian and waited for the fellow to lead the way to adventure, watching him but smiling happily. "Who knows, you may need someone to guard a simple explosive construction worker like you to your destination."

[Sorry for the delayed reply. Stuff got in the way.]
"Well with such recent reports of bandit attacks happening all around the Hyrule area, it has become quite a dangerous job for roadside renovators. However, I will not let a bunch of cowardly Bulblins get in the way of my job!"
Zect sounded quite convincing with that little speech he quickly came up with. Short, yet full of enough motivational prowess to get anyone pumped up. Hopefully this would be enough to get the human to tag along for the trip. Zect was sure that there would be some sightings of monsters when he got to the pathway. He could take care of them on his own, but he didn't want to risk one of them stealing the treasure behind his back while he was fighting them off. With the human here they could focus most of the attack on him while he searched for the treasure.
And so he set off to the direction of the northern Eldin bridge where the hidden path was located. The bridge was known for having wandering thieves and bandits hiding around to rob folks who were crossing the bridge. It seemed rather strange that the royal family had never thought to place a few knights there to keep watch.
But this thought never crossed Zects mind. Back then, whenever his family did any kind of traveling they always hired quite a number of royal guards to accompany them. Perhaps it was too expensive for commoners to hire any type of protection for them.

He looked at the Hylian before shrugging his shoulders at what he had to say, simply walking along with Zect. Jin really didn't care about the reason, what he wanted was the adventure that seemed to be along with the job. Bulbins were annoying creatures, but he was a little better suited for fighting them now then he was before, and that made him happy.
They walked for a bit, heading toward the large bridge that Jin hadn't actually been to before, keeping a few steps behind Zect. "So, what is the point of these renovations? A new pathway to avoid these monsters or something?" Jin asked, looking over Zect a little bit. This Hylian looked nothing like someone who was hired to do something like this, but Jin had to wonder if he actually mentioned being hired before.
"After things explode, I think we should quickly leave the area unless we want all the bulbins swarming us." Jin added, looking at Zect, trying to see his reaction.

"The renovation is for reopening an entrance." Zect quickly replied. This human sure was asking alot of questions. Humans were quite the nosy race though so Zect continued to answer the tag alongs questions. As long as he continued to hide the truth behind his plans there was no need to try and make up a bunch of stories to cover himself.
As they reached the area where the Eldin Bridge was located Zect could see a small group of bandits gathered at the bridges keep. He was expecting they would eventually show up, but he had hoped that he would have a bit more time. There was nothing he could do now the loud explosion from the bombs would easily be heard by them. Nothing they could do now but engage them.
Zect stopped dead in his tracks and motioned Jin to follow him where he hid behind a large boulder. It was now time to come up with a plan.
"In case you didn't notice it looks like we won't have to really worry about attracting attention anymore. Bublins are simple minded creatures especially in combat, but they make up for it with large numbers. What we don't want is to have them call for more of their kind."
Zect peeked out behind the boulder and took a look at the group through a pocket sized telescope. Scoping around he spotted one of the Bublins that was carrying a blow horn. Zect looked over at Jin pointing at the target.
"See that creature right there? We need to take him out and make sure none of the other pests use that horn to call for reinforcements. If we do that then we can handle the rest of them since there's only about six of them."

Jin walked behind Zect, trying to figure out what exactly this man was doing, and why he was hiding it from Jin. The entire thing seemed like a stupid thing to do, but everyone has their own secrets he supposed, Jin just wished that he knew what the man wanted. It was more then a little boring being kept in the dark like this.
The two seemed to reach their destination a little bit later, and Jin spotting a group of creatures he wasn't particularly fond of. Bulblins. Oh how he hated the creatures, the source of most of his pain during his two year desert trek. He turned his attention to Zect when he began to speak about the bulblins and how they worked.
"Never doubt the skills of a target, even if you've encountered others like them before." Jin said softly, watching Zect as he pulled out a strange object, soon recognized by Jin as a telescope. He was surveying the area, so Jin would just wait for what the man's plan would be.
When he pointed, Jin got up and followed his finger to a bulblin among the others. He was carrying the signal horn for re-enforcements alright, which meant he would have to be taken care of first. "Sounds like a good plan, but how are we going to get close to them without them noticing us, I don't have any ranged skills."

"Hmph you give these creatures too much credit mate." Zect said. True it was best not to underestimate your opponent but when it came down to it, Bulblins were a dime a dozen as far as their way of thinking. This was ideal for them especially for Zects next plan.
He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a purple rupee. Giving it a quick clean up he held it out in the direction of the sun to have the jewel reflect off of the sun and towards the Bulblin they were targeting. It quick purple beam flashed at the creatures tiny red eyes just enough to get its attention. Zect left it near where they were at so it could be visible in plain sight.
"One thing these creatures all have in common is their love of shiny objects and money. Lucky for us rupees cover those two categories. Once it gets close by we'll overtake it and steal its horn."
Sure enough the Bulblin fell for the trick and was walking over towards the purple rupee without telling any of the other Bulblins about what he saw. Bulblins were such greedy little buggers that it made this plan all too easy.

"Try living the way I did for the last two years and you wouldn't be so at ease around them." Jin said softly, shivering slightly, some of the scars on his body aching at the thought.
When the Hylian pulled out the Purple Rupee Jin couldn't help but simply stare at it for a moment, knowing that such rupees were generally considered to be one of the more expensive types. He shook his head and watched as Zect used the jewel to attract the attention of the bulblin with the horn.
"Let me take care of destroying the horn and taking out that Bulblin." Jin said, cracking his knuckles and waiting as the monster approached. When it was simply a few feet away from them, Jin rushed out, grabbed the Bulblin by its mouth, cutting off its ability to cry for help, and pinned it against a cliff on the other side.
Picking the horn up from the struggling Bulblin, Jin crushed it in his hand before making a fist and punching it straight in the gut, the impact a little loud, but the other Bulblins didn't seem to hear it. Letting the creature go, Jin watched as it fell forward before turning to Zect.
"Alright, what's next?" He asked, an almost dark grin on Jin's face.
