The Skywardens are the chosen defenders of the great sprawl that is the sky. The all share two characteristics: they’re great warriors and they have the ability to fly. They are chosen in order to uphold the Sky Lord’s peace, to keep order in the blue and protect all the denizens who dwell under the domain of the City in the Sky.
The Ophanim is the leader of the Skywardens. He or she typically remains in the palace in the City in the Sky to protect the Sky Lord and the capitol, and leaves to do the tougher missions, the ones that require true leadership and the full might of the Skywardens. The Ophanim is quite renowned and hailed a hero across the sky, as he or she is only assigned the role if they are a great warrior and hero.
The Dominions are the outliers and scouts for the Skywardens. They patrols the skies and lead battalions and squads of Skywardens into missions. If something is wrong, these guys are likely nearby or should be sought after, as they have the means to rally the troops and the prowess to handle many situations themselves.
Skywardens are chosen by Ryst Seraphine or the Ophanim, and only after proving themselves.
Skywardens are given the Chimaera Feather, a necklace with a single ornate feather one it. The Chimaera Feather is a powerful artefact and the price for losing one is immediate expulsion from the Skywardens. The Feather grants the Skywardens an additional half-level of damage on all attacks made while in flight.

All attacks made by the wearer of the necklace have an extra half-level of damage added to them if the wearer is in flight (completely off the ground) at the time the attack is made.
