Each member of the crew is given a crystal necklace known as [url=http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/DarkTraveller04/Pirates_Charm.png]the Pirate’s Charm[/url]. If a member of the crew speaks the name of a crewmate into the stone they will be able to speak to each other now matter how far apart they are. Also if a member of the crew calls to the Defiant the message will reach the Communications Master via the Gossip Stone on the ship. As well as being able to contact individual Charms, the Gossip Stone can also send out a message to all the Charms simultaneously (generally in the event of an emergency).
