The desert's hot day wasn't nearly as harsh as its cool nights. The weather was more than bearable; in fact, Abe loved the desert at night. The stars could be seen so easily without any lights around, and the soft breeze felt better than nearly anything. However, common of him, Abe still wore the lightweight black cloak that concealed all but his face as he walked across the desert. He was en route to meet with a Gerudo merchant about some sundries that he'd been asked to retrieve, though he figured he'd camp out somewhere first.
His cloak billowed as the breeze picked up a bit, and Abe was simply thankful to be where he was. He hadn't had to lift his blade in months, which was a relief, though he was combat proficient. The ease of not having to defend anything was nice, though it often brought back memories of his brother Thomas, which wasn't ever enjoyable unless he remembered far back into his earliest days. Those days required that he sift through more harsh memories, ones that burned his conscious and threatened to bring tears to his eyes.
Thomas was a subject that few knew anything about, even to Abe's closest friends. He didn't speak of Thomas, nor mention his existence. What Abe had done, he had deemed unforgivable, regardless of whether or not it actually needed to happen. He regretted his decision, even though he knew there was no way around it. He hadn't ever opened up to anyone about it, not even his own parents, who died to know just how he felt about it all. Though, as always, he stayed quiet, kind, and reserved, waiting for someone to actually want to break down his walls.
As the young man walked, he saw the Colosseum in the distance. He was close, but it was late, and the Gerudo had likely all taken to their beds. Abe stopped, just a random place in the sand outside of the initial fortress, and laid his cloak out in the sand and laid back on it, staring into the sky. Tonight would be a wonderful night, and he hoped for easy sleep.

Most of her 'sisters' had retired for the night, but Lilith had always been a night owl, even as a child. The cool night air soothed her soul even as it chilled her to the bone, and although the moon above plagued her with memories of that night, it was a welcome respite from the beating midday sun. The Gerudo Desert was a far cry from the hustle and bustle of Castle Town, vast and empty even on the busiest of days; the sheer size of it made it impossible to control by oneself, but Lilith considered the desert to be her territory anyway. Anyone skulking about at night was an intruder, and she would deal with them accordingly.
Her twin tails whipping in the wind and the weight of Valhalla on her back, the black-haired Gerudo prowled about the desert, her footsteps silent on the cold sand. She kept close to the fortress, never allowing it to stray out of her sight; occasionally she clung to the wall of cliff sheltering the city, and she sometimes strayed so far that she could barely see the highest points of the structures within. But she always went back, Lilith mused; no matter how far away she went or how long away she stayed, she always went crawling back. Sisters, indeed.
A bright blue flame began to emanate from the girl's right eye as memories of her one, true sister flooded her mind; however, even as she pushed the thoughts away, the flame only burned brighter. Other than the stars and moon above, it was the only source of light in the desert, and Lilith felt exceedingly prone, even if there wasn't anyone else out here.
Or was there?

Sleep would comfort Abe, then it would elude him. The night, while the weather was pleasant to him, was not. His dreams came and went; he dreamed of being back in Hyrule, and then dreamed of being out in the forest or the desert where he felt more at home. He always felt more at home when he was isolated; that had always been the way of things. However, Abe had rarely-- if ever-- had someone with which he truly enjoyed company. He did want to meet someone, though. Someone who could penetrate him.
At one point in the night, Abe awoke due to his lack of ability to stay asleep. His bright purple eyes cracked open and reached towards the starry night sky. A calming sight it was indeed, though this time it didn't seem to put him back to sleep. He rolled over on his side, and saw something off in the distance that troubled him. He couldn't quite make out who or what the figure was, but it was there.
Suddenly, Abe grew nervous. Wearing black, he was a sore thumb in the tan sand of the desert. If the figure meant harm, it would easily be able to see him and get to him. If it didn't, which Abe preferred, it might still try to approach him. From the looks of things, the figure was a female, but Abe didn't think that she was a Gerudo. Those seemed to be the only people out in the desert, but this figure's hair and skin didn't match that of a normal Gerudo.
Abe didn't want to move. He was paralyzed with both curiosity and fear.

So the Gerudo's instincts were right. She wasn't alone.
Lilith didn't exactly blend in, either. Her skin was pale and her hair dark, and her clothing was pretty much all black. When combined with the burning brightness of her left eye, she was like a fire in the night: really hard to miss.
She took a moment to stare at the black figure, then abruptly decided to approach him. The stranger was a male, she could see, and most certainly not the Gerudo King. By all rights, he was a trespasser, and she would deal with trespassers accordingly.
Lilith pulled Valhalla from her back, her right arm up to her elbow disappearing underneath the plates that circled the blade's handle. She began walking; just walking, taking long but unhurried strides towards the man, her thick black hair streaming behind her. Her left eye burned; hell, it was always burning, because Briar never left her mind, not really.
If he tried to run, she would chase him down. As of now, Lilith stood in front of him, her massive blade looking as if it were a part of her arm.
"What are you doing here, trespasser?"

Abe was being approached, and he knew it. It was now too late for him to do anything else except react to the situation before him, and he did so accordingly. From a distance he could see the figure draw a massive blade, only a little bigger than his own on his back. She meant business, and therefore, so did he. Prowling low to the ground, Abe readied himself to jump up.
As the woman finally approached, Abe rolled backwards, drawing his own blade from behind his back, wrapped in bandages. He stood on a knee, resting the blade against the sand. He knew he wouldn't be able to wield it unless he activated Chaos, but he was prepared to do just that if it was necessary. However, as was characteristic of Abe, he wanted to approach a more civil solution before resorting to the blade.
Calmly, he addressed her. "Trespasser? I was just enjoying the desert." He said, a slight tone of playfulness in his voice. Perhaps, he hoped, she was the type to take things slowly and draw out a situation to understand its factors. He meant no harm-- at least, not until she took a first strike-- and really was simply enjoying the night. "To be honest," he began carefully, "I didn't realize that I was trespassing. I must say, for a tribe to occupy a desert so vast really blows my mind. It's almost as if no one can walk your sands without fear of being... driven out." Abe looked her in the eyes. His bright purple ones met hers, and he noticed that one of her eyes seemed to be burning intensely.
He didn't make any noticeable facial gestures towards the eye, but he remarked it as interesting, and was curious to see how it worked, or what it did. Not letting go of his grip on his sword, Balance, he offered a slight smile to the apparently-Gerudo woman.
