Once again, Ruma found herself covered in soot and very frustrated. She was so close to getting her work finished once again but the cables were fried. She couldn't access the encryptor without a solid cable and the only ones she had weren't sufficient.

She would have to go hunt for a new one.

She exited her room, heading down the hall to go meet with her cousin. Kotone may have what she was looking far, and since she was out of the fortress more often she may have the right piece from some scavenging. Not the best of odds but it was worth a shot.

Kotone? Kotone? You in there?" she asked while knocking on the door. She could've sworn Kotone was home now. Merik was probably off having diplomatic relations, so it was the best bet for now.

Kotone was in her room alright but it not like she can answer her she was after all mute. However seeing she turns down her cousin to be experimented on to get a voice. She just make noise back to say it ok to enter the room. ?Which she did as she knocked back at the wall. Inside Kotone's room are walls of books and scrolls with boxes of items from each place she been to or items that belong to different places. On the far side of the room is a HUGE map of everything in detail. Of course there are places on the map missing like temples and stuff as she has yet seen those.

Kotone was on that side of the room putting in pins in to the map. Red pins where events had happen to the world. She had not gotten to see them up hand however with Merik and the other gerudo's reports she gotten this is where the events post to happen. With some pins stick with pictures of items or people. She was a smart Gerudo like her cousin however she did not do with since but history. As one has to know the history so one will not repeat it.

She stop pining things as she turn to the door waiting for her cousin to come in. She heard the boom and wonder what she be needing this time. Her collection of items are going down because of her. However they been together for a long time even if she keep to herself in that robot room of her's. Kotone did not understand how one can do that to one's self with out getting some air or listening to the sounds around you. The only sound she knew coming from her cousin is the sounds of something blowing up.

Ruma heard the approval for her to enter the room. Entering, her eyes were drawn to the large map being pinned up on the wall. "Wow Kotone, that's a big map. And a lot of books. You've really been keeping yourself busy huh?" Ruma realized it had been so long since she had been in here. Even though she and Kotone conversed often times, normally Ruma just asked her from out in the hallways.

She approached Kotone and gave her a quick hug. Even if they weren't always on the best of terms, Ruma loved her cousin. And not just for the fact that she had a wealthy storage of spare parts. Thanks. My power cable just blew out, and I can't connect the encrypter device to the hardwired mainframe without one. You wouldn't happen to have a long sturdy cable on hand would you? All my spares are insufficient length." Ruma always wondered how much of her technobabble Kotone could understand. Most Gerudo couldn't, in fact most people couldn't. But without speech, Ruma couldn't tell with her dear cousin.

Kotone sighed as she shook her head and waved her hand at her. Mainly saying it was nothing. Then she open and closed her hands like a book then make a square with her hands after she pointed out of the room down the hall. She just told Ruma that there more in the book room or Library. She rub her neck a bit then looked back at Ruma just in time to get a hug from her.

Kotone stood there shock look on her face as then it went to what you want face. Gerudo female are not that huggy unless they want something from their sisters. Then she heard it as she pushed her away as she thought for a moment. Then nodded to her as she goes and pulls out some paper and went to writing. 'The Sky city monster had some good parts on it. The Gerudo guards are bringing some back and there might be some good size wires in that. It should be here before Lunch' she wrote down and show it to her.

'The mosnter was a robot... I think they named it Iron Kunkles. So Yeah you might want to take a look at it remains' she pointed to the bottom of the paper. She knew her cousin as she be right on that. Heck she be trying to rebuild it to make it so it would work for her. She knew her cousin to well even thought she is also one of Merik's close cousins like her she seem to be to wrap up in her work to care about anything else. Heck if she could she marry her work.

Ruma looked and read the paper. So there was a recent discovery. A giant iron knuckle. Interesting. Typically iron knuckles were possessed gerudo if she remembered correctly. More magical than machine, but perhaps this one was different. A very interesting find.

"Strange no one would contact me about this earlier. You'd think someone would have told the techie that there was some tech coming in. Either way, thanks for the heads-up sis. I owe ya." Ruma turned to exit the room, but stopped. If there was still some time before the new tech rolled in, then they had some down time to talk.

She turned back around and looked back at Kotone. "Can we...discuss something?" She had to be careful. They couldn't really talk about anything, since one of them couldn't talk. "I wanted to discuss Merik. I know you care and all, but I think you need to ease off with the jealousy. You know he cares about us, even if he sometimes takes others home with him." Ruma knew it was a touchy subject, but it had to be said. She was worried she was going to end up in the middle between Merik and Kotone, which was the last thing she wanted.

Kotone nodded as she waved to her cousin as she started to leave. She turn back to her maps and open up a scroll on reports coming in. She been piecing together all the events going on the best she could with the spies they have out there and the letters they steal from the mail mail. Poor guy always getting his mail taken. Well it was good for them that all that matters. As the state of Gerudo matters on keeping ahead of everyone and knowing what going on with the kingdom and so on. Merik wanted to take it over even if she knew it was a bad idea.

She blinks as her cousin came back and wanted to talk more. She pushed her scroll to the side and nodded to her to go on talking. It seem to be about Merik and her jealousy on women he is with or take to his bedroom. Kotone did not care for his subject at all as she had good reason in her head to be upset. She started to move her mouth if speaking but no words came out as she was clearly upset. She moved her hands like a butterfly then a finger showing a person as the two went together. She pulled her hand back and pointer to her self then slap her other hand that was the bug.

She rub her hair a bit as she walked around the room a bit still moving her hands wild like talking or yelling either way. Then she did T then an R t with her hands hen same thing like the bug. The main point was she would kill those women who mated with Merik. As it not right... well in her mind. She stop and looked at Ruma and pointed at herself. She did the whole finger person thing again as one was her and one was Merik. Merik just ignored her unlike the other women. She sat down and patted her chest then put her hands together then bent it like she broke a stick or something.

She pointed to the hall as she meaning Merik again. She shook her head and pointed to her head then did a 0 with her hand and stick out her tongue. Saying he has no brains. then pointed to her lower body then to the head saying he thinks with his manhood then his brains. She had to spot as she knew she could keep talking like this but her talking is more like acting trying to get the point across is hard when you can't talk.

Ruma couldn't help but shake her head. She understood what her cousin was getting at, how Merik should be paying more attention to the Gerudo and not those foreigners he found himself with frequently.

"What does it matters who he takes to bed? It's just lust. We and Mara are his closest living relatives, and no amount of foreign women he takes to bed with him is going to change that." She walked up to Kotone and put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "Remember, cousin, we're Gerudo. Blood relatives of Merik. Blood is thicker than...well you get the idea. Just...please, please don't do anything stupid. I don't want to think about what would happen." Her face saddened and she hugged Kotone again, this time with much more affection.

Thought her COusin thought she knew all but it fact she did not seem to understand a 100 percent what she was saying it seem. She knew she did not as Merik never understood sometimes. Sure Merik should be paying more to Gerudo but what she really saying. That Merik see ever female but her. It break her heart as she like Merik and wanted him to see her so badly but her voice will never reach him.

She put her hand on her cousin's hand on her should looking at her. She shook her head and point to Ruma and herself. She mouth again as it was so hard not to speak as she had a voice going up and now she does not. She hated it. she never got to say goodby to her mother or anything after that year of the sickness. She sighed as it got so hard to get points across. She did the finger to be Merik again as she pointed to him then moved the finger in front of her then Ruma then made another finger being the fairy and Merik jump at her. She put her hands down then looked at her and pointed to Ruma and herself and gave a shrug.

She just could not get it as Merik could love any female but the ones that been beside him the whole time. It was heart breaking and that why jealous is what Kotone does. She want that from him but know she will never get it. She never get the same think or even love from him. Just a sister bond that it.

She blinks as she said don't do anything dumb. She shook her head and pointed to her brain as as she smiled. As Kotone was not dumb as if she did something no one would know about it. Heck she got most of Ruma treats growing up as she out smarted her and Merik when growing up. Heck if she got rid of the fairy queen no one would know as she put the blame on someone else. It that easy for Kotone.

She blinks as she got hugged again as she sighed as she took the hug. She really was not a hugger like Ruma was. Well not to her Cousin if it was Merik she would not mind but her cousins or sister or guards or other gerudo females she really did not care to hugs. She had to be tough for Merik as she his bodyguard after all. thought a bodyguard is not much needed anymore since he pretty much grown up to be a fine Gerudo male.

Ruma wasn't so sure about all of Kotone's blame game avoidance. At this moment it was hard to believe anyone other than her would want the fairy queen gotten rid of. But at the same time, she was a very crafty Gerudo. To a degree, it worried poor Ruma. If Kotone did go through with the elimination of Titania, it might spark all out war against their people.

"Look, you need to do something to show Merik you really care. You spend so much effort trying to divert blame away from yourself you've wound up in the shadows. I don't know, write him a letter or do a dance." Ruma thought to talk to Merik herself, but she didn't want to get in the way. This was between Kotone and Merik. Ruma just needed to make sure everything was stable within the family.

Kotone sat there as she sighed as it was true she do seem to go in the shadows. However she still did not understand what those women have she did not have. Well besides having a voice of course. She don't know about a letter to Merik but a dance sounded good as it was one of Gerudo specials. Now what kind of dance should she do?

She pointed at at Ruma as she smiled a bit. Then pointed to her mouth a bit saying what she said before about the tech stuff. She moved her hands back then pointed at her then shook her hands then pointed to her once more then Kotone flick her finger beside her head. Well with all that she saying she not perfect either and she got to remember that. She cup her hands together and smiled. But they are still family no matter what.

Ruma nodded in agreement with Kotone's motions. Conversation was easier now that she had really began to gel with Kotone's mannerisms. Granted, some were easier than others. Seeing her cut up pictures of Tabula and the fairy queen wasn't exactly complicated.

"You're right, no one is perfect. You may not have your voice, but you have a number of ways you can assure Merik can't turn away. You spend so much time acting as his bodyguard. Remind him you're more than that." She winked to Kotone and did a little thrust, reminding her that sex appeal was always a factor. While Ruma may not know much about it, she was still a Gerudo and still had plenty of knowledge of the topic.

Kotone smiled and looked like she was laughing but no sound came from her. It was a bit sad but Kotone was happy at the moment. She paused a moment then smiled as she goes and went to write something down. This was a letter for Merik as she was already starting on it. It might take a week before she can fully how him how to feels but this be a good kick off. She goes and put the message in a bottle and hands it to Ruma to give to Merik for her. She really could not do it herself or he be trying to ask her what it was about.

Dear Ti Merik,

This is Kotone your Kaska. Would you please meet me a week of the full moon at Coliseum. I want to show you something that I can't express with word on paper. Please come alone.

Ruma stayed back and let Kotone write without any interference. Again, this was something between Merik and Kotone. More importantly, it was something Kotone needed to do without any help, at least in Ruma's eyes.

When Kotone was finished, she put the letter in a bottle and handed it to Ruma. She accepted it without hesitation.

"Good. I know everything will work out, just you watch. As much as I would rather see you hand this letter to him yourself, but I understand that it is necessary. If there is anything else you need me for, you know where to find me." With that, she gave Kotone one last hug, giving her a firm squeeze, although Kotone was stronger and the hug wasn't the firmest.

"Es sun bi, Prika." She could tell it was important since she used the older dialect. This was important.

Kotone smiled as she took it with out getting on to her not taking it herself. then she got another hug from her cousin. This time she did not put to much sigh in to it thought her cousin seem to be more of the hugging person. Thought she did not look like a Gerudo do to her pale skin due to lack of sun. She was still a Warrior of the Gerudo even if she did it threw robots.

What made her smile more was Ruma used the old tongue as very few Gerudo ever speak it anymore. She was glad that Ruma does as someone who study history like herself she find it a good remember of where they was and how far they came. She nodded to her as she hit her chest and gave a bow to her cousin lovely words.

Ruma smiled, glad that Kotone's spirits seemed to be lifted. Now it was time to do her part. She had to deliver this to Merik posthaste. If she were lucky, her schedules would work out and she could oversee the tech delivery right after she delivered the message to Merik.

Without another word, she waved goodbye to Kotone as she turned around and exited the room of her cousin. She didn't waste any time as she rushed down the corridors to meet her other elder cousin to deliver a message.

Well she was only down as soon her cousin told her to ease off with the jealousy. Then somehow she end up making a letter giving to her cousin to give to the guy she has a crush on. She watched her cousin leave as she smiled then turn back to her work. Of course at this point of time she forgotten what she was doing in the first place. All she has in her head is images of Merik about to read her letter. She shook those weak thoughts from her head as she get up and grabs her cloak. She needed some air and some time to get her mind back on work. She goes and leaves her room as she took her flute with her.
