~ ~ Je noie mon ennuidans la mélomanieThe girl looked around her, almost small in that small smock of hers, as she starred at the world outside of her forest, for the first time. She was still touching a tree, but it wasn't one of her own : it didn't feel the same to say the least. The green haired girl let the strands fall in front of her face, before giving a light smile : but it was an uncomfortable smile to say the least. Her fingers curled around a branch, as she took her first daring few steps away from the tree. Slowly, she finally released the tree, and took a few more steps. Panic was almost in her eyes, but curiosity was stronger, as the girl pushed, beginning to amble before slowly making her way out of the woods. It was strange : having lived her whole life in the trees, she was walking away from the very comfort that she assumed to be her own home, and went towards something that was unusual to say the least.
A few hours later, she was well on the roads : however, meeting a crossroad in the plains. The girl sunk to her knees, shaking slightly, those bangs of hers covering her face : the long green strands covering her small and fragile body. She looked like a small ball, the green eyed Kokiri stilling due to the unnatural, at least to her, environment. The girl was fighting to keep control : however something moved at the edge of her perception, the air stirring, as she stilled : instinct. For the moment of a heart beat, Ziva stayed still, waiting, breathing slowly. Whatever was coming, the girl would wait for the right moment to strike, should they prove dangerous, to say the least.
After all, unnatural territory meant unfamiliar grounds and more danger then usual.

Alistair sighed as he walked down a deserted path in Hyrule field. I really do need to get a horse. Then again, I'm not sure if I would be able to take care of it properly. Oh well~ His day was pretty nice so far, no fighting, no problems in general, really. Unless you count the whole world ending. As he approached a crossroad, he saw a figure. It appeared to be a child, but things weren't always what they appeared, now were they?
Being raised on a rather secluded farm, the only times Alistair had learned about other races were trips to Castle Town with his father, and in stories. Sure, he knew what Kokiri were, he just never assumed anyone to be one. He slowly made his way to the young girl, a slight smile mixed with concern painted on his face. "Hello there~ Are you lost?" He tried to keep his tone as calm as possible, not knowing if the girl frightened easily.

Steps?
Here?
The area was dark.
Why was it so dark here?
Wasn't it sunlight outside?
Oh. She had closed her eyes.
With a snap, those green jewels were open, staring at the ground, as she straightened up, whirling about suddenly. But she sensed no threat, even though he was very much bigger, the girl stared at him with eyes that were older then they should be. That spark in her gaze was like wild fire, as she drew to her height, before considering a moment, and then bared her fangs at him. ''So what if I am alright? Would I be tasty if I wasn't, or would I be wanted if I was? You look like a skinny flint, ready to be struck and burn : eager and perhaps a walking carpet, with all that hair. How does it even stick up that way?'' asked the girl, almost right off the bat, not even giving a name or finally, answering his question. Slightly rude, but there was an almost defensive sort of thing with her arms, as she felt her veins beat in a rhythm. She was ready to attack, should he do the slightest thing to annoy her. ''And, yes, quite lost : this place is strange. No trees. What do people live in, in a place with no trees?'' she said, tilting that green head to the side, before shaking it violently, and letting those green jewels fall on the male. The stare was intense, as if to see the lies before he should speak them : a lone human was easy prey. She doubted that he had people near by, or even understood what she could possibly do.
Even far away from home, she still had the advantage : because the predator always hunted for opportunities : and the unaware.

Alistair stood there calmly while the girl ranted on about him. He couldn't let his temper get the best of him, especially not while talking with someone this young. Then again, she didn't seem all that young, her vocabulary was advanced for what Alistair assumed her age was. It's simply too bad he still didn't make the connection that she was, in fact, a Kokiri.
"And, yes, quite lost : this place is strange. No trees. What do people live in, in a place with no trees?"
Alistair crouched down and looked at the "child". He still tried to greet her with a friendly smile, despite the fact that she had been a little rude to him. "Well, we build structures to live in." He tried to answer, but he found the question itself strange. She must have been raised in the forest if she doesn't know that trees aren't the only source of shelter... "Now, where are you headed? I could try to help you get there, if you'd like." He was going to try and help even if she had refused him, but Alistair knew that sometimes it was better to let people feel like they were in control.

~ ~ Je noie mon EnnuiDans la MélomanieThe green haired girl looked at the male, and narrowed her eyes. She kept those teeth of hers hidden, at least for now, as she just waved her hand suddenly. ''I don't know. Just somewhere. With people and races. I've never been anywhere, so I don't know what to tell you.'' she said, shaking her head, unaware of how lacking of social graces she was, as she just stepped right up to him. Stepping on her tippy toes, she stared right into his face, those big green eyes like a forest whirlpool : there seemed to be something lurking but it was never quite able to be pinned down, as she suddenly grinned, flashing sharpened meat eater teeth. The girl backed away, and looked up at the male, waiting for his response.
But she couldn't help herself but egg him on a little. ''So really, what's a little kid like you doing out here? You're gonna get eaten if you're not careful, aren't cha.'' she said, still grinning with those teeth, as she was watching him with now definable hungry eyes. Humans were so disgusting and she wanted them all to die, but she wanted to see if she could shake him : because shaken humans were easier to beat and eat, to say the least. And their blood would be hotter then.. which made it more delicious to say the least, as those eyes were unblinking and staring at him.

Clearly there was something different with this girl, and Alistair finally noticed it. Well... Sort of. After she had flashed her teeth and asked her... rude-ish... questions, He simply smiled. "You're certainly unique, aren't you?" He couldn't help but laugh a little bit.
Sure, Alistair should have been put off by the teeth, but he seemed calm as ever. It didn't seem like she was actually out to get him, so he assumed it was just a kid, well, being a kid. If only he knew the inner thoughts of the people he encountered; it would make for some interesting talks. "Well, Castle town is pretty diverse when it comes to races, so I'm sure it would pique your interest. I would be more than happy to escort you there." It's not that he disregarded some of the things she had said, he just chose not to acknowledge them.

~ ~ Je noie mon EnnuiDans la MélomanieOf course, she was watching intently, althought trying to make it seem otherwise. And when there was no reaction, nothing, the girl knew that she had a bit of work ahead of her. His obvious comment reached so low on the intelligence scale that even the flower commenting about pollen was more interesting. The girl was actually more curious about the mention of this Castle Town, as she hadn't heard of such a thing before. It was new to her, this concept of a town, as the girl's fingers curled into strands of her hair. ''Just point me the way : I've gone far enough from home today. I don't want to go further. And is there trees there?'' she said, the series of questions one after the other, as she seemed to be thinking, lost in her own world now. Indeed, she had come too far from home, but that was besides the point, as the girl's gaze landed on the little boy before her.
Another impulse in her veins, leaving a pair of quivering lips, and glowing green eyes. It was in her blood, racing : she was getting more and more hungry, and he was more and more the apple of her eye. This was indeed turning out interesting, as Ziva watched the boy, as neither name nor age seemed to be an issue : then again, she was a Kokiri and such things were best to remain forgotten. Because she would outlive this kid, like she had outlived humans before : it was only a matter of time, ironically enough. Time that flowed and changed, and moved all the time. Lovely, the feelings of time.

Alistair walked over to the little girl, turned so they were facing the same direction, and knelt down. He raised his arm, pointing his finger at one of the roads. "You just follow that road there. Soon enough, you should see the entrance- you can't miss it."
"And is there trees there?"
He scratched the back of his head. Another odd question. "Trees? Well, I'm sure there are a few planted here and there, but most of the town is paved roads and buildings." The question wasn't exactly difficult to answer, it just threw him off a little. Off all things, why would she worry about the trees? Wait... Ding! Alistair finally realized the race of the mysterious girl. Not that it really mattered to him, it was just nice to be able to understand why she was asking what she was asking.

~ ~ Je noie mon EnnuiDans la MélomanieThe girl felt him come closer, and her body tensed, as she felt the blood in her skin boil. He pointed somewhere, and she memorized the road, as he seemed to be answering her other question. ''Roads and buildings uh.. that's weird. How can people even life in that sort of thing? There's no comfort in it.'' she said, tilting her head, as she turned on her heels, and stuck her face a few inches from the male's own : letting him see in full capacity those green eyes of hers, and the gleaming fangs. Kokiri were known for being vegetarian : so their canines were rather flat and not elongated. However, one look at this girl told a different story : those canines were sharp, as if used to eating tough and raw meat. The girl tilted her head, looking at the young child before her, her hands helping her to keep balance of herself.
''Still didn't answer why you were here, methinks.'' said the girl in a soft whisper, those green eyes of hers glittering like a wild instinct, as she felt her magic ready to surge at her command, like a wild flame. But it wasn't a flame, it was twisted life, and the need to eat, as she looked at him very closely. ''I'm hungry too.'' she said, stating almost a fact, staring with that gaze of hers, feeling the vibrations in her very self, almost like a need to eat now. But she didn't really want to eat this poor guy, but she just might.. if she was ported to do so in the first place. But who knew for sure. After all, she was unpredictable, even to herself.

"I never found cities very comfortable either. That's what I like about them~" Alistair found the hustle and bustle of Castle Town peaceful in it's own way; plenty of people to talk to and plenty of things to pass the time. Once again he was faced with the girl's sharp teeth.
He stood up and stretched for a moment. "I'm here, well... I'm here because it's between where I'm coming from and where I want to be." He laughed. "That is what these crossroads are for, after all."
"I'm hungry too."
"Well, if you do decide to take the walk there, Castle Town has quite a few places that serve really nice food." He responded.

~ ~ Je noie mon EnnuiDans la MélomanieHe seemed a fountain of information, as the girl moved closer, now touching his cheeks, with her fingers, curiously staring at him very deeply. She stayed quiet after his answers, simply holding his face in between her hands, as she waited, an almost strange look in her eyes. Leaning over to his ear, her lips brushed slightly, as she let out a sort of chuckle. ''But I'm hungry now, and company is always nice.'' she purred slightly, sounding childishly innocent in her suggestion, as she pulled away, those green eyes swirling with a desire, a want. She was hungry, and if he deigned not to feed her, then he would feed her. It was a simple equation, and in her own way, Ziva was warning him : after all, his body might rot so far away from her home where she could find a spot in her tree to place him in. It was debating the final decisions : but only this male could decide where this went next, her nose almost touching his now, as she resumed her very personally close position, almost eager for the next part.
Oh she was so eager for it.

Alistair tensed up at the first sign of physical contact. Something about this girl just isn't right... He breathed slowly, trying to calm down; honestly, he was a little frightened now. He pulled away, getting down on one knee. He put on a show, fumbling around his pockets and the pouches in his belt, looking for something.
"I'm terribly sorry, but I don't appear to have any food on me at the moment." He said awkwardly, still in a crouched position. "I could accompany you to Castle Town and buy some for you though, if that's what you would like." He talked slowly, and in the pit of his stomach, he knew that's not what the girl meant.

~ ~ Je noie mon EnnuiDans la MélomanieThe male pulled away : but Ziva had read the fear in his eyes. Good, that meant he knew, but didn't : that was pleasantly alright with her, as she finally grinned now, showing him the row of sharp teeth. Immediately, if he had figured out what she was, he would be afraid, wouldn't he? ''It's okay, like I said, company is better. I'm not used to stone trees and stuff. Isn't there anywhere else where it isn't as rock and lifeless?'' the girl said, tilting her head again. She was going to get more information out of him, either he liked it or not : in the end, it was the same sort of deal, the same situation. There was an almost darkness now, a thick tension : she clearly did not want to go to a crowded town just yet. Perhaps he would understand that : maybe not. But Ziva's hunger was growing, and by the second, the boy before her seemed more and more edible. ''I mean, what's on the inside is what's best, right?'' she commented, not really making sense to the situation. But it was suitably unsettling : Ziva wanted to see how much he could take the fear.
She had this bad habit of playing with her food.

Moment by moment Alistair could feel the tension rising. He knew something was wrong, but he just couldn't act on it. For all he knew, the Kokiri in front of him could be the oldest, most malicious being in all of Hyrule; but all he saw when he looked at her was the face of a child, and a little girl at that. None the less, defending himself was something he could do no matter who, or what, attacked him, so he stayed knelt down, slowly inching his hand towards his boot. He carefully listened to what the girl was saying.
"Well, there's Kakariko village. It's not as crowded, but there is't much wildlife either. If you want something with more foliage, you should try Ordon." His words were spoken slowly and calmly. He wasn't exactly scared, no, he was merely cautious. This situation started to seem like one he might have been better off avoiding, but there was no turning back now. Well... he could always turn and sprint back to Castle town, but what fun would that be?
