twilit chasms Upon their arrival in the canyon, the trio of Twili would find themselves faced with extreme winds; evidently, even the start of their quest would not be easy. The Sols floated about as they normally would, the twilight particles laughing in the face of the winds. The canyon itself was a gruesome sight; keese fluttering about, small pieces of flesh dropping from the long bones of the Twili, spiders skittering into the cracks and holes of the grin-shaped chasm. For the most part, though, it was the calm before the storm; there were no threatening creatures about, almost as if they were waiting for the perfect moment to strike. participants! erebos, nixes. status! the winds are high, perhaps 70 mph. the monsters of the canyon are calm. notes! this will be relatively fast-paced, or so i'm hoping; as such, i'll have a post in every two days at the minimum. i'd appreciate it if y'all tried to do the same! each member may post once between each of my posts, and there is no posting order. basically, post once a round, when you can.

Erebos lifted his shallow, depth forsaken eyes of darkness and gazed around the embracing shallow canyon of abhorrence. He was not here to enjoy himself, but to carry out the biding of honor and duty. The Twili Guard stood at his typical height of 7 feet, his tall, lean figure hanging over the deep crevices that cascaded into an unseeing abyss of danger and fright. He had already descended to a lower elevation, hiding himself in the canyon from the fierce rippling winds above. Even in the Solitary of the canyon though, they had a noticeable speed, no doubt.

Nixes took no hurry for shelter, oddly enjoying the high wind he was forced to march through. As long as he found cover before any additive obstacles didn’t interfere, it was quite invigorating. Still he knew these winds would not be is only trouble today, as he gracefully slid into the canyons cervices, not showing any fear. After all, were he to lose his footing he had a handful of fails safes at his disposal, the claws from his scarf, his shadow beast’s more elegant footing, the scythe that dwelled within his very shadow. Such things left him with a since of confidence, which was useful, appearances are important when you’re the Twilight Assassin.
On that note he had caught up to Erebos. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of the man. He certainly had a somewhat unusual appearance, but Nixes didn’t really pay that much mind. What really made him unsure was his position. He was a Messenger, one of his soldiers, but he had been a messenger far longer than Nixes had been the Assassin. He tried his best to be respectful, unsure of the dynamic he was meant to state. On the one hand in technical terms he was Erebos’ commander, but on the other hand Erebos was also his senior in age and time served, He hoped that there lack of working together would not hinder in the mission. After all, the two of them, along with the advisor were representing lady Midna, and there people as a whole.

twilit chasms Confidence would not help either Twili in the unforgiving canyon; even as the wind whipped above their heads, there was a slight rumbling in the ground of the chasm. It wasn't strong enough to knock the duo off their feet, but it was a certain warning of the dangers of the natural world around them. More immediate, though, were the dangers lurking in the shadows; a trio of Twilit Keese had emerged from the corners of the canyon and were fluttering about the heads of the Twili, swooping down every few seconds to claw or nip at any unguarded areas. participants! erebos, nixes. status! the winds are high, perhaps 70 mph. there was a slight earthquake that quickly faded; however, the disturbance caused three Twilit Keese to fly out and attack Erebos and Nixes. notes! after talking with Akira, it has been decided that she will not take part in this quest. if anyone wishes to take her place, please PM me; until then, i'll tailor the quest to make it fit just the two fighters. keese a! perfect health keese b! perfect health keese c! perfect health

Erebos nodded to Nixes, approving of his commanders arrival. "Glad you could make it Nixes. Your assistence will prove invaluable." As the three Keese's encircled them from above, the Twili Guard drew his Claymore and braced himself for any attacks thrown his way. He was not content with being struck down this early, and prepared for an attack from the Twili Creatures.

The Twili took an offensive stance, reaching his hand behind his back as a large pole rose from his shadow. Grasping it caused the darkness to evaporate and his scythe to take full form. As the Twilit Keese started to flutter and get more offensively, his scarf sprung to life, clawing at the Keese to keep them at bay, not wanting to spend much time on such lowly enemies. During one of their rounds, as they flew away to circle once more, Nixes gave a hefty throw, hurling his scythe at the flock, taking a bit of a chance, but he had little to lose from such a gambit, so why not?
"A pleasure to work with you! We'll strike these creatures down post haste."

twilit chasms The keese screeched in displeasure as the claws of the commander's scarf swiped at them, and the trio reeled back in indignation. The first one, though, was somewhat more aggravated than the other two, and swooped down to claw at Twili flesh. It wasn't the smartest of creatures, though, and instead of going for Nixes as per its intentions, its attack was aimed right towards Erebos' face. The remaining two keese were startled by the sudden approach of the scythe, and each had one wing damaged. Even with their flight hampered so, the duo both dropped like stones towards Nixes, claws outstretched to swipe at his chest. participants! erebos, nixes. status! the winds are high, perhaps 70 mph. the three keese began their assault proper, one clawing at Erebos' head and the other two clawing at Nixes' chest. notes! not much to say here. keese a! perfect health, attacking erebos. keese b! okay health, attacking nixes. keese c! okay health, attacking nixes.

Erebos watched as the Keese fluttered down at him, aiming directly for his face. Dropping his knee's slightly, he simply raised his claymore directly at the Keese, the point of the blade aimed straight for the chest. His weaponry completely guarded his face, and he planned on the Keese running itself directly into the blade as it had gained so much velocity.
He kept his eyes fixated on the enemy, prepared to drop and leap back at a moments notice. Nixes had two of them coming down at him, and would probably need a little assistence to move this on quickly.

Nixes grinned a bit at the beasts he had damaged, his scythe clanged into a stone wall. A small bit of blood dripping from the weapons blade. As the two enraged beast barreled toward him he reached into his opposite sleeve with his right hand and hurled a small throwing knife at each of them with haste. Unsure of the results that would yield, he summoned his scythe back to him, the mystic weapon vanishing into twilight particles and back into his grasp as he took a defensive stance, bracing himself for injury.
