Normally she be traveling this far with Merik off doing his crazy stunts or off drinking at a local bar. Ok He was at a Local bar drinking and he might not come out until the next day with a bad hang over. So since she was here in town she figure she finally get something to wear that wow Merik or might get some thought of a dance. However since Hyrule don't like Gerudo to much she still had to wear her cloak over her over her from head to toe. Even more she say in the alley way listening to people as they walked by. However as she listen she can't help but hear how the people walked and talk almost sounded like music to her. It was nothing cool or powerful sounding like she heard from the desert temple before but still it sounded fun. She turn and headed down the ally as she found some stairs and went up them as she got up higher to see everything. There was no one up here as she stood over a riling looking down at the town's people as they walked and talked. She even saw children playing in the street with dog who was chasing a chicken. It was a peaceful and full of energy place as she saw many different races here. One was selling Hot springs water and other milks from their ranch. As she watch the day turn in to night and people started to close up and the people left. The sounds she heard before seem to change in a ghostly sound now. She stood up a bit and yawns as her hood fell off her head as she stretched a bit. She looked at the sky then blinks as she sighed. She got so in to people watching she forgot to check out the shops to see if there was an sexy outfit for her. She rub her neck as she sat on the railing looking to the sky. Her cloak was open now since not many people come out at night and she was not to worried about the guards. She tap her foot a bit as she listen to the sounds around her as she tried to figure out what to do. She missed her chance and she did not want to go to the bar to see what dumb stunt Merik might be doing.

During the day, Annabel had kept her distance from the town. She had never been inside but she did not want to scare those who were going about their daily lives with her curiosity. Perhaps as time went by and she became more jaded to the stares and the pointing then she may become more comfortable going out among the people but for now it was too much for her.
It had been less than a week since she had left her home by the sea. Seeing her family in so much distress over her passing had been too much for her, let alone the fact that she could no longer feel her lover's touch or even grant him a kiss. She had found nothing but sorrow there, sorrow and loss, and as such had decided that she would set out for new sights.
The world was an intimidating place for her, so vast and wide, and it seemed to her the most logical first stop would be the castle town. It was a hub of activity and if there were any other place to find people, perhaps even people she could interact with, it would be here. But on getting to the gates she had become too frightened to approach during the day when her deceased status was most apparent.
But now that the sun was down she was free to wander with little evidence to what she was. She wore nothing but a black dress that came just a little below her knees. Her feet were bare and she wore no jewelry or protective gear. As she walked through the streets she began to sing an old folk song she had heard a sailor singing once. It was a song of adventure and life on the high seas. Having grown up near a port town, she had heard many such songs.

Kotone sat there listening to the night air until she heard someone singing. She got off the railing and looked around for that song. Well more like the person singing it. She soon saw a figure coming from the darkness of the street. Her hood came back up and her cloak around her once more as she watched. It was a lady all in a black dress with long black hair and nothing else. She wore no shoes or has no jewels on her. However the song was coming form her as she was singing it. It remind her of traveling out on the sea with Merik and the other pirates. She pulled out her old flute as she started to play along with the song. She sat on the railing as she tried to match with the tone and words of her song. She missed a couple of notes however she was learning it fast by just playing it by ear. The song was really up beat even with the night being so still and quite all around. It was almost seem to be a ghostly night one that make someoen shiver even with the sea song playing.

A small, slow grin spread over her face as she finished the slow, sad song and began to let her imagination get the better of her. In her mind she could see the pub down the way full of drunken sailors singing their songs. Although her mother prohibited her from going there, it was not uncommon for her father to allow her to accompany her or for her and her lover to sneak away to the pub late at night.
Her voice picked up and she began to dance a little as she sang the next song, lost in a memory and seeming to see the ghosts of those she lost around her.
The smartest clipper you can find is, Ho eh, ho ah, are you most done? Shes the Margaret Evans on a blue sky line! Clear away the track and let the bulgine run.
To my aye rig a jig in a junting gun, Ho eh, ho ah, are you most done? With Eliza Lee all on my knee, Clear away the track and let the bulgine run.
She stopped in her tracks as she looked up and took notice of the woman standing on the rooftop above her and let out a little 'eep' before dashing into a nearby alleyway before slowly peaking back out again. If one did not know any better they might think that she'd seen a ghost.
"H-hello." Annabel let out a nervous chuckle and raised a hand up to the Gerudo woman who had been playing her flute. If anybody had been close enough to see, they might notice tears standing out in her eyes. Oh how she missed those nights. But she would find a new pub, she would find new sailors and this time she would be able to join in their songs and she would be happy. "I hope I was not disturbing you."

Kotone kept playing as she went from one song in to another one. She started to dance as Kotone kept playing as the music was good. It brings thing out of people. There different song or music that are magical. She found one but there more out there. However as she watched the lady it almost seem like other people should be dancing with her. The song was sad because of this seem to bring out something. This song came from the heart of this women as she could feel it letting her voice out in the still quite night. Thought it did not seem like a quite night to Kotone anymore as it seem to be a party in her head well until she head a 'epp' sound. Everything seem to stop and the still cold night seem to return and the lady who was singing seem to disappeared only to see her hiding in an ally. the lady had seen her and hide away only to peak out. She had stop playing as she laughed hard as her hood came off her head as her bright red hair is seen. However no sound came from her as she was laughing but you can't hear the laughter. Gerudo known for their red blood like hair and tan skin with piercing golden eyes. Kotone lips moved as she waved back to the lady but no sound came out. She got up on the railing balancing now then facing the women. She she waved her hand on her chest as he lips moved wanting the lady to sing again. She pulled out her old flute once more and started to play that song back to the lady. The song she sang before it stop. She started to walk up and down the railing giving her own desert dance as she play. Then she did a twist and jump off the raining in to the air as her cloak flew out like wings. She land as the hood was back on her her head as the cloak back around her. She still play the song as she up walk/small dance now like a ghost becking the lady to sing again. Kotone like this lady's voice as there no many that can sing that well. Even more not many people else day sing songs or a melody. Kotone had an ear for music as she could almost hear songs from people but mostly from areas. Either from her home or this town has it own song it just people don't stop to listen.

Annabel remained motionless as she listened to Kotone begin to play the song once more. She had never heard it played on an instrument before and she had to admit that the girl could play. As her lips parted and she prepared to start singing again, Kotone came flying down like a great bat and it was all she could do to keep from running.
It was strange that she should be so easily frightened. After death there was very little left that could hurt her but there were habits that died hard and one of those was assuming that people could hurt you. It took some self reminding that she would not be out here so late at night if that were the case before she calmed down and gave a small curtsy to the woman in front of her.
With the flute playing on she slowly warmed back up to singing. Her voice quivered at first as she fought to steady her nerves but eventually it grew stronger and more confident. It did not reach the same intensity as it had the first time when she had become lost in the words but she got along well enough.
Toward the last couple of verses Annabel even began to dance once more. It was a twirling, sort of dance that might have seemed carefree if it were not for the tears that had started to emerge again. They made her eyes glisten in the moonlight but they never built up enough to fall, as though those small droplets of water that caught her lashes were all that she had left to produce.

The lady was very scared as she did not seem to be very lively. Was it her song was she not playing it? She really hope the song was one of those magical songs or something. As she felt so much energy from it before. She surely thought it was one of those songs. However it looks like it was not but just a song this person knew. The lady started to warm up and sing more however not like before. It still still did not have same feel. Even with her starting to dance at the last. She started to slow down her music as it came to the last then stop. She pulled her flute away and looked at it for a moment then sighed. The lady was wonderful she had tears in her eyes making the moonlight shine in them and sparkle. It was a nice song but it was not the one Kotone was looking for. She looked back at the lady and bow to her as she turn away. She started to play her flute a song more up beat. It was the song she feel like the desert in t gerudo valley makes. It was more a running music then anything since she never want to spend to much time there or the monster or sun still get to ya. Kotone went back threw the ally making her way up the stairs and back on the over bright above the street as she sit on the railing playing the song.

(I'm sorry I took so long to post. My exam schedule got the best of me for a while there.)
Annabel gave a small, sad smile and bowed once as she watched Kotone begin to walk away. She kept her eyes on the Gerudo woman for several seconds before turning and starting to make her way through the town. It was not until she had taken about five steps that the realization hit her.
She was not sad because she was dead. She was not tearful because she could no longer touch another, although that still was something that caused her great sadness. But more than that, above all else, she was sad because she was alone. Annabel had never been alone before and for the first time in her life she was starting to feel what it was to be lonely. It was like an emptiness in her chest that squeezed her tight whenever she thought of those left behind.
Annabel hardly had time to process this realization before she turned back around and started running toward Kotone, bare feet silent against the hard ground. It took her some time to find the rooftop that she had gone to but once she did she approached the woman slowly.
"Hello." Her voice was soft and quiet though it seemed almost as though the breeze carried it to where it needed to be. "My...My name is Annabel. What's yours?" She hesitated just for a moment when introducing herself, afraid that she might be rejected or, even worse, ignored by Kotone.

Kotone had watch the lady walk the other way as she went on playing. She looked at the sky and all as it was a lovely quite night even with the noise going on. However to her surprise the lady came up the railing bridge like her. She stop playing her flute as she set it next to her as she looked at her funny. What did the women want from her as she never had someone come back to her like this. The lady seem to ran back to her as she seem she was wondering her name? She did not understand but she simple lip her name. 'Kotone' However she wonder if the lady knew how to read lips as it was dark after all. It be hard to see her lips not only at night but under her cloak she was wearing. However there was no way she can air spell it as she did not think the person knew sand script. Kotone know how to read other thing then sand script but she did not know how to write them or they turn out bad looking. So she simply did not write them at all. However her golden eyes stare at the lady. The more she stare the more she saw her almost as a ghost figure she did not know why. This lady was not threat that for sure but there something about her that Kotone could not put her finger on.

She smiled a small smile that seemed to fade almost as soon as it had appeared and looked down toward the streets. Annabel had been able to get a rough idea of Kotone's name from the lip reading and had she not had to contest with the fact that it was nighttime and she was wearing a hood then she would have been able to understand it.
The smile reappeared now though it had a bittersweet quality to it. "In the light I would be able to read your lips. Leander and I were sometimes separated in conversations, even if we were in the same room. We learned to read lips so that we might still communicate with each other." Annabel took a seat next to Kotone.
"I hope you do not mind me joining you here. I've just been so lonely since I left home." She let out a sigh and rested her hands in her lap. "I miss them terribly but I promised myself to stay away."
It had been less than two months since she had died. She tried to stay close but she only seemed to cause grief to those around her. Her being there reminded her parents, reminded Leander, that she was no longer truly there. She had left to give them closure and if it were not for the knowledge that going back would only hurt them she would have gone back almost as soon as she'd left.

Kotone blinks as she rub the back of her head/hood as she nods to her as she was sorry about that. However she really did not want to take off her cloak or hood due to the guard and this town. People really don't like gerudo people at all. They blame everything on them so most of the time they do what they been blame for. Merik tried to have peace but the princess of this land seem to stand by and did nothing. She felt war might be coming soon. She looked at the lady as she said she left home to months ago as she sat by her. She looked at her funny as she touch her hand and looked at her with her golden eyes. She looked at her with a why look on her darken face. She was wondering the reason why. She would never leave the fortress for that long with her family. It was something unheard of in the gerudo tribe.

Annabel felt something in her chest when Kotone seemed to want her to continue her story. It was comforting to know that there were still people that she could talk to and eventually perhaps even become friends with even this far away from her seaside home. She looked down toward the street and contemplated her words carefully. Annabel hoped that she would not scare Kotone away with the truth.
"I left because I was a burden. I was a cause of despair and misery and a reminder of loss. I could no longer bare to see the sadness in their eyes whenever I saw them." She pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on them.
Her eyes trailed over to Kotone and she turned her head so that her temple met with her knee. "And Leander...he was so heartbroken." Her voice had grown hushed; it gained a layer of sorrow that it had not held until now. It was the sound of love that had been wrenched away by the forces of fate. "We could no longer feel each others touch, we could not hold hands or offer a hug for comfort...nothing. You do not always realize how important those things are until you do not have them."
She closed her eyes and rested her forehead on her knees. "Whenever I am home my death hangs over them like a raincloud that will not dissipate. It is better for them that I keep my distance."
