A cloak figure sits on the edge of a large cliff that leads to the desert. The cloak figure was looking at the lake as the light shimmer cross it and as she watch people cross the bridge below. Of course the area was full of life with people and balloons? It was odd to see color like that but it seem to be some kind of shop or even going on. The Desert did not have this much color or water in one area. The Cloak figure smile knowing full well this was the home of the Zora as up the river is where their queen lives. The cloak figure was Kotone as she did not leave the desert with out Merik. She really did not ravel far from him as she was his bodyguard. However today she travel to the edge of the desert to look and mostly listen to the lake to hear it song. She can barely hear it as it seem the water drown out it song. Or maybe that was the song of this place? She really could not tell but she wanted to know as she loves music and the songs. She goes and pull out her flute trying to play the music or sounds she is hearing of course getting it wrong. She was to far away to hear the real song in the lake. She had no idea there is a temple under the water she thought it was the land itself making the sounds. It was all very peaceful and well relaxing even trying to copy the music or sounds she was at peace. The sounds of the water running and the soft foot steps of people it was all lovely music. However there was a bit of chaos in the peacefulness with the silly balloons and... is that a chicken? Kotone had to stop playing as she see someone jumping off with a chicken gliding down popping balloons as they glide down to the colorful shop. Her mouth moved but no sound came out. She was mute after all but if she could talk she would say 'What the Hell?'

Flying above Lake Hylia always helped me clear my head whenever I had things on my mind. After all the rumors I'd heard about being kicked off of Merik's crew, I felt inclined to ask someone, or punch someone in the face, but up here, in the skies above the Lake, I didn't have to worry, because here, I've always felt at peace.
I have always wondered as to why these silly people use Cuckoos to pop those balloons, but I'd decided long ago I wasn't going to ask, as someone grabbed onto my waist while I was taking off and I fell into the water below... Not a pleasant memory...
Whenever I see a new face around my "breathing place", I greet them, but this time it seems that it is a woman just on the outskirts of the Desert.
I fly down to greet her, folding my wings into my back and removing my helmet as I land, and yet when I try to introduce myself, I see her eyes and am so captivated by their beauty that I can't even speak, I just move my lips as I try to ask her for her name, as well as tell her mine, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to find my voice.
I decide to try to communicate with her by other means, and decide to bow and smile to try to imply that I'm not hostile, then I stand waiting to see if I might be able to get a reply from this charming woman.

Kotone was taken back for a moment of a flying person but then rethought to herself. It was one of those bird people. What were they called again? Cookoo? Cooccoo?... Ooccoo that it. Odd name but they have hollow bones so they are very weak people compare to Gerudo. If she remember right Merik once had one on his crew but something happen and he was kicked off. She never really got to meet the crew to much as she was always busy seeing and mapping things below the deck or off exploring some other place. Oddly Merik kept her away from his crew for some odd reason. Of course she know the reason now but then she did not. Her golden eyes looked at him as he took off his helmet and looked at her but she looked away soon after. He was trying to flirt with her and she did not care for that. Even if he only saw her eyes it did not matter to her. She did keep guard as she sat there just in case he did something. However just ignoring so far and he was doing nothing to her. At this point she took her old flute out once more and started to try to play the song or the sounds she was hearing once more. Trying make the sounds of the water in to music and the foot steps in to notes as she play. It sounded wonderful however it was not the song she wanted to hear. There was still something missing and she did not know what as she did not live in the water like Zora.

I sit down and listen intently as the woman plays.
I think to myself: Why is she here of all places, and what is she doing just outside the Desert?
I look down into the water below and run my fingers through my hair as I look back towards the sky.
Oh well, she's here for a reason.
I can't help but smile after she turned away. I guess having a human face with pointy ears while having a chest of crimson stones and white and red wings kind of bothered her, just as it bothers just about everyone else, since not many people care for Hybrids like me. I curl my long, unkempt crimson rock fiber hair as I think of what I should say to apologize for being so rude to her. Then I stroke my pointy ears and figure out a way I may be able to apologize. If I don't see the beautiful woman, maybe I can talk to her easily enough, so I turn around and sit facing away from her.
I find that my guess was true as I am now able to speak. I'm sorry if I offended you, I'm just not used to beautiful women yet, so I ended up reflexively flirting. I'm sorry about that, it's my defense mechanism when I see a beautiful woman's face, or even a part of one. I'm sorry for being so rude, my name is Caramon, it's a pleasure to meet you miss.
I take off my right gauntlet, reach back and offer my hand, but then I actually think about it and decide it may not be a good idea, as it may just make her think I'm some kind of jerk just trying to hit on her on purpose...
Oh, what to do, what to do...?
I decide to go ahead and offer my hand anyway, as I think it would be the gentlemanly way to do this. So I sit there, waiting to see what she does in response to my current "stupidity".

The guy was still here and he was still talking to her. It was getting very hard to hear the sounds of the lake now. She was starting to mess up more and more on her notes as it just did not sound like the lake anymore. No it was turning in to the sounds of this make in to music. She stop playing as she let out a long sigh as she open her mouth but no sound came out. Then she heard his name as her hand grab her long arm dagger from her her cloak as shew wiped it out pointed it at his heck. She was on her feet fast as her hood came down and her red hair and face show now. She looked down at his hand in disgusted as now this was the guy who was kicked out of the pirates. Her lips started to move however there was no voice to him. If the guy could lip read she be saying 'You hurt my Kaska (Male cousin in Gerudo) and now you dare to hit on his Éša (sister)' She did not care if he could or could not read lip as she was not going to put down her weapon so she can tell him with her hands. No she was not dumb as she could easily kill this hollow bone guy in a snap.

I glance at the blade, then at the woman as my eyes darken. I think to myself: Ah, that explains it... A mute Gerudo.
She must think I actually did something to my ex-Captain, and that I was intentionally trying to hit on her. I sigh, then look her in the eye and smile.
You know, I think it's mighty funny to find a Gerudo this far from the Ship or the Desert. I bet you'd enjoy killing me or inflicting pain upon me, and I know you aren't willing to listen to me, but I'd advise against you trying to use that dagger on me, as these things on my back aren't just for show. I don't want to hurt you, please put the knife away. I don't doubt your combat skills, I just have a moral about not hitting or hurting women, so I'd like to avoid conflict with you as much as possible, I only wanted to talk and to hear you play. I'm sorry that I interrupted your music, is there some way I could help with that? And I know you can't vocally answer me, so I'll set my weapons down as a sign of good faith, as well as my armor, and hand them into your care for the rime being, does that sound fair?
After saying this, I remove my breastplate to reveal my crimson stone torso, then I take off my boots, my greaves, then my gauntlets, and set them in a pile in front of the woman.

Kotone did not find it funny as Gerudo women are good women who can hide anywhere with out being spotted until it to late. Even when spotted they normally kill the person so there no record of them being there anyhow. Her eyes glare at him for calling her pole arm a dagger like it was a not a good weapon at all. She shove her pole arm dagger close to his neck as he spoke more. It was funny a guy who did not fight women now that was laughable. The guy started to take off his armor and saying he was no threat. She pull back her pole arm as she looked at him as he was dumb. She looked at him then the pile of his junk in front of her. She was not at all impress. However she did what she would normal do and that was this. She goes and knock all his stuff all his armor and weapons off with her pole staff off cliff of the desert in to the lake below. She turn back to him and walked to him close so he can see her face more clearly. Her lips moved and it clearly seen what she was trying say. 'You are dumb' and with that she flicked his forehead with her fingers. She turn back around and sat back on the cliff edge looking out on to the lake. For someone to take off their armor and weapons like that and to someone who is your ex-boss cousin. Yeah that was a very dumb thing to do as it was saying please hit me or stab me or heck dumb my stuff over the cliff please. I'm begging for it or something like that. You don't ever let your guard down in the Gerudo race but it seem they do in others.

I smile as she knocks my stuff off the cliff, and whisper, so that she can't hear me.
Blaze, transform, get your brother, then both of you get my things out of the water, and come to me when I call for you.
I change my facial expression to that of horror as she turns back to me and flicks me.
Well, that's just Prime... At least now you can see that I'm not a threat. You may think that my doing this is out of stupidity, yet I just wanted to talk, as I haven't heard a thing as to what happened with Merik, and after seeing your face, I thought it might be best to ask you what happened, as I'm not even sure what caused you to "attack" me after I told you my name.
From what you "said' you must be of close relation to Merik, so I was wondering why I had heard news of my being kicked out of the pirates while I was away on a mission for one of my fellows. Have you heard anything about it? Because I don't know what I did to anger the Captain so as for him to take me off his roster. But I suppose it may be for the best, as I had said a few things in a bar once, so they probably started rumors based on what I'd said, then the Captain got wind of it and kicked me out. Luckily, I was wanting to leave the pirates soon anyway, as I didn't entirely agree with their methods...
As I may not have served a great term, I still believe I was able to help out some of the crew in some ways. I just hope the others can forgive me for whatever happened, as whatever it had been was not meant to hurt anyone.
I know you must tire of hearing my voice, so I'll finish this quickly: I would like for you to deliver a letter to Merik for me telling him of where a treasure I discovered is hidden, as I would like to have it given to the crew as penance for whatever I did to anger him so. I have all I need in that armor and on my person, so I won't be needing any more treasure on my journey.
I stand up and hand her the letter, then I sit back down and wait patiently, as I talked a lot and I want to give her time to let it all sink in, and to think of a plan if she decides to try to kill me.

She could read lips as she knew what he was saying and what a pain this guy was. Playing her like she dumb with that act. She was Merik's bodyguard and cousin. She was no fool to magic nor spells thought she use no magic at all. No that was her other cousins not her. Then he kept talking on and on about something not being a pirate or something along those lines. Kotone really stop listening to him as she was trying hard to listen to the music of the lake. It left like forever when he stop talking and hand her a letter. She looked at it then after a min or so she rip it up and blew it in to the lake too. Merik does not care for letters... as Kotone still trying to figure out who sending Merik letters in a bottle. Then take care of the person when found. She sat there as she closed her eyes and listen. No the music was gone now as it seem to be something different. It was a waving like music now. It sounded like the music area then what was in the lake. It was still music you can relax on but the music was now gone from what she first heard and she doubt she hear it again.

I sit and watch as she tears up my letter and am glad I'd already sent another on a raft in a small metal box, yet I doubt it'll reach its intended destination.
Seeing as the woman had been ignoring me for most of my explanation anyway, I shut up to understand what she was so interested in to not accept my explanation for my actions and I hear the faint melody from below the water . I'd wondered what she was trying to listen to that whole time, and I finally understand, but now she seems to be angrier than she was earlier based on her current facial expression.
I decide to make it up to her, as it seems that she was trying to listen to something and I was so rude to pester her while she must have been trying to enjoy the music from earlier.
I sigh to myself and decide I might as well try to do something to make it up to her instead of just thinking of ways to do it.
I guess that's another reason why you're so agitated with me... I'll be right back, so don't worry about me escaping.
I fly down, put on all of my armor, hover over the water's surface, hide my wings, and plunge into the Lake. A short time later, I climb out, remove my armor, set it down with my other things, unfurl my wings, and fly back to the cliff.
I'm sorry I took so long. I asked them to play that last one again, as the people on the cliffs weren't able to hear it properly, so they couldn't enjoy it as much as they'd wished to. I'm going to shut up now and let you listen to what this beautiful melody truly sounds like.
Not long after saying this, the music that was playing earlier is playing once again, this time much louder and with more feeling to it so that all in or near the Lake can hear it. As the music plays, I walk a ways away from the woman to leave her be, just in case she wants to kill me for making the the music too loud. I lay down and listen to the melody as it flows through the air, silently following its rhythm.
