~ ~ I want to leave but I wanna stayI know it's wrong but I know it's rightThe meadow was as dead as always. The road, the least traveled and the most cautioned to avoid, led from the marshes into lush green forest. But it was said that travellers disappeared around the old, gnarled tree : it had once been large and great. But now, all that remained was that feeling of death, and yet not death : a life stilled in a state of permanent decay. This area held a near malicious aura : it was like the meadow was the last stop for lost Kokiri children. A few had ended up here : due to the mapping areas resembling the Lost Woods in the sheer quality of it losing them, and keeping the children until their source ran out. Several people, that managed to survive it, sighted a green haired child : they were almost always escorted by her, and often were shaken. For all she asked for was strange tales : and in the end, that dangerous aura leaked around her too. In fact, that child lived in these woods : to that very same gnarled tree at the center of the border. Life was stirring, as the swish of green was seen amongst yellow leaves. Bare feet hit the ground, as the child figure looked around, almost curiously. Something or another whispered : the plants seemed to be agitated, so did the animals, and the Kokiri predator was curious.
After all, changes barely happened, but it seemed, as of late, a lot was happening. Namely that Fairy Queen that wandered into her territory : and more travelers seemed to come to the woods. The animals were scarce, almost as if dreading something. The plants were restless, and more so, she was too. Excitement ran through her veins, as the plant like green things behind her wavered. At the first sound of a footstep, the girl was back up in the tree, observing oh so carefully with those glowing green eyes, wondering who had ended up on her doorstep today.

Thoughts weigh heavy on her mind-- In some ironic twist of events, her death is killing me as well! -- as she wanders into the sacred grove... The petite blonde didn't even care if she was lost anymore. She was sure she had wandered through these parts, and if she gave it enough effort, she would probably realize that she did know where she was. Come to think of it, it looked familiar. But for some reason it didn't trigger any visual memories in her mindset but rather, auditory ones.
Titania, her internal monologue said. Yes, that was it. The fairy queen herself had described this very place during their encounter. It was a peaceful place, but that feeling was accompanied by something rather eerie as well. Almost like how a place of worship and gathered congregation always had that unsettling feeling looming over it-- as if you are constantly being watched by unknown eyes.
Slaughter's father had taught her how to build a fire from scratch, maybe she should just light this pretty little place on fire. She surely didn't think she'd mind watching it burn.
Slaughter sighed and shrugged off the malicious thoughts as she removed a golden pocket watch from a tattered satchel affixed to her hip. She gazed at it longingly, something building inside of her-- a rare feeling she was sure she had never felt before. It was the strangest amalgamation of sadness and happiness. Her memory was fuzzy in regards to the last few days, and unaware that anybody was watching her, Slaughter wiped her tear stained cheeks, and she gingerly pressed down on the golden pocket watch, making it spring open.

As the golden pocket watch flung open as Slaughter disengaged the latch that held the two parts together, the sound of gears turning quietly could be heard building up from within the watch itself! The hands on the clock seemed as if they wanted to move, but they couldn't move at all; the grinding sound of metal, the tiniest essence of it, whirled from within the confines of that fabulous watch! Something was happening, something that couldn't be explained! What ever could it be!
Almost as if on cue, as if summoned by Slaughter herself, a tiny orb of light slowly pulls itself out of the surface of the watch like a droplet of water in reverse. The tiniest speck, yet so bright like the Sun itself, floated right in front of Slaughter! It didn't move for the longest it seemed, and just as one would wonder if it would move at all is when the light would slowly begin to orbit around Slaughter's head perfectly. No matter how the other female would crane her neck, or duck or twist her body, the light's orbit never changed in length or pull. Just what is the meaning of all of this!?

~ ~ I want to leave but I wanna stayI know it's wrong but I know it's rightThe girl's gaze was unblinking, as she stared at the blonde. That gaze was almost dangerous, as the green haired Kokiri was almost grinning at the fact that someone wandered into her home : the gnarled tree like the lord and the dead grass almost showing the white of bones, discarded to the earth. However, the light stopped any movement that the green haired girl was to make : an almost hiss from her lips.something was unusual here, definitely strange and new, and that put her on edge. But the girl just let out a fanged smile, before she slipped to the bottom of the tree : landing softly, the girl stayed in the shade, before laughing slightly. ''Well well, what sort of meat do we have wandering here today?'' asked the voice, cruel and eerie, as she stayed in the shade of the dead leaves, hidden apart from those glowing eyes and the green hair. Her skin was so dirty and matted with dirt, along with her smock, that no one could tell the difference. Or if they could, they had good eyes. At least to Ziva, as she tilted her head again, watching that little blonde girl and the ball of light.
''I mean really, you look like a little girl that wants to find herself in a wolf's maw : too sad of a life? I mean, I doubt you had any uses, wandering like that : humans are also so flawed and so dirty. Maybe the world will have a favor if I definitely send you to the winds. But you look weak : maybe I'll help the lost little lamb, hm?'' said the girl, her voice strange : almost choppy in places, but it still carried the right tone well, as she waited in that shade, cautious as her instincts were almost saying something was wrong : but she was more curious then that. After all, someone had wandered into her home. And she needed to know who they were : if only before devouring them. But who knew what life would bring, as her fangs flashed again, that grin on her face almost sadistic.. or hungry if one thought about it.

"This can't be--"
Slaughter barely had any time to wonder about the sudden appearance of the little light from the golden pocket watch she held in her hand; her attention was quickly shifted to the malicious voice coming from nearby.
She turned and looked at the creature, apparently female, sizing her up before a word came out of her mouth. This girl didn't look much bigger than she. What was that old saying again? About the pot calling the kettle black? Slaughter's irises began to oscillate from their normal cerulean hue to a profoundly red saturation.
"I'm not human," she practically hissed. The words stung the young hybrid; Slaughter was never one to be able to quite keep her emotions in check. "'Weak'. Would you like to test that theory?" she menaced, feeling that familiar swell of hormones flooding her circulation. Slaughter was slightly surprised-- she was the one used to picking fights, but if someone offered her one, she surely wasn't going to back down.
She knew that Hyrule and its surrounding areas could be dangerous, but this seemed more entertaining than perilous. "You might want to rethink that for your own safety--however, don't let me stop you. The sound of your bones cracking might be a nice break in this silence." Energy Stockpiled: 1

The light that circled around Slaughter's head slowly came to a stop just behind her skull, just off to the side enough for it to be seen by the green-haired child standing before Slaughter; if the other didn't know any better, she would swear that the light was almost looking at her in a way! Just what was this mysterious light that had pulled itself out of the essence of the watch!? The glow radiating from the orb varied here and there with the passage of time.
As the two engaged in their pissing contest, the light slowly turned from a dull yellow into a purple hue in perfect transition. The size of it would expand and retract, as if it were breathing the oxygen around it or possibly reacting to the stimuli of the environment. The watch in Slaughter's hands would be as still as it always was before that at that point, nothing else special radiating from within it's confines. Perhaps this orb is something left behind from the one that held onto it before! Could it be their evanescence? Some sort of weapon? Only time will tell!

~ ~ I want to leave but I wanna stayI know it's wrong but I know it's rightThe blonde girl seemed to turn to her, even as the light was staring at her. But Ziva's gaze was steady, as she flashed a smile at the light. Things didn't bother her : after all she heard the voices of animals and trees all the time. ''Not human? Really? That makes you a mite more acceptable already.'' the green haired girl said, stepping out of the shadows, her green hair moving slightly as she did so, those vivid eyes almost twinkling with something. As the other girl made threads, Ziva's hands spread. The dirt on her skin was still present, as that little smock covered her body, that fanged grin showing up again. ''Come on, threaten someone in their own home? Are you a little bit.. what's that word. Err. What is it? Arrogant? Stupid? Oh. Haughty. Yeah. But if you want to stay here, and get lost again, then be my guest : I have no interest in people that are.. like you.'' said the girl plainly, her voice blunt, as she shifted on her heel, green hair covering her face slightly.
The girl tilted her head next, before her head suddenly turned to the side : with a grin, the girl jumped, landing in front of a rabbit. With a sudden yank, it was in her hand, twitching as she crooned, wandering back to the tree : perhaps leaving her back open for an attack, should the other girl be such a little child. Ziva was more interested in the light then the little girl that didn't seem to be able to keep herself in check : even she a wild thing knew better then that. The girl just waited to see the girl's next reaction, to say the least : that was the only reason she didn't attack or even do more then her initial statement. After all.
An animal knew when to be fake.

Slaughter twitched slightly as her body began to shift in response to the detected threat, and she kept her eyes fixated on the strange new female that had appeared. Her mouth curled into a rather macabre looking snarl, as two knotted horns suddenly began to protrude and pierce through her skull. "What's wrong?" she asked, her voice sounding rather distorted, and more like a growl than a statement. "Running away like a dog with its tail between its legs?"
Slaughter abruptly cocked her head backwards and erupted in a string of cackles. "I'm glad to hear you've lost your interest-- you know, for your own sake. Cowards shouldn't make threats they don't intend to keep. One of their superiors may just decide one day to show them where they really stand." Her eyes returned to the green haired female, and did not leave their focal point again.
Slaughter could feel it amalgamating inside of her-- those feral instincts; her Ooccan blood taking control of her entire genome. She could feel the swirl of anger resonating inside her body like a bell that had just been struck. She ignored the girl's words about threatening a creature in their own home. She knew better than to trust anyone or anything; it was this girl who had threatened her first, and from here on out, Slaughter would be cautious, and on the defensive. Should the girl decide to try her luck, it would be her own undoing.
As she watched the girl retreat, she noticed her gaze deviate towards the golden watch she held in her hands. Slaughter immediately snapped it closed, and held it tightly with a steel grip. "What do you think you're looking at?"

The tension in the air could be cut with a knife at this point, especially with the aura building up from within Slaughter's changing form; if the orb of light could sigh loudly, it would be doing that right now at such a display of childish behavior from both of these people! Of course, that was all put into the back of her mind at the sudden display of the green-haired creature twisting around at an inhuman pace to catch an animal in a rather demonic sort of way. Of course, this one wasn't normal; who could say for sure what they were about to deal with? Something not right, and especially something that probably would have the home advantage this far into these creepy woods. Just what was Slaughter thinking coming down this way anyhow?
The purple orb of light moves forward then, around Slaughter's head once more in the same orbit it moved about earlier; only, this time, it moved at a lot quicker pace. It would appear as if it were about to launch in some sort of slow hyper drive! The orb of light would expand as if there were g-forces at work pulling what little weight it may have apart, stretching it and turning it larger than it previously was to begin with! It is quite obvious that a transformation is about to occur!

~ ~ I want to leave but I wanna stayI know it's wrong but I know it's rightThose fangs flashed again, as the girl gave a light giggle. ''Running? No no, you must have it wrong : I'm sparing you, hm?'' the girl said, as she ran her fingers lightly down the fur of the rabbit, as the girl seemed possessive of a watch. ''Are you blind? That thing is nothing : a bauble. I'd figure you'd be more concerned about that light around your head.'' said the green haired girl, as she shifted lightly, that feeling of danger still tickling the barest edges of her senses. It didn't matter : it was a break of habit, and it was exciting. Ziva had always liked the feeling of danger on her nerves, that tenseness that comes with a challenge. It was something that made her feel alive and good : it was something she sought sometimes, out of the need to break the sense of monotony that her life had begun to offer. Although, the horns growing and that change was a warning : she was facing something definitely dangerous, as her own body quivered, the back of her smock shifting.
The floating orb drew those green eyes, and with a snapping sound, the rabbit's neck was broken, as sharp nails dug into the rabbit flesh, blood flowing lightly. The girl's other hand briefly touched the trunk, before shifting again, throwing the rabbit's corpse up to a branch, her hands folded behind her. But under her smock, she drew the bone knives she made herself, as her back quivered slightly, her eyes observing, waiting. That alertness of instinct never goes away : no matter where, as the energy around her was unsettling Ziva. Her Oocca blood was resonating as well, as she curled her fingers around the handles of her knives. Placing them back, she slowly brought out the flute instead, those green eyes waiting, the shivers along her back still being hidden behind that air. They were only minor of course, but they would become stronger. Perhaps she could get ready to escape? But this was her home.
So damn whomever tried to fight in here.

Alter Ego(SunnySkies)'s Theme (No.1): //Bundy\\Slaughter's eyes slowly gravitated to the ball of light in orbit around her head. As if in synchrony, her roots became tinted a deep inky black, before spreading down each fiber on her head like wildfire.
She abruptly shot a hand out at the light, and tightly grabbed hold of the little light, her fist radiating a red light.
"I won't treat you nearly as well as she did," she hissed, exerting pressure on the light, crushing down and digging her fingernails deep inside of it.
Do you feel what I feel? Pain.
Slaughter peered down at it, her pupils appearing to have vanished completely, leaving nothing but a deep swirl of scarlet to look back into. All human traces, gone. "I won't hesitate to destroy anything that's left of your meaningless existence, Echo Faust. Count on it."
With that, she released the orb, hurling it down onto the ground with such force that it ricocheted off the surface. Consumed by her own lunacy, Slaughter took her time before returning her attention to the green haired female.
"There is nothing special about it. Just an empty shell of a being that spends its days waiting to burn out." Energy Stockpiled: 3
