On the surface, Saize is an easily to get along with book warm. Casual, friendly and always willing to put down his books and involve himself with others, it’s hard to hate him. He does have peculiar quirks, however, and does not seem to always follow the same strand of logic as most. Saize is studious and hardworking, having the mechanical punctuality of a machine. Highly intelligent and profoundly perceptive, Saize combines the efficiency of a machine with the intuition of a psychic. There is little that goes on around him that he doesn’t notice, whether he mentions or does anything about it is another matter. Saize carries himself with a composure that is comforting at first but eventually eerie and unsettling. Nothing elicits a genuine reaction from him. The entire Twilight kingdom could burn down and all you’d get would be an “Oh, that’s unfortunate,”.
What lies beneath the surface to the Twili known as Saize is…absolute emptiness. It is a void, an abyss, desolate of emotion and purpose. Utterly amoral, he could end a life as easily as he could save it. Saize lacks real emotion, he can feign it well enough but he finds himself in the odd position of simply not caring about anyone or anything – himself included. That’s not to say he has a death wish, if there is anything to him it’s that he realizes that living is probably more interesting than dying. Therein lies what scant emotion he has – lethargy. If any purpose exists, it is the desire to cure that. Saize seeks to find the same meaning in his life that others have.
APPEARANCE,
Picture I Picture II Irises a luminescent crimson that seems to see through the cracks into a person’s soul and the greying skin tone of the Twili, Saize is an eerie sight for any to behold. His long silver hair trails behind him, reaching well past his waist. Saize is sharp featured and carries with him a regal bearing. There is an aberrant air of grace and distance about Saize that belays his compassion, and the soft expressions his fine features are capable of.
Possessing a lean build, though only standing at a medium male height, Saize's muscle tone is still highly pronounced contrary to his scholarly origin. Although he changes clothes to fit a situation, his most frequent attire – the one he uses both in court and on the battlefield – is a uniform with a pleat in the front. The uniform is colored a murky army green with silver linings. A red sash is tied around his waist, bordering the line to a pair of black pants. He additionally wears surprisingly practical and easy to move in riding boots. When needing to be especially formal, Saize also carries with him a fur mantle on the right side of his body.
WEAPONS,
Sabre: Though he doesn’t often show it, Saize is an accomplished swordsman and he wields his sabre with expert proficiency. It is a thin, elegant curved blade and is best suited for swift attacks. Sometimes, he will carry this sabre by his side, against his waist. It has no special properties, but it is deadly sharp and supremely fine.
Hidden Daggers: A good assassin has hidden weapons everywhere. In various discreet locations, Saize has hidden blades.
ITEMS,
Twilight Messenger Dark Matter Bracer Not wanting to be slowed down by a clunky shield, Saize had his shrunk into the size of a bracer while retaining its magical properties. Any magical attack that hits the Twilight Messenger's Bracer is instantly and completely nullified, regardless of how powerful it is. This has a 5 (Five) Post Cooldown.
Cool Dawn Seeds: A common item to be found in the Twilight Realm, these seeds are not really seeds at all. Not in the traditional sense of the word. This small pill-shaped item can be broken, and then glows with a fluorescent, dim blue light for a several hour period, or until they are disposed of by appropriate means.
Warm Dusk Seeds: A rare item to be discovered in the Twilight Realm, these seeds are not really seeds at all. Not in the traditional sense of the word. This small pill-shaped item can be broken, and then glows with a fluorescent, bright red until it is shattered. However, the radius of this light is rather small. The item's true purpose is to absorb light in enclosed areas (rooms with windows, caves with torchlight, etc.). In a short period of five minutes, this item can absorb all the light in a room, and fill it with a "cloud" of darkness. The light will be released from the seed under two conditions. If it is exposed to a large amount of direct sunlight (ie, trying to plant one in a field at midday), or physically breaking it (breaking the faint red glow in the midst of the darkness).
Blue Poison Bottle: A deadly poison of Saize’s own formulation, if it gets into one’s blood stream by a cut or drank for example, it causes paralysis for a single turn. If the person is exposed to large quantities of it, it can lead to death. Saize often coats his blades or hair with this or poisons drinks as it is scentless. He carries it in a sturdy vial. Sometimes, his blades come already coated in this poison but it doesn’t hurt to have extra. Over the years, Saize has built a resistance to it.
Smoke Pellets: Small pellets that cause a small explosion and smoke screen when thrown against a hard surface, clouding the immediate area and allowing for an escape or ambush.
ABILITIES,
Twilight Shroud: Leader Ability – * * * Saize manifests his magic into the physical plane, making it take the form of a tattered black cloak covering his entire body completely, even shrouding his face. It could potentially be used on others. Twilight Shroud is sewn from shadows, stitched together using strands of Saize’s hair and will sew itself back together if torn. 1. Twilight Shroud protects the wearer from energy, in particular light energy. This means while wearing it, a Twili could walk in broad daylight without detriment. Light-based magic decreases to half effectiveness when used against it. Twilight Shroud is able to absorb any attack consisting of energy (e.g. a magic fireball, real lightning, magic energy shot etc.). This absorption only lasts 1 turn and has a cooldown of 4 turns. 2. Twilight Shroud amplifies the racial abilities of the Twili – it reduces the cooldown of Shadow Veil’s teleportation by 1 (making the cooldown 2 posts). Additionally, when standing in shadows within the Light Realm, the wearer of Twilight Shroud is able to be invisible for as long as he doesn’t make quick movements. Meaning he could walk and stay invisible, but not run. He could pick pocket, but the quick motion required to thrust a dagger would break his invisibility. Still, it could be effective if the opponent’s reaction isn’t up to snuff. In the Twilight Realm, where all is shadow, there is a whole lot more freedom.
Shadow Theatre: * * * Saize can turn shadows into a fully formed entity of their own – as an analogy, he could be the maker of Shadow Link. Saize is able to make the shadow of a single entity become fully realized. The shadow being is identical to the original in all aspects aside from colouring – with them being various shades of black. It retains the natural physical properties of its original, but lacks any special abilities (that take up MS). For example, a shadow formed from a Goron will have the strength, durability and weight of something of that bulk, but would not be able to use the Racial or any other abilities. Coincidentally, the largest thing Saize can form a shadow being of is a Goron. The shadow creation has autonomy but only in simple tasks – such as attacking an enemy or taking a blow. The shadow being does not have to be living, though; he could make one of an object, for example making the shadow of a thrown blade real so it, too, will strike an enemy. Duration up to 4 turns, cooldown equals the number of turns it was used.
Silver Hair: * * * What few people know is that Saize’s hair is a primary source of his magic. As such, it is able to extend and sharpen, mimicking the properties of steel the hair can reach out like blades to slice and perforate enemies. They can only reach out a maximum distance of 10 feet away from Saize. Many strands must entwine to form one that is sharp enough to be a threat, so the maximum of hair clusters that can strike out is never more than a dozen. The hair clusters are able to move like live snakes, striking out at frightening speeds. They are not very strong individually and can be struck aside with enough strength. Their main advantage is in speed and numbers. The hair clusters are able to act like a thin metal chain and latch onto an enemy if the need arises. Great strains on the hair won’t hurt Saize – it’s magic. As a note, it is impossible to cut Saize’s hair as it grows right back to its normal length – to the detriment of the Twilight Realm’s barbers. Passive.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Shadow Veil: The Twili can choose to occupy any shadow, taking on an incorporeal form. This means that the Twili is essentially removed from combat, so they can’t do anything (or have anything done to them) in terms of fighting. They can also teleport freely between shadows, but doing so has a three (2 with Twilight Shroud) post cooldown in battle. Entering or leaving a shadow takes two action slots, and doesn’t apply to the last turn (i.e. you can’t slip into a shadow after the other guy has fired off his doom laser. You take that hit. It’s the ones afterwards that you avoid). This ability can’t be used in beast form.
Shadow Beast: All Twili have the innate magical ability to turn into a Shadow Beast (i.e. some sort of animal/creature with a loose shadow theme. Shadow Beast form lasts from 2-5 posts, and the cooldown is two posts plus the amount of time spent in the form. Saize’s shadow beast form is that of a pitch black shadow owl. Naturally, the owl has the ability to fly but it also has the special trait to camouflage exceptionally well with its surroundings – appearing invisible to all but the most perceptive.
HISTORY,
An assassin is not born – an assassin is made. Taken from his parents, low born peasants, the boy who would become Saize was forcibly inducted into a scheme to overthrow the Twili monarch. As soon as he could form a fist, he was made to hold a blade. As soon as he could wield it with any strength, he was made to plant that blade into someone’s back. What they had was a child, what they wanted was a weapon. Within that underground cavern the boy thought was the entire world, violence and death were the daily mundane. The only comfort he took was that he was not alone in the dark. There were other children, similarly kidnapped, who suffered through the physical and mental conditioning with him. And although they probably exchanged less words than they had fingers, a bond formed between them in their mutual darkness.
What those children went through in those caverns goes unspoken even now, for it would defy belief and terrify veteran soldiers. If Hell existed, those dark caverns were many folds worse. Whatever happened, those children were slowly stripped of their sense of self and any lingering emotion they might have had. So much so that when they were herded into a black pit and told only one of them could leave – none of them hesitated. They were too accustomed to murder that it had become as casual as a handshake.
In the end, the boy who would be called Saize survived that pit and he was determined to be a perfect weapon – a doll with a blade sharper than any other. Having been taught only what was absolutely was necessary to kill, the boy was not even given a name – but they had to have something to call him by. They initially called him Seize – as in Seize the Throne –but thought it might be a tad suspicious and renamed him Saize. The conspirators planted Saize within the Twilight Messengers, for between their connections and the boy’s abilities, it was a simple matter. He served as a Messenger for many years – instructed to live a normal life until the time was right. He loved, or pretended to, he got married, for a while, he had friends who still don’t know the real him, and he went through all the many motions one would deem a normal life. At some juncture, however, he was invited for a private talk and was offered the role of the next Twilight Assassin for his notable service and skills. A prestigious and unprecedented event, for it was not believed he could make such an impression. The conspirators were pleased with this news – it allowed him to be in an even better position to overthrow the monarchy. Saize felt nothing for any of it. All he could experience was a distant lethargy, all he could feel was a disconnected apathy. What did it all mean? He asked himself one day. And in doing so, achieved the first of his emotions – however faint. He felt frustration in the meaningless of everything. That question changed everything. He was no longer content to be a puppet.
He succeeded as the feared Twilight Assassin at a relatively young age. In dealing death, there was none in the Twilight Realm who could be called his equal. But that was all he was good for, wasn’t it? Killing and more killing, slaughtering and more slaughtering. Apparently, that was the biggest requirement for the job. The role of the Twilight Assassin was to kill enemies to the throne, to dirty their hands so that the Kingdom need not lather in sin. It was a contradiction to what he had been raised to do. However, when the conspirators bade him turn his blade instead to the Twili Sovereigns – he declined. Their violent threats and desperate pleas fell on ears they made deaf to such emotion. He didn’t care. They bled like any other.
Somewhat sated with his life as the Twilight Assassin, if only because it allows him to do the one thing he knows he is best at, Saize experiences life – never living it. He seeks a reason to live, a meaning to his existence he somehow either lost as a child or never had to begin with. Until that time, Saize prowls the Twilight Realm as its Assassin, the most feared individual within the Kingdom. Few know him as such, however, for it is an occupation that requires utmost secrecy as to his identity. To his peers, he is still just another Twilight Messenger, and one that seems confined to the libraries. A bookworm stuck at his desk job, sifting through paperwork and literature rather than working the field, is how the people who call themselves his friends know him by. Few know of his actual role – among them of course being the royal Princess he is meant to protect.

Ok.
Twilight Phantom - Leader Ability We can't really let you have the Flicker ability as it is seriously powerful and can really be abused, although we have no issue with Ghost as it's perfectly fair in offence and defence and cooldown. We would recommend keeping Ghost for this and adding something else.
Fear My Name This, again, is very, very powerful as an ability, more so than the Gerudo's racial ability which has a similar effect, being as you are making yourself effectively invisible for a prolonged period of time rather than a temporary distraction or something. It is a nice ability, which is a pity here, but you unfortunately cannot use abilities of this level... certainly not as a starter level ability, not sure about later on either to be honest.
So... you would be better off using an illusion to perhaps distract attention on a small-scale level, like causing something to catch their attention, a short-term ability to disguise yourself as you do something. Not for a multitude of posts however.
Spirit Blades You certainly won't be able to combine this with "Twilight Phantom" as it'll make them unblockable and you won't be able to make them invisible using "Fear My Name". The quantity of swords you can summon isn't an issue, it's how many you can use in one turn which is the problem. We'll need you to put a limit of two swords from the six that you can use each turn, otherwise you could totally own a target. In addition, could you shorten the range to 10 feet rather than metres?

Right, now I’ve got stable-ish net, I can reply to this properly.
A quick note, a few of your items here have magical properties and therefore demand MS slots to account for them, which would take you over the MS limit for your rank: 3 with one of them having an MU and the racial, so 4 total.
Let’s get started then.
Warm Dusk Seeds Would technically require an MS due to its nature. Whilst Cool Dawn Seeds is simply a light source and the staff agreed it doesn’t really require a light source, instead removing the light from an area completely would obviously render a lot of people at an extreme disadvantage without a limit. Not gonna ask you to put a limit on it, but just to tell you that it would count as an MS.
Blue Poison Bottle Only issue with this is the length that the poison lasts on a weapon. We’ve discussed and concluded that you should only have enough to coat your sword twice, and three sword swings each time, by which the poison is no longer on the sword afterwards. Additionally, could you reduce the effect of the poison from paralysis to slowing the opponent’s body.
Smoke Pellets You’ll only be allowed a certain amount of these, something like 3 would be acceptable.
Twilight Shroud – Leader Ability Cannot let you have the component that absorbs all energy-based attacks, as that is effectively giving you complete immunity against magic.
Shadow Theatre Only thing here is the cooldown, as it is essentially bringing another character into the battlefield which gives you a massive advantage. We had another character that utilized a summon ability and we sorted out a cooldown for it… but I can’t remember for the life of me who it was, so I’ll trust my mod skills to think of what would have been fair.
If I remember rightly, it worked like this: You can create one entity at a time for a certain amount of posts, maximum of 4 and the cooldown from which was equal to the length that it was on the field. In addition, you can only create one entity of one person (so you can create one entity of Person A, and one entity of Person B), but they can still be re-summoned numerous times, so if Shadow Person A is summoned and is then dismissed (either by yourself or by the maximum post limit), then you can re-summon them again after the respective cooldown. However, is Shadow Person A is killed/defeated, then you cannot summon another Shadow Person A for the remainder of the thread.
Lemme know if you need more clarification on that. It’s essentially the cooldown you had in place, with just another little clause added on.
Silver Hair No objections here, just thought I’d mention that it’s a nice little ability. I must admit I wouldn’t personally expect someone’s hair to attack me. =P
I think I’m good with the history, nothing erroneous stands out as far as that goes.
I’m honestly surprised I didn’t lose connection through writing all this. My laptop appears to link me today. A nicely thought through character though, as expected from your usual standards. In total, you have one too many MS slots, which is the Warm Dusk Seeds, which I'll leave you to decide what to do with that.

Due to the roleplayer of this character seeming to have left the site, and with a Twilight Assassin being accepted, I am going to go ahead and move Saize to the archives.
