Nixes is an odd soul. His personality was crafted through a life of privilege and hardship, through love, and loss, through a sense of duty, and a desire for freedom. When first meeting Nixes, he will do his best to be polite. He will be very formal, and smile often. But the smile he forces for most has an eerie fakeness about it. That isn’t to say he can’t smile, he can, but only when he leave his inhibitions behind. The nearly false, regal persona is something his family forced him to cultivate, and it is a useful mask to help tend to his duties. Such duties can range from diplomatic matters, to ending someone’s life.
Deep down, Nixes is far less stable than he appears. He is panicky, and honestly a bit meek, when you break through his emotional wall. He’s not proud of his social awkwardness, but he at least accepts it. At his core though he’s very kind, and willing to help most. He also has a temper, a rather short one, and while he tries his hardest to keep in in check, and focus it properly, it’s a hard task. He is quite good at maintaining his very professional demeanor, bit he can be cracked and sent into a rage. He has a particular distrust of the elderly, the elders of his own family having especially treated him as a means to an end. He’s also not very trusting of the other races, but keeps an open mind.
Nixes is also is a avid tailor. Sewing is something that was passed down to him by the only person he would call true family. He’s quick to patch up someone’s clothes, and is also makes dolls and little stuffed toys in his free time. It’s not something widely known to the Twili public, but it’s also something he does not hide. Nixes also prefers many things in the lower class. After living a stagnated life in the upper class, he has found those with less make more out of their lives, their food has more soul, and their festivals have more heart, generally.
APPEARANCE,

As a Twili, Nixes maintains a rather odd appearance. His skin is a very pale blue; hard to distinguish from white, bit this isn’t plain at first sight. The Twili, along with normal clothing, also have a sort of second skin. It’s black and can be worn on any part of the body, in any pattern. The only thing that actually distinguishes this from normal skin, is the fact that hair can be hidden under it (In which Nixes does not, he however does hide his long ears at times, but not as often as other Twili.)
As stated above, it should be noted that his “suit” covers the majority of his face (other than a small portion of his forehead which is often cover by hair, making a white lopsided half circle on his forehead) from there he splits his light and dark evenly, somewhat chaotically, in a clear opposing pattern. An example would be that his dominate hand; his right hand is black, along with his left leg, his left arm and right leg on the other hand are white. Like all Twili he also has glyph like marks all over his body. His take a more greenish hue, going down his arms, mostly covering his hands, as well as his legs, although they pan out around his ankles. Two faint lines can even be seen leading to each eye from the back. All his glyphs also originate from the same point, which is best described as three connected, cryptic circles that cover his back.
As for his actually appearance, he’s quite gangly, standing over most Humans and other similar races. He looks rather frightening to those that are not Twili, with his devious, smile, and bright red eyes. He actually looks a bit grim, but oddly charming, this charm understood more by his own people. He also happens to look just a bit sickly, though his health is superb. His hair is also a silver tone, something the garners him much attention, and is around mid length, often partially covering his right eye.
As for actual clothing Nixes is rather formal. His undershirt is a dark shade a purple with white trim. One can tell it’s made from very fine fabric just by looking at it, though it is rarely seen full as he often wears a modern type of white frock coat over it. To match this somewhat odd coat in which he wears around his chest, he also wears matching white sleeves. Along with this he wears some simple black dress pants, which match well with his coats inner lining. Along with these he has some small, but elegant strapped boats. Lastly, Clovis is never seen without his black scarf. In its normal state, it reach just bellow his back, in a two tail style. It’s a bit tattered at the end due to its age, but besides that it’s well maintained
As a Shadow Beast, Nixes appears as a somewhat odd looking fox. His body is a bit small and slender. His muzzle is long, and his ears are rather large, and somewhat bat like. Along with this his tail is very large and bushy, actually larger than the rest of his body. His fur is mostly white, with the exception of his paws, ears, and the tip of his tail, which are black. He still retains some of his runic Twili lines, but most of them are on his underside, apart from a few on his paws and along his tail. Though this form is a bit simple, it gets the job done, Nixes not being one for vanity.

Dusk Dominion ( i14.photobucket.com/albums/a308/Clow_/DuskScythe.jpg ) Nixes’s scythe, the weapon passed down from his ancestors that lives in his shadow. A rather large pole arm, it’s over five feet long, nearly as tall as Nixes, and its blade juts out to nearly three. It’s well balanced, extremely sharp, and mystical, making it quite the weapon. Nixes tends to wield it rather freely, making it look weightless despite it being somewhat heavy. (Furth info on the weapon is located in abilities)
Throwing Knives: ( www.huntingknivesandmore.com/image_manager/attributes/image/image_4/42161520_9854307.jpg ) Small Knives, lacking hilts, designed as quick projectiles. Nixes carries about 30 of these on him at any given time. While small they can reach quite a distance, and along with dealing reasonable damage, against stronger foes there very useful for creating and opening to more venerable areas.

Alam’s Refrain: Nixes treasure scarf, in which he has channeled his magic too, binding it to him in a similar way to his scythe, through a mean passed down his family line. (Further info on the item is located in abilities )
Sewing Kit: Nixes always carries various needles and thread, along with other materials to pursue his passion such as stuffing and fabrics.
Dark Matter Shield: A shield that can nullify any magic attack, with a five post cool down. Nixes has a smaller version, in which he wears on his back most of the time, and on his arm in battle. As he wields a two handed weapon, he can’t really hold the shield, thus the arm guard like modification.

Shadow Binding: A skill in which Nixes pins down someone’s shadow, limiting their mobility. This skill doesn’t paralyze someone, but limits there movement to around a ten foot radius, preventing escape. He can do this with any tool at his disposal, knives, his scythe, even his foot. This move will last as three posts, and has a 5 post cool down between binds.
Alma’s Refrain: Nixes’s scarf is quite the versatile little tool. It has the ability to extend to thirty feet in length. The ends can take claw like forms, thus more or less providing Nixes with an extra set of hands, or a very far reaching claw. Finally, it can be use to ensnare an enemy. Its grip is strong, and will most likely last for at least three post, but it can’t be used again for five, after its release.
Dusk Dominion: The Scythe passed down from Nixes by his ancestors. It has quite a few magical properties. Firstly, it is bound to Nixes, living within his very shadow. Along with that, it can’t truly be separated from him without the aid of magic. If it parts from him, he can simply cause it to dissolve into twilight bits, and it will return to him. Along with this, he’s able to unleash a large, crescent shaped shockwave like slash. It’s simplistic in nature, but powerful, and has a cool down of three posts.
RACIAL ABILITIES,[/color]
Shadow Veil: The Twili can choose to occupy any shadow, taking on an incorporeal form. This means that the Twili is essentially removed from combat, so they can’t do anything (or have anything done to them) in terms of fighting. They can also teleport freely between shadows, but doing so has a three post cooldown in battle. Entering or leaving a shadow takes two action slots, and doesn’t apply to the last turn (i.e. you can’t slip into a shadow after the other guy has fired off his doom laser. You take that hit. It’s the ones afterwards that you avoid). This ability can’t be used in beast form.
Shadow Beast: All Twili have the innate magical ability to turn into a Shadow Beast (i.e. some sort of animal/creature with a loose shadow theme). Nixes is that of a slender canine, most resembling a fox. This form is physically weaker then Nixes’s normal form, but makes up for it, with far greater speed. Along with this, Nixes’s senses are also far sharper. This makes this form great for tracking. Along with this, Nixes can use the tip of his long, fluffy tail like a claw. This also allows him to wield his scythe in a modified manner. Though he can fight decently in this form, he would most likely only do so, after tracking an enemy down and going for a quick sneak attack, or if he felt he wasn’t fast enough in his normal state. The from can last from 2-5 posts, and the cooldown is two posts plus the amount of time spent in the form.
HISTORY,
Nixes had an odd childhood, to say the least. One would refer to it as privileged, yet when he thinks back to it, he rarely has nice things to say about his youth. Nixes was born from an arranged marriage, loveless, and designed simply to gain power, and political favor. As such, even since childhood he was raised and groomed, with no other goal then his families rise to power. Naturally Nixes wasn’t in favor of this, he saw all the “normal children” and their families, and felt such envy. But there was a silver lining, a saving grace.
There was Alma. She was more or less a servant girl to Nixes, a nurse maid. But she was more of a family to him than anyone. While his actual family only groomed him for regality, Alma taught him all about life, and kindness. She even taught him how to sew, this being Nixes most beloved hobby. But for some, life is hard and even the slightest nicety can be taken.
After enjoying Alma’s company for many years, loving her dearer than any other living person, she was taken from him. His family found her to be too much of a distraction. Nixes didn’t take this well, for days he avoided all contact. He wanted to run away, but the life he had was all he knew. Eventually he went back to doing his families bidding. Silently he did as he was told, his family feeling they had done the right thing. But one could see, if they were to look hard enough, the rage in Nixes’s eyes.
But none the less, the treatment yielded results. Nixes was focused on the goals that were set forth for him, and he trampled many people in his way. He was cold, calculative, and got the job done, no matter what the cost. And finally, the day came, he was noticed, all his hard work, and raw talent paid off. He was ripped from his family, and spent the next few years under the care of The Twilight Messengers.
Later, after training and evaluation he returned to his family. He announced that he was chosen as the new Twilight Assassin, naturally his family was elated. This however was short lived; as he then announced that he was now needed by the princess and his people required his full attention, and he would thusly, cut all ties from his family. This naturally caused many members of the family to lash out. But Nixes effectively silence them. He was now at the top of political power, and thus out of their control. He threatened that, if they were to try any form of contact, Nixes would use all his new found political power to rob them of what social status they already had.
That was little over a year ago, and Nixes is now starting to get comfortable with his new life style. It was better by far, making what he had gone through before almost worth it. He was able to help his people, and serve at Midna’s side, quite the… for the most part, honor (There relationship shall be addressed in a flash back Roleplay, as discussed with Midna’s roleplayer)
But as he just starts to settle into his new lifestyle, he can’t help but be filled with unrest. Zant’s banishment has truly shaken him. After all, he was denied the thrown do to his anger. While Nixes feels comfortable in his abilities, he can’t deny that he too has potential for such rage. Would the people turn on him too? And what of Princess Midna? Along with all this, he can’t help but feel a storm is coming. And he’s not sure any amount of power will make him or anyone else ready for it.
