WEAPONS,
Harbinger: A large steel combination of scythe and sword, there is a scythe blade on one end and a sword blade on the opposite end. Decorated with ragged scarlet cloth, both ends hide Oocca technology, the same mechanisms that were used in the production of Clawshots, allowing both ends to extend to a maximum of five feet.
Inquisitor: A sinister gauntlet with pointed fingers and a large guard built into it, giving it the surrogate function as a small shield. Within this guard is a small firing mechanism that let's it fire small needles from a small magazine loaded from under the wrist. Each magazine holds ten needles, and only takes a post to reload.
ITEMS,Zolanius' Finery: A fancy set of clothes Zolanius wears for day-to-day events.
Zolanius' Ring: A gold band with an exquisite ruby. Within the ruby is an insignia that proves his social standing amongst his fellow Oocca.
Dark Cloak: An old, ragged set of robes that have several pockets inside. The sleeves are long and wide and the hood shrouds a face perfectly as the leggings brush along the ground.
Flight Mask: An aerodynamic mask with dark lenses. It completely covers the face. The lenses help protect the eyes from flashes of light and dust while flying. Nobody wants a bug in their eyes, right? The mask also holds an air filter to keep out smoke and gases.
ABILITIES,
Will o' Wisps
Zolanius summons two ethereal blue fireballs that float around him. They can either be used for personal defense by having them spin around him at high speeds, or as a ranged attack by launching them both at an enemy. If they miss, they can be redirected. When in a defensive formation, enemies that try to deal a close-range hit will be hit by both Wisps. Either formation lasts two posts with a cooldown of four. Deals one level of damage per wisp.
Spirit Barrier
A shield of ethereal and mental energy is summoned around Zolanius that lessens attacks and blocks the most basic attacks. Lasts one post with a cooldown of four. Decreases enemy attacks by one level.
Biomancy (Adjunct Slot)
With the undead energy from Skeith, Zolanius is able to transfer life energy into him in order to heal himself. If he takes it from just his surroundings, it heals him only a small amount. However, if he make physical contact with other being, he can transfer life from them to heal a slightly larger amount. Reversely, he can send his life energy to others in order to heal them at the cost of his health. Lasts one post, with a cooldown of three posts. No contact heals by one level, contact heals by two. When transfering life from himself, he takes two levels of damage.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Spatial Science
As all Oocca are really no more than weird chickens with faces, they’ve also developed a way to … get around that biological handicap. All Oocca can switch into a humanoid form, which may or may not have bird-like characteristics (e.g. a beak, feathers … you can include stuff like that if you like, but you don’t have to), but they all have large, feathered wings. This means that they can fly, but also that they need to have hollow bones to be light enoughtofly. The frail bones, unfortunately, mean that they have two levels of health less than normal (the most health an Oocca can ever have, barring a magical ability, is 8). Their flight lets them access to a unique third action slot: an Oocca can only use this extra action slot to fly in or out-of-range, as long as it is the last action slot they use during a turn. They also have some very potent powers, reflected in their ability to manipulate space.
Teleport: The Oocca can teleport, moving them in-range, out-of-range, or without changing range; either way, the act of teleporting avoids one physical or magical attack. Cooldown of three posts.
Telekinesis: The Oocca can use a form of magic which allows them to manipulate objects, which comes in three ranges: Weak, Moderate, and Strong. Weak Telekinesis can either deal moderate damage to an opponent (by way of a sort of “force push”, or by flinging a small object at them) or can block a physical projectile that would deal up to moderate damage. Moderate Telekinesis can either deal heavy damage to an opponent (same as Weak, but with a stronger push/larger object) or block a physical projectile that would deal up to heavy damage. Strong Telekinesis, meanwhile, can deal massive damage to an opponent (same method as Weak or Moderate), three levels divided up among separate opponents, block a projectile that would deal massive damage, or block up to three projectiles that would deal moderate damage. Weak Telekinesis puts the whole ability on cooldown for one post, Moderate puts it on cooldown for two posts, Strong puts it on cooldown for three posts, but also consumes two action slots instead of the usual one.
HISTORY,
To simply Zolanius' early life, he would be considered the pampered sort, living most of his life in the City in the Sky, learning almost everything from books and his fellow Oocca who frequent the surface and often trade with those who live on it. From everything he was reading, he immediately took to the finer points of making it in life such as politics, how to develop a silver tongue, and the art of mercantile. He also learned of how flawed the surface dwellers can be. They are easily bought and corrupted, fighting over power, land, and money. It was from an early age that he began to feel he was superior.
In his teenage years, Zolanius had peaked in academics and began to train his body to match his mind. On occasion, he and his closest friends and brothers would leap from the city and fly at great speeds over the fields of Hyrule. He'd practice dexterity and precision by snatching up rocks, fish, whatever he could aim for. Simple, sure, but it was effective enough to properly test his skills.
One day, however, everything turned out rather dismal. On an exercise for cold endurance to Snowpeak, they had landed on a tall hill overlooking most of Hyrule and a manor off in the distance. They were admiring the view until tragedy struck. A subtle whistle sounded as an arrow flew and pierced one of Zolanius' comrades through the heart. The rest stared in shock as the victim fell and slid down the massive slope, leaving a large red streak behind. The rest turned to see a large group of bandits.
Try as they might, the team was easily taken by the group of rogues and their cheap tactics and evil tricks. All of his friends were dead while Zolanius was left to die, wounded and unable to fly home through the snowstorm that was to come. The air became thick with white snow as his body was being frozen, slowly and painfully. Zolanius cursed under his breath how he would die like this. He knew he was superior, and that he would die like this, he gained a newfound hatred.
In the distance, a small light appeared through the veil of white, and was getting closer and closer. Another bandit? Help perhaps? No... a Poe. His name was Skeith, a spirit that also bore a deep seated hatred for humanity that Poes often have. He saw a special fire within Zolanius, and offered a deal. Skeith would bond with Zolanius and save his life. In return, both can effectively display their hatred for inferior life. Zolanius agreed. Skeith entered Zolanius' body, and Zolanius stood, completely ignoring his wound. He found resolve, and followed his new destiny.
Now, his an Adjunct for the Oocca, protecting them from harm and helping them live. He would look down from the sky believing one day, he will take his revenge.
EXTRAS,
As one could guess by the history, Zolanius is host to a Poe spirit, an evil one as most Poes are. Anyone sensitive to life energy or the spirit world would be able to sense this anomaly thinking that Zolanius may be considered undead. Skeith may appear from time to time and act as Zolanius' personal Navi. He can also help with Zolanius' disguise by making his eyes glow yellow and changing his voice by projecting his voice over Zolanius'. He will also alert Zolanius to immediate danger around him such as traps or living things that may cause him harm.
