[Kulau]

Kulau's days were growing longer and more boring. His trips to Lake Hylia were becoming frequent. Even with the catastrophe, Kulau had little to do. Many of the messages were written, and didn't require him to visit other territories. There was a pressing need for the summit meeting to call eventually, and he was not looking forward to that. Some of the rulers had questionable morals, but this was not the time for a race war.

Regardless of the events of the royalty of Hyrule, Kulau had another day of no activity, which meant another day swimming laps around Lake Hylia. He moved so gracefully through the water it was almost surreal, even if he would never admit it.

Abenzio stood on the waters edge, staring around with a large quantity of interests. The Noble Hylian had never been outside of the Castle Town, and for most of his life he had only peeked outside of the City Walls on occasions. This was initially his first journey outside of the safety of his home, and while he had trained much of his life, he had never actually met combat with a monster before. With Humans yes, mostly vigilantes.

Pounding his large Halberd into the ground with the blade held up, he gazed into the deep waters, pondering how hard it actually was to swim. He was 18, and didn't know how; it was considered uncommon for most, he assumed. Swimming was a natural thing right? He actually wasn't to positive, but it couldn't be that hard.

[Kulau]

Kulau didn't normally bother with any guests of the lake. Travelers were frequent, they would take a break from caravanning to bask in the beauty of the lake. But there was one who caught the Zora's attention. The man appeared to be a knight, and in light of recent events a Hylian knight at the foot of Lake Hylia was not a good portent. It could very well be nothing but Kulau didn't want to take that chance.

On his next lap around, he leaped out of the water and landed not far from the knight. Greeting him with a bow, Kulau approached the knight.

"Good morning sir. It is not often we are graced by one of the knights. I trust you don't come bearing news of another catastrophe." Kulau was really hoping this was just a recreational visit. He was in no mood to be handling catastrophes again. All he wanted was a simple diplomatic mission, was that too much to ask?

As he addressed the boy as a Knight, Abenzio felt the frown spread across his face. He wished...he wished. The Catastrophe's were not something he had honestly heard to much about; the Nobles spoke about them here and there on occasions, but for the most part he knew little of the whole situation. "Ah, uh...no. I'm not a Knight, just a Squire. And I've not hear of any more Catastrophe's, y'know." By Squire he meant a trainee currently trying to join the knights. Abenzio was only 18, and he had yet to prove himself to the Hylian's. He wasn't proud of the fact that he had yet to join him, but it would happened someday. Kulau nodded. "Well then, it is nice to meet you, good squire." Kulau had a deep respect for a dedicated group like the Hylian Knights. A squire was no different, the boy was likely just young. He had a young face, but determined.

Kulau felt during his exercises it was necessary to at least keep an eye out or trouble. He may not be the warrior his brothers were, but he held his own in a fight.

"So what brings a Hylian Squire out to Lake Hylia this morning?" Part of him almost wished the boy brought trouble, even though trouble was bad. At least it was exciting.

Abenzio had limited access to any races other than the Hylians or Humans. He had interacted with them on the occasion, however the most he knew of them came from books and occasional sightings through the city. "Oh, well....well, I've never been outside Castle Town, and this is my first time. I figured I'd see the notorious lake." He was somewhat ashamed to admit it, but it was the truth. Kulau was a bit surprised by the fact that Abenzio had never been outside of Castle Town. Sure it was possible, but usually everyone at least got out of town to rest once.

"So you've never been outside of the castle walls, you say. That is certainly an unusual thing to hear. My people usually leave the domain at a young age, even if we only go as far as the lake. Anyway, it's good to get away at times. There is a lot of Hyrule to see, between the lake, mountains, and forest." He looked out towards Death Mountain, then Faron Woods, wondering how the areas were. It had been almost a month since he left the Lake Hylia area, which was a long time for him.

Abenzio glanced down at the water as the Zora spoke, somewhat afraid of it with understandable cause. "Yes. I'm from a family of Nobles, very protective over me. Its....been quite boring." His nervous, watchful eye on the calming waters was apparent, but if the Zora had caught on was unappearant to Abenzio. He hoped not, he was relatively nervous about meeting a new person from a new race.

"Names Abenzio Jacoby. Call me Aben for short. You?" He asked politely.

"Kulau. I work as a diplomat, but I haven't been working much recently. I guess now I'm more of a peacekeeper in the wake of all the calamity. He turned to the side, standing fairly close to Abenzio, a bit out of arm's reach.

Kulau sighed, some old memories returning to him. "I was born to a noble house as well. A warrior's son. I didn't have the body to follow in my father's footsteps unlike my brothers so I took up diplomacy. It's served me well, as I have served my people." He was still proud of his position, he had to work hard to get there.
