As it happened, Zaph had never been fond of showing his musical talents in public. Certainly, the young man was an arrogant son of a *****, and he was cocky in his ways, but he did fear what the public thought of him outside of his academic influence, and so, on nights like tonight, Zaph took his instrument with him out to the quiet and peace of the village and wooded areas of Ordon. Fortunately, the common people had all gone to rest for the night, and the village was nearly empty, as was its surrounding woods and paths, and so, because of this, Zaph decided to take a seat under a tree and prop his guitar up on his lap.
Looking around, the careful man made sure that he was entirely alone before beginning to play. He strummed quietly, careful not to play so loud as to wake the surrounding people. Not that he cared about waking them, but he did care about them hearing him, and the young man would not have that. Playing away, lost in his music, Zaph became entranced with the song and couldn't help but to sing a few bars, his minor-suited voice carrying softly into the woods with an intentionally flat glissando and careful vibrato. He did most certainly have a voice suited to sing, though he took most effectively to the piano and its keys without singing. In fact, he had given performances that were paid by Hyrule's own during dances and feasts and the like, something he enjoyed very much.
In such cases, he didn't have to interact with people. He could simply enjoy his music, as he did, and not worry about people attempting to get near him. In his mind, everyone else of lower intelligence was beneath Zaph, though he'd only admit it in an assholeish way. He generally hated people, and had lost hope entirely in the human race due to lack of common knowledge and sense in these-- what he considered to be-- dark days. People had never been his favorite subject, and he rarely ever held proper conversation with anyone without being viciously mean to them.
But out here, in the wooded area of Ordon, Zaph could play and sing to himself and not worry about the world. Lost in his song, Zaph gracefully moved his fingers about the neck and let the song carry softly across the forest grounds, still careful not to raise his volume. After a while, he stopped playing and set his instrument against the tree and leaned back. He didn't really know what to do at this point other than go home, but he wasn't quite ready to leave yet.
