Jin walked along the longer grass of Hyrule Field, his shield and bucklers on, Lisa on his head, enjoying the sun. There wasn't much too do today, a fact that Jin currently hated to no ends. His entire body seemed to perfectly reflect his mood too. His shoulders were sloped forward, his arms hung listlessly at his sides as if his bucklers weighed a ton, his feet dragged with each step, and worst of all, his face was deadpanned.
Now to most people, a day in which nothing happened would be a good thing. Jin wasn't like most people. In fact, Jin craved adventure, action and excitement! A day as boring as this was just horrible, it even seemed as if the monsters that seemed to enjoy Hyrule Field were taking a break today. Oh this would not do, this would not do at all! Where was all of the danger he had expected to come?
At the very least he wanted someone to talk to. It would of made it a bit better then just wondering around. Thats when he saw something. Someone he hoped. "Hello!" Jin called out, unsure if it was a person or not.

One would have to have horrid vision to doubt whether Yasmine was a person. Even from a distance, her six foot something frame was easily distinguishable as a person. A lithe woman, in fact. But perhaps the ears and large longbow strapped to her back could be a little confusing from a distance. Either way, her sensitive Minish ears picked up the sound of a voice. Were they talking to her?
Her pace slowed as she let her gaze swivel to each side, her torso twisted so she could peer behind her. There wasn't anyone else here... The rabbit huffed and let her pace stay slow. Maybe she could just ignore them. She didn't have to let on that she had heard from that distance. Besides, she had somewhere to go... sort of. It wasn't of great importance, if she didn't want to survive. Yasmine was low on food, and low on rupees, so she had to do what animals did best; forage. A wicker basket was looped around her forearm, her claws tapped against the handle as she quickened her pace as she drew near the source of the voice. She swiftly walked by, her pace so quick now that the armored claws in her boots dug into the soil and ripped some up.
It seemed like she was avoiding the other person~ In her haste, she failed to realize that some of the herbs she had already collected blew out of her basket. Oh noes!

The figure came closer and Jin could see her clearer now. Even though she just happened to have a basket with her, Jin focused mostly on the large bow on her back and the fact that she had very large ears. Jin perked up now, standing a bit straighter as well as changing his current course to going closer to the stranger with the giant weapon and ears. However, she seemed to be unable to hear him for some reason, so he decided to get closer to her.
As he came closer, he noticed that she seemed to move faster, and Jin copied her speed the best he could, holding his turtle on his head. "H-Hey! Wait up!" Jin called out a bit louder, noticing that her basket seemed to be spilling things out. Jin picked them up and kept after her, though a little further away from the woman then before. She was a minish, and had long legs, so there was a good chance that she was much faster then he was. Jin wasn't giving up though.
"Excuse me! You dropped these herbs! Please slow down, you're loosing more still!" Jin called out louder, making sure not to miss a single piece of flora that fell from her basket. "You going to make something tasty?" He added, recognizing the different herbs.

The Minish clicked her tongue. It was obvious he was following her. She could hear his footsteps behind her as she turned her ears slightly to catch what he was saying. There was something he said that did make her stop abruptly, though. Her herbs, it seemed, were floating from her basket. All that hard work in the early morning was all for naught! Now if she wanted a meal, she'd have to take extra steps to wash this hume's germs and dirt off of them.
Yasmine turned on her heel, her claws scraped the ground and made a circle around her. "..." She simply stared for a moment, from him, then back to her herbs. Wit a quick, hasty movement, she grasped at her herbs, not caring if her claw-like fingernails did any damage.
Now came the awkward silence. Social interactions weren't really her thing. She knew the proper way she should act. She was taught manners in her childhood days, but she never wanted to waste her breath talking to males, or giving them "respect". Respect had to be earned... But since he did go out of his way to seemingly help her, Yasmine decided to be at least a little polite. A gruff "Thanks" slipped from her mouth before she patted the herbs gently back into their little nest.

Jin smiled at the minish woman when she stopped and when he caught up to her, he stood in front of her with a smile on his face and the herbs held out for her to get without issue. However, she just stared at him for a moment, and he just watched her with a smile, wondering what she was doing nor why it was taking so long for her to actually take the herbs. When she went out to get the herbs, Jin shivered and pulls his hand back, looking at it for a moment, seeing a few scratches on it.
He put his hand behind his back without trying to attract her attention to it, smiling at the woman. She probably didn't realize that she had accidentally scratched him, and he'd tend to it a little later, though right now, he could feel the blood going down his hand slowly. Jin smiled at her when she said thanks and he nodded his head toward her. "No problem! So are you going to cook something?" Jin asked happily, feeling a little hungry himself.
"I'm a really good cook you know! I know how to do a lot of things when it comes to food!" He said with a smile.

A brow raised at his enthusiasm. She had not encountered someone like him in quite some time. Her cute little button nose wiggled as she smelled the air. That irony smell of blood filled her sensitive nose, and she crinkled it in disgust. A quick glance down at her sharp claws let her know that she was the one that caused it. She could see the pinkish flesh beneath her nails, in between the specks of dirt from the morning's forage. Yasmine grunted and reached into her basket for the towel she was going to use if she found any wild carrots or other vegetables. She then tossed it over to him and folded her arms across her chest, the basket on her hip with the handle clenched at her bust.
"If I am lucky enough to get anything else," she started, her carnelian gaze flicking over the landscape in search of any wild vegetable patches, "then I might." Her gaze landed on him again, and slowly drew upward to the turtle on his head. Her brow raised again as she made a 'tch' noise at the turtle. Jin should be happy she's a vegetarian, or else she'd probably decide on some protein with her herbs. Alas, she is not a carnivore, so she hoped she could at least find something of a little more substance.
She wasn't going to do that by just standing around however. She made it clear she wanted to go back to her work by taking a few slow steps off of the path and into some grass. Her nose went crazy with the sniffing as she parted the blades of grass in search of carrots, or turnips, or even some radishes... anything at this point would satisfy her.

Jin blinked as he watched her, wondering what she was thinking and why she was twitching her nose. He even tried to do the same for a moment, finding the feeling to be just a little weird. Why would she do something like that he had to wonder. Jin was starting to feel a little uncomfortable in the silence, wondering why she was taking so long in answering him. Had he said something wrong? Was he doing something that was impolite by Minish standards? He was second guessing himself so much at the moment, he even began to scratch his cheek, a little flustered, he didn't even hear her grunt or notice her searching in the basket.
When the towel hit his chest, Jin grabbed it before it hit the ground and blinked at it, wondering why she had thrown the towel at him. However, when his hand ached a bit, he realized what it was for and wrapped his hand in it, feeling a small bit of pain in his hand as he made sure to clean if off. "Thanks, that hurt a little bit..." He said with a weak smile before looking at the cloth, still wrapped around his hand. "Well, I have a few mushrooms and a head of cabbage. Its not much, but its what I have." He said, motioning to his bag.
When she went back to her work, Jin blinked and walked around behind her, looking at the ground that she was searching. He was trying to help her out, but he wasn't very good at finding wild vegetables, however Jin was quite good at actually cooking itself, he just wasn't a wild forger. "What can I do to help?" Jin asked, not wanting to simply stand around watching the minish woman doing the searching.

Yasmine merely nodded her head at his words of thanks. It amused her how weak humans could be sometimes. Her claws were not sharp enough to dig deep if she applied no pressure. Either way, she acknowledged his thanks and continued searching without a word.
As he talked to her, her attention was focused on the ground. She was searching for particular leaves, for particular stems that would show her the way to some wild vegetables. She almost didn't hear his offer, but when she caught the last of it, her gaze shot up to him. "I do not want your food." Her voice was stern and serious. If she could not gather food on her own, then she did not deserve to eat.
However, if he wanted to help, maybe she could humor him. Maybe she could teach this hume a few useful tricks. Yasmine knelt on her haunches and inhaled deeply, taking in all that was around her. There were many smells of nature out in Hyrule Field, but there was one sweet scent in particular that made her nose wiggle. "Come," she ushered and, using her powerful thighs to carry her weight, she began to walk low to the ground. There was a patch of vibrant greens near the base of a hill. When she grew closer to investigate, she saw little orange rings popping out of the ground, with tall stems and leaves growing out from the middle. "A wild carrot." Hopefully he had gotten to see what it looked like in the ground, for only milliseconds after she announced what she found, she plucked the orange root vegetable from the ground.
Since she no longer had her towel, Yasmine resorted to using her hands to brush off the dirt. She then placed her treasure into her basket. Carnelian eyes glanced up to him as she rest her forearm on her thigh. "Ready?"

Jin held the towel too his hand to stop the bleeding while keeping it clean, wondering what he was going to do with it later. He had soiled something that didn't belong to him with his own blood and actually felt a little bad about doing so.
He kept close to the rabbit minish, watching everything that she was doing, and trying to learn from her as well, though she still had several advantages. He knew about most edible things from the books he read, but there was never one about finding certain things in the wild, so a lot of times he just had to guess and hope. However, when she spoke about not wanting his food, Jin stood there for a little bit, dumbfounded. What was wrong with his food? Everyone else liked his food, so why wouldn't she?
Yet he was pulled from his thoughts by the minish speaking again, and Jin walked over to her, doing his best to copy her low walk, though not nearly as successful. He sniffed the air, but only smelt the world around him, not able to pin-point any certain smell. Jin could only trust that she had actually found something, and so he kept after her, trying to see what it was she was leading him toward. When she stopped, Jin stopped next to her and looked at the ground, seeing a bunch of green plants. However, his eyes caught the orange and he saw the wild carrot just before she plucked it from the ground. Jin's eyes were wide and full of wonder.
"Wow! Thats amazing! Tracking it down by smell and then picking it to eat it! I never knew that Minish had such a strong sense of smell!" Jin said, truly in wonder at the skills that the woman showed him. However, his wonderment was short lived, because she was soon all ready to head out, with her carrot picked and all. "Yes! I am ready!" Jin said, excited about their next destination, even more so that she seemed to actually invite him along.

With a nod, Yasmine pushed herself up to her full six foot two inch height, which could be quite intimidating for some. Normally, women weren't that tall and could not stare a man face to face like she often could do. It made it worse when that face was constantly crinkled in annoyance and her piercing crimson eyes were staring right back. "Do not underestimate me."
Yasmine turned and made her way to another untouched patch of greens. There was something hidden among the foliage here, but it wasn't her turn to pick it out. "Show me what a hume can do." She stepped aside to give him full access to the patch of grass. Just what could he find~? This was a test of sorts, or was it just for her amusement? Either way, she kept a serious face through the whole thing, never once showing that she was actually sort of neutral about his presence. For once, she wasn't wishing that another person would GTFO.

When his new friend got back to her feet, Jin tried to, but he couldn't, at least not at first. He wasn't used to kneeling this low, so after a bit of struggle, he finally was back to standing tall, though not nearly as tall as Yasmine. Jin cracked his back and stretched his legs, trying to get his body back into shape when he looked at her. Do not underestimate her? Why would Jin do that? Was there something more she could do? WAS IT MAGIC? He was excited now.
"Why would I underestimate you? Do you have some secret power? Can you do magic? I can do a bit of magic, but not much. My buckler here is magic too." Jin said, showing her his right buckler with a smile. However, she was already on her way and he made his way over to her, looking at the area that she stopped at. He was all ready to see what she was going to show him, but when she spoke he blinked. "You want me to find something?" Jin asked, looking at her before looking at the ground again.
With a shrug, he got down low and sniffed the air, only getting the smell of grass though. He looked along the grass and used his hands to spread clumps of grass apart without actually pulling out any of the grass. He looked for leaves growing out of the ground, trying to find something, anything, that they could use to cook with. Jin sniffed the air again, putting Lisa onto the grass and letting the turtle wonder off while he even scrunched up his nose like she did, hoping it'd help. He wasn't good at sniffing up veggies. At one point, Jin leaned forward a bit too much and fell forward onto his chest, coughing a bit and shaking his head.
However, when he had recovered, he was staring at what he knew too be a clump of celery. He had found it! Granted, it was because he face planted into the ground, but that wouldn't defeat him now that he had victory. Picking himself up and smiling over at Yasmine, his face a bit dirty, Jin pointed at the clump with a grin. "I found some celery! I found it by accident, but its still here!" He said, sitting Indian style.

Yasmine simply shook her head to dismiss the fact that he didn't understand her. It was probably for the best that she didn't explain herself. When she saw that he had pulled up some celery, she nodded in approval. "Good." She reached out for it, and this time she was careful of her claws. With the stock of celery in her fist, she knelt down next to her bag and tucked it beneath her other spoils.
"Do you have a place to cook this, or shall I start a fire?" Yasmine didn't look at him as she asked. She kept her gaze focused on her bag as she dug around for something.

From his bag Jin produced a small metal pot which could be able to serve about 3 people depending on how much was put in. "I have this, we can use this to cook the food in, right?" Jin asked, not too sure what else she might be able to suggest. Looked around a bit and nodded his head somewhat. "If you want, I could also set up the fire." Jin said, before he pulled out a few other things.
"I also have some knives to cut and some spices to put things in." Jin said with a smile, looking to the side and rubbing the back of his head. He wondered where exactly that they might of been able to head off to cook. "Do you have a place we can cook this stuff?"
