A pair of deep oceanic eyes stared at the ripples of the lake as the carrier of said eyes sat by the edge of the lake. Today, there was a large overcast tempting to bring down rain, but there was no sun in sight. To Akira, it was nothing short of glorious, meaning he didn't have to hide his form within the dark shadows from the risk of being burned alive by this realm's harsh light.
The subtle shades of gray painted the lake today a soft monochrome color, which felt comforting for some odd reason for the silent adviser. It gave him time to think over his current position, the types of people he met since his journey into the Light Realm, and what could he be doing to help his leader, Princess Midna.
He could feel vibrations within the earth, and took notice of everything all around him. Life all around him that he's never seen before just going about their daily lives one day after another. Did they not know of what was happening to their homes? Or perhaps did they not care of what has been happening? Akira wasn't quite sure. Perhaps it wasn't any of his business, but nonetheless he knew everything around him from the waves he watched. Being a sound manipulator, it became second nature to notice small waves moving about in front of him, from the ripples in the waters, to the very unsteady movement of the school of fish that swam by him.
He brushed his silver locks out of his face as he allowed a small sigh escape from his lips. It was a a fortuitous day for the Twilit Adviser. Perhaps it was best not to brood over silly things.

Perhaps people such as Akira had heard of Erebos, the guard whom initially stayed behind in the Twilight Realm. While the others rushed into the new world, eagerly awaiting their adventures with what he considered arrogant, foolish behavior. There were many reasons to be skeptical of the Light Realm, everything about it was sensitive. How they interacted with the Natives, how easily the sunlight could demolish them and burn them away. Erebos was not content with blindly rushing into unknown territory.
Even so, here he was, investigating the Great Lake that spanned across Hyrule. A fraction of the land, and so far the second much tranquil place he had been to. He didn't like it though; no tree's, nothing to cast shadows directly on the lake. Water was also not his friend, not in the least bit.
"Akira."
Erebos stood behind the other Twili, his claymore fashioned at his hip. He was a Guard among their ranks, serving specifically to guard Zelda and Serve the Assassin. Erebos rightfully earned it as well, being a somewhat older member of the Twili population. He's been around...for quite some time.
"Enjoying the Light Realm?"

The quiet twili could sense Erebos' presence approaching him, but reacted calmly when he heard his name spoken. His head turned around, and met the messenger with a serene composure. Apart of him was mildly surprise that anybody from the Twilight realm acknowledge him, especially with the odds of meeting another native from home. As a young adviser, he did not specialize in carrying an archive of knowledge to use at his disposal to give the best advice for not only his people, or even to the sovereign for that matter.
That didn't mean he didn't try his best when it came to giving the best answers he could, but he had his doubts people didn't take it as serious as he'd like them to. Being young, and in a position of power had it's negative impacts with those who thought differently on whether or not he deserves such a position. Nonetheless... it was his duty to serve the princess just the same as Erebos did.
"I have mixed feelings about this realm... but perhaps its just circumstantial." It was a question he knew he could answer without having to go into a deep philosophical thought about. When he finished giving his two cents, he rose up from his little resting spot, and dusted off the grass from his clothes. Turning his attention back over to Erebos, he gave a small forty-five degree bow, a polite gesture to the guard of the Twilight Messengers.
He felt he was right on the mark when he added circumstantial at the end of his sentence. Akira was beyond upset with the recent events occurring in the mountainous province, Eldin. How the rockmen placed blame on the interlopers for Death Mountain's eruptions... Though he had to calm his nerves down, and quickly take into consideration that his other encounter with a denizen of light wasn't... quite so bad. If only a little weird on his part.
"And you? Surely, you've acquired a few opinions of your own here?" he politely returned the favor.

Erebos knew of Akira for two reasons. The first being that he was somewhat close to his height, as Erebos stood 7 feet tall, and the second being that he had many years under his belt, so to speak. He's had plenty of time to get to know many of the Twili in their realm especially the ones in positions of power. The Twili nodded as he spoke how he felt about the place; he could understand it, and it wasn't until recently that he figured out how strongly the natives were blaming his people for Death Mountain. Foolish antics would not slow his blade however. The first one to raise a blade against him would find only death, however he kept this to himself. So far, some had made friends with him, and some had attacked him.
"The Fairy Queen Titania is a new friend, one of my few. Aside from her, I must keep my opinions to myself. They are not fit for the ears of an adviser." He spoke with a steady tone, a tone that was shown only to kin and allies. He was not the friendliest appearing person, so he had to exemplify his feelings through his words. He knew something wrong would occur in this world; it was a matter of if he could try and fix it before it escalated to quickly. The eruption however was an unforeseen event he could not change.
"To say the least, Akira, I'd prefer our race remain in the Homeland."

It brought a bit of weight off of the Adviser to know that the Guard had his fair share of experience, and that at least there was a positive in his travels. He gave a small nod of his head listening with a void of amusement or ruse implicating that he was anything except relaxed. By any means, he never let it out of his train of thoughts to contemplate the fact that there weren't any natives that would accept them. It was only strengthened by Erebos' mentioning of becoming friends with the Fairy Queen. "Understandable," he spoke softly, his eyes returning back over to the surface of the water's edge. He couldn't help but notice the lack of reflection upon the surface, but then again, did twili even have reflections? Perhaps it was just the massive overcast floating up above them...
"I couldn't agree more with you, Erebos," he said honestly, "Unfortunately, we can't convince the rest of our tribe to feel the same way. Especially the ardent youth who longed for more than the docile tranquility of our home." Hell, even their sovereign was out there on her own accord searching high, and low for their ancient race's treasure. In a sense, he felt obligated to helping her in that matter, but the prominent concern at the matter was making sure none of their people were hurt. Even if he couldn't convince the people who took the leap of fate to go into this realm that held no place for them, it was still his priority to make sure that everyone was ok, at least.
"Our princess gave them the option to leave the Twilight realm, and left them to their own devices... and it is in their own free will, I suppose, that they decide their fate." Just as the two men had their own right of free will to do whatever it was they may well pleased in this world. Personally, the adviser thought of this sort of freedom as a reason to stay faithful towards the princess. To give her his powers to use at her disposal so that he didn't feel like an incompetent fool in power. His choice was of his own free will, after all. Akira respected, and enjoyed the messenger's company, feeling a bit more at ease from the sound of his voice, a steady tone who looked to him without a harsh judgemental stare.

Erebos smiled, for the first time since his contact with the Fairy Queen. This smile was a true one, however, born from honest happiness. Akira reminded him of himself when he was his age. Always taking his responsibility seriously; the only difference was that Erebos was much to hot headed. That part of him faded a long time ago, however, and none of it remained within him.
"Its enlightening, to see a young Twili with a good head on his shoulders. Its Twili like us who will have to guide this nation behind the scenes."
He did not intend disrespect Midna by saying what he did, he just simply meant that much of what they do will define the fate of their Realms people. The Twili were relying on people like them, rather they knew it or not.

And it was that very same responsibility that Akira tended to doubt he deserved he should have. Clouds put his judgments in a bit of a haze thanks to this unfortunate clingy need to be self-assured. He was always out of his comfort zone with those he associates with, be it from this world, or the next (referencing the Twilight Realm) it just seemed like his voice is nothing more than a distant star out in the middle of space. Erebos’ sincere words threw a wrench in the young twili’s thought process.
“I am honored by your words,” he spoke humble, but earnestly. It placed a bit of confidence in Akira’s small self-esteem levels to be viewed in such a way from one of the Twilight Messengers, especially someone that ranked in the guards.
Akira learned pretty fast that being brash, impulsive, and overall reckless lead to catastrophic results. His pale tinted skin and silver hair were obvious results of the post-traumatic symptoms disclosed since his observations with playing with traps, and their overall designs. “It takes one person to fill the role of leader,” he mentioned staring out at the still waters. The moisture in the air thickening inquiring the rain that would call if beckoned. “However… it takes more than one person to influence the aspect of an entire nation. I pray that, for the both of us, and those who made the pilgrimage to the Light Realm do not fall into a game of pride, and prejudice between the denizens of light.”
He ran his fingers through his thin silver strands. He still couldn’t believe how much his physical formed change from such a devastating accident in the past. Though the evidence was staring at him straight in the face. Akira could only suppose that such matters as physical appearance only ran skin deep. “After all, at one point in time, we were all once indigenous people of Hyrule.”
Once upon a time…

Erebos nodded, agreeing with the young Twili Messenger. "So the story goes." He couldn't say much more other than that; he agreed fully with Akira in all aspects. He couldn't help but wonder which side Akira would choose, if the Twili were split. Although none of them spoke it, there was a chance that their race would once again face banishment from the Natives of Hyrule. However this time, not by their own fault. Death Mountain was being blamed on the Twili, and their Race would face more difficult challenges down the Road.
If it was to be, that the natives would cast war and pursue banishment on the Twili, then he had a feeling that this time around it might be different. Their were Twili who were headstrong, prideful, and unwilling to accept this fate. Resistance would be imminent, and accordingly, Erebos found no comfort in simply falling back in shame.
"If we are faced with Banishment once more, would you follow Midna in retreat....or ready your arms for war?" The question was lightly spoken and in all ways sugar coated. Both of them knew the real question was face Treason against the Princesses choice, if she herself followed retreat. So far, they had not struck Erebos personally, but if they were to take something dear to him....destroy him...he would return the gesture without consideration.

That was a tough call. Erebos posed a question that Akira took a moment or two of silence to think about. His attention was lowered staring at the ground as if it would tell him what the right answer was. Nothing. If Midna should decide that it would be in their best interest to return back to the Twilight Realm because the natives of this world intends on banishing them yet again, Akira just couldn't fathom the princess being willing to go with such a plan. She was unruly, and didn't take orders from anyone, serving no one but herself - indirectly serving what would be best for her people. It was difficult to influence her decision.
"To be honest, I can't imagine the princess would follow such a route if were to happen," he noted, "However, hypothetically speaking, if she did... I can't find it in myself to follow such a command. After how many centuries of being locked up in our realm - don't get me wrong, I love our home - only to have this one miraculous chance to return here. Who would want to return after being given such a marvelous opportunity?" He couldn't blame the youth if they decided to rebel against it. That is we're still talking hypothetical here.
"Still, that is just my aspects on the matter, but I think my actions would serve the purpose of what the occasion brings upon at the time," he explained to the older twili. A typical response from a young twili, always doing things for the moment rather than thinking what the future may bring. Akira knew that the future didn't look the brightest for the twili, but it would be pointless thinking over possibilities if they didn't happen as of yet. It wouldn't mean that theories, and ideas wouldn't cross his mind in the long run, but it would do them both better to watch out for their people, their ruler, and themselves for the time being.
"I will say this though," he inquired, "If the possibility of banishment makes itself known, I would want justice to be served... no matter what the means to get it."
(My apologies for lateness. =/)
