His sandals had been removed, packed into his sleeve, and the sand was burning his feet. He grumbled to himself that this was all a big ruse to get him killed. He had asked wizards about a way to augment his abilities, and they pointed him this way. But it all seemed to be a lie. There was nothing here but sand, and now Thoven was hopelessly lost. Normally his map of Hyrule would help him, but all he could see through this sand was sand and more sand. He'd call out for help, but the Gerudo wouldn't be of any help, this he knew for sure. So he was on his own, drinking his own conjured milk just to stay hydrated.

Barefoot, a girl walked through the desert as if there was no sun in the sky to heat the grain underneath her. Her black hair gleamed in the sun, a perfect contrast to the tan expanse around her. The sun continued to radiate its smoldering waves down upon her, but one could not pick up any signs of distress from the female; she had a smile plastered across the width of her face as she walked on.
Soon she caught sight of another person roaming through the neglected area. Her red irises were illuminated in the sunlight, as she lifted her head and called out to them:
"Heyyyyy! You over there!!!" She happily sprinted over towards him, expending seemingly no effort whatsoever.

Thoven could barely see, let alone see the girl approaching. When she called out to him, he instinctively started to run away, but tripped over his robe. He had stood up by the time she stood up, and he looked her over. His eyes narrowed as he drew his conclusions about her.
"Black hair, red eyes, you don't bear the telltale signs of the Gerudo tribe. Do you know the way out of the desert, I appear to be..." he lowered his head in shame. "lost." He picked his head back up, hoping she would be able to help. He was sort of helpless, and little could be done without any assistance.

The girl stood next to the person, who she now saw was a rather tattered looking male. He certainly didn't look to be in the best shape of his life. A small giggle escaped from her lips as the man tripped over his own garments; no traces of remorse could be detected anywhere on her visage.
"Yeah, you're lost, eh? Well I've got a sense of direction as good as any canine's, but what are you gonna give me if I help ya, huh?" The female laughed internally-- of course this chump wouldn't have anything to give her! Nothing except the clothes on his---
"Woah, woah, woah!!! Hey, there! That's a nice looking map you've got there!"
Though it seemed to contradict her previous statement of what a good sense of direction she had, the female couldn't help but desire that map. Something inside of her told her that she wanted it before for some reason-- she just couldn't remember why at the moment. A favor for a friend perhaps?
"I'll help you find your way out in exchange for that map! And you better think twice before you try to get anything outta me for free, that milk ain't gonna last you forever, you know."

Thoven was now officially unnerved by this girl. She seemed to be trouble, and on top of it all she wanted his map.
"Well, I can't just give you my map. It took me a long time to chart this map out." She then decided to mock his use of the conjure milk spell. Little did she know, his milk was effectively endless. "It's actually conjure milk, and it's a very versatile spell. It can last me a long time I'll have you know." He took out his grimoire and put the map inside the grimoire before sighing and putting the map away.
He rearranged his robes so they were on straight and not pulling on any sensitive areas. "If you can get me out of here, I'll make you a copy. But I can't just hand you the original."

As the greasy looking man continued to speak, the rather impatient raven haired belle tilted her head to the side and began to crack her knuckles. What an ungrateful little imp! I guess we'll just have to do this the hard way!
She wasn't in the mood to listen to excuses, or deal with hagglers. She needed a map! She didn't remember why, but she knew she would eventually!
"Listen, you sour piece of excrement," she hissed, snatching the collar of the man's robe roughly in her fists and pulling him close enough so that he could feel her hot breath on his face, "You better cooperate or I'll take the damn thing without your permis---
Oh, a copy, you say?"
She let go, and gave the man a rough shove, proceeding to place a hand on her hip and shooting the male a skeptical look. A copy would do she supposed, but she wasn't even sure if she could trust the guy. But she figured even if he didn't keep his end of the bargain--well, there were always ways of dealing with people who welshed on their deals! And the girl had to admit, she was rather fond of the sound of bones fracturing, cracking, and splintering in half.
Yummmmm.

Thoven would have been lucky if he wet himself. His yellow robes would camouflaged it. That's almost what he did when she grabbed him up. He began to shiver, frightened for his life. He was a wizard, but he could defend himself worth a damn.
When she released him with force, he fell back on his rear, eyes wide with fear. He was intending to keep his end of the bargain, but she was being quite terrifying right now. Nervously, he got back up, stumbling a little as he tried to get his bearing. "Yeah, yeah, a copy. Just...just help me escape this d-desert." The fear in his eyes and voice was palpable.

The female cocked her head back as a sudden cackle burst forth from her moist--and curiously so, since she was smack dab in the middle of a bloody desert-- lips.
"Hah! Good! I'm glad we could see things my way. Who are you anyhow? I mean, I'm not implying that you look like anything more than a nobody, just asking for your name, really!"
The brilliant sun in the sky was now directly above them, a giant flaming orb that was necessary to sustain life, but also capable of destroying it. Surely its rays must be harsh on anything in the desert that was not Gerudo, however in Slaughter's heightened state she could feel nothing as constant surges of testosterone and nutrients circulated through her veins.
I like this place, she thought lackadaisically.

The fact that her lips were moist did surprise the frightened but still aware wizard. However, in his inferior state, he would not pry. He was quite unnerved by her, and intended to leave her as soon as their deal was complete.
"Err, yes. Good. Now, about that escape." He was desperate to leave, but he was able to survive out here. One of the very few uses his limited magic has. Then she asked for his name. He stopped momentarily, not wanting to upset the female who would act as his guide.
"Thoven. I'm a...a wizard. Nothing more." That was a lie told in honesty. While he was a wizard by trade, his skills were elsewhere. He was an awful wizard. He adjusted his hat and smiled nervously.

"Why so tense, Tobin?" The girl said as she gave the male a rough punch on the shoulder. "And don't be in such a hurry," she drawled, slowly lowering herself to a seated position on the sand, and looking up admiringly at the glimmering sun. "After all, it's just like you said! Your precious curd won't run out anytime soon, correct? Let's enjoy the sun . . . while it lasts!" She cackled once more at her own joke, as she crossed her legs, not the least bit bothered by the burning sand.
A soft sigh escaped from the female, and she rolled her shoulders back, massaging them gently with one hand. "Now, let's take a look at that map, shall we? Hand it over," she said, holding out her free hand, but not bothering to peel her eyes off of the sun, unrelenting in the sky.

Thoven recoiled from the punch on the shoulder, uncomfortable and just wanting to leave. Why did she have to be so difficult.
"Well yes, I do have milk, but that doesn't make the desert any less comfortable." He took a moment to wipe the sweat from his brow.
"But if I show you the map, you'll leave and I'll be without a guide and a map. Why don't we just leave the desert? Come on, I'm boiling here." He wiped more sweat from his face while he waited for her to want to leave. She was starting to annoy him, and he just considered leaving. He wasn't making any progress with her, and he'd find his way out eventually, he hoped.

"All right, all right. No need to get your codpiece in a bunch! Jeez." With that, the girl bounced up back onto her bare feet and patted herself off.
"And you're right! I don't need that stupid map! I know the way just fine!" She giggled as she pointed an index finger out in front of her. Mentally, Slaughter charted all the key points that she had seen on the way over here. It wasn't difficult, especially in this heightened state of mind. All her senses were elevated, and her perception was sharper, crisper. She remembered every bush, every peculiar groove in the sand-- anything that could serve as a marker.
This of course came with its consequences, however, and temporarily wiped out other memory in Slaughter's brain to give way for more storing capacity of important details.
"It's this way. Let's go--uh--what did you say your name was again?"

Thoven breathed a sigh of relief as the girl finally agreed to help him exit the desert. Brushing off some of the sand, he started to follow her finger out. It wouldn't be long now before he was able to breathe fresh air again.
"Thoven. My name is Thoven" he said nervously, still freaked out by her. It wasn't good for him to be so afraid, but there was little he could do. He was outmatched and practically under her control. "I, uhh, I don't believe I got your name, ma'am."

"My name?" she echoed, with a wild look in her eyes. She tilted her head to the side and looked back up at the blistering sun overhead. The blinding rays made direct contact with her pupils, but Slaughter didn't move and inch, save the slight trembling of her wet, pink lips, as she opened her mouth to speak once more.
"I am the one who comes in the name of the demigods. I am Eldonna, demon and succubus of Purgatory. I am Lilith, Heaven's prostitute, and the one who refuses to be subservient to the first man. I am the waning moon, and the bright light that comes to vanquish the darkness at dawn. I am the silver lining on opaque clouds and the blazing star up above-- I am Sunny Skies, the bastard child of Mother Mary and Lucifer, and don't you forget it."
Slaughter's eyelids closed along with her mouth, finally shielding her eyeballs from the scorching sun, and she began to walk in this manner with seemingly no trouble at all.

Thoven wasn't entirely sure what she was doing, or whether or not there was a name contained in her speech. It mattered not, since he was in no position to be questioning her at all.
"Uhh, yes, ok. Got it. I'll be sure to write it down when I'm finished with your map." He continued to walk, trying to keep up with her almost effortless way of walking. He was sure he had some burns on his feet, but right now it was all about getting home. He couldn't survive in this desert forever.
"Uhh, how far out are we? I mean, how long until we'll be out of the desert."

The girl raised an eyebrow at the male, without opening her eyelids. "Well, sir! You've wandered pretty far out. Judging from my calculations . . ." Her nose wriggled as she paused for a beat-- whether she was actually running through any legitimate measurements and facts in her head was a question that would forever remain unanswered.
"I'd say, we'll be out of here in about a fortnight's time. If we're lucky, that is!" Her voice sounded smooth and velvety, oozing charm and sincerity. No trace of a lie could be detected in the way she spoke, or by her facial expression.
"So, since we're gonna be out here for a while, I suggest you start filling up time by telling me, A) how you got out here in the first place and what you were doin'! And B) a little more about yourself in the process!"

Thoven stared at her in disbelief, his jaw opened until sand got in and he had to close it shut. He pulled out his map and checked it.
"Impossible. I've only been out here a day, how could I have wandered a fortnight's distance? It won't be that long, no way. We'll be out of here by day's end." He attempted to check the map for a way out, but there were no markers of note nearby that would indicate where on the map he was. He needed to map out the desert more.
"I was told there was a way to improve your magical prowess out here, so I wandered out into the desert to find it, but all I found was sand. It was another cruel prank. I keep trying to improve on my magic, because I can only cast three spells, and only 1 of them is actually useful. My other spells mend and vague aren't nearly as useful."

"A cruel prank? Someone played a prank on you, Mister? Awh, that's really sad." The words were genuine enough, but it was the girl's tone of voice that made it clear: she lacked any and all sympathy whatsoever.
The man really was pathetic, not only were his magical skills hardly up to par, but his directional skills were lacking as well. Sad, quite sad.
"Sunny Skies, Sunny Skies-- oh, how I love the Sunny Skies! They make me feel glad to be alive, you know? No matter how sad I get, or how lonely, I just look up at that burning ball in the sky and I am reminded of the unity and familial ties that all living creatures are bonded by."
Everything coming out of her mouth was word salad-- the girl just talking for the sake of running her mouth. It was something she had to do, like letting air out of a tightly closed system in order to relieve it of the pressure. She wasn't interested in Thoven's little sob story in the least, and so she just continued to walk in the direction of Hyrule Castle, the area she had just come from.

Thoven got worried as she began to shoot words from her mouth like a loose cannon. And what a loose cannon she was. He wasn't entirely sure she could be trusted with directions. Or anything else for that matter. He worried nature certainly wasn't going to tell her off in any way. He might lose body parts for that, and that would be bad.
"Y-yes, I agree, ma'am." He was being nervously polite, an obvious ploy to get her to not kill him. It was better than just nodded as he walked on through the sand, knowing how cold the desert nights were and wanting to escape that. Quickly.

Slaughter suddenly stopped dead in her tracks.
She winced, feeling the sudden agony of something similar to a migraine over take her. "Agh!!" She screeched in pain, her temporary state of heightened power beginning to peak. After enough time was spent in this condition, Slaughter's body would collapse underneath its own power and her energy would be released.
Suddenly, the girl whirled around, her black locks blanketing everything but her piercing red irises, and she abruptly grabbed the man by the collar of his robe once again.
"Y'know, I really hate scum bags like you. Cowards. Brown-nosers. Filth. I should just take care of you right here and spare the world the trouble of having to support your pathetic existence and dead weight!"
Slaughter was quickly losing grip of everything around her, as a red aura began to surround and envelop her. Her memory was fading; she couldn't even remember why she was here anymore.
"Tragic. They left you out here in the desert by yourself because they didn't care correct? Nobody cares about the poor little curd slinger. I could kill you out here in this empty desert, and nobody would care. Nobody would even notice."
