Alistair scratched his head as he scanned one of the many paths in Hyrule Field. "Out of all the places to lose something, did it have to be here?" He asked quietly. He began to regret taking on the task of searching for someone's family heirloom.
It seems I've lost my pocket watch. It was a special item passed down through my family, and it's very dear to me. I was on my way to Castle Town to deliver a shipment of goods to my uncle's market when I must have lost it. You have to help me! I'll be forever in your debt!
He replayed the distraught words of the ditsy man that had placed him in this predicament. If he hadn't accepted, he could have just gone on his marry way, but it wasn't in Alistair's nature to try and help people. And now he was scanning the road between Kakariko Village and Hyrule Castle for a small, almost insignificant pocket watch. "Who knows what could have traveled down this path before I started looking. For all I know, a monster could have run off with it..." He mumbled, frustrated.

Sooooo, she was lost. Yup. She had wandered off a little too far from her companions and now she couldn't find them. But was she worried? Nope! Once she realized what she had gotten herself into, all she had said was, 'Whoopsies!' and decided to continue exploring. Isolde would find them eventually. Besides, she knew the general location of where they were headed. Or at least she thought so. Someone would come along eventually and she'd be able to ask them. That is, if she remembered to do that once she met someone new. It was already quite obvious she was easily distracted.
The careless frosted woman walked through Hyrule Field with an exaggerated strut. She had partially picked that up from Miff, but she let her arms swing freely and carelessly enough so the air of vanity was more akin to something silly. It wasn't something she'd be able to mimic, not with her maturity, or lack thereof.
Alistair would soon notice that the temperature was beginning to drop, especially since Isolde had noticed him and wasted no time to say hi and meet a new friend. "Hiya!" Isolde said smiling almost as loudly as she spoke.

Alistair nearly flipped forward, startled by the sound from behind. If he were a more experienced warrior, his first reaction would most likely have been to roll and grab his sword. But he merely climbed to his feet and turned around. "Um... Hello." He said, trying not to sound annoyed. It wasn't the goron he was facing that aggravated him, no. It was his search.
Soon enough, Alistair felt a change. He was getting... colder. Not that he minded it. He looked the stranger up and down a few times, gradually making the connection. Perhaps he would have noticed straight away that this girl was the source of the temperature change if he wasn't slightly preoccupied. None the less, he held his hand out. "Alistair." He said plainly, "And you are?"

"Hi!" She said, giggling after realizing she had already greeted him in the first place. Hmm, perhaps she could ask him if he knew the direction she needed to be going to find her friends. She really should find them eventually. Miff would probably leave her behind without thinking twice if she didn't act in a timely manner. Not that the thought ever occurred to her.
"Whatcha doin?" Isolde asked, sounding much like a five year old. Her hands were clasped behind her back and she leaned forward, towering over Alistair. He'd soon feel the strong effects of her cold aura. As usual, she was unaware of the uncomfortable temperature, and of his apparent annoyance.
(( So sorry for the late response! Weekend was so busy. :( ))

Alistair listened as the Goron greeted him again. Or was her name Hi.... He decided not to think about it. "I'm looking for something." He answered. "Is there any chance you stumbled across a pocket watch out here?" He asked. Maybe she found it, and I can get this job over with.
For a split second, Alistair shivered. He knew the source was this strange girl, but he didn't really mind. The day had been a little too hot anyways, and he decided not to bring it up.
(( Tis fine ))

"Hmmmmmmmmmm...." Isolde leaned backwards and tapped her finger against her chin. A pocket watch. She began to shake her head, no. "Nope! What's a pocket watch?" Her eyes began scanning the area. Maybe she'd be able to see it and help Alistair out. Not that she really could help much, after all, she had no idea what a pocket watch was. How was she going to be able to tell?
Isolde's eyes quickly snapped back to her new companion. "Oh! I'm Isolde, by the way. So what's it look like? Why are you looking for it?" She began into her signature endless questions, firing off one after the other before Alistair even had a chance to react.

'What's a pocket watch?' Alistair repeated the question in his head a few times. Hm... I thought I was sheltered. He took a moment to examine the girl. He didn't know much about Gorons, but now that he thought about it, this one was a rather unusual color. He scratched the back of his head, beginning to wonder if was a whole spectrum of Goron colors. The thought of a green Goron made him laugh for a second, but he quickly suppressed it.
"A pocket watch is a trinket used to tell time." Alistair held his hands up, making a small circle with his fingers. "The watch is about this size, and it's supposed to be silver, and attached to a chain. That's all I really know."

The pale blue Goron hummed to herself quite loudly as she conjured up an image of what she assumed would be a pocket watch. What she thought of wasn't quite there... Overactive imagination and whatnot. What she did think of was a pretty nifty contraption, though. Too bad it didn't exist, it'd be a whole lot cooler than a pocket watch. It should also be noted that Isolde had very little sense of what time was. She kinda just... went with stuff. She acknowledged soon, late, early, and long. Minutes and hours? Nonexistent.
"Why are you looking for it again? Did you lose it? That's not very smart. How'd you lose it if it has a chain? Wasn't it chained to you so it wouldn't get lost?" This whole situation was very strange to the woman. The people of Hyrule certainly were weird, and they kept getting weirder. Things could be so simple and easy! But it seemed they just failed to see things the right way. Oh well. She could teach them!

Alistair sighed. He didn't know who this girl was, other than her name, but he quickly got the impression that she was a bit ditsy. Which was perfectly fine, he thought she was extremely amusing, but the fact that he had to look for a watch rather than go on some adventure with this new person irritated him. But I said I would do it, and I refuse to go back on my word.
"I didn't lose it, I'm just helping someone find it." He finally replied. At least Isolde was brightening his mood a bit. "As for how he lost it, your guess is as good as mine." Perhaps if he knew the true capabilities of the Goron's imagination he wouldn't have said that.

Isolde clapped happily and quite enthusiastically. "My, that's so very nice of you! How about I help you out?" She beamed wondrously. The woman loved nothing more than helping out a new friend. Or a stranger. Or whoever, really. Enemies? Ha, she didn't have those. Well, maybe she did. She just didn't really notice, or acknowledge rudeness. Too oblivious, the girl was, much too oblivious. All a part of her charm.
"Silver and shiny and attached to a chain." She repeated this to herself multiple times so she'd remember. "Where have you looked?" However, she didn't really wait to give Alistair a chance to respond, as usual, and set off to scour the area as thoroughly as she could. "Silver and shiny and attached to a chain~!" She sang, adding a rhythm to the phrase.

"Your help would be much appreciated." Alistair answered. He knew that he needed to find the watch soon if he wanted to get a room at an inn before nightfall, and there's no way he was sleeping outside again. Hey, he might even split the reward with her. "I've only looked from K-" He cut himself off as Isolde pranced away to begin searching. She seems determined, I'll give her that. Soon after the Goron began looking, he did the same.
Dirt. Grass. More dirt. What in Hyrule is THAT?! More dirt... Alistair slowly sifted though the grass, hoping to find the pocket watch. There was still a lot more ground to cover, but he had high hopes now that he had someone to help him look. Occasionally, he looked over to Isolde to see if she made any progress.

The young woman had made very little progress, but that was only because the chances of finding said pocket watch in this location were pretty low. If they did, it would certainly take quite a while unless they were lucky. It was tough to say if Alistair was lucky to have Isolde helping. An extra pair of eyes she was, yes, but she also had quite a mouth on her. He was tolerating her much butter than most, though. Perhaps he would find her company lucky after all.
Isolde continued singing to herself as she searched. She was surprisingly thorough, and seemed quite determined to help out her new friend. Her aura, though, did put her at a bit of a disadvantage. Anything near her quickly turned to ice. In a way, it was good too, because it marked where she had looked temporarily. The disadvantage would be freezing the pocket watch should she be the one to find it. The damage her intense ice could possibly inflict probably wouldn't help with the reward very much.

Alistair watched as the grass around Isolde turned to ice. She would probably be an awesome teammate to have in a fight. I bet she could just freeze the enemy. He began thinking of an epic fight scene in his head as he searched. The two of them being surrounded by something fierce, like wolfos and darknuts. Then, bam! Isolde would shoot icicles from her fingertips to pierce the enemy. And pow! Alistair rolled around them and attacked them from behind while the onslaught of ice slowly froze them over. In the end, the duo would find a large sum of treasure, and split it fifty-fifty.
The boy shook his head as he realized his fantasies of heroism were distracting him. He moved to a new location and began searching again. As he kept looking, he looked over to Isolde. "Have you found anything yet?" He knew it was a dumb question. If she found the watch, she probably would have shouted or started singing, but he just wanted to spark up another conversation to pass the time.

Started singing something different more likely. She was singing on and off, switching between that and humming to herself. It was amazing how cheerful she could be in the most boring of situations, almost like she had a never-ending supply.
"Noooooooooo, not yet~!" Isolde replied, her voice still sing song-y. Well, that wasn't quite true. There were a bunch of interesting looking bugs she had found and almost decided to pocket to show Zafun and Miff later to ask what they were, but ended up not doing so. She rather they go free after they thawed out, which was nice of her, assuming they survived her intense frost. She looked to Alistair apologetically, but soon flashed him a smile as if to replenish his determination and continued to comb the area she was occupying. Not a moment later, her foot kicked something grey, but knocked it out of her view after it was coated in ice.

Alistair sighed. The search was taking much longer than he thought. At least he had someone to cheer him up, though. He decided that if he ever had a rag-tag team of adventurers, Isolde would definitely be in it. But before anything like that could happen, he had to find the watch. "Okay. Just tell me if you find anything~" He tried to sound energetic, but sifting through grass isn't really a hobby of his.
Soon enough, the need for small talk appeared. "So... What's your story? A Goron as unique as you has got to have some interesting experiences to share." Then again, was it still just small talk if he was genuinely curious?

"Yup yup~!" She agreed, her smile growing as she got back to work. Even though the work was tedious and proved to yield very little results so far, she still hadn't lost any of her enthusiasm. One might wonder where she kept it all....
"Me? Unique?" Isolde giggled. "I'm not very unique, there's a bunch of Goron like me across the ocean!" She informed him, quite matter-of-factually. "That's where I came from a little while ago. I wanted to see the rest of my people, but I haven't really gotten there yet." The girl frowned slightly, showing the first sign of disappointment she had shown during this whole ordeal. But it quickly disappeared and her face brightened up as she started to mention her two new companions. "One of them is the most powerful Deku ever! You wouldn't believe how strong he is! That's Miff, he promised to help me get strong like him. And then there's Zafun, he's Miff's personal minstrel, and he's pretty strong too. I think he looks kinda weird, but he's nice so it's ok!"
Isolde paused in her tracks, realizing yet again, that she should probably find them soon. "I kinda got separated from them, that's how I ended up here. But I'll find them after I help you find this watchpocket thing!" And with that, she was back to searching.

Alistair thought about the other type of Gorons Isolde had mentioned. He always thought of Gorons as the volcano type, but apparently he was wrong. Seeing a settlement of these "ice Gorons" would be cool ice cold even. Perhaps he should ask Isolde to take him there sometime. "Your friends sound rather interesting. I would love to meet them someday." He said, smiling. This "Miff" might be the most powerful Deku ever, but I bet Finn is stronger.
After he was certain the watch was nowhere near where he was searching, Alistair stood up and cracked his back. Shortly after a relieved sigh, he walked over to Isolde. As he approached the Goron, he noticed something near her. It didn't look like the frozen grass surrounding her. It was a small clump of ice, but what was in it? He crouched down and began examining it.

"I'm sure they'd love to meet you too!" She exclaimed, quite happily. Though, that might not exactly be the case. Miff wasn't terribly friendly and Zafun... well, she didn't really know Zafun that well yet, so that might not be an exaggeration. But it probably was.
She peered over at him as he crouched down. "Oooooh." She said, her breath creating a direct stream of air aimed at Alistair and the frozen chunk of ice. Her presence probably wasn't making his examination any easier, what with her keeping everything fairly chilled. It'd be much easier to find out what the heck the thing was if it had a chance to melt.

Alistair shivered when her breath reached him, but he quickly got over it. He stared at the chunk of ice in his gloved hand, twisting it every which way. Soon enough, he spoke up. "Hm... I think this might be it~" He said happily. Soon, this menial task would be complete and he could go adventuring, taking his new friend with him, perhaps. "We just need to wait until it thaws out a little bit; the ice is making it rather hard to tell."
