PERSONALITY,To interact with Gareth one would think him to be a pleasant and laid-back sort of man. He is easy to talk to and is extremely accepting of any and all cultures, even those that are normally conflicting with each other. Some, in time, even come to trust him. To do so would be a mistake.
Although Gareth projects a caring attitude and pretends to be interested in the troubles of others, he only does so in order to get close to them, to find a way to break through their trust and use that to get what he wants from them. Although there are times that he finds a person that he becomes protective of it is rare that he actually cares for the people that he meets.
APPEARANCE,Gareth stands just slightly below average size for a human with a build that, when he is wearing his usual attire, seems to be somewhat slender. However, should one see him without, they would notice that although he is somewhat thin, he is lean and fast.
His hair is an extremely light shade of blond and in most light it looks to actually be white. Normally his eyes are a clear and bright shade of blue but when he is wounded or heavily fatigued they begin to look something like a dark brown or reddish shade.
At least this is the appearance that he projects for all to see. One of Gareth's abilities allows him to take any appearance that he wishes so long as it is significantly close to that of a human. To this date, his true appearance has not been seen by anybody that still lives.
WEAPONS,Gareth carries with him a curved sword with a slightly jagged edge and a wooden shield. Whenever he is planning to travel he will also carry a longbow with him.
ITEMS,He normally carries a small assortment of trinkets and the likes with him in his bag.
ABILITIES,Minor Precognition: This ability gives Gareth the ability to see slightly into the future. While it is largely used outside of battle, in battle it allows him to dodge one incoming attack with a cooldown of five posts. [Player note: If/when I use this ability outside of battle I will be sure to obtain the permission of the person I am rp'ing with]
Lightning Manipulation: Gareth is able to cast forth electricity that does moderate damage. It has a cooldown of one post.
Minor Shape-changing: Gareth can change his appearance to anything human or human-like. (ie. Hylian, Gerudo) There is no cooldown although he is unable to use the ability while fighting due to needing full concentration to do it. [Player note: If I ever use the ability to copy the appearance of a character, I will first obtain permission of said character's player]

Human: Gain 1 ability slot that cannot be upgraded.
HISTORY,
Very little is known about the life of Gareth. He has never known his father although Gareth highly suspects that the man may not have been entirely human. When someone meets him, he will often tell them a bit about himself. The trouble with figuring out his history is that the story he tells to each person is never the same.
Gareth tends not to stay in one place for too long and is always moving to avoid the consequences of his actions, which include stealing, lying, cheating with married women and/or men, and general mayhem. He is sure that one day his actions will catch up with him, but he is also sure that it will not happen today, tomorrow, or any time in the near future. Due to his precognition he can normally tell when retribution is on the way and does what he can to avoid it.
There is one thing that does remain constant throughout his lies and his tales and that is that he has no mother or father. It is not that they do not live somewhere but that his mother, upon birthing the son of a demon, became horrified at the child and gave him away as soon as she could. Because of this, Gareth learned to fend for himself and himself only and while there are those that he does occasionally become attached to and protective of, those people are very few and far between.
All in all, Gareth is a scoundrel and a vagabond, a traveler and a thief. He will tell you what you want to hear and become your best friend before he steals your goods in your sleep and leaves you for another target.
