Despite it being the foot of the mountain, it was still ridiculously cold here. Perhaps not surprising, considering the sheer amount of snow swirling about the place, but that was besides the point. The poor, stupid man shivering at the start of the road didn't have anything but a basic shirt, pants, and lightweight boots on. The idiot was probably going to freeze to death out here, but judging by the grin on his face and the fire in his eyes, he'd die happy.
Well, if he finished what he came here to do, anyway. And he could only finish what he came here to do with the help of a couple of others, upon whom he was now waiting. It was a matter of utmost importance, and certainly not a job for the faint of heart.
The man only hoped that it wouldn't take too long. It was awfully cold out there.
notes: open to two people. since we're a bit short on time here, the rounds have to go rather quickly~ it probably won't be a long quest, so don't worry about being equipped. difficulty-wise, it's like a negative one star.

Why did people like the cold mountains so much? It was cold. The desert was nice and hot or Hyrule field. It was a nice, warm open area. Full of grass and not of snow. Snow was cold, and the wind that blew was cold too. Jin huddled beneath the large cloak of Wolfos fur as he made his way toward the area he had agreed to go.
Now you might be wondering why if he hated the cold, then why he ventured back to the mountain. For Jin the answer was always so very simple. Adventure. He read about this quest and the only thing he could think about afterward was that Adventure awaited. The man in the distance seemed to be ignorant about the cold temperatures though, making Jin blink a few times, his face wrapped up tight.
He stood a few feet from the man and waved, his hand popping out from beneath the cloak for a moment. "Hiya! I am here for the adventure."

[atrb=valign,top][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] "Now this is what I'm talkin' about!"
The boisterous voice of a young girl sounded in the snow horizon, donned in but a short-sleeved dress, as if she felt no cold whatsoever. She was tiny, and seemed but a small child--an entirely misleading appearance, for she was much older than that. The Kokiri approached the slowly-forming group with ease, feet shuffling in the snow, despite the fact that there were crystal-like wings formed upon her back.
Now coming to an abrupt stop just a few feet before the two males, and, standing straight, the blue-haired girl threw up an arm, fingers straight in salutations at her forehead to the strangers, a silly look of defiance in her eyes. In her free hand, she grasped an unusually coloured--and crescent-shaped--blade slung behind her back, also paired up with what appeared to be a thick, wooden blade.
"Reporting in for death and destruction! 'F it's too cold for you, get back in the kitchen! Ahaha! "
Honestly, she had not the slightest idea why she was here, but a job was a job, and fun was fun.

THE DELAY WAS BROUGHT ON BY MISS TOAST STUPIDLY MODIFYING THIS POST INSTEAD OF POSTING A NEW POST. BASICALLY, THE QUEST IS ABOUT A MAGICAL LEEK THAT THEY HAVE TO RETRIEVE AND BRING TO A MAGICAL PATCH OF DIRT BY LAKE HYLIA. THE END.
notes: blah.

Jin smiled briefly at the other person who had come to join the quest, only to be surprised that first he had to look down at her when she got closer. She was smaller then he was, but she seemed to be different from a hylian or human child. However, he just shrugged this off and turned to face the man when he began to talk.
Simply, he was confused as to how anything could really grow in this cold weather, but if it was magical, maybe that explained it. "Why would I joke around..." Jin said, slightly confused but still ready for adventure. "So we just gotta find this thing and bring it down the mountain? Sounds fun! So you are going to lead the way?" Jin asked with a smile on his face.

[atrb=valign,top][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] The blue-haired girl let out a small snicker as the man named Alfred told the other not to 'joke around'. If anything, it was she that should have been told thus, not him. At the mention of life and death, though, her attention had been caught, before she would even decide to crack a joke.
"Magical leek?" The Kokiri gaped at first, like a logical person who could clearly see that such an item was an absurdity. However, Fenris wasn't actually a logical person, and in mere seconds, the gape changed form to that of an excited squeeing.
"Magical leek!" She repeated herself with joy. Magical leeks, magical dirt, saving the world! Farming was a cool thing after all (not that she knew how to farm)! A grin emblazoned on her face, the girl threw a fist in the air, too hyped up to care to be referred to as a 'kiddie'. "Let's get this party started, then~"
What could possibly be so hard about finding a leek in a winter wonderland?

"ALRIGHT THEN," the man roared, "LET'S GO!"
Alfred's cheerful charge up the road was quickly halted by his crashing into a hidden pit placed for no good reason in the middle of the road, not to mention the arrival of two white wolfos. The beasts proceeded to snarl at the people remaining above ground, their bloodied teeth a flash of red against white as growled and snapped. The creatures looked desperately hungry, judging by their matted coats and skin-and-bones appearance. They were fierce and willing to eat just about anything, including man and little girl.
"... uh, I'll just wait down here," Alfred called, scratching his head. "Y'all can go 'bout yer business like I'm not even here."
notes: wolfos a: okay health, snarling at Jin Reno. wolfos b: okay health, snapping at Fenris Vanagandr.
BATTLE STYLE? Casual.

Jin rubbed his head when the man leading them vanished suddenly in the road. Of course, it too Jin a moment to realize that the guide didn't vanish, but rather instead simply fell into a hole in the path. "Whoa! Where did that hole come from?" Jin asked, walking up to the edge of it, though taking a step back when the two wolfos appeared a moment later.
The sudden arrival of the monsters caused him to take a step back out of surprise, but after the initial shock wore off, Jin simply stood in place as he faced the two beasts. From the looks of things, he had one to take care of and the small girl also had one to take care off. Jin had a feeling that she would be able to handle herself, and right now he had to concentrate on his own trouble.
"I suggest that you back off little wolfie... I don't want to have to kill you, but I will if I need to." Jin said, moving the cloak out of the way, his bucklers ready and his armor covering his arms. His fingers were sharp like claws and his arms where protected fully. He was ready to lash back at the creature the moment it launched at him.

[atrb=valign,top][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true] The kokiri would be quick to follow in suit, but not before the man suddenly disappeared from her line of sight. SORCERY!? Her gaze had jumped around the area with a start, until she finally took notice of the pit trap that had manifested in front of the trio, and the wolfos that had appeared, and, unlike his companion, she stood her ground in defiance. "Ohohoho! You dare impede us on our journey to save the world, foul beasts!!" She shouted over the breeze, her grip on her weapons tight, poised for a strike, or perhaps a defensive maneuver. "Back in my day, they called me the wolf slayer!" She lied. Supposedly.
Her gaze did not shift as she called to the man in the hole. "Oi, better hurry on up when you can, or you'll miss all the fun!" To be honest, she didn't think he would be able to get up on his own. Perhaps it was just that air he gave off, but whatever. If it came down to it, she could always try and fly him out. After this was over, of course. She stuck her tongue out to the wolfos.
recap! fenris lies in wait.
