The soft ripples within the Fishing Hole was a rather soothing tune towards the cat girl's sharp ears. It reminded her of the peaceful creeks that streamed through the forest of her home. Although she loved to travel everywhere and anywhere, the adorable kitty minish knew where her heart belonged to, if one were to go by that saying 'home is where the heart is'. Seyka's magenta eyes flickered brightly as she took in the scenery right in front of her. It was just as green and lush as the Minish Forest. A touch she instantly grew quite fond of.
She was taken back at first on the pond when she took a glance at it. Was it really that green? She had to take look up close to realize that it was actually the reflection of the moss, and trees that gave it a green color. The water itself was pretty crystal clear, and there were fishies swimming around in it too~! Apart of her was tempted to go fishing for snack, but the way the owner was looking at her brought a bit of hesitation.
This was a business for the sport of fishing - not to pick out a meal. Hena warned the cat girl if she tried any funny business then she'd be kicked out in a heart beat. Seyka turned her back to the woman and pouted... there came the downfalls of being a feline in certain places. This happened to be one of them~
Though she didn't brood for long, and quickly scampered on over the edge of the pond. Being up close, she could see her own reflection within the pool, the light of the sun glistening off the surface of the clear pool. It was almost as if the pond was glittering a surrendering tranquility. However something caught Seyka's attention within the depths of the pond. Something shiny shot off a sparkle from the sun's light for a moment.
"What was that?" she mewed to herself, leaning closer, and closer to the edge as much as she could without tipping over.
The girl was just way too easy for set ups~

A wonderful day in Hyrule.
Aether found himself at the fishing hole. He never really came here, as he was often too busy in Oceania to take a break. But he figured the world would survive for a few days without him, and he hoped that he wouldn't have much chaos to return to. Until then, he would take a rare trip to the mainland and just enjoy himself. He hadn't been back here in a couple of years after all. Maybe once this was all over, he could end up visiting the mainland more often, once he had gotten his job done and everything.
For now though, he couldn't help but just keep an eye on the kitty minish that had been observing the pond for some reason. Why she was doing it, he wasn't really sure. Perhaps she just got caught up in her own reflection for some reason? Apparently her presence had put the owner on edge, as he could spot the girl watching the kitty from her window, as if trying to catch her red handed in the act of stealing one of her fishies.
Aether figured he might as well try and keep the kitty from being yelled at. Approaching Seyka from behind, he leaned down, and gently poked the young girl on her back. "Excuse me, but what are you looking for?"

Sey Sey squinted her magenta eyes at the sight of the shiny. It was far too deep into the pond for her see! Let alone reach out and grasp it~ A small pout formed upon her slender lips not pleased. She really wanted that shiny thing. Shiny things were a very good thing to distract the kitty minish, especially keeping her focus on the fish. Anything that sparkled in the light of the sun for that matter was a very good thing to keep Seyka's attention. What the heck was it?!
She was so caught up in trying to figure out what the shiny was that she did not pick on the male who approached her.
Thus reacted accordingly.
"KYAAAAAAAAH!" she spazzed out. She flailed forward placing too much weight from sheer surprise, and tipped herself over. Next thing she knew, she felt pond water going up her nose, and she was getting soaked from head to toe. Water! The most loathed thing in the entire existence for a feline. Seyka apparently had a warrant for getting flung into bodies of water as of lately...
Just as soon as she plummeted into the pond, she flew right out, clinging onto the edge, before squirming up pathetically back onto the grass. Her clothes, her fur on her tail, and ears were drenched to the bone. Pond water dripped off of her frame as she took in what had just happened. "Muuuurrr..." she mewed. She turned her magenta eyes back over to the man who scared her before pouting at him, whining, "That wasn't very nice!"
Her expression quickly changed from a sour puss to a blank stare. Seyka took a split second to process the question he asked her earlier. What was she looking for? She blinked. Oh yeah! That's right~ Shiny! She pointed to the bottom of the pool. "There's something shiny in the pond," she explained, lowering her head slightly, flashing her adorable magenta eyes, "... I want it."
Her attention span could not, and would not allow her to stay angry~

Aether calmly watched as the young cat girl fell into the pond, something that he knew that the kitty would end up hating. And he was right, almost immediately after falling in, she flew right out of the water and back onto the soft grass. Watching her squirm somewhat as he realized just how drenched she was. He hoped she wouldn't catch a cold of sorts! He started to approach to at lest help her up, but he stopped for a moment when she had said that it wasn't very nice of him to do that. "Wasn't very... I... what?" He was... confused. He wasn't really sure just how this was even his fault in the first place.
However, just as quickly as she blamed him, she seemed to forget. Instead pointing out that there was something shiny at the bottom of the pond. Right after, as if trying to goad him into getting it for her, she flashed her kitty eyes at the poor guy. Immediately, a desire to just pet her washed over him. Resisting the gaze as best he could, Aether moved over to the pond before peering in the startlingly clear waters. He noticed a quick glint of... something. That cat minish must've been onto something.
Rising back to his feet, he looked at the kitty minish. They were at a fishing hole, so why wasn't she fishing? Or at least trying to bring the thing in with a rod. "Why not get a rod and try to fish it out?" He inquired. He wondered if she had even thought of that.
Perhaps he could at least try to help her a little.

There was nothing cute about a wet cat from head to toe, and in this case, Seyka couldn't agree more with it. Being on all fours, she closed her eyes for a moment before shaking off the access water clinging onto her violently. Droplets sprayed out everywhere, and in Aether's direction. For the most part, it was an effective way to rid of herself of the pesky water, but for the rest that still left her damp, she'd have to let the sun dry her off. As a result of her shaking, the fur on her ears, and tail instantly poof'd up in all sorts of a wild mess. She pouted softly at the thought of shower hair. Note cute at all~
The cat girl was so worked up over going through the motions of being upset then totally distracted with the shiny that it wasn't until now that she actually noticed the young man before her. Her magenta eyes flickered with extreme interest already liking his style~ Not only that, a mild scent of sea salt clung onto his form, something she's never got an actual whiff of up until now. He was from the coastal region of Hyrule. How cool! Though it should have been obvious from the get go, what with him wearing a flamboyant bandana with a rather gypsy-esque flair adorn on it. It took a lot of resisting on Sey Sey's part not to paw at the beads.
She blinked. That was a smart idea! She smacked her forehead slightly before flashing a sheepish grin on over to Aether. "Good idea~!" she said bubbly. "I'll go ask Hena for.... ACK!"
Up on her feet, she was about to scamper on over to the desk to ask Hena for a rod. However she didn't get very far before her lithe little frame found it's way back onto the grass. The clumsy little cat tripped over something underneath her feet, gazing at the grass dizzily for a moment, or two. She could swear she saw fishes swimming around her for a second~ When she came to, she inspected what caused her to trip, and came to realizing it was a long rod, with fish line attached to one end. The handle of the tool held text on it, inscribed: Property of Hena's Fishing Hole. Clumsy cat was clumsy~
"Oh yeah..." she said bashfully, "Already rented one."
Scrambling up onto her feet again, she picked up the rod, before turning back over to Aether. Her bashful nature was quickly overturned with a happy go lucky smile. It struck her that she didn't know who he was. Might as well get that out of the way! "Who might you be?" she asked innocently curious, "My name's Seyka, but you can call me Sey Sey~"

An eyebrow was raised when the cat dried herself off by shaking herself, resulting in a rather puffed up look thanks to her fur. He had to admit, the picture of it all was actually... really adorable. Aether couldn't help but raise an eyebrow thogh at the kitty's well... clumsiness. He crossed his arms as the minish tripped over the fishing pole that she had apparently forgotten she rented. He could tell that this girl might have had her head in the clouds a bit, or she was just a little bit of an airhead. Either way, it wasn't a problem; she was adorable.
Though he was glad he had a name now; Seyka. But Sey Sey did sound a lot cuter, and it did roll off the tongue better. As for his name though, that wasn't a problem. He gave her a bit of a smile. "You can call me Aether." He introduced himself.
Though, there was one thing that he had been wondering about, and seeing as Seyka had forgotten about it, he now had his doubts. He examined the pole the kitty was holding, ready to poise a question that he hoped he wouldn't get scratched for. "Do... you know how to use that pole?" he asked. Having lived on the coast, he himself knew how to fish, so if it came down to it, he could at least take a crack at fishing out the object of her desires himself.

Seyka was used to being stared at to be quite honest. She knew she wasn't quite fitting the mold of the traits she adorns, but she came to accepting that she wasn't as graceful or elegant on her feet like most cats are. She's improving, and all~ There was always room for improvement. Though that wasn't the reason behind people staring. Seyka knew she grabbed attention because she was cute. It didn't help that her clumsiness contributed to her charm.
The only problem though was whether or not people truly saw her as cute or did they truly see her as a hopeless hack? A pretty face was always good to have, but did they really see Seyka? Or just another little cutie?
She didn't dwell on such thoughts for long. She had a name - a name that as unique as the young man before her. Her smile came back as she nodded her head, repeating his name a few times in her head. So as she would not forget it anytime soon. "Nice to meet you, Aether~!"
Magenta eyes flickered as he raised the question up. She gave him an owlish stare for a second before turning her attention back over to the fishing pole. She processed what he initially was asking, and pouted at Aether. "Of course!" she retorted, readying the line. With a good swing, she aimed towards the area where the shiny was, and...
And tossed the pole into the water.
"... I call honest mistake."

Aether could only blink. For being a cat, she really was a bit of a klutz, wasn't she? He'd never say it, but he was fighting back the urge to laugh at her. Poor girl probably got made fun of enough as it was, and he really didn't want to have to add to that. So to be polite, he would refrain from laughing... while she was closeby. He had to admit, there was a real chance that once she was out of earshot, he might have a few chuckles.
He took a few steps towards the edge of the pond and peered down, seeing the pole sinking to the bottom of the pond. This Hena girl probably wouldn't be happy. The poor kitty might get scolded if the owner knew what was going on. But they couldn't fish the thing out without a pole. Then again, they couldn't really go alert the owner as to what was going on, otherwise as stated before, she would probably get mad.
Aether turned to Seyka, genuinely curious about this girl. Why would a kitty be so clumsy? And why was she so fascinated with the shiny little trinket down at the bottom? Now that she had lost the rod, he wasn't sure how she was going to get it. "Erm, do you happen to have a plan B?" He looked at the cat minish, hoping that she did at least have something up her sleeve. Least they couldn't get in trouble with Hena if she had one.

She poked her two index fingers together a couple of times. Her magenta eyes lowered along with her feline ears as she silently pitied herself for a moment or two. He was totally laughing at her. She knew Aether was laughing at her clumsy nature, but he wouldn't openly laugh out loud which made it ten times worse on her part. Her porcelain cheeks were quickly turning to many shades of a cherry. She wanted to shrink size, and hide herself within the grass never show her face in front of the young man ever again. Aether got a personal viewing on the the kitty girl's outrageous contradiction of her very nature. She felt like her head would explode in embarrassment at any given moment.
Seyka felt like an idiot.
What am I going to do, she mewed mentally. Hena already has it in for me, but if she finds out I threw her rod in the pond, I'll be kicked out of here for good. She scratched the fur behind her ears if only to help ease her mind by relief an itch. Her magenta eyes peered into the clear waters of the pond finding the rod at the bottom. It wasn't that deep, but she didn't want to take another dip in the pond. Some cat like traits did not die in her.
She perked up her kitty cat ears when she heard Aether ask if she had an alternate plan. She tapped her index finger onto her lower lip thinking of some way to get herself out of this predicament. There was no way in hell she was going to dive into the pond to get it back again. So that was out of the question~ It wasn't deep but it was certainly out of arm's reach for her to stick her hand in it and grab it. Even that would look suspicious if Hena were to come out and see her.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed bubbles babbling up to the surface of the pond, the fishies swimming around without a care in the world.
"I got it!" she mewed with mirth clapping her hands together.
Extending her hand out towards the body of water, a ball of bright light appeared within her palm as she aimed the sphere of energy straight at the rod at the bottom. With a quick burst of energy, the light disappeared, only to reappear within the water, causing a gold color to arise in the pond. A sphere of golden light surrounded the rod as Seyka tried to get the measure of the size right. Before she knew it, it began to float up to the top, bringing the rod she threw into the lake back to the surface. With a wiggle of her finger, she pulled the sphere to the edge where she picked up the rod by the handle. By doing so, the sphere dispersed completely, and she had the fishing rod back again. Barrier magic was quite handy in more than one way~
"Heke?" she squeaked.
She noticed the line was still in the water, and apparently snagged onto something. Tilting her head to the side, she took the line with her other hand, and gave it a small tug. It was persistent, and didn't budge. She turned back to Aether fluttering her lashes.
"Ummm... Help?" she pleaded not wanting to repeat the same mistake she made earlier. "Please~"

Peering once again into the pond, he noticed a ball of light pushing the rod up to the surface. Was that Seyka's doing? He had to admit, for such a klutzy kitty, he really didn't expect Seyka to have some magic up her sleeve. Curiously, he watched as she used her magic to retrieve the rod. However, his subtle surprise stopped when it turned out she snagged and wouldn't be able to get the rod completely out of the water. In all honesty, he probably could've seen this coming.
And then Sey Sey asked for his help, in arguably one of the most heart melting ways possible. He had to admit, the kitty was just way too cute for her own good. He actually started to worry about her. Someone as adorable as her? Someone would no doubt eventually try to steal her. But for now, he could help her, he had no reason not to. Not to mention she was just so adorable.
Moving over, he wrapped his arms around Seyka's waist and started to pull. He wondered just what she could have gotten snagged on, as he saw no trees. Perhaps some garbage? But there wasn't any kind of garbage that could snag a line that a person couldn't at least free. ... Maybe it was a body? Maybe some sort of crime syndicate had been dumping bodies here and she had just snagged one of them? Oh, he hoped not. He wasn't sure exactly how someone like Seyka would be able to handle reeling in a dead, rotting corpse. Nevertheless, he kept on tugging.

"Eh?!" she mewed. She bit her lip realizing that she let that slip from her mouth as she perked up her kitty cat ears. There was no subtlety when it came to reading Sey Sey. The poor girl was an open book down to a tee. Her porcelain cheeks turned red noticing how close Aether got, and then wrapped his arms around her petite waist. She was mentally beating herself up realizing he was doing this because she asked him in the first place to help her. Bad Sey Sey! Her mind wandered off in la la land a little longer than it should, and it might've been awkward having him hold her like that.
Shaking her head slightly, she returned her focus back onto her snagged line. Sey Sey huffed as she tugged as hard as her small hands could manage wondering what could have snagged the line. The little kitty growled slightly before planting her feet down securely on the grass before giving it one big pull. Whatever had decide to catch the line was defeated, and soon the hook at the end of line came out of the water. It did not leave the pond empty handed either~
Seyka gasped as magenta eyes found themselves fixated a sparkling polished silver bell dangling on the hook of the fishing pole. She blinked a couple times absentmindedly before tilting her head to the side. The cat girl looked back over to the water for a brief second, the shiny in the water was gone, meaning that the bell was the thing she wanted.
She released one of her hands from the pole and reached out... and batted the bell with her little paw. There was sweet little jingle that escaped from bell as it bounced around from her little action. A giant smile was found plastered on her face before she flashed her new found bright smile back up to her helping hand. "Lookie lookie! It's a bell, Aether!" she squeaked ecstatically; like a child whose had too much sugar in their system.
The sad thing is that she's naturally a hyper little fluffball~! Her tail swayed back and forth, back and forth excitedly, and she completely forgotten that his hands were still on her. Her attention was so caught onto the silver bell. "Listen~! It's looks and sounds so pretty!" she squee'd. Her voice raised a couple octaves higher to accent the overdose of ridiculous happiness the Epidemically Adorable feline was exposed to.

A mental note of success! The two had managed to get the hook freed from what was snagging it and the prize out of the water. A silver bell shined, and the man from the coast glanced at it, only to be even more surprised by Seyka's reaction. He wasn't surprised that she liked it, but he was surprised that she just jumped on it. His arms released her as she had her victory moment. But, he kept in mind that she was a cat, which did give him some ideas. Maybe... yes, he had an idea, he could do something with that bell. Without warning, Aether snatched the little silver bell from Seyka's hand, and immediately pulled out a soft purple cloth, he had something planned for her. With a bit of handy work, Aether had no trouble wrapping the cloth and looping it through the bell as a way of fastening it. From there, it was just a simple matter of attaching it to the Sey, wrapping it around her neck to act as a collar, as a nice little gift of sorts, hoping she'd like it. Aether placed his chin on his hand, as if admiring his work. "There we go. It looks rather cute on you, like you could be my house cat~" He teased the kitty minish a bit. He was polite, but that didn't mean he couldn't tease her just a little~

Easily amused didn't even begin to cover the description required to explain the cat girl's reaction. By the power of teamwork, they have overcome the obstacle of releasing the hook snagged, and come out triumphant in retrieving the shiny from the bottom of the lake. Yeah, Seyka totally went there~ Seriously though, she was grateful for Aether's help. If he wasn't there she'd probably be in a world full of trouble, or probably be banned from ever coming back to the fishing hole ever again. Though that didn't seem to be the case, and she was super duper happy! That was all that mattered, right? Right~
Moving on! She blinked a couple times absentmindedly when Aether took the bell form her hands. What was he up to? Her kitty tail swished to and fro with anxious curiosity, especially when he pulled out a purple cloth. What was he going to do? She was excited~! Her magenta eyes flickered brightly when he turned over to Sey Sey, and she noticed that he fastened the cloth into a collar of sorts. Her dark kitty cat ears perked up slightly when he wrapped it snugly around her neck before admiring his own craftsmanship.
Eagerly, she turned over to see her reflection cast within the pond, noticing how the bell gleamed off the purple handmade collar. Every time she gestured her head slightly, she noticed it jingled softly, and it amused her so. Sey Sey quickly went up to Aether, and embraced him. Her lithe little arms having to reach up to wrap her arms around his neck, giving him a big hug. She was about to say something along the lines on how much she adored it, but she was cut off when he made that house cat remark. Her porcelain cheeks quickly turned red, and her lips pursed into a pout. "I'll have you know I'm a lioness!" she growled. Oh, how easily excitable the poor girl was. The blush stained her cheeks softly of her flustered attitude taking form.
With a giant huff, she picked up the fishing pole, and turned her back towards Aether. She began walking away, but something seemed a bit off. Was it exceptionally warm today? Seyka didn't notice it up until now, but she felt beads of sweat forming upon her temples. She didn't think it was that big of a deal at first, and just went on her merry little way. After returning the pole back to Hena, she turned back over to Aether, and blew a raspberry at him before walking out of the Fishing Hole.

Aether froze in place as Seyka wrapped her arms around his neck. To be honest, he hadn't really done anything like this before. A slight red tinge appeared on his face, embarrassed by the fact an adorable little kitty was hugging him right now. He didn't consider it a bad thing, in fact, he had to admit that he kind of liked it. But, he was no casanova, so something like this would easily throw him for a loop. Especially if it was coming from an adorable feline minish. However, something he said must have set her off. Seyka pulled away and pouted, proudly declaring that she was a lioness. With that, she returned the pole and practically stormed off. Aether blinked, clearly confused with what had just transpired. Apparently she didn't like being called a housecat? He wasn't sure what to make of it. "Lioness?" Aether thought, his body momentarily frozen from what had happened. To be blunt, Seyka did not seem like a lioness. She seemed more like a domesticated housecat. Definitely a lot cuter than an actual lion too. Quietly, he started to move as well, aiming to perhaps follow her a bit.
