The Undertaker
RACE,Though in his past life, he was Hylian, he is now a Poe.
GENDER,Male
BATTLE ROLE,His deadly style combines illusions and grim status effects to wear his enemies down to nothing. He excels at close combat however, though considering he actually can't come in contact with anything that's sort of an issue in itself, and is especially talented in pole arm mastery, making him great for Melee DPS if he could actually touch it.
BATTLE STYLE,Casual, Story and LS, considering he’s a Leader I can’t disallow him from plots if they have this battle style.
AGE,About sixty-nine, and yes he’s quite proud of his current age.
ALLIANCE,With the dead of course, Nex is a strange being. He only believes in controlling the balance of death and all that revolves around it. As Death, he doesn’t like to be cheated, and he likes to play games with lives as well. In some ways he is Neutrally Evil, because in the event of good conquering evil or evil conquering good, it doesn’t matter, the balance of death must be appropriate for both, even if it means the end of the world in itself.
As you may know, Nex is the Undertaker, the Leader of the Dreadnaughts, they watch over the dead and establish balance between the world of the living and the fallen.
PERSONALITY,Diligent: He loves his job, going around grabbing folks and locking ‘em into the depths of the netherrealm and such. Nex is very diligent, internally and outwardly. He’s actually a very hard working fellow, and when a goal is set in front of him, he will make sure it’s done –even when it seems impossible or impractical for that matter. Sometimes it’s a little crazy how he might go through with it, but in the end he’ll find a way.
Insane: Yeah, he’s off, really off, he smiles in front of crying souls, he laughs at dying civilizations, he takes his time in locking you in his dreaded Casket Atamosk and he has nothing against doing it. He’s always smiling, a large creepy smile that makes children cry and people shiver. He believes that taking care of the world of the dead revolves in happy smiles; go get ‘em attitudes, and nothing less than wave and goodbye.
Playful: He might be a little too playful, as sometimes it gets in the way of his diligence, when it comes to his job he loves playing around with the souls of the dead. Though it’s his job to lead them back and forth, he gets a little to playful and tries to help them in the ways that simply aren’t healthy. But he is a fun person to be around, if you get past his insanity, and in some ways and interesting friend for parties- though bringing Death to a party might not be such a good idea.
Stubborn: Seriously, he never accepts being wrong. Sometimes it’s his pride, others he feels he has to be careful. This is mostly because he feels his job is too important to allow others ideals about the realm of Death. Though, at first it was merely stubbornness about his job- but soon it grew to a stubbornness of the world around him. He can be swayed, but it takes a bit more effort than it really should. Thankfully, he can grow to listen more to others, but it takes trust.
Optimistic: Don’t be sad about dying! For it is only an illusion, death is next step to life, and like any step- it can be taken backwards as well. He tries his best to be optimistic even about horrible bloody situations that are just too horrible for words. He tends to only look at the goods of things, and when thinking of the bad he simply tosses them away. To him, death is beautiful, and so is the world and its balances around it. He’s a rather uplifted guy, despite his insanity.
Self-Centered: Despite that, he can be rather self-centered, he tends to only think of what’s best for himself and the Doomed, than what’s best for the people who are being sent to it and so forth. He’s only doing what he feels is right- but sometimes it feels more like he’s doing it for himself as well. Why spare the life of a child when it can throw the very balance of the world off course? And why feel love and generosity when you’re dead and it’ll only hurt you? A sad way of thinking, but necessary.
Sincere: Truthful and passionate of the truth, he will make sure you find your way in the times you are lost. He is still kind somewhat and though in some ways he may be evil- his evilness only extends to his job, which is why he’s more neutral than anything. Madness may be in his mind, but he is still one to show truth and sincerity when it is needed- which happens a lot actually. Of course, this isn’t when he’s being an annoying bastard about everything.
Trivial: Okay, so he’s truthful, but he dances around the truth, a lot. You see this is the thing that makes him annoying, he never says anything directly, but more or less in small statements that leads to what he means. He might be telling you a way to beat an enemy, but he won’t tell you directly, he’ll just dance around the point until you finally get it. He’s humorous however while he does, it and combined with that mad smile, he’s almost like a madhatter~
Unpretentious: Luckily being Death hasn’t really gotten to the guy’s head. He’s actually very humble when it comes to his job, and sees himself with a very important task that doesn’t put him above any other. He rarely ever boast, unless as a playful gesture, and he is always one to point out someone’s good perks and compliment them on it as well. He’s actually rather sensitive about being Mr. Deathly Overseer and has a passionate outlook about his occupations.
Unfeeling: Now, he is technically Death, and he’s seen some rather scary things in his life, which has sort of left him unfeeling for other people and their situations, if you told him you were an orphan, had no mother or father and watched all your brothers and sisters die before you, he probably would joke about it. He can be feeling but it takes a bit of pummeling in the face for him to finally understand you actually feel bad about something.
APPEARANCE,Explaining him physically is simple, he’s a rather old Poe and though he does have pale ghostly appearance, he seems to retain the look of a Hylian from his past life- and is inevitably locked to a certain appearance thanks to it. His appearance is rather monotonous color-wise as their isn’t much brightness left in him and that shows with his odd appearance. He carries white hair, his flesh almost reaching the same hue. Though rarely ever seen his eyes give a red ominous glow emanating from their center, the sclera reduced to black and the pupils seemingly endless when it comes to their visage. His face is plastered with stitches running above his nose to his cheek, you can actually say they spread through his entire body, they are actually his wounds before dying.
As for his attire, he has two, the first is nothing short but SEXY, he wears this on certain occasions sporting the amazingly business-orientated design. Its like a trench coat, and spans around his waist and body, the colors ebony- Victorian almost, the Glasses he wears covered with a white end to disallow seeing at them directly. He even has something close to a tie and such to go with it. Underneath are briefs, tight and amply curled under curvy boots, which are gothic and steel-toed as well. His upper chest has a white tunic of forms, that hidden by the turncoat, it is rather simple and actually rather fitting when taken off. His fingernails are long and painted black, though in this outfit are commonly covered by gloves, giving them a rather grim and sinister appearance.
His second outfit is more or less to represent who he is, THE UNDERTAKER. It’s almost a play on what the Grim Reaper wears, a spanning cloak that rotates around his body, the sleeves long enough to hang over the hands for a couple strokes. a black sash runs from his waist to his shoulder. When the cloak is opened, it reveals armor like bands running through it, and the arms are covered with a sleek wrist-long sleeves. Pants, black, covered by high rising bandaged leather armor, coiling into curvy shoes that fit the outfit once more. Instead of wearing glasses to cover his face, he now wears a top hate, though it seems in bad shape and has a long coil-like ribbon falling to the earth. At his waist hangs golden lockets with family and important people on them.
WEAPONS,Surburace: is a Scythe, like any deathly overseer should be using. Its about the height of a human actually, the inner core steal, covered with bone meld that surrounds the staff, the blade itself is made of an oddly silver metal that coils to about five feet. The tip is embraced with a skull making it rather ordinate, but it is actually still rather dangerous. Considering however, its spectral and also in some ways his lamp, he can’t use it on an actual person without them being in the spirit world.
Atomosk: Is something that will probably make you say da fawk,’ Atomosk is a Casket, yep, a black shiny wooden casket, with a large Triforce symbol at its top, carrying what looks like a blade striking through its center. Atomosk isn’t exactly useful when it comes to attacking directly, but it has a mystical power that makes it the first of Nex’s dangerous abilities. Atomosk is made of a light wood, and weighs about 90-pounds all together, meaning it can be held, but with some strength. However, it is very durable thanks to some of the steel coiling inside it:
Doomsiren: Is a terrible, but amazing ability. You see, when you open the Atomosk, it actually opens a gateway between the afterlife and the living realm. Of course, the afterlife tends to have certain effects on the living soul, which is where the mystical powers of this casket come into place. When activated, the Doomsiren is heard; a loud shriek mixed with horrible moans and cries, a powerful green musk and white eerie beings emanate from the center, begging for release, or begging for some to join them. The aura it releases and spreads for about seven feet, and it causes strange things to happen to the people are within it.- If you are a Poe, or undead, or can have a spiritual connection with the afterlife in any form, you are suddenly boosted of your original power, you feel stronger, faster and your body regenerates small wounds rather quickly –as in small lacerations and bruises- making you more effective, you also gain the ability to be tangible with living objects, however this also means you can be struck as well.
- If you are just a normal, not undead or not-a-poe person, you suddenly start to feel fatigued and drained in the presence of the casket. You move somewhat slower, feel somewhat weaker however your regenerative abilities are not effected.
In order to activate Doomsiren, Nex must place it bottom first into the floor, in a standing position, and then open either both the doors, or the top half. It will remain active until it is either knocked down, or five-post past, where the ability suddenly fades and the doors slam themselves shut. Upon disabling the ability, the Doomsiren can only be used twice per thread and has a five-post cooldown. An issue with this ability is that it cannot differ friend from foe, its effects stand no matter who he is paired with.
ITEMS,Mementos: Small ornate lockets with pictures of his family and teachers and such inside. They hang on his waist.
ABILITIES,Doomgaze: that’s right, another name that starts with doom, and it definitely isn’t an ability you want to mess with. Another status effect ability actually, that revolves around the usually hidden eyes of Nex, empowered by the spirit, his eyes gave gained a absolutely mind-shattering ability, when he actually reveals them, it emulates a wave of energy at the opponent, in order for this ability to work, they have to be looking directly at his eyes. When you do, you suddenly feel sick, nauseous and tired, and you even began to see things, what looks like black creatures crawling after you. You can still see Mr. Nex, however, you’re definitely not going to be as effective as you like. This ability has two problems however, it is a team-hit ability, if allies are looking at him while he uses this, they too are effected. The second problem is that of course, you have to be looking DIRECTLY into his eyes, not barely, not his cheek, HIS EYES. After initiating the ability, it’s too painful for him to keep his eyes out twenty-four/seven, so its activate, and then six post cooldown. The effect of the spell last for 3 post.
Doomsyphon: LEADER ABILITY: So this works a bit differently than all his other doombilities. First off, his hand begins to glow, a shade of blue flames that is eerie and cold to the touch, this flame is actually part of a siphoning essence within himself. When it comes in contact with the living – meaning it doesn’t work on Poes, undead or anything of the sort- the ability however is dangerous against living creatures. When he touches them, it begins to absorb some of their spiritual energy, at this level, it is never enough to actually kill the person, even if he’s held it there for a full thread, it won’t kill you, but you’d feel very weak. However, what happens to the energy that Mr. Nex saps out of you? Well, he can save it, and when he is wounded, can use it to heal small wounds of his own. Doomsyphon last for three turns upon activating, absorbing only enough to heal small wounds, which would leave others feeling just a little weak. It has a five post cooldown that starts after the effects have ended.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Spectral Energy
A Poe's phantom body is made of a special kind of energy unmatched in any Realm, unusual to all others. They cannot be touched by physical objects and can only be affected by magical power, which can kill even them. Due to this, they have adapted and gained numerous powers specific to only them, all designed to help them stay alive, what little they are.
When a Character dies, their Racial Abilities are replaced by these.
Phantasm: A constant passive ability, no Poe can be touched by a solid non-magical object, but neither can they touch them as well.
Energy Blast: The Poe can fire off a sphere of pure energy, capable of dealing moderate damage if it hits an opponent. Two post Cooldown.
Energy Drain: The Poe's body becomes completely fluid energy, capable of absorbing a single magical attack used against them and healing a moderate portion of their health regardless of how strong the attack was. Six Post Cooldown.
Invisibility: The Poe temporarily turns completely invisible, meaning the enemy cannot target them in the next turn; if they find themselves in an area-of-effect attack, they are still vulnerable, however. Only lasts for two turns, and has a cooldown of six posts.
Scream: A screeching sound wave that disorients all nearby enemies for one turn, preventing them from being able to attack, but does allow them to defend. Usable once every six posts, but is only only available to characters that start out as Poes.
HISTORY,
Many years ago, their lived a man and his wife in the city of Hyrule. They were well earned, in love and living a life of perfection and solace. The man was Daedalus, while the wife was Nymphora. Life for the two seemed happy, but it wasn’t without a bit of dishonesty. For Daedalus had a horrible secret, one that would come to kill him in the end. It was a mystery to how he made so much money, how he found himself as rich as a nobleman, but what noone knew was that he was apart of a Black Market, an organization that sells people and lives to the highest bitter. He had ties with dark people, lines with shadows that were considered some of the lowest in the world. He acted as a converter, a smuggler or the goods and ever since was paid finely for his duties.
He himself was even forced to carry out some deadly missions, assassinating a man or woman, and bringing their heads or their bodies. But no one questioned him. Not one single person.
However, it all came apart. The Black Market was found by the Knights, they destroyed every branch of it, Daedalus tried to destroy any remains of his connection to the syndicate, but it was to no avail, he too was caught, and torn away from his wife, he was sent to a prison for the rest of his life. Nymphora, attempted, to protect him, even after knowing his horrible deeds, brandishing a knife, she attempted to fight the knights off, but was no match for the solders, he had just entered the room to find his beloved fatally wounded through the chest. Heartbroken, he ran away, to the village of Kakariko, where he would hide out for the rest of his existence. He became a resident there, naming himself Nexirium, and forgetting his old name.
He became callous, sad, lost… life wasn’t the same without his true love, he realized his corruption had even infected her, and he lost something so pure and innocent, something that he would never find again.
Finally, over the years, he grew insane with his lost, he struggled to find a way to bring her back, even if it meant killing himself in the process. He found casket, opening it, and inscribing magicks and curses within, he called to the heavens to create a gateway from their to the afterlife, so that he may find her, and bring her back. However, on this fateful day, the Knights had finally learned of him, and raided his house; he lay within the coffin, and stared with lost eyes as the knights looked over him, a dagger in his hand. He told them, that he would find her, that he would forever be with her in the after life. And he slit his own throat, not before slicing into himself repeatedly in several other places.
The casket filled with blood, and the Knights watched I horror as it suddenly began to glow, the door closing, submerging into the earth…
With so much inner anguish, so much inner chaos. He could not trully die, and Atomosk would not let him. The casket had a mind of its own, deeming that he watch over the dead and the living in order to fulfill his wish of seeing Nymphora again. The first days came by slow, find it was impossible to do the things it wanted him to do, but soon he came to accept being the Undertaker, and continued his dark pursuit of love. As the years went by, he was slowly but surely driven mad, now a phantom, a Poe, he was nothing but an absolute seeker of darkness. He struck no allegiances, he found no happiness, instead he forgot everything, the reason he was doing this, the people of Hyrule. He was merely Death now…
There was nothing left for him, but still he continues. Driven by his occupation, and maybe a lost love that he will never understand.
EXTRAS,
It would be cool if I can actually allow him the ability to fight with people physically though yes I understand he’s a poe, and all. But um, I kinda need help on his LS stuff I wouldn’t know how to do it yo… Basically I need a lot of help with dis
