One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie So, what with everything that was going on, he figured that there would be a meeting between all the leaders of the world, a council. It would be the intelligent thing to do, what with all the recent events, everyone needed to be on the same page, and Nightmare would do his part. Nightmare sat on his throne in Barad-Dur, staring at his guards, and then at the little Drossling that snoozed so soundly in his lap. He wouldn't allow them to hurt the Drossling, but he would definitely present it to give everyone an idea of what the shards could do. Hell, not only that, the Twilight Princess was somewhere in Barad-Dur at this very moment. No doubt they would want to see her as well. He knew a visitor would be here soon. After all, if there was to be a council soon, one would have to be stupid not to invite the Emperor. Stupid, or blatantly racist. So he would sit, and he would wait patiently. He had already told his guards that if a Chancellor came through, to let them through without incident. So he hoped that said messenger would be able to get through without getting stabbed, or killed, or butchered, or any nasty form of dying that would put his ass in hot water. He was trying to repair relations, and killing the Chancellor in a form of shooting the messenger would undoubtedly set that back.

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie And there he was, as predicted. He had to admit though, he wasn't familiar with the name Dreysir Arkos. He must have been new to the whole politics thing. Nightmare couldn't help but feel a smidgen of pity for Dreysir if this turned out to be the case. Not because he felt that the guy was inept, but simply because Nightmare felt that the system was so assbackwards that trying to use logic and reason like any sensible person would probably break the poor guy's mind. What with all the crap, he was wondering how long Dreysir would last. "You poor bastard. You're really throwing yourself into a hellhole by taking on the title of chancellor, you know that, right?" He remarked, not even with a greeting. Especially when you had someone like Azler handling the political affairs. Nevertheless, Nightmare clapped his hands together before rising from his throne, feeling somewhat energetic on the issue at hand. The Drossling picked up on this and hopped down from its master's lap before letting out a soft squawk. "Well then, good to see you made it alright. I was somewhat worried the Ainur wouldn't be too thrilled to see you." Nightmare spoke, unaware that there had in fact been several attempts to kill Dreysir. Then again, it may have been something that was on the way, but had yet to be reported to him. Either way, it wouldn't really impact anything, he was waiting for something, and he hoped that this chancellor would bring it to him. "So, did Zelda get my suggestion for a council meeting?" He brought a hand to his chin.

Dreysir said calmly, though privately he was amused. The comings and goings of leaders of each race had been far too frequent for Dreysir's own liking, though some--such as the Goron--were naturally inclined towards longevity. It made such a difference, time. Those who had little of it valued it greatly. Dreysir was more inclined to patience. "There were, of course, repeated attempts on my life. But that is forgiveable if I am truly as easily forgotten as it seems. Nonetheless I do apologize for slaying them. However, your suggestion, I fear ... was pre-empted, by another. There is to be another meeting of the racial leaders, and you have not been invited. This was not my doing, and it is why I am here. To form some sort of bridge between our Castle and yours. Metaphorically speaking, of course."[/ul][/ul]

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie So there were attempts on his life. Most regrettable, Nightmare's eyes took on a brief glint of exhaustion. It was crap like that that gave the monsters a bad name. He sighed a regrettable sigh as he looked at Dreysir. "No need to apologize. If they attacked you first, you had every right to defend yourself." He at least knew the laws of common sense. When you attacked to kill, you were taking your life into your own hands. There was no complaining if you got killed in the process. Though his exhaustion quickly turned into rage when Dreysir informed him of the leader meeting. "I... what?" That was all he could muster to learning he wasn't invited. Though the fact that someone else came up with it first. There were only two options. Either Dreysir was lying in order to keep things from getting out of hand, or that jerkass ended up causing problems for him again. Nightmare placed his forehead into his hand, face palming at what had just been told. "That fucker has the gall, the gall, to try and declare himself the most accepting person on the planet by taking credit for the creation of a hybrid group, then doesn't invite the Ainur to a meeting deciding the fate of the world." Nightmare muttered in a state of tranquil fury. He was not happy about any of this. "I'd be willing to bet actual rupees the creation of the hybrid guard was the idea of a hybrid. Azler just liked it and decided to take it for himself." He rolled his eyes. He glared at Dreysir, though there wasn't really any malice directed at the chancellor himself, rather, he was just pissed in general. "Does that douche bag not know that I have a better idea of what's going on than just about everyone?" This was true. Midna had told him everything that was going on concerning her and why she was here. He had extensive reports on what had happened, and had a massive archive of information that gave him extremely valuable data. To not invite the Emperor was just completely brainless. "What's worse is that when I don't show, it's going to be considered my fault, and when things go to hell, it'll once again be considered my fault." Nightmare continued to rant. But enough at that, he looked at Dreysir. If the guy was seriously willing to bridge the gap, then maybe he could do something. "Yeah sure, if you can deliver two letters and transcribe the entirety of the meeting, that would be great. Think you can do that?" Nightmare requested of the Chancellor. He was going to get his word in that meeting whether the Commander liked it or not.

Dreysir was aware that his own sword had only recently been kissed by blood, which was unusual and troublesome. He did not typically wear his weapon when he treated with another leader, even if his methods were as unorthodox as they had been today. "I could do so, I suppose, yes. Though I think it might seem wiser to elect Zelda as proxy. She is less divisive than one such as myself. The very fact that I have arrived here will no doubt cause concern. You did personally kidnap a woman who appears very important. Certainly many have been very agitated by the abduction." Dreysir was uncomfortable standing so long. He was unaccustomed to throne rooms; Zelda rarely saw him there, and Dreysir had for many years preferred to conduct his meetings in private. He was beginning to see how that decision had been an error.[/ul][/ul]

One for the Dark Lord on his Dark Throne In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie Ok, he had a point. Politics was a horrible game to play and you were always getting cheated somehow. In truth, Nightmare should not have gotten so fired up concerning that this would probably be happening again. And it would be happening a lot sooner than he thought, as it seemed that Dreysir had found out about the incident of Night snatching Midna away as a dragon and taking her all the way to Barad-Dur. It might have been kidnapping in actuality, yes. But considering how things turned out between him and Midna, Dreysir didn't really need to know that part. Pointing at Dreysir, Nightmare started up again. "You see? Right there. Just because I'm a dragon and she's a beautiful princess, you immediately assume I kidnapped her. He made an accusation. He wasn't going to get caught by the balls that easily. If he had a way to get out of it, he would take full advantage of it. "The reality is we're allies. Midna and I are allies. The Twili and the Ainur are working together." He explained. This was actually true. Ever since they had their discussion, Night and Midna had decided to work together to accomplish each other's goals. Which worked great because they tended to be a lot alike.
