Owen EndersChaotic Hydromancer
RACE,
Hylian; Lieutenant of the Hylian Knights
GENDER,
Dude.
BATTLE ROLE,
Jack of All.
BATTLE STYLE,
Casual Style, LS in event circumstance.
AGE,
22.
ALLIANCE,
Chaotic Good (Until the time comes to update this bit).
PERSONALITY,
Owen Enders has matured much from a young knight whose progress in climbing the ranks in the Hylian army was very much hindered by numerous youthful personality flaws. Often held back by overconfidence, impatience and general recklessness, Owen has become much more calm and collected as a person, an important transformation for someone intending to be a knight.
However, that’s not to say that he has changed completely as a person, Owen is still the cheerful and optimistic person as he was when he developed his reputation among the Knights. A compassionate person, he was also well-known for spending a lot of his free time moving around Hyrule helping those who needed his assistance, regardless of how menial the task was. Persistent and incredibly driven as a person, Owen is known for his reluctance to give up on any objective, intending to complete it through whatever means is required; intelligence and resourcefulness aiding him somewhat in finding a solution. Honest and a good reader of a person, he can quickly pick up on people’s emotions as well as being able to almost smell deceitfulness from anyone in a conversation by their body language.
Owen possesses a fairly good sense of humour, although the last year or so has seen it become somewhat dry, with a combination of deadpan jokes and general sarcasm through one-liners and short statements being at the forefront of his arsenal. He will take the opportunity to lighten a situation if appropriate by cracking jokes or mocking certain allies to gain a few chuckles in response, even if he may not necessarily mean anything that he says. On certain occasions, Owen has taken it upon himself to entertain people with an “anime-esque” style of humour, using outrageous and ostentatious body-language and facial expressions combined with ridiculous statements, bringing various reactions from people dependent on what his statements imply, or maybe if he’s reacting to a particular event that’s just happened; like so.
There are numerous qualities in a person that can irritate Owen, although testing his patience to the limit is a more difficult task than it used to be. First impressions count a lot in his books, although he does allow people time to alter those should they wish to. That said, upsetting him during a first encounter will certainly leave a permanent smear on a potential friendly relationship. Dishonesty, disrespect, machismo and loudness from a person among other things are on Owen’s personal list of pet peeves, although the hydromancer does well to disguise any disgust with an unreadable poker face. General nastiness from a person or mistreatment from one to another (bullying, effectively) is something that he will not tolerate and Owen has been known to intervene with certain situations to protect a person or ward off any ill-doers.
APPEARANCE,
Standing at 6’2” and weighing in at approximately 200lbs... right, enough of the sports commentator. Owen’s height and strong build make him a fairly intimidating sight, despite his gentle nature. A slightly tanned Caucasian complexion is a compliment of the time spent underneath the scorching sun, highlighting the features of his face magnificently, with shimmering blue eyes staring out from underneath the stunning white locks that fall down around his face. The medium-length hair is often swept out from in front of his vision, still framing the upper part of his face beautifully. Often ridiculed for being somewhat of a “pretty-boy” when he was younger, Owen is well-aware of the looks he possesses, although he rarely uses them to his advantage.
Typically, Owen dons fairly extravagant attire. This costume commonly consists of a black t-shirt underneath a red leather zip up under-jacket. Wearing loose black leather jeans which hang loose around his ankles, covering a pair of large black gold-crested boots, it almost completes a look which suggests style whilst remaining practical. Over the top of the under-jacket, Owen wears a large leather over-coat, black on the outside and red on the inside, short-sleeved and hanging down to just below his knees; a somewhat gothic look that is executed to absolute perfection. The ends of the sleeves of the over-coat are folded back to reveal the red under-side, also keeping it so that he has maximum mobility with his arms, although they can easily be folded down to be full length.
Owen also has many costume accessories, including many maroon-coloured belts that wrap around the top of his thighs to keep the tops of the jeans against his waist so that they move freely with his legs as he moves about. A large maroon coloured sheath is strapped to the back of his jacket, mysteriously being held in place even when the sword is being held. A black leather watch on his wrist completes the set of... “lesser accessories”.
Naturally, there is one thing which stands out the most about Owen as far as... “accessories” go, although he only reveals it when he really needs to. At will, his right arm becomes covered with a rather demonic armoury, a bright red with a glowing light-blue colour running throughout that looks almost like a large fingerless armoured gauntlets covering the right hand.
WEAPONS,
Evangelion The sword that Owen uses as his primary weapon, measuring almost 5 feet in length from the base of the hilt to the tip of the blade. The hilt of the sword is made from a strong metal, cased in rubber and then wrapped with a red cloth to provide Owen to a good grip on the weapon. It can be wielded with either one or both hands, the latter providing more accuracy and strength (naturally). The blade is amazingly large, made from an indestructible metal that strikes a deadly blow when combined with Owen’s strength. His prized weapon, the cloth around this sword is often attached to Owen’s wrist, meaning it cannot be knocked from his grasp easily and can be used as a swinging weapon. Evangelion was also blessed with an additional property, the sword glows vibrantly and the trigger vibrates when trouble is nearby, alerting Owen to be on guard.
The sword is imbued with the power of light, blessed with light as an enchantment from the Hylian Knights upon Owen's appointment as a lieutenant. Upon contact with the enemy's body, the sword is capable of inflicting a low degree of magical damage.

ITEMS,
- Small leather pouch, mainly used for carrying around money.
- A vast selection of lockpicks.
- A small book, often depending on whatever mood he’s in at the time as to the genre.
ARMOUR,
Hylian Knight Armour All of the Hylian Knights are gifted with "tailor-made" armour to cater for their combat style, choosing to wear whatever pieces of the armour that they wish. Owen wears the chest-plate and gauntlets underneath his jacket, hidden from view.
All magical damage the Hylian receives is decreased by half a level. The armour also decreases damage dealt by Darkness or Shadow magic by an additional half a level. Any light-based magic attack is increased by half a level in damage.
ABILITIES,
Liquid - Manipulation and Creation A family bloodline ability, possessing Owen the ability to create and control liquids at will. He is able to create quantities by manipulating moisture in the air and then control the resulting amount, although this ability is far more effective when there is a large source of water nearby, although the former method doesn’t hinder Owen’s ability much. Such methods as creating surface tension on the top of a body of water has seen Owen walk across lakes without any difficulty rather than swim, much to the displeasure of those who often choose to escape him by swimming. He has also been witnessed manipulating rain during torrential downpours to create platforms in mid-air to jump downwards from the top of a building safely. Owen can also effectively breathe underwater. In LS terms, this translates as the following
- Slot One: Water Spheres
Owen is able to create small amounts of water from the air up to the size of a basketball and manipulate these by launching them as missiles or using them to block other projectile/small attacks.
The creation and projecting of spheres costs one action slot, regardless of amount. There is a cool-down linked to the amount of spheres used: one sphere = one post cool-down, two spheres = two posts cool-down, three spheres = three posts cool-down. Standing on a body of water or near a water supply decreases the cool-down by one post.
- Slot Two: Water Manipulation
Owen is able to manipulate water free-form, by manipulating its surface tension. In doing this to his Water Spheres, he can increase the damage taken by an opponent by one condition, as the impact will be harder. Doing this results in a one-turn cool-down before he can do so again. He can also change the surface tension of a large body of water, making it possible or impossible for others to stand on, essentially making the water surface harder so that it can also withstand impacts such as people falling to various degrees. Doing this also results in a one-turn cool-down before he can do so again.
Demi-Demon Traits Several of Owen’s physical attributes are far superior to that of the average person, particularly that of his own race. He has been known to beat racehorses for sheer speed, shift up to several tons in weight, and launch himself over gaps and canyons of up to 60m wide with a run-up. His general dexterity and agility is second to few and Owen naturally loves a physical challenge and a chase, possessing incredible stamina and endurance. In LS terms, the endurance/strength translates as the following:
- Slot Three (Lieutenant Slot): Physical Beast
Any physical damage inflicted onto Owen in battle is reduced down by half a level in battle.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Magical Guardian: All magical damage the Hylian receives is decreased by a half-level, and they gain access to a Magic Block, which mimics the regular block save that it blocks magical damage instead of physical. While using Magic Block, all damage received that turn is treated as magical damage.
HISTORY,
Incredible skills as a warrior as well as persistence and sheer drive are what have built Owen’s reputation among the Hylian Knights. Among the people, a life of helping other people and effectively guarding the community when needed has seen Owen become a respected and loved member around the kingdom. Never one to cause quarrel or trouble among the villages, his presence is always enjoyed; especially by those who have a lot of chores that need doing. He is essentially the working-class hero.
Spending his youth as someone who was brought up to be polite by his parents, running errands and helping the villagers in any way that he could, Owen was at first taunted by the other kids around for being a “goody-goody”. Not quite the case, despite being someone who wasn’t afraid to lend a hand when it was needed, Owen got himself into a fair bit of trouble as he always preferred to do things... his way. Somewhat of a chaotic hero, he was the sort of person who would resort to extremes in order to succeed in a task. Evil-doers learned to avoid him at all costs, as Owen wasn’t afraid to intervene in their plans and foil them completely.
Of course, none of this helped when the abilities that he possesses began to manifest. His parents tutored him in how to handle his bloodline liquid ability and how to use that to further help people. After all, crossing the seas to other villages is a lot easier when you have someone who can easily control the rough water to allow a safe and simple journey across.
Once Owen reached the age of 18, he began to separate himself from the village and started to try and travel around Hyrule, exploring the individual cities and broadening his experiences to the other cultures that were around. Whilst he didn’t make a great impact in many of the locations that he visited, the fact that he was always willing to help strangers he’d never even met meant that he’d created an impression with certain villagers where he could always go back to these locations and have somewhere where he could spend the night with a roof over his head and have food provided for him; links and relations that were priceless for him. Using these connections to his advantage, Owen has proved able to get reductions and haggle down prices on items should he need them, as well as getting free food from innkeepers in exchange for a hand with odd-jobs and the such. Everyone who knows Owen knows that he’s reliable when he says he will do something, and often look to utilize his helpfulness.
It had always been a dream of Owen’s to one day join up with the Hylian Knights, who he respected for their abilities and their legendary past, as well as their devoted protection of the royal family, even despite their continuing to protect and serve despite the dramatic fall in numbers that they were suffering from. With the numerous stories increasing as to their feats, Owen took it upon himself to enlist in order to help serve the kingdom. Demonstrating his accomplished skills as a hydromancer, as well as his incredible physical abilities helped him become recruited and he very quickly developed a reputation as a skilled fighter, although he was often frowned upon due to his sheer recklessness. Over time, the senior knights managed to turn Owen into a respectable soldier and mature as a warrior, leaving behind the youthful traits that had hindered his development.

Right, a couple of fairly major things. First, Water Spheres. Upon looking at it, you need a much steeper cooldown, and you also need a cooldown on the use of each Water Sphere offensively. Currently, it operates twice as well as the nearest comparable offensive ability, while also never actually going on cooldown, so is always triggering Magical Guardian. That equates to a 5 and a half condition swing over 3 posts, compared to a 2 condition swing from something more like Wrath (Aerith), Flameblast (Seraphina) or Telekinesis; Moderate (Oocca Racial). Could you alter this to 1 action for the creation of a single sphere, and 1 action for the use of a single sphere, with a 1 post cooldown for the offensive use of a sphere, or alternatively, rewrite the ability entirely. As much as I love the concept, it's currently WAY too powerful compared to the precedent.
The Water Manipulation just needs a slight tone-down, change it to 'increases the damage dealt by abilities from Liquid - Manipulation and Creation by 1/2 a level'. Other than that, it's fine.
Physical Beast also needs a little tweaking. As a passive, it's currently too powerful. First, you need to change from 'condition' to '1/2 level' if you wish it to remain passive, and you also need to choose either reduction of damage to you, or increase of damage dealt. Could you also specify if this simply refers to physical damage, or all damage. If you wish to leave it as it is in terms of full condition and affecting both reduction and increase, can you make it a duration ability, with a cooldown. I would recommend a 2 post duration and a 5 post cooldown from time of ending.

Just thought I'd mention that I purposefully kept the abilities powerful to get an idea from the other staff members as to the complete limits of power, so I was expecting to reduce/moderate stuffs down. ^_^
Down to business...
Water Spheres Essentially, one action for creating one sphere, one action for firing one sphere and in firing one sphere, I cannot fire another one the following turn. Whilst I disapprove, rules are rules and I'll edit.
Water Manipulation For the sake of clarity, being that increasing damage by half a level would put the damage dealt by a sphere in between moderate and heavy damage level, which wouldn't really work against decreasing condition... would it be allowed to decrease each sphere's damage level by one for the sake of the spheres, so each sphere would do heavy damage and then apply a cool-down whereby the manipulation cannot be used on the spheres the following turn?
Physical Beast I'll change that to reducing damage that he takes, and it would only be physical damage as stated in the ability already, but what do you mean by changing it from condition to "1/2 level"?

Right, upon re-reading the edit to Water Sphere, just realised it's a tad harsh. Make it that a single sphere may be used as a direct projectile per turn. Essentially, I'm assuming you're going to expand Water Sphere to include other abilities. The slightly higher damage that you deal compensates the fact that you have to make a Water Sphere first.
If you'd prefer, you can use that as an active buff, to raise the effectiveness of one ability from his Liquid - Manipulation and Creation ability by 1 Condition, with a 1 post cooldown. Makes it a little more versatile.
Half levels/conditions are like Low attacks or Low heals. So, for a Moderate attack, a reduction of half a condition would resolve it as a Low attack. For a Massive strike, it would be resolved as a Heavy strike and a Low strike. Passive buffs should generally be smaller than active buffs, due to be being constantly active. Because yours is specifically tied to physical damage, there isn't a minimum damage that an ability deals, but a full condition decrease is very large.

Water Spheres Wouldn't that edit effectively result in the same outcome as what's already in the ability? At the moment, this is how the ability plays out in a battle:
Turn One: Create a sphere [1 action], fire a sphere [1 action]. Turn Two: Cool-down post [cannot fire spheres], Create two spheres [2 actions]. Turn Three: Fire two spheres [2 actions]. Turn Four: Cool-down post [cannot fire spheres], Create two spheres [2 actions].
So, using that as an example of a purely magical offensive battle, wouldn't applying that edit actually limit the ability even further by only allowing the firing of one ball per turn? The main issue I had with the limit was how little I was allowed to create with one action, and fire under one action (although I understand the limit), it just means I can barely do anything in one turn (something I'm beginning to dislike about this LS system). I'm happy content with leaving the edit as it is, I'm just less inclined to use the LS system as a result. =P
Water Manipulation I'll use that active buff with the cool-down. One turn isn't too bad, I guess.
Physical Beast Fair, that makes sense. I'll edit in that it reduces physical damage taken by half a level.
