He hadn’t been away for but a few hours and already, the dark skinned teen was already relishing his newly granted independence. Strong legs propelled his form forward through the lush Hyrule fields, mahogany hues soaking in the awe-inspiring sight of the seemingly endless plain as well as the gargantuan castle in the distance. As of now, Vitae didn’t have a definite idea as to where he was going to travel first and after some thought; the male saw it most wise to make a quick stop at Hyrule’s Castle Town. There, he could make any last minute preparations and perhaps get a bit of information about the various Provinces. After all, he hadn’t seen past the Lanaryu Province and even then, the young adult had only been to Lake Hylia and Hyrule’s Castle Town at most.
Quickly, the boy rummaged through his hefty pouch before tenderly pulling out a neatly folded piece of parchment. It was a map of Hyrule, something that’d prove to be invaluable during Vitae’s travels. Besides, the last thing he wanted to happen is to become lost in the middle of nowhere. The teen soon became immersed within the map, not paying mind to the surroundings for the time being.

Happily, Walley skipped out of the Forest and into the Field. He was given a letter to take to the Castle Town, and as the Messenger of the Kokiri, he had no choice but to use his supposed day off to travel across the vastness of Hyrule field-- on foot-- and into the Castle Town, to deliver the letter whose real address was all but known. He had been studying his friends the past few days, and noticed that there was something serious about this letter, but Walley was told to deliver it to a certain person and to no one else, and then to further mystify the situation, Walley was also told not to ask any questions, and to turn and leave as soon as the letter was delivered.
Truthfully, Walley wasn't too wound up in the idea, but he did plan on doing his job with expert care so he could then report the success of his mission to the Grove. As a Kokiri Protector, he did, of course, have to set a good example for the rest of the Forest. And he planned on doing just that, using the utmost care and absolutely flawless obedience, Walley knew that even sketchy missions like this had to be taken with solemnity and not an ounce of foolishness or child's play.
Being so rambunctious and brave, however, Walley found it difficult to ignore what he saw. There was a man running across the field. No horse, not carriage... a lot like Walley. He couldn't ride a horse himself, and the Grove didn't have a carriage, so he had to do most things on foot. Skipping still over to this figure, he pondered its place. It was a male, that was certain, but why was he here? And furthermore, he didn't have a horse. Unless one was a Kokiri, Walley found it to be beyond his own cognition to go anywhere at such a slow place.
It didn't deter him, however, and he continued to skip towards the man posthaste. And as he approached, he noticed the man had stopped and had quickly pulled out some sort of parchment; moreover, he was studying it, as if he'd lost his bearings of something of similar effect. Walley let out a huge smile as he skipped over to the man, because he knew his way around, being a messenger. He traveled all over Hyrule all the time. Surely he could help this man!
And so, as he grew closer, Walley stopped and leaned over to see this man's paper. It was a map of Hyrule, and therefore Walley had guessed correctly. He stuck a finger in the air, notifying this teen that he was about to speak of something important, and then changed his mind. "Hello!" he said happily, jumping up once in the air. "Are you lost?"

Having a horse was an untold luxury when faced with travel and unfortunately, Vitae didn’t have access to a noble steed. Even if he did, he knew close to nothing about riding horseback and the vast amount of care and responsibility that came with a horse was something that Vitae couldn’t put the time and effort into since he didn’t exactly have the necessary resources. Nonetheless, walking was still a viable way of traveling, even if it did take longer than horse-riding or being drawn by a carriage. Still, the black male was sure to account the time that it’d to take to travel to each Province as he continued to openly gaze at the unraveled map in his hands, not even noticing the Kokiri happily skipping over towards his position. Vitae glanced at the Faron Province, silently reading the region’s description before the Kokiri finally spoke.
Startled, the boy jumped, nearly dropping the map in the process before he whipped his head towards the voice’s source. It belonged to a male that was seemingly no older than twelve years old, an adolescent at most. Little did Vitae know that Kokiri never aged and had the potential to live for centuries. If he had to take a guess, Vitae would guess that the newcomer was Hylian, given the pointed ears and human – like physique. Finding himself falling silent, the dark skinned lad shook his head, the leather goggles resting on the top of his head catching a bit of sunlight.
“Oh, no. I’m not lost. I’m just trying…to figure out where should I go first.”
He answered truthfully, holding his map out a bit so that the Kokiri could see it as well.
“But…I’m new to traveling and I haven’t gone anywhere other than Castle Town or Lake Hylia. Um, if it’s alright with you, can you tell me where a good first stop would be?”
Vitae questioned, wondering what the mistaken adolescent would say. He really couldn’t be sure if the newcomer had traveled anywhere extensive due to the fact that he looked rather young and all. However, it wasn’t as if it wasn’t safe to ask.

Walley cocked his head and looked at the map. He hadn't often seen one, and things looked so different to him from the perspective of a map. To the young Kokiri, it was a jumbled up mess of lines and large areas or spaces. His face became more acute to the map and his eyes narrowed as he studied it. It would have looked like he knew what he was doing, but really, Walley was trying to get his bearings. He didn't study maps, he just traveled the continent! He didn't need directions to help him get from place to place, and he'd never used them in the past either.
"Hmm," He said, then jumped again happily, and looked at the man. He threw his arm in the hair and pointed to the sky. "Yes!" he said happily, in response to the man's question about a shop. But of course the Messenger of the Grove knew where the shops were; in fact, he knew where everything was! And he figured it would be a good idea to help this man find his way. That's what he'd do; Walley decided he would help this poor traveler.
He skipped off towards what was the massive castle of Hyrule, and the town that surrounded it. Often the town was full of many shops and shoppers alike, each to his own, and it seemed as though there was a place for everything, and everything for some places, such as shops that had a variety of things. It was what Walley thought about as he skipped on, not getting too far ahead of his new friend. "I'll take you there!" He said with glee, "I know the best shops in all of Hyrule!"
And then the boy thought.... He stopped skipping, and looked back to the man. "My name's Walley! Oh, and by the way, I'll take you to the town, but the best shops aren't even in the Lanayru province!" He boyishly giggled, and then he jumped and spun around in the air. He landed with force and pointed to the castle town. Then, he began to skip again, full of energy, towards the town.

With surprising enthusiasm, the Kokiri agreed towards helping Vitae, claiming that he knew of the best shops in Hyrule. Assumingly, the teen could possibly purchase a few supplies before finally setting out although he believed that he had everything he needed. Still, the tidbit about the best shops not even being located within the Lanaryu Province tugged at the ebony male’s curiosity, shown in the slight widening of his eyes. The Castle Town didn’t have the best shops? Vitae knew of several high-end shops within the Castle Town’s market and certainly, the sheer variety of shops and stalls was enough to draw people from every corner of the world. Vitae blinked his eyes a little bit, taking note of the newcomer’s name before suddenly speaking up.
“W-Wait!”
He called, taking a few steps forward once he noticed Walley already beginning to skip towards the Castle Town’s general direction. Well, he already knew how to get to the Castle Town, considering that he had visited there quite a bit and was one of the only areas that he was allowed to go before now. Hoping that the Kokiri would at least stop for a few moments, the dark skinned teen collected his thoughts before he spoke again.
“You…say that the best shops aren’t in the Lanaryu Province…So, where are the best ones then? I have to admit, the ones in the Castle Town are pretty good.”
Vitae commented, eager to hear where Walley would claim that the best shops were. It wasn’t so much the shops that interested Vitae but rather to hear accounts of people traveling to other regions. After thinking for a short moment, the male saw it best to come clean with his true intentions.
“Actually, the reason I asked was because…I kind of want to see other places. I wasn’t allowed to travel before until I learned how to defend myself but…now, I’m able to travel.”
Of course, it’d look a bit awkward to see that there was no sort of weaponry on the peaceful teen’s figure and Vitae was already expecting for Walley to point it out. If he did, well, Vitae didn’t have any qualms with providing a short demonstration and explanation.

Walley stopped in his tracks due to the enthusiasm about to erupt in his being. He turned about, jumping on one leg, and his big green eyes shot open. "Well, they're with the Gorons and The Zoras! Such wonderful places to shop, if I do say so myself~" he sung, thinking about the wonderful things that these shops had. It was an adventure, of course, to make it to either one, but it was rewarding. They had the best items and best prices anywhere, since the economic structure of the other lands were not influenced by haughty, aristocratic behaviors.
"You want to travel?!" Walley jumped up and down with excitement. He hadn't had a traveling buddy in a long time! And he loved adventure, therefore he needed someone to travel with. "I love to travel! Come on, let's stop at Castle Town and then we'll go on an adventure!!"
Without giving the man time to answer, Walley quickly turned about and skipped towards the Castle once more, but this time with greater speed. He was happier than he'd been in a long time, and was very excited for the potential of another great adventure, especially with someone who hadn't seen all of the other lands before. It would be a fun trip, and Walley knew it. He whistled to himself as he skipped, releasing part of his excitement in his notes.
