Nestor hadn't traveled this far in a long time. Perhaps twenty, twenty-five years. But tonight, he felt as if his life was beginning the last phase. So he decided to go out to the tavern and begin the end with a bang.
Approaching the door, he transformed into his humanoid turtle form and entered, wearing his big goofy smile like he always did. He looked around the tavern and decided to take a seat at one of the vacant tables.
"Oh ho, I haven't seen this many people in one place in a long time. How exciting." He looked out to see the people, folded his arms and decided to relax in his chair.

So was Béranger's logic as she sheathed her sword and wandered into the Fairy's Fountain Tavern. She had never been one for drinking...or merriment...or general fun, but she was tired, parched, and ravenous. Rabbit had been booked into a barn, and all that was left was for Béranger to kick back her armored feet and swig down a pint.
(Well...that sounded a little tacky when she put it that way. But no matter.)
Her spirits were considerably dampened, however, when she saw a turtle entering before her (not that they had ever been that dry to begin with). Her copper eyes narrowed warily, and a frown slid onto her lips; of course other races would be here, it was called Fairy's Fountain Tavern for the sake of the goddesses, but haughtiness was haughtiness in the proud Hylian's case.
When she entered she cast a wary glance over at the Minish, hand floating to her sword's pommel protectively; an irate glance from the bartender caused her to remove it. With a huff, she sat at a table next to the Minish, eyes sweeping over the people at the bars and surrounding seats. She removed the armor covering her gloved hands and dropped it onto the table with a bang.
"I'm surprised you've ever come out of that shell," she muttered to herself just too loudly, hands sweeping up to release her hair from its bun. A sour and combative mood was never a good premonition from the icy knight to be.

After a couple of minutes had when by, the waitress came to the table to take their order. She appeared to be woman in her mid-twenties. From only taking a glace at her, you could tell she was a Minish. She had canine ears covered in black fur at the sides of her head, and a bushy black tail, those tip is white. She looked at the customers with a warm smile made by her rosy, luscious lips.
"Hello, and welcome to the Fairy's Fountain Tavern~!" she said to them, in upbeat tone in her youthful, yet mature sounding voice, "How may I serve you?" She took out both of the menus she had kept under her slender arm, and gave them to each member at the table.

The door to the Fairy's Fountain exploded inward, struck against the wall and rebounded back to slap the Gerudo woman in the face, knocking her backward. There was much cursing to follow from outside the tavern before the door exploded inward again, this time caught in the rebound by an extended hand and a triumphant grin spread clear across Nadia's face. She took a mighty step into the tavern and looked around with complete and utter awe. This was in no way like any bar she'd ever been to. In fact she didn't even know . . .
"There are bars outside the desert?" she gawked with an awestruck and airy voice.
But only for a second.
The awe left her eyes and became replaced with utmost determination, sheer and unrestrained. The hand that held the door whipped forward, all her fingers except the index and thumb curling inward toward her palm. That lone finger ventured forward, identifying one single person and calling her out. "Waitress! The most potent booze you have!" she exclaimed loudly, then whipped her arm sideways and pointed at the frosty, armor-clad lady. "Put it on her tab!"
And with that Nadia had made a new friend, in her eyes. She walked over to Beranger and Nestor and draped her arm over Beranger's shoulder. For one from the desert it was quite clear how cool and cold this woman was. But Nadia was always friendly with those who bought her drinks. "My name is Nadia al Khalifa and I will drink with anyone who buys for me!" she announced happily, grabbing a tankard from a nearby table, despite the objections of the table's occupant, and chugging much of the liquid. "Much obliged!"

Nestor gladly accepted the menu from the cute girl. He took a look at her tail, swearing to himself that he had see it once before. But there was also the matter of the girl making a rude remark about his looks. Slowly he got up out of his chair and moved over to her table, smiling as always.
"I haven't actually come out of the shell, so to speak. I have simply made it...vanish." He took one look at the menu and smiled to the waitress.
"Water. In a bowl if you please." He then turned back to the icy paladin, who was now being thrown for a spin by the new girl who walked in. This would be a entertaining little party, for all of them.
"It would appear hot and cold are being adequately represented tonight, wouldn't you agree?"

Béranger assaulted the waitress with an icy look, frowning as she examined the contents of the menu. It was a bit unsatisfying, but it would do–one had to make sacrifices on a journey.
"I'll have a gin and tonic on ice, please," she said curtly, elegant fingers sliding the menu toward the waitress. Béranger did grace the woman with a second glance and kept her gaze pointedly distracted, focused on some meaningless corner of the room.
Mere seconds after speaking those words, the tavern door exploded inward and rebounded to assault the Gerudo that had launched it to life. A glare etched itself across Béranger's face, mutating into a snarl as the Gerudo demanded her order be put on Béranger's tab.
When the woman–Nadia, was it?–put her hand on Béranger's shoulder and obscenely chugged a tankard–well, that was enough to crack any glacier.
"I have no interest in sharing anything that involves someone like you," she purred coolly. "Shouldn't you be roaming a sand dune?" And then, turning to the turtle, "Such a clever observation."

Kinsley awaited for the new arrivals to place an order. While she stood patiently by the tables, her hazel eyes drifted to the female hylian and got assaulted by her icy glare. To this, she performed a counterattack using her warm smile to combat her cold stare. Then she looked over at the old man, still holding the warm smile on her face, this time not as an attack, and listen to his order. Strange that he would prefer water in a bowl rather than a glass, whatever the reason was she did not care. She nodded her head, "Yes sir!" There was a hint of sweetness in her voice. Then to the hylian woman, she nodded her head. "Very well!" There was, again, sweetness in her voice. But this time it was overflowing with it.
Before she could collect the menus, the door exploded open, causing many eyes to draw to it. There they it was the doing of a red haired maiden, who was quickly hit with a painful slam made in retaliation by the very door that she attacked. Before the witnesses could turn their eyes away, it repeated. This time the maiden manage to avoid the door seeking revenge as it rebounded.
After watching...that, Kinsley took the menus and hurried over to the bartender.

Everyone seemed to hating on the Gerudo in this part of the world. Nadia couldn't see why. All these comments, and all they did was crash against the stone wall that was her own ignorance. To Nadia the comments were simply drive. She must improve racial relations, it seemed, and the best way she knew how to do that was by having a jolly good time. So when the icy knight spoke coldly, Nadia brushed the comment right off and threw a big goofy grin at her.
"I would be but then I wouldn't be able to enjoy your fine company!" she exclaimed, her arm remaining over the knight's shoulder. She turned to the turtle and stuck her tongue out at him playfully. "I'm not fire, I'll thank you!" she exclaimed, though there was no offense in her voice. It would take a lot for anyone to offend Nadia. "I come from the land of stone and sand, not from a land of fire!" she added, and then to prove her point she reached into her pocket and pulled out Lucy.
"This is Lucy. She'll be our drinking buddy. She helps me remember all your names in the morning," Nadia said simply, then laid the rock down on the table between the three of them. "After a night of fun I tend to have a little trouble remembering. Shame, isn't it?" she said and laughed boisterously, then, using the cold knight as support, hoisted herself up and looked out for the waitress. "Make it two of whatever you're getting me!" she called out.

Nestor received his water bowl with a smile and a nod. Then he shifted states to his turtle form, in which he was much more comfortable. He then stuck his neck out as far as it would go and began to take little sips, playing with the water with his tongue and watching it move as if he were judging it. He paid little attention to the two women arguing, beyond looking at them intriguingly.
Although, there was something the Gerudo said to intrigue him. "Ah, but you must have misheard me, I never said fire. I merely said hot. Would you say the desert has a plethora of warm sand as it wraps around your bare feet?" He then looked at Lucy. It was certainly a rock, all right. A magic rock, if it did what Nadia claimed it would do. He continued to watch water ripple when he provoked it, as if it would do something different. So far it seemed to be just water. Although the sight of a seated tortoise may turn some heads.

When Nadia pulled out a stone from her pocket and suddenly announced it had a name, Béranger barely kept her composure. The only outer sign of her mental spluttering was a flash through her eyes and the knitting of her brow.
"He was talking about the desert. And that is a rock," she said. "If you have to use a rock to keep up with problems caused by your drinking, you have far worse issues with which you should be concerned."
Then Béranger looked past Nadia and to where the waitress had disappeared. "Where is my order?" she demanded. "And if you dare bring me whatever this crazy woman has tacked on to my order, you will regret it."
I'm going to need it, added Béranger mentally. She dipped her head in approval as the turtle explained his comment; what kind of person couldn't even understand that?
When Nadia touched Béranger, the icy knight really did flinch, but maintained a frigid silence. What was worse: being touched by some insane person who believed rocks had memories, or having to defend a Minish against the insane person's lack of logic? Béranger brought a gloved hand to the bridge of her nose and sighed. She should have just stayed outside.
"Why are you here, anyway," she muttered, not so much a question as a complaint. She recognized her mistake before she had even finished uttering the sentence; now she was in for an explanation...wonderful.
