The Goron tilted her head as she listened, her smile slowly lowered as she realized he had been going easy on her. And she had thought she done so well! But she remembered, she still did well! Plenty of others probably weren't able to catch him, but she did, even if it take her a bit longer. "Nope! That was actually my first time playing around like that. It was really fun!" Isolde said, her cheery nature returning almost instantly.

[MIFF]

"Hmm, yes. Just as I thought. Still, you did much better than most could. I've fought Gorons on Death Mountain before who showed much less potential than you."

Miff stopped pacing directly in front of Isolde's line of sight and turned to face her again. He once more spun his Propeller Leaves as he spoke, for emphasis.

"You seem like the type who can appreciate the power of a Deku. How would you like come with me on some of my trips? You'll get to see places all over Hyrule, maybe learn to fight a little better."

Isolde's eyes widened in surprise. "Me?! Really?!" She asked, hands hitting the frozen ground in excitement. He wanted to take her on some of his trips? THAT. WAS. AMAZING!!! She'd get to see Hyrule, and meet more people, and learn so much! Oh, it would be so exciting and wonderful, and ohmygoshawesome. "Yes please!!!!"

"Ho ho ho. You're right to ask politely. This isn't something I offer just anyone, you know. Only my personal minstrel who writes songs about my greatness has been allowed to keep my company before," Miff explained while nodding his head with sincerity.

The Mad Scrub studied Isolde's reaction and, determining it to be respectful enough, concluded that she could listen to some of his great stories some time.

"If we find some strong monsters maybe you'll even get to see a bit of my real power. I usually hold back since if it was over too quick there wouldn't be any fun in it, but you never know."

"You have a personal minstrel?" Wow, he really was something! And he wanted to take her on adventures with him! Maybe some songs would be written about her too, in time. "I can't wait to see how strong you really are." Isolde told the tiny spitfire. Having not met anyone since she left home, poor Isolde had almost given up. It wasn't likely that she'd actually leave so easily as there was too much to explore, but it was going to be so much more exciting exploring the lands with companions! "Where are we going next? What are we going to do? Is there something close by that you're looking for?"

[MIFF]

"Well let's go find that lazy singer first. He was still up in Faron Province chasing giant frogs last I saw him," Miff said nonchalantly, turning to head north. He stopped mid-step and turned abruptly to face the Goron again before continuing. "Also, don't get close to me or touch me! At least not until you figure out a way to stop being so cold. Got it!?"

Satisfied that his word was law Miff turned back and, resuming his previously halted step, continued on his way.

Isolde hopped to her feet immediately and set off after Miff. She frowned slightly in confusion at the request she remain at a distance. "But what's wrong with the cold? I like it!" Isolde said, thumping along and ignoring his wishes for now. How weird.
