Papagor's first foray into the brand new exciting world of fishing hadn't gone exactly as planned. For one thing he'd yet to see a any fish that weren't for sale at a market. For another thing he had yet to come across any bodies of water deep enough to fish in. Then there was the fact that he didn't know how to "go fishing" yet. For some all of this would be rather discouraging, but not for Papagor. He was a Goron, and Gorons were nothing if not patient. Well, no... heavy. If nothing else Gorons were heavy. Papagor was decidedly impatient, in fact
But hey, there was a party going on!
It had been annoying at first. Here he had rolled all the way to Hyrule Castle Town, the center of Hyrule's civilization, to prepare himself for the great journey ahead. When he arrived though had the old Goron found a wealth of knowledge on the art of fishing and helpful Hylians and humans who would direct him the right way? No. Instead he had found that everything was closed because "everyone is at the ball". That threw a few bomb flowers into Papagor's plans, but Gorons were nothing if not adaptable!
No, wait... heavy. Still heavy.
'If everyone is here there must be some fishermen as well,' the "slightly" obsessed man of stone thought as he wandered around the crowds. Being of a stature that loomed above most of the guests and made "slipping between people" all but impossible the traveler from Death Mountain didn't have any trouble looking for people but did find difficulties in getting to where he wanted to go. 'Their dancing sure is slow for a party, though.'
And so the large mountain-dweller wandered, wearing a Goron Mask that he'd acquired from some salesman near the castle trying to make a quick profit off of the party's theme. The disguise made perfect sense to Papagor. He didn't look anything like the goron the mask was modeled on, after all(Though his thick bear still fell out below it, which made the resemblance rather similar in the end).

Seayn hadn't been sure about coming to this party. He had never been very graceful for things like dancing, nor had he exactly had a charming way with words. He had brought a mask though, even if it was a pretty creepy looking one. His mask looked quite strange among the crowd, considering most people just wore little feathery things. He could only imagine what all of these people were talking about. There were so many conversations going on at the same time and it was impossible to focus on any one... especially considering how rude eavesdropping was. He had a plan though. Seayn was going to find a woman, ask her to dance, and slow dance with her. That was the only type of dance that he had ever learned and he was fairly decent with it. The young man timidly moved through the crowd, avoiding physical contact as he went. He managed to maneuver through the crowd without any incidents, although he had bumped into that angry looking man... Seayn glanced over his shoulder to make sure that no one was coming. There she was! A rather pretty woman, long black hair, dark brown eyes. He nodded to himself moving towards her. He let out a heavy breath, feeling his amount of nervousness going up as his stomach twisted into knots. Why would she want to dance with a nobody like him? She wouldn't, he didn't want to be rejected, that wasn't ever pleasant. He began to wring his hands for a moment, swallowed as he worked up his resolve. Seayn moved in a rush, bringing his hand up to tap on her shoulder and pouring words out in a rush. " Would you like to dance?" The young man felt his finger bump into something very solid and broad... unlike the young woman's shoulder should have been. His eyes met a brown-ish substance that felt like it was made of rock. He tilted his head back, following it to the top. A goron... wearing a goron mask. He mentally groaned, having wasted his moment of determination.

To say that he barely felt the shorter human's tapping was an understatement. Had Seayn not spoken up Papagor would have assumed it was just something he'd brushed against while walking by. Yet, the little man had spoken and so the not-so-little Goron had noticed. The bearded traveler looked down into the eye of Seayn's mask with apparent confusion, but then smiled beneath his own disguise.
"You're pretty sharp, human! I was just thinking this place was moving too slowly! Glad to know there are some men who know real dancing around here!"
Seayn's invitation had been mistaken for insight. Papagor believd he had noticing the Goron's dissatisfaction with the dancing around them and now walekd to a more open space next to the Knight Errant. With the required elbow room available Papagor started to move. A lot. In many quick jerks. Jerks that might have sent a man flying should they stray a little off course into someone, but Papagor was careful of that. To the Goron himself the music was still a bit too slow but he worked that out by grunting a few extra beats here and there as he swung his arms and legs and spun about.
If Seayn had any hopes of not getting involved in this spectacle however those would be dashed when Papagor suddenly halted, both hands held out in the human's direction as he happily declared "Your turn!"

Seayn hadn't been expecting the goron to respond like this! Now not only had he failed at dancing with the woman but he was going to make a fool out of himself dancing with something that towered over him. How did gorons dance? He had no clue but he was sure that he was going to find out. The giant chunk of mountain maneuvered himself into a more spacious positioning before he burst into movement. Seayn had never felt more afraid for his life than he did at this singular moment. Arms bigger than the pillars supporting the roof flew through the air, twirling very near to his face. If he didn't know any better he would say that the goron was being attacked yet context implied that this was a dance.
"Errr... Ok. I'll go for it." Seayn stuck his hands out, looking at the goron as if for assurance. He began to bob, his knees bending and popping him back up, as he waved his arms frantically up and down. The young man felt rather unsure of himself, feeling as if he looked goofy. He spun in a bit of a half-circle, trying to partially imitate the goron. Perhaps others would take pity upon him and understand that he was just trying to keep the gigantic rock happy. "Like this?" He asked, frantically moving although he tried to keep at least partially to the beat while moving.

"Hey, what's this?" Papagor asked the smaller man, slightly disappointed. He was hoping to see what a real human was made of on the dance floor, but this guy was just flimsily copying what he saw. The Goron shook his head but smiled under his mask, realizing that he had misjudged this man.
Papagor decided to lighten this fellow's clear worries with a hearty laugh before he walked over and placed his hand gently onto Seayn's shoulder in reassurance(Gently for a Goron meant that he might still cause the man to stagger a little, of course). "Dancing comes from the heart, if you're going to move you should move the way you want to."
Papagor took Seayn's apparent social awkwardness at face value, hoping that he was being reassuring. Maybe he could give the fellow some dancing lessons in exchange for fishing lessons? Did fishermen have a special kind of dance? Papagor's mind wandered off as he thought that he should look into that.

Volkin scampered through the door, looking as though he had dressed himself in a hurry and sprinted halfway across Hylia to make it to the castle. He knew he was late and that it would be unlikely that he'd be able to do much in the ball but he at least wanted to get inside, he wanted to see the castle and even if it was only for a short time that was still more than he had ever dreamed he'd be able to do.
With a wide grin, he began to set off into the ballroom only to find his attention drifting toward a Goron trying to teach a man how to dance. He had never me ta Goron in person and from looking through the crowd he saw no sign of anybody who he wished to speak with and so he allowed himself to focus on the two dancers. A small chuckle came from behind his fox-shaped mask.
"I'm sorry, I mean no disrespect with my laughter." He gave a respectful sort of bow. Although the sight had been amusing, he did not want the man to take his laughing as some sort of insult.

Papagor chuckled at the new arrival's over politeness. He waved the man's worries down with a flick of his large wrist, having taken no offence at all.
"Why not laugh? It is a party, isn't it?" he asked in a very lighthearted voice. As light as a goron's ever got, at least. Someone else was talking to him, just as planned. Papagor had figured all along that his dancing would liven up the party and make him more popular with the locals. At this rate he was bound to meet someone who could tell him more about fishing.
"Come on over and show us some dance moves," he heartily asked the stranger.

"Of course, it's just my laughter has gotten my nose broken in the past so it is better safe than sorry." He had never met a goron before and had Papagor not been so friendly he might have been somewhat intimidated. He was easily three times larger than the short miish, perhaps even more.
He grinned behind his mask when asked to show some dance moves. Volkin had rarely ever danced around people but there were times that he'd danced along the lake for fun. He opened his ears and listened to the music, tapping his foot along to the beat before beginning to sway.
Once he was sure he had the rhythm down he began to move his body in a sort of carefree, lighthearted dance. Volkin added more to the dance each time he went through the motions, his body moving in the way that none but the most flexible could manage.

Seayn felt rather insulted by Papagor's criticism of his dancing, almost as if he felt that he was being challenged by the large goron's words. "I know how to dance, I just... wasn't ready! I'll show you how to do it." The young human said defensively. He knew that he didn't quite know how to dance but he could move to a rhythm decently. He let out a heavy breath, readying himself. He would have to do this right. He listened to the music for a while, waiting for him to feel it before he actually started moving. He barely even noticed the minish that approached the two of them, too focused upon obtaining the right movement to the beat.
"I'm about to show you how it's done." Seayn said definitively, almost as if completely confident now. The young man had always had a problem with being taught how to do things. He stuck his hands into the air, waving his hips vigorously in time with the beat. He swayed back and forth, he spun, he even jumped a few times in there. His movements were rather erratic and explosive but they did, for the most part, follow the beat of the music. It was rather physically intensive, causing him to sweat after a few moments of doing it in the crowded ball room.

Seayn may have been too engrossed to notice the new arrival's show but Papagor wasn't. The old Goron smiled and bobbed his head happily to the slight beat as Volkin did his thing. He didn't miss Seayn's eventual coming around either as the Human started to move in his own unique but still musically-inspired way.
"Yes, this is the way! Now it's a party!" Papagor declared as he moved back again and started to let loose. His arms and legs flung out and about, never actually endangering anyone but still quite a sight to see when the arms were that large.
And so it was that a Goron, a Human and a Minish stood in a roughly triangular formation on the dance floor. Each without a partner yet still moving to the beat. No dance was alike but they all looked positively enjoyable in their own ways. Nobody got too close to the trio, mostly because of Papagor's wild style, but others nearby started getting into the mood too with both singles and couples stepping up their own movements as well. The band nearby started to get the feeling spreading through the crowd and even the music itself started to become a little easier to find a solid beat to.
Now they could all have a real grand old time!

A wide grin spread across his face under his mask as he danced his wild dance, enjoying the company of the Goron and the human. And he was in the castle! Oh this was a dream come true for the young minish. As he was dancing he was sure that he caught sight of one of the minish elders and made a mental note to be sure to talk to her before the night was through.
"My name is Volkin, what should I call you two?" He asked as he moved to the music, a happy, giddy laugh escaping him as he took note of the crowd starting to watch them and eventually started joining in. "This is great!" He did a quick backflip before hopping to his feet and continuing the dance.

Seayn found himself enjoying the exhaustive dance, although the more he thought about it, the more he imagined that he looked like a fool to everyone else. The goron had once again started his dangerous dance, his arms and legs flailing to the beat, sometimes to the beat that he made yet there was something... natural about it. Perhaps the fact that this goron was large even for his race was the reason the young human scooted a little farther away, not wanting to experience one of those enormous fists slamming into him. The young man continued to dance, and he was indeed having a grand old time as he forgot about the words that he had recently heard from a stranger.
Seayn let out a bellowing laugh as he stopped, covered in sweat from his intensive dance. He began to breathe heavily, catching his breath. "Name's... Seayn." He said, between inhaling. The young man took a few moments before bursting out into the dance again, slightly off time. The trio seemed to be quite the attraction, quite a few people staring in their direction, even though their vigorous dancing did seem to be slowly creeping through the room.

"Call me Papagor!" the largest of the trio said without missing a single beat, if you could even see a beat to his movements at least. He continued for a bit before finally coming to a stop again once the current song seemed to run its course.
"I'm glad we could all bring a little life into this party! Thanks for the assistance Volkin and Seayn," the Goron said with praise as he nodded in each of their directions. "You both really know how to dance!"
As he said this though Papagor realized that he wasn't supposed to be here for dancing! He was supposed to be here for fishing! Or wait, was he? Could you fish at a party? No, that wasn't it. Look for a fishing instructor? But wouldn't they be too busy dancing? So why was he here in the first place?
The Goron's mind and attention seemed to wander off again as he was lost in a train of fishing-related thoughts.

He finished the dance with another flip before bowing to the two of them. "Thank you. You are quite the dancer as well, Papagor." Volkin looked huge Goron over and considered all of the questions that he wished to ask this man. Ever since that incident where he had asked the wrong question to a short-tempered Gerudo, however, he considered his questions a bit more carefully. But this man seemed cheery enough, Volkin doubted he would take offense to much.
"It's nice to meet you as well, Seayn. What brings you two to the party?" Perhaps he could take this time to learn a bit more about the people around him.

Seayn chuckled in a moderately self-conscious manner when Papagor praised him. He wasn't exactly sure how he had ended up doing this, having planned upon dancing with a pretty girl but now he felt rather glad that he had. Not only had he met two interesting fellows of races that didn't adventure to Castle Town often but he had also ended up helping liven up the party simply by acting radically different than he normally would. The young man started dancing again, although less vigorously than he had before.
"It can be said that you definitely know how to make a party more exciting." Seayn said, looking at those flying fist that would probably pulverize any nearby human with one swing. He knew that it would be very unpleasant but he felt perfectly safe anyways. "It's been a pleasure meeting both of you. I... might have been here to try to catch a peek of the princess. I hear that she's here... somewhere."

"I'm here to fish."
Papagor answered with this single sentence and a wave of his hand as if it had made any sense, then resumed his wandering thoughts. It took a couple more seconds but the Goron did then catch on that a bit more of an explanation might be in order.
"I mean, not here of course, haha. I mean I came to the city to get set up with fishing gear, but everything is closed because of this party so I thought I'd join in the fun."
Papagor laughed again before he started to move once more, flailing at a pace no less wild than his earlier demonstrations. Suddenly the Goron froze mid-swing though as he looked directly toward Seayn.
"Unless there is a place to fish here. Do Hylians offer fishing spots at their parties?" the bearded one asked, completely serious.

"To fish?" Volkin looked around, wondering if this was some sort of slang that he just wasn't keen to. It wasn't until Papagor explained that he stopped trying to figure out just what sort of meaning that term might have.
He turned his attention to Seayn for a moment and nodded. "She should be around somewhere. It would be nice to meet her. I thought I caught a glimpse of her earlier but I think I may have been mistaken."
When Papagor inquired about fishing spots, Volkin took a look around and gave a shrug. "I'm sure there would be a pond somewhere, in a courtyard perhaps?" He knew it wasn't an offered fishing spot but it would give him a chance to take a better look around the castle.

Seayn looked at Papagor, a gigantic goron covered in obscene amount of muscles. He was a fisherman? He couldn't imagine any goron fishing, let alone the largest one he had ever seen. He intently watched Papagor for a moment before shrugging, honestly not sure if he was serious. "Fishing holes at a party? I don't think so, I'm sure they probably have some water around here maybe even some fish but I'm not sure that they're for catching." The young human ran a hand through his hair, glancing at Volkin for a moment. Perhaps neither one of them were used to this town.
"I'm sure Zelda is around here somewhere but she's probably busy with more important things than me. The best place to fish though, is Lake Hylia. You just have to make sure to avoid fishing where Zora are. Although I think I've heard there's some place up river that had a spot particularly for fishing." Seayn said, wondering if they made poles for someone that was as large as Papagor. What would be a challenge for this goron to catch? Something big... very big.

"Lake Hylia? Yes, I'm sure I've heard of that."What did the little human mean by not to fish where the Zora were? Was he implying that the Zora were more than he could handle? That the greatest Goron fisherman who ever lived couldn't catch one of those in their natural environment if he tried? Well, that insinuation didn't sit well with Papagor at all. He'd show this Seayn. He'd catch the biggest Zora the human had ever seen and come right back to rub him or her in his face. "Well if neither of you are sure then it would be best for me to make certain. I have much work to do and I should make careful use of all my time. Thanks for helping me liven this place up."Papagor gave a hearty laugh before slapping both men on their shoulders in a friendly(And probably slightly painful) gesture. The Goron then turned and walked off, looking for the courtyard that had been mentioned. [Exit]

"Of course they wouldn't be meant for catching, but that doesn't mean that they're incapable of being caught." Perhaps a masquerade at the castle wasn't the best place to throw rules to the wind but it was just a couple of fish.
Although he agreed that Lake Hylia was the best place for fishing and just about anything but adventure, there was very little chance that Papagor would be able to make it there tonight.
"Good luck!" Volkin waved the large man off before turning his attention back to Seayn. "Well it was nice meeting you, think I will go introduce myself to my leader." He gave a small bow before heading over to where he had previously spotted the Minish chief.
