MIRNA
devil in disguise
RACE,Hylian/Kokiri. Hylian dominant.
GENDER,Female
BATTLE ROLE,Melee DPS/Healer
BATTLE STYLE,Casual/LS
AGE,Fifteen
ALLIANCE,Nightmare!
PERSONALITY,Mirna's personality is even more interesting than her appearance, if that's possible. She's brash, she's bold, she's sarcastic as all hell. She doesn't really give a crap about anything or anyone other than herself, even Nightmare. Her position as the Emperor's vassal is really just convenient for her; that's all she's looking for, convenience. She's incredibly lazy, and she'll do anything to make things easier for herself. Ironically, half the time she expends more energy trying to make something easy than if she had just completed the task in the first place. Mirna's stubborn like that, though, and even if you tell her she's being stupid, she'll just work at what she's doing even harder.
She loves adventure, and she's constantly slipping away from the tower to do a little treasure-hunting or some exploring. She's only fifteen, so she's still really just a kid-- her Kokiri blood doesn't help any, either. Mirna has a flair for the dramatic, and she uses that with her sarcasm. She often sounds like a wacky, partially insane, cynical child, and that's exactly how she likes it. She's as high as a wild kid on heroin who won't believe she's dying, even when you show her the marks. She loves herself that way, and she doesn't ever want to change.
Despite her wackiness, though, she's rather good at being a vassal, when she's actually around to do her job. Aside from some basic magic, she's not extraordinarily powerful, but her size and her adorable appearance tend to make people underestimate her in battle- a mistake they're never likely to make again.
APPEARANCE,Mirna's an odd girl, and her appearance only supports that fact. She's petite, and she's flat as a board thanks to her Kokiri blood. She's about as thick as a twig, and twice as fragile-looking. Her eyes are crimson red, due to her magic, and her dyed hair matches her eyes- it's as red as the Gerudo's. She typically keeps it up in twin 'tails or in a spiky ponytail, although her choppy bangs are constantly getting in her eyes.
Her clothing is interesting to say the least. Despite her lack of curves, or perhaps because of, she wears ridiculously skimpy clothing even in the coldest of weather. A strap of black leather adorns her flat chest, where it spikes up and curves around the breast area. Her middle is completely bare, and only a tiny black leather miniskirt covers her hips and upper thighs. She has thigh-high black leather boots with two-inch heels. Black leather gloves cover her arms up to her biceps, and she has small red collars on her wrists. She also has a black collar around her neck, and skull-shaped studs adorn her ears.
WEAPONS,Merouc. A six-foot long spear, painted bright red with an absolutely gigantic head. It's not really that big, but if one thinks in proportion- she's a four-and-a-half foot tall kid wielding a six-foot-long spear. How she carries it around, no one really knows; the really scary thing about it, though, is how well Mirna handles it.
ITEMS,n/a.
ABILITIES,Viscus Anima -- Heart of the Vassal.
Much like the fairies, Mirna has the ability to heal- however, as it is a newly developed ability, she can only heal up to moderate wounds with this magic. A minor heal, such as a cut, bruise, scrape, or first-degree burn will heal in one post/one action slot, and hasa one postno cooldown. Moderate heals, though, such as deeper cuts, really nasty bruises, sprains, second-degree burns and other such injuries require one post/one action slot to heal, and have athreetwo post cooldown.
Mirna manipulates shadows for this ability- when healing, the injured area will glow with a dark purple color, signifying that it is healing. Because she is using shadows, the magic has changed her structure-- instead of having normal eyes, she has bright crimson eyes.
one magic slot available.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
A lot of talk goes around about the genetic superiority of Hylians, but in actual fact they’re relatively frail compared to the other races in terms of physical attributes; the difference is not extreme, but is just noticeable. They are, however, very gifted in terms of magic, and their abilities are better suited to general use than other, more specialized magical races. All Hylians are not the same: there are three separate magical powers, of which a Hylian is born with one (this is genetically random, but out-of-character, you get to choose which ability you get):
Magic Burner: All magical spells have their cooldown decreased by one level. However, if any ability would normally have a cooldown of 3 turns or greater, the Hylian takes low damage upon casting that spell.
HISTORY,
From when she was six years old, Mirna lived in Faron woods. Thanks to her Kokiri blood, she was extremely well-developed mentally and survived just fine, but she couldn't remember who she was or where she had come from. As far as Mirna was concerned, she had just appeared one day with only an age, not even a name. So she dubbed herself 'Mirna' and began wandering, as six-year-olds are wont to do. She was a restless child, often not sleeping for days at a time because she couldn't stand staying in one place. She had mock sword fights with trees using twigs, then branches, then even bigger branches. Mirna dreamed of a big life of fun and adventure, with a super-powerful weapon that would turn heads and make people stare at her in amazement.
Eventually Mirna wandered out of the forest, traveling all over the world to see everything there was to see, as well as doing a bit of dungeon crawling and antagonizing people for the hell of it. It was in doing both of these things that she ended up becoming Nightmare Darklight's vassal.
Having been dungeon crawling in the Gerudo Desert at the time, Mirna was carrying quite a few treasures around with her, although she wasn't particularly fond of any of them. What she really wanted was a giant spear that lay within the Cave of Ordeals, or so she had been told. It would be perfect for her main weapon; it would be a downright masamune in her hands. It was in searching for this spear that she had bumped into Nightmare. . . and he was carrying her spear!
At first, she was awestruck by the sheer size of the weapon in comparison to her body, then her anger took over as she realized that this jerk was jacking her spear. It was hers, dammit, and she wasn't going to let anyone take it!
And so, she threw a rock at him to distract him, stole the spear from him and ran away. He was fast, but she was small, and even with the huge spear she could get into places he couldn't. So Mirna got her weapon, and she felt like she was queen of the world.
Of course, the world had to fall apart right after that happened.
Funny enough, she found out that the guy she stole her spear from was actually the Emperor of Monsters, and out of some perverse logic that only she could understand, Mirna thought that she should offer her services to the guy. And so she went to him, pledged her loyalty, and somehow became his vassal. How that exactly worked, she didn't know; all she knew was that she was going to work with a bunch of monster dudes and that she got to keep her spear.
All in all, not a bad deal.
EXTRAS,
She's damn good at using that spear along with fist-fighting. Half the time she uses it as a launcher of sorts, to throw herself at enemies. The other half of the time she stabs and smacks or barricades or something like that.
Also, the thing with Nightmare was totally a fluke, but don't tell Mirna that. She's so proud of herself.
