The DOPPELGÄNGER wasn't exactly sure what had come over him. He was normally extremely cautious with who he was around anything that had a mouth, but he didn't feel like it was a necessity to remain too secretive around the Poe. The bright blued illusion would glance up at the Poe and give her a thumbs up. "A'ight. You need to grab anythin' before we go?" the boy asked. It was more of a joke than anything else for obvious reasons. Hyrule was a few days away at a hasted pace, and the DOPPELGÄNGER expected the two to actually get to know each other over those few days.
But, of course, he knew that their journey was going to be one that he would be able to remember. He had no idea what they would run into. He had no idea if the Poe would survive. He actually didn't even know the Poe's name.
"Also, what do you wanna be called? Poe'z good?"

Echo isn't one for humor, and so she immediately turned around to give the other what for before she could realize that he was only joking. Sighing, she shakes her head with another shrug and float son over next to him before looking up at all the stars in the night sky above the two of them. A name, it's just a name; Echo didn't know what it mattered what people called her, for the existence she use to lead with such a title is long gone. Now, she isn't anyone; all she is now is energy. "Echo," she began hesitantly, "Echo Faust."

The DOPPELGÄNGER nodded at calling the Poe by her previous name Echo. Or at least, that is what he assumed her previous name to be. With a quick turn on his heel, the DOPPELGÄNGER spun to the direction of Hyrule. He paused before he turned to the torch lights which were dangerously close. There would be visitors to the spring soon enough, and the DOPPELGÄNGER had no desire to explain why he was at such a location. He had even less of a desire to explain as a young boy.
"Lets go to a road. It'll be easier. And there is an inn just a few miles up the road." suggested the boy before he turned a little bit more and began walking to the nearest road which would be connected to the village close by. The DOPPELGÄNGER knew that he could play the desperate-boy card with relatively ease to any innkeeper. If that didn't work, there was always the horse stables for a bed of hay. He looked over his shoulder at Echo before he gave a cheerful grin.
"I'll race ya." And then he took off running.

Arching an eyebrow at the other's antics, running off like a little brat, she couldn't figure it out if the forms he takes on affects his personality or not. Whatever! It didn't much matter to Echo, she's just in it to kill time or something. With a shrug, she looks over her shoulder one last time at the torches drawing nearer before looking back over at the little boy running off in the distance. "Running, haha. That's so grand!" Echo couldn't help but laugh quietly, her form lifting off of the ground a bit higher than normally before flying forward at break necking speed.
She makes sure to blitz right past him before slowing down until she matches the male's speed, moving forward with him just at her side. Giving him a cocky smirk as she spins around to rotate her back towards the floor; she laces her fingers together behind her head with a smug look on her face. "You'll burn through all your energy like this, you know? It isn't a race, it's a rally!" Echo smiles back at the other, perhaps the hour is making her crazy enough to show such kindness.

"I just... wanna... get to... the road...!" the DOPPELGÄNGER exclaimed as he pushed himself. The lights that had once existed would fade into the dark of the night, and the two would near the road in a matter of a few minutes. The DOPPELGÄNGER would stop at the road and fall to his knees to let out a gasp for air. Sweat poured down his face, but he couldn't stop himself from smiling. He felt alive. He wondered how Echo would feel after they had been moving through the forest to arrive at their first destined location. The road was dotted with inns all throughout, but the DOPPELGÄNGER needed a short break before they would continue moving on.
At least, he thought it would be a short break. He found the ground to be incredibly comfortable after his run, and after he had been speaking with Echo for a few hours. Although the sun peaked through the forest as he put his head against the floor, he closed his eyes and let out a yawn. Without realizing it, he slowly exhaled and let his entire body relax. The DOPPELGÄNGER would fall asleep north of the Ordon Village, and just outside the beginning of the Faron Woods. Tomorrow would be another eventful day, and he expected them to make a healthy amount of progress. For now, though, he slept as a small boy on the ground with a ghost floating nearby.

Echo is surprised by the other's goal, her face showing it, but she really didn't know what to make of it; she simply lets the thought go. When the male collapses on the ground, finally achieving what it is he wanted to do, Echo slowly brings herself down to the floor with her feet just inches above it. Looking down at him like she did earlier, but this time with a different emotion resting in her hollow eyes, she didn't even realize he had simply passed out like that. Who would have thought a creature like this would sleep without a care in the world out in the middle of no where? Perhaps they had nothing to fear, or maybe he just didn't know any better; when you live for long periods of time, you age relatively to it. Whatever.
Slowly, bringing herself down towards the ground, she sits there next to him with her legs tucked neatly to the side. She sits there, staring off into nothing, with her hands in her lap and this creature just off to her side. Echo wouldn't sleep, she couldn't sleep, especially with not all these mixed emotions running through her mind. Did she ever normally find rest? As an apparition, she never felt fatigued at all. Did she miss any of that? She didn't really even know sometimes.

The DOPPELGÄNGER would awake in the middle of the day on the floor in a small pool of his own sweat. Small insects scampered across the floor in his view, and he opted to stay motionless until his eyes fully opened up. He recalled last night as being an introduction to the Echo Faust, a Poe, and nothing more. He lifted his head up and pushed himself off of the floor with his hands, and he looked at the Poe who had been patient enough to wait several hours for the DOPPELGÄNGER to catch up on his sleep. They stood on the road to Faron Woods. There was a small desire for the DOPPELGÄNGER to have at least a small weapon at hand, but he dismissed the desire as childish. As childish as the form he still maintained.
"A'ight. We better move." the DOPPELGÄNGER said after he let out a yawn and stretched his arms high above his head. Was Faron Woods dangerous? The DOPPELGÄNGER didn't expect to come across too much on the road. With a quick alteration to his form, he would change into a teenage kid with the same characteristics as the young boy that he had imitated before. It all happened in the blink of an eye. "Lez go."

Echo didn't realize the other had awoken at first, her eyes focused on some gravel on the floor at her feet. Anyone could tell from her eyes that she were deep in thought, thinking back on something that moved her far too much than any thought really should. It isn't his words that catch her attention, but the movements of his waking form that draw her eyes to him.
She watches his lips move, but the sound that leaves his lips is drowned out by the noise in her head. She had an idea of what it was he said, and of course she knew what it was they were going to do now. What else would two creatures, whom shouldn't exist in this wretched world, do other than to move forward? "Lead the way, Dämon" she'd speak as her form slowly picks itself up and off the ground. It was time to move forward, time to exist another day, and she did her best not to let show the pain in her aching chest.

"I'm nota demon." the teenage boy corrected Echo as he looked at her. His eyes narrowed at the Poe before he turned his attention back to the road that lay before the two. A small inn which bordered the forest could be seen up ahead, and the DOPPELGÄNGER could feel his stomach grumble. The DOPPELGÄNGER, though, wanted to inspire more harmless fear as he had done in the previous day to the Poe who now followed him; it would be the only meal that would satisfy his hunger. He led the way with a firm step forward, and he had no intention to run to the inn. He had run to the path last night, and he had no intention to physically exert himself for a long period of time.
"You should name meh!" the DOPPELGÄNGER would say to Echo. He walked with his hands in his pockets. The inn was only a stone throw away when the DOPPELGÄNGER would breach the topic of giving himself a name. After all, if they did get split up... that would be the most reliable way for them to actually find each other again. The DOPPELGÄNGER wouldn't want to get split off from his recently acquired companion just yet. Castle Hyrule was a distance away, and the travel would be uneventful without someone to get into trouble with.

So, their journey to the infamous castle begins once more in this brand new day! Echo didn't exactly like the idea of her traveling in broad daylight, especially out in the open like this; being transparent to her is like being bare! It's completely embarrassing and it just is something she doesn't find right! Of course, she wouldn't have to worry about thinking about that matter for too long when the male open's his mouth!
The look on Echo's face is priceless, her face turning a pinkish hue from the other's sudden command. As if Echo should name the other like they are anything significant! How dare he bark such orders at her! This just isn't right, she shouldn't be traveling with such an obscure creature. Though, her face turns to a wide-eyed one as a thought suddenly creeps into her head from somewhere she just can't recall. Perhaps naming the other wouldn't be so bad at all, and perhaps naming him would be beneficial to her; it'd be nice to have someone to call in her time of need, and a creature as legendary as this one would make a good ally (even if they are quite chauvinistic)!
"...Hunark."

The DOPPELGÄNGER was amused at her being flustered by being given commands, but he did not decide it amusing enough to stop their progression forward. The name chosen was a name that was unlike that the DOPPELGÄNGER had ever heard -- it was not a human name, that was for sure. It was an interesting choice to make, but that was only the first name. Or was that the last name? It only mattered if the DOPPELGÄNGER was ever asked, and he needed to make sure that all the facts were straight. At the time that he approached the brown wooden door of the inn, he paused to turn look over his shoulder.
"Thatz the first or last? And what about the other part?" further inquired the DOPPELGÄNGER. There was a loud noise in the inn as he asked his question, and he turned his attention away from Echo to the door. He needed the entire name before he entered the damn inn, and he had no intention to enter anytime before. He was given the ghost the chance to express a little creativity, but he noted that she fully intended to go to her psycho self once more when given the opportunity. A nuisance at best -- but the DOPPELGÄNGER could sense a bit of trust forming between the two. After all, a ghost could only do so much. And it wasn't as if anyone would believe some floating dead spirit.

Echo didn't like the idea of going into the inn at this time, especially when there would be others hanging around in the lobby. A frown is given at the idea, and something in her wants to speak up and tell the other that she's probably going to wait outside and meet him inside where ever the room is that he acquires once he checks in. Perhaps she will tell him that, after she throws enough of her pride away.
Was Hunark a last name or a first name? She hadn't even the slightest idea where she had thought of that name because she had never heard it before. Would it be a first name or a last name? Then, suddenly, it hit her again out of nowhere. It is almost as if she's being injected with memories and knowledge that aren't even her own, or something like that anyways. "Hunark Solo" she breathes, moving very slowly to try and buy her some time from reaching the door.

The DOPPELGÄNGER thought that the name was silly, but it was a name that he could hand out at a whim if asked for his full name. Without further questions to be asked about the inn, the DOPPELGÄNGER pushed through the door to the inn. He didn't ever expect that Echo might be shy about entering scene where she may have to be social. The DOPPELGÄNGER considered that all creatures were inherently social and dodging life would make it very difficult to ever advance. He had automatically assumed that the Poe would have an inherent desire to regain her physical form so that she could truly live among the real world again. In fact, the DOPPELGÄNGER believed that if there was no purpose to a being with a mind, the reason to live would be cease to be a reason.
The inn was not populated save for two men at the bar dressed in heavy armor. They sat on stools and had many empty mugs in front of them that had been emptied recently. Their long swords were angled against the side of the bar in immediate distance. Both of them had removed their helmets, and the DOPPELGÄNGER let out a snicker as their attributes were recorded into his booklet of disguises. The DOPPELGÄNGER had never considered himself to be a spy, but he knew that he could be one if there ever was something in it for him. He would take a seat at the nearest table to the door and give a smile to the female waitress, dressed in a skimpy outfit, as she approached the table and asked what he would be having for a drink. She didn't address Echo in any way.
"Water'z fine." the DOPPELGÄNGER would respond as he rubbed his hand further up his tunic than was appropriate for meeting someone for the first time. The smile that he had held would turn into a devious grin, but the waitress would give him a shake of her head as she walked away. As if completely confident, the DOPPELGÄNGER would turn to Echo and quietly chuckle. Child's laughter which obviously meant the obvious -- I'm going to hit that.

Echo curses underneath her breath for having to walk into a building full of people, and to socialize with others instead of haunting them and being their worst nightmares. She figures though that the inside of the inn would be dark enough to make her seem whole, and sure enough it would be.
Following behind the one she now calls Hunark, her head is bowed down with her eyes watching the male's feet; she follows his steps precisely, trying to make it seem as if she were really walking across the ground. She takes a seat opposite of the male, her hands in her lap and her eyes now looking up into the other's. She still didn't know what his true form was, or how he really looks, and all she's got to base him off of are such laymen looking individuals whom she knows he looks nothing like. ...Would something like him even look human?
When the waiter came around, Echo perked her head up to look at the female. She couldn't help but make a disgusted look at her outfit, and when Hunark made his order Echo opened her mouth to ask for something but it would fall flat. The waitress would walk right off without even acknowledging her. "That stupid verdammte Schlampe" she says out loud, not caring about how loud she was or if anyone heard her.
Pissed off now, her eyes fall back onto Hunark. His demeanor, his expression and that laugh; she knew all too well what he was thinking, and she couldn't help but find him rather disgusting too. A creature like him thinking about things like that, could a doppelganger be the epitome of an incubus and a succubus too? If this one is anything like he seems to Echo, she sure thinks so.

The joke, of course, would be when the waitress would come flying out of the stall that the DOPPELGÄNGER would pin her in after she saw herself completely. It would be an interesting thing to do to some girl who was merely serving tables in the afternoon, but the DOPPELGÄNGER wanted to scare her a little bit. Anyone who had her clothes already off was asking to be put into a situation that would cause fear. Of course, for the time being, the DOPPELGÄNGER needed to appear as if he was flirting with the girl. Shamelessly, of course. "Oh? She seems like a nice lady." the DOPPELGÄNGER said to Echo after her comment. His smile would fade away as he noted that she had taken the seat that was directly across from as opposed to one of the seats that would be next to him. He didn't want to make Echo seem like she had taken a voyage with a pervert. The DOPPELGÄNGER merely knew that all living things were disgusting and thought of that type of thing when presented the opportunity to. In the middle of his thought process, the DOPPELGÄNGER looked up and let out a charming smile to the waitress who brought him water.
"Thankya!" the DOPPELGÄNGER would politely exclaim before he would look at the waitress in the same hungry manner that a man might look at a steak. Of course, he would be attracting the attention of the two knights who sat nearby -- and may also have had their eyes on the prize hours before the DOPPELGÄNGER had arrived. "Say.. we're kinda new to these parts so I'ma wonderin' what direction the woods are in?"
The waitress would answer politely that they needed to head north. She would tell them to make a left after exiting the inn, but the DOPPELGÄNGER wouldn't accept that as an answer. After he took a long sip of his water and ran his tongue along his lips, he would speak. "Canya show me? We've been lost all day... we are lucky that we even found this place..."

Echo's face meets one of her hands instantly, a low muffled whisper escaping her throat with what she really thought about this creature sitting across the table from her! She too could sense the knights becoming a bit ticked off with the fact that someone who looks like they're a greenhorn is trying to make a move on something they think belongs to them. Men are disgusting, and women who try to work their way around the desires of them are just as bad. The whole concept makes Echo sick, and it shows once she peels her face out of her own hand.
Listening carefully to the waitress' words, trying not to mimic her and her dumb sounding voice, her eyes remain staring straight ahead into the doppelganger to make sure he and the female got the hint that she didn't much care about anything going on at the current moment. Echo kind of hoped the two knights would come over and make a scene, that would be interesting; it'd be cute to see how all of that would go down.

The DOPPELGÄNGER would get his way, and he pushed himself away from the table as the waitress told him that she would take him outside and give him a second to point out what direction they should move in. It was also at this very moment that the two knights would stand up from their stools and stare at the young teenage boy that was the DOPPELGÄNGER. While the DOPPELGÄNGER was not oblivious to the knights, he had not expected a drunken stupor to guide them to defend their self-proclaimed prize. They would be a nuisance to deal with, and their weapons would be even more dangerous to deal with than the knights themselves. The DOPPELGÄNGER was not fond of violence. Chaos, however, was exactly what he was going to create.
He exited the inn with the waitress following behind him, and once the door to the inn would shut, he would turn to face the waitress, who was pointing down the road. The knights would reach out and grab their weapons as the DOPPELGÄNGER was receiving instruction to where they should travel. They stumbled away from the bar and to the door as the DOPPELGÄNGER would bring himself closer to the waitress who had exited the door with him. The waitress had no interest in the man who was getting closer to him, but she was surprised by him when he pushed into the inn without a moment of hesitation. In the midst of opening the door and entering the inn, the DOPPELGÄNGER shifted forms entirely. He was suddenly a different woman with even less clothes on than the waitress had on. The woman would brush past the knights -- who had paused in their furious charge to the door to glance at the female who had just entered -- and slide her hand across them with the sickest intentions.
The DOPPELGÄNGER had plans in store for the knights. Evil plans. He just hated to leave the poor Poe who had her hand pushed against her face. So, in the movement past the knights, he spoke in a seductive female voice, "I'm flying solo, boys~"

Echo would turn to watch the knights begin to walk towards the door, and as their weapons were drawn she began to really wonder if the creature would be all right. Having half a mind to stand up and follow to see if she could do some damage control, all of that comes to a halt when the knights stop dead in their tracks when the door to the inn opens.
Echo arches an eyebrow at the sight that comes walking through the door, of course she couldn't stop thinking about how this whole area was filled with people who didn't have any self-respect and chauvinistic pigs who would sit from afar and stare all day long. But, as soon as that Very Sexually Active Woman Who May Sometimes Charge For Her Services opened her mouth, she knew immediately that this female that just came in wasn't human at all; she knew it was the doppelganger she was with, and that just makes everything even worse!
If steam could come out of her ears, or if her head could be frilled to the point of no return out of her sheer aggrivation, it would be happening right now. This is all just too much! She didn't sign up for any of this; the comical nature of this entire situation escapes her, because she is far too serious to enjoy the drama that is enfolding!

And, without even bothering to check if Echo Faust had understood the hidden key in the DOPPELGÄNGER's choice of words, the DOPPELGÄNGER would reach and grip one of the drunken knights by the hand and drag him away from his friend. The knight and the DOPPELGÄNGER would stumble to the small, single stall that existed in the entire inn. The DOPPELGÄNGER would push the knight forward as the door would come to a close, and a click could be heard as the door locked into place. A sinister smile crept across the DOPPELGÄNGER's disguise face as he made solid steps to advance to the knight who had thoughts that he may be the luckiest man in the world.
The female waitress would return shortly after the events had taken place, and she would run into the lone knight who stood in awe at what his fellow brother had acquired. He eyed the waitress with a cheaper look and moved to take a seat at the stool yet again. There was a brief moment of pause in which there was literally no movement in the inn.
Then the door to the single room that had been so adamantly locked would nearly collapse with the knight leading the way, his trousers just barely above his knees. There was no sexually seductive female who would leave the room, but the man who had walked outside with the waitress would. In fact, the man who had left with the waitress was even more ill clothed than the knight. "I didn't mean ta do that!!" the teenager would call out to the shell-shocked knight. He had no time to tell his friend at the confusing, unimaginable event that had taken place in the stall, but the story was already told by the fumbling and lack of clothing between the two individuals. Without a moment of hesitation, the other knight would follow his brother out of the inn and down the road at a hasted speed.
"I guess I'ma need ta get my clothes.. one second, Faust." the DOPPELGÄNGER would call out to the Poe. While this would not be where they would be living for the rest of the day, the DOPPELGÄNGER had gotten his revenge. And it had filled the gap that he had in his stomach.

Echo was sure that the doppelganger would come sit with her and she'd have to sit there and stare at the other's form with their lack of clothes and what have you. Her eye would twitch so violently, she'd lose her mind! But instead, things went completely different than she thought they would! The doppelganger went off with the knight into the head, and Echo knew immediately what it was that was about to go down. The pit in her stomach is too great to describe in words, her large sigh and her body that leans forward to lay her head on the table speaks enough volumes with how it is she feels. Though, shortly after her head would meet the table, the knight would fly out with his clothing completely off his lower body. Echo didn't have the time to look away, but thankfully there wasn't much to see.
When the boy came out, with his own clothes completely stripped off of his body, her face would turn pink as he would talk to her whilst in such a grotesque state! If she could melt from how embarrassing this all was she would; she thought that phasing through the floor and disappearing from this place would be a good idea at this point! The dramatics are just becoming too much! What is it that this doppelganger was trying to prove?
Regardless, there she would wait for the creature to go retrieve his clothes. Another sigh would pass her lips as her eyes shut behind her lids, and her mind drifts into a place that she can't quite label at this moment in time. She thought about how nice it would be to just sit there for a little while, eyes shut, not caring about anything at all. Just another day, she guesses, just how things always are. Echo couldn't help but wonder what it is that comes next with this doppelganger; she couldn't imagine what traveling with him had in store for her.
