Hunting [Plot Villain]

[MIFF]

Miff was annoyed. Miff was very annoyed. Miff was very angry. Miff was really angry. Miff was really mad. Miff was extremely mad!

It was one thing for Onox to try to get away from the mightiest monster in Hyrule. That was only natural. But for him to actually succeed!? The idea of that was enraging! Miff wouldn't have heeded the newcomer's warning to stand back either way but luckily he was so busy fuming and hopping up and down in anger as the tunnel started to collapse that he stayed where he was, out of range of Zafun's Bio-Electric Riffing. The sheer volume of the noise snapped the Mad Scrub back to attention however and he saw that the tunnel had been blown wide and clear before it could even be fully blocked. Onox was still within reach!

Charging full steam ahead even as Zafun suggested he do so the Deku rushed down the hallway and saw Onox entering an even colder place. Before any of the others could get in his way again the angry Mad Scrub hopped into the air and spit a Deku Bubble as he ran closer into range of the titan, aiming at the general's right knee again.

Miff was seriously sick of Onox not just taking his beating like a man.

[Kinsley]

At the sight of the falling rubble coming dangerously close to her while she ran, Kinsley stops herself from moving any further; The heels of her leather boots made a noise as she slid to a complete stop. She could have tried to run and dodge pieces of the falling rubble, but however she was in a narrow place which gave the rubble a higher chance of hitting her. She was not as reckless as the knight or Deku in her group, and didn't want to risk hurting herself.

Then from behind, someone shouted for her to move out of the way. This voice was different than any of the other people in the group. A new person. So, not wanting to waste anymore time, she followed the new guy's command. Swiftly and quickly, she retreated to the back of this newcomer. From there, she watches him perform some sound based ability at the rubble that was starting to pile up. She did smile when his trick appeared to be effective.

"Thanks!"

Right after the rubble was blown away, she ran with the group through the now cleared pathway. It wasn't long before they caught up with the titan. Other than the knight with them, the Deku also proved to be a good decoy to distract the titan. After he fired another one of his bubbles, Kinsley took this chance to attempt to run past the titan again and snatch whatever he is seeking. It's only fair for making her lose her bag of stolen valuables.

As Onox reached the top of the staircase before the altar, his attention was momentarily grabbed by the sound of the roar from Zafun’s guitar, which only made him look over his shoulder purely because it was a sound he had never heard before in this world. Watching the debris suddenly separate and fly in his direction, it occurred to Onox that this was someone new, who probably would have called for a more interesting battle among the woods themselves. Aware that the others would most likely charge him after the debris struck him, the Dark General quickly acted to block the attack.

Directing an arm in the direction of the debris as he turned, a small whirlwind would form just in front of him, enough to simply deflect the debris away from himself, sending it harmlessly to the ground at the base of the staircase. Noticing Kinsley rushing behind what seemed to be another Deku attack through the whirlwind, Onox would send his attack down the stairs towards the group, although the attack itself would do no more aside from perhaps knock them off-balance, preventing travel behind him up the staircase. Turning back to the altar, Onox would then fill with glee as he studied his target.

It was a staff-like object, silver in colour, the top of the staff possessing four small holes as if objects could be slotted into them. And one of the holes was filled, with a blue jewel-shaped object. The base of the staff was encased in ice, much like the majority of the altar itself, so even if Kinsley had been able to get to the altar and intercept the General’s attempts, it was unlikely she could have retrieved it from its arctic tomb. For Onox however, this was no issue and he quickly sought to grab at the base, the strength of his grip crushing through the ice as he pulled the staff out before then holding it high above his head in triumph.

”BEHOLD, THE ROD OF SEASONS IS MINE!”

It was at this point where the whirlwind blocking the bottom of the stairs would suddenly die down to purely now block the group from attempting to travel up towards him. The bellow from Onox would cause the entire room to shake, in which small bits from the ceiling around the hole above would collapse to the ground around the group, making the hole wider to the point that the horizon in the distance would clearly show the outline of Death Mountain far in the distance. Clutching the rod tightly in one hand, the General started to roar with laughter, causing yet more to fall as he exclaimed about the group’s intentions over the course of their fight.

”HAHA, ANNOYING LITTLE PESTS! YOU ARE ALL LUCKY I DIDN’T CRUSH YOU LIKE THE MAGGOTS YOU ARE!”

This time aiming his speech at Kinsley, Onox lowered his tone a little to speak in a more polite manner as he addressed her, almost bowing a little bit as he spoke.

”It would appear I got a bit excited during that fight! I try to be a gentleman at all times, but it appears I got carried away. I trust you’re not too hurt by this encounter!”

Grinning as he stood back up straight, still gleeful about having found the Rod, his intention to launch into another speech was suddenly cut short by a sound that even eclipsed that which he had been making himself. Turning slightly to his right in the direction of Death Mountain to gaze upon a large plume of ash rising from the top, followed by the release of both energy and magma as the volcano erupted. The explosion itself caused the cavern the group were in to shake under the tremors, with even Onox himself having to adjust his standing to prevent being toppled. Gazing upon the volcano, Onox was almost awe-struck for a moment, certainly surprised at what he had just witnessed. Following this, an explosion of light suddenly appeared, seeming to light up the entirety of the world outside, spreading up towards the heavens, seeming to come from the area where the Temple of Time was. Again, the Dark General was effectively clueless as to what had just happened.

That was certainly not in the script.

Dismissing matters with a rather sinister chuckle, Onox knew it would be in his best interests to investigate. Looking back down at the group below, he pointed a finger dramatically as he bid them farewell.

”This is where this chapter ends! Your pathetic attempts were no match against my power!”

Slowly, a whirlwind would start up around Onox, surrounding him completely as it worked its way up from the base, leaving his head revealed as he made one last parting comment.

”Be thankful you did not experience the full powers of darkness!”

The whirlwind would then cover Onox completely, almost doubling in size before the base then moved from the floor of the altar up along a pillar as the whirlwind rose, using the walls and the ceiling to push itself up towards the hole above and then slowly making its way out through the hole to the open world above, before then travelling off into the distance along the path Onox had taken into the forest in the first place.

The Dark General had left with the Rod.

"Stupid... wind... let me at 'im!" Miff cursed as he flung himself into the barricading tornado at the entrance to the altar over and over again. Onox's speech about a rod and maggots and whatever else didn't matter. only getting past this cowardly shield mattered! Being the smallest and lightest of the group Miff wasn't just thrown off-balance when he tried to pass it but completely flung back on his butt. The mad Scrub didn't let that deter him from trying over and over again, though. Miff didn't flinch when the world itself seemed to start shaking. No doubt it was simply reacting to Miff's greatness and raw power as he raged against his foe's pathetic defences. Yes, the world itself shook under the mighty Deku's anger and strength!

Finally the winds subsided and Onox was carried away up through the exit in the ceiling. The small Deku charged into the alter, slipping and sliding on the icy floor a few times and shivering from the cold. Eventually he got to the spot below the window and roared(Or squeaked) furiously.

"Come back here so I can kick your butt!"

Pointing his spout downward Miff fired an Air Puff that literally rocketed the Mad Scrub up and out of the altar and through the same hole the General of Darkness had used. Miff fell back to the earth outside and rolled a few times before getting back to his feet and giving fresh chase. He'd spit many Deku Nuts as he chased the whirlwind, no doubt, but it seemed he was not destined to catch his prey this day despite his obvious greatness.

Still, that didn't mean eh wouldn't try.

[Seayn]

Seayn let out a heavy sigh, frustrated that he'd been unable to stop the rampaging titan. Not only had he failed to stop him from injuring someone, but he'd also failed in his attempts to slow him down or hinder him. He didn't know what this rod of seasons was and he didn't know anything about anything that was going on. He slumped his shoulders, staring dejectedly at the whirlwind that once again prevented him from interacting with the Dark General. He was going to find this Onox, and he was going to get some answers. He turned away, stomping determinedly away. He knew that the most injured person here was Enzair, so he went to see if he could aid the hylian that had been wounded.

[Kinsley]

Kinsley fell flat on her hide, when she was knocked off balance by the whirlwind. She quickly got up and proceeded to rub her sore fanny. So looked up at the dark lord from below the staircase as the raging winds blocked her path. She was quite disappointed in herself for not being able to get past the giant, a second time. But she already knew that he would setup something to keep her from coming close. For something that seemed to be a monster from it's appearance, it was quite intelligent. She almost wanted to praise it.

And she was not only surprised by that, but also his politeness to her. She now understood why he didn't try to hurt her as much as the others. After he had gotten the staff, she knew this battle was lost.

"It's was fun, but I must go. Farewell!"

Her body then disappears from sight from her using her invisibility, and exits the temple.

[Zafun Strider]

Zafun smirked, sensing the adventure that lurked around the corner as he strolled up to the wall of wind, and watched the general of darkness sweep off into the sky. In every term, he wasn't at all impressed with the quality of the enemy. Sweeping a pair of dark lenses over his eyes he strolled up into the altar, hands shoved in the inner pockets of the brown poncho, pointing his index finger at the golden beast (with miff still hot on his heels). "Bang."

[Azler Wilder]

Onox and the warriors who had fought against him had left, taking their rewards and traveling off to new adventures.

In the heavens above, a pair of soulless gray eyes watched the scene for just a few moments longer before disappearing…
