~The Desert Raven~RACE,Full-Blooded-GerudoGENDER,Farah is a FemaleBATTLE ROLE,Utilizes extreme mobility and throwing daggers to eliminate her enemies, you could simply say she is a Ranged DPS.BATTLE STYLE,Casual and Story Style.AGE,She’s officially turned twenty-five this year and isn’t happy about it. Why, because that means she’s fifteen year’s closer to being middle aged, and who wants to be middle aged? D:ALLIANCE,Its easy for me to say that Farah literally doesn’t give a rats hairy ass about anything going on in the world, she’s so excluded from the Hylian/Twili/Gerudo/etc Alliances that she barely knows about them- even though she came from one of them. If ever brought up, she’d prolly tell you she’s neutral- a chaotically neutral person though. Doesn’t matter if you’re good or bad, stand in her way, and you’re going to get it.PERSONALITY,Farah, Farah, Farah… Where to start. Well let’s start off with her good things shall we? Farah is a courageous woman, never letting anything stop her as long as it isn’t a cute girl. With this courageousness comes determination that is driven beyond compare, she’ll stop at nothing to get what she wants. And if that means putting a couple daggers into your face, then she’ll do it. She’s outgoing may that be a bit of an upstanding, preferably she’s a loner but when she actually gets to talking she’s pretty cool. Which also comes down to her usual stoic behavior, which is an odd combination with her outgoingness, cool and collective- that’s when someone isn’t pissing her off, she’s a rather chill person. Underlying between that is her unbridled faith for herself she believes she can do anything put in front of her- even stuff that requires her to be smart …which she isn’t. Her focused nature brings her to get the job done whenever hired to do anything and as a mercenary its very important too.
However, we simply can’t folly on her good things as they can be horribly overlooked thanks to her bads. Perverted? Oh you have no idea, considering that she can’t keep her eyes off of any woman that looks her age and carries the same beauty? Oh it’s a huge problem for her, which brings her pirate-like nature to surface, she can be very rude –vulgar even- she doesn’t really give a shit if you are the Queen of Italy, the only thing she’d care about is the fact if you’re hot or not, sad right? Which brings up her indifference with people, she seriously just tends to hate people, unless your hot- then you have an excuse, but otherwise? She hates you, why because she can’t trust anyone, that’s right she’s mistrustful of almost everyone, it takes a lot to earn her trusted. Her pained past and horrible nature has brought this upon her, which actually shows she’s a brooding person. But that isn’t the worse of it, she can have a horrible angerproblem if you’re not careful. That stoic nature can melt in a minute and the amount of obscenities flying at you will make you want to curl up and wish you’d never been born…
On another note, Farah is a lesbian, not because of some horrible incident revolving around men, its just when she was young she couldn’t help but feel attracted to a lot of her clan. She also has an issue with water, which is why she isn’t a pirate yet. Why does she hate water? Well, water means no parkour, no parkour means no running around being a badass and flipping off of shish, that and being horribly gimped... So she’d rather stay very far from water thank you. What else can be said… I think I got the jist of her, moving on~APPEARANCE,
battle-dress | casual-dressHow to describe Farah, insanely hot? Yeah pretty much. She’s your typical caramel skinned Gerudo, though her chest is somewhat plumper than the norm, she seems a tad bit shorter too, standing at about five-seven. She sports white hair which will be explained later and she also has red eyes which will also be explained later as she use to have a natural hair-color of red and blue eyes before being infused with the Desert Raven. But anyways, other than that, she’s simply hot, that’s the best way to describe her physical form, though she does have a nasty gash on her leg and arm from a certain event in her past.
She’s commonly seen wearing an outfit that looks like something out of a western movie, a fantasy-like western movie; it has these curved padded boots to start, that coil in an Elvin-like pattern to her thighs, where they almost look like thigh-high socks. She wears a bodysuit of forms, though clasped together with leather up to the brassier like armor over her chest. She doesn’t wear much other than that because she has to do a lot of rapid movement, she insist she’ll never get hit, which is why she’ll never have to wear much. She does; however, have a cloak of forms on her back that helps with obscuring movement; add in her brimmed hat and the odd turtleneck scarf and you have yourself a Farah in combat clothing.
Her other attire, which is also based more off her FC by the way,its more of her chillaxing outfit, where she’s only seen wearing this when she’s trying to be chill. It’s partly reminiscent of kimono, even having the bow wrapped around her waist with a silk tie and glass bead to go. However, it doesn’t have arm sleeves, and the gown cuts off right above her knee and slides to the left exposing her left leg to the world. It is visible that she wears cut off thigh-high socks, and something close to tabi as footwear, don’t think she can’t maneuver in this, this was actually her training garment of forms when she was a bit younger.WEAPONS,Punching Gloves of Grand Punchingness That’s really not their name but really they are gloves with steal knuckle caps, they are swell for doing one thing, punching the living soul out of a person’s face.
Kicking Shoes of Kicking Awesomeness: These shoes are also designed for her parkourism, contained steel bottoms with claws rims and sharp point at the toe, getting kicked by this will hurt so bad, like wish-you-hadn’t-met-her bad.
ITEMS,The only item she carries with her right now is her sister’s locket.ABILITIES,[Wrath of the Desert Raven:] Well you see she comes from a very secretive clan of Gerudo, several years into her past, little Farah, like all the children born into this clan are forced to house powerful spirits of the desert within them. Being instilled with the Desert Raven, which by legends was something of a white, vicious eagle. She was granted some of its powers through this connection. A few aesthetic changes of her are her red eyes and white hairs, which were prominent features of the beast. However to actually get to the actual danger of this ability, it has granted her insane mobility. When I say the only thing that can stop her is lava and water, I mean it, walls can be trotted on like they are the floor, ceilings can be kicked off of or used to her advantage, she can flip and kick on just about anything. In a way she’s a master of Hylain Parkourso doesn’t exist but I’m calling it that. She can literally use any surface to her advantage with agility and dexterity that is murderous.
[Feathers of the Desert Raven:] Well, this is her actual main method of attacking. It forms a rotation of six crude glowing daggers around her wrist. They float, rotate and sit there; until however she commands them to fly forward, with simply thinking it. They fly at baseball speed, if not a little faster and can puncture light steel rather easily. When summoned she can either fire them all off at once, or semi-fire them. Each one that is fire takes a post to ‘teleport’ back to her wrist. Meaning whatever they strike, whether it be flesh or an object, they wisp away and then return to their former position. The daggers themselves aren’t ethereal; they can be swatted away, pulled, tugged, kicked, whatever.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Dodge: Completely avoid one physical or magical attack without moving in or out of range. Three post cooldown.[/blockquote]
Beguile: Amassing the Gerudo’s feminine wiles, the target loses the ability to physically attack (loses one action slot) for two turns.
HISTORY,
In the past, there existed a clan of Gerudo who called themselves the Arua. They existed out in the farther reaches of the desert, away from their sisters, away from what was considered natural Gerudo civilization. So deep in the desert, creatures of vast sizes and species can be found. This tribe worshiped these beings as the gods of their lands, all under the Sun Goddess herself. As a way to worship these beings, they sealed their souls into every child that was born.
Farah was born into this rite herself. Several years after her mother- who was leader of the Arua- met a man for herself and beckoned children. Through her pregnancy they instilled the spirit of the Desert Raven into her child. The Desert Raven was a white massive eagle of forms, which scoured the deserts and devoured anything that moved, able to take in sunlight and throw it back at its foes in the reflection of its ivory feathers, it was beast to never be reckoned with.
However, upon sealing it within herself, something unexpected happened. Lerya, Farah’s mother, had Twins. Both were named Lulu and Lala…
With Desert Raven’s soul now severed between two children, it created an issue between the people of the Arua, they specifically chose her child to be the leader of this clan after her death. But by having twins, it meant that one would have to be picked. Yet, with the soul split, they cannot simply divide the two- no the power would be halved. For now the decision was laid to rest, and the two were raised like any child of the Arua, brutal training and nothing else.
It wasn’t until Farah/Lulu turned eighteen, that it all came down on her, their mother was growing old, and weak. A new leader had to be chosen, so on one faithful rainy day she confronted her sister and the clan who decided that the two must battle each other to the death, in ordered to decide eh was to be leader. The two ventured into the deserts and entered into an extremely gruesome battle. And as the two tired it seemed Lala was to be the victor. Yet, she simply couldn’t do it…
She couldn’t kill her own sister, no matter how much it meant to the clan, even as she stared over her. Knowing that since she was born first, she was the oldest; so she took the matter into her own hands. She took hold of her sister’s arm and pointed the already emulated daggers to her heart. Telling Farah that she wasn’t going to let her little sister live on like this. Farah, was unable to watch as she drove the daggers through her and punctured her heart.
Farah didn’t leave her side until she finally passed away, which was thirty minutes or so, and wondered what this all meant, why they had to go through all this.
She felt no different, no feeling of completion, no feeling of freedom. In fact, she felt helpless, scared that the person she relied on the most was gone now. She returned to the clan, and took herself as leader of the people. When it happened. It came with a violent rush and she saw all her people being torn apart, as what looked like a monstrous beast was killing everyone. But as she watched the madness that befell her clan, she saw it was her sister, being driven by the separate soul of the Desert Raven.
Wanting to complete itself, it resurrecting her, and magnified her passion for her sister to drive them closer. Lala had become insane with protection and slaughtered everything she saw in the clan, anything that seemed to be able to harm her sibling. Farah was going to stop her, going to put an end to all of it. When her very mother took her arm and told her not too, she spoke words to Farah that she would never forget, words that sounded like this:“We brought this madness upon us,
Not you, not Lala.
It was our fault. And now our people must pay for what we have done.
For we have committed the worse sin imaginable
Pitted family against family
The purest of love, within siblings
Tainting by our dark needs, our horrible greed.
We deserve to die.”
She told Farah to run, that she would try and sooth the angered spirit that was in her sister. Farah refused to at first, but realized that if anyone could fix this situation, it was her mother. So, she ran, ran far from the deserts, from the clan. She felt like an outcast, even with the other Gerudo tribes and found herself a pillager, a thief. She had become a rogue forgotten by her people, a mystery to this world and the next. Two years after she found herself living in Hyrule city.
She became a hired hand, a mercenary. The lowest of the low, and enjoyed it. She’s made her name as the Desert Raven. Yet still her mind wondered as to what was happened to her people. A year after her settling in, she finally became curious and asked some Gerudo Sister’s of what happened to the clan. The details were vague, but they mentioned that the madness had ended, and though the clan was wiped out, their village lay as a cemetery for their people.
To Farah, this meant that her mother had slain Lala…
But actually, she learned that wasn’t the case. After one of her jobs, she had to rest at the Gerudo fortress, where she over heard some Gerudo’s speaking of a desert legend. That a maiden walked the deserts, her sorrowful cries, drawing anyone close where she struck them down with daggers as hands. Instantly, she knew that could only be one person, so she ventured into the desert herself to finally put an end to all this.
It didn’t take long, since the spirit within them drew them closer. And she ran into the mentally unstable Lala who seemed to be aimlessly roaming the deserts for the last three years. Farah told her that she needed to die, to finally go to rest. But Lala disapproved, saying, “I need to live longer, long enough to protect you.” The two got into a horrible struggle again, but it ended the same, Lala looking over Farah, ready to kill her. But just like before, she couldn’t.“You’re just not ready yet, you’re ripe sister.
You haven’t slaughtered enough yet.
So, let’s have a little competition,
Come back with a bounty as high as mine,
With a kill record as impressive
And fight me again, hopefully this time you can kill me.”
Those words were said as her sister turned away and walked into the desert storm. Farah could only watch as the other vanished away…
And what did this mean? It gave Farah a purpose, she strived to be the worst criminal on the block- a criminal with standards of course. To this day she strives to be the best, to be better than her sister, so that when they meet again, she can kill her.
