Mabari looked at Jin upon his return of memory and growled. Better late than never on remembering I suppose. Leaving the Oasis, he walked over to Merik and sat down next to him. In the back of his mind sat the question Mabari now endlessly wondered. Could Merik actually trace their every movement? If so that could he a double edged sword.....
Oocca makes sense. So Merik, your a criminal right? Head of the Pirates, King of Thieves, and your walking right into the Castle to meet Zelda alone? I'm not comfortable with this. When we arrive, take the night at an inn, I'll do my work then, and go with you the next day."
[/i] The thought of Merik walking into a castle of those who probably wished to arrest him just didn't seem logical, and they wouldn't expect much from his pet dog. Mabari would act as the perfect aid in the situation. Then again, he could see why Merik wanted to go alone. He had reasons, but Mabari was told to protect Merik. Even more, Mabari had a good memory, and outlining and remembering the place and guard routines would come in handy when he stole from their later. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Alright Jin, look for this Chancellor while you're in Castle Town and see if he might have anything useful for us." Merik said as he rose and replaced his bag on Desertfury, nearly ready to ride through the next stretch of desert. "Hardly a known criminal, most of the actual crimes I committed that left witnesses were done in disguise; very few outside of the Gerudo and the pirates know that I'm the Pirate King and King of Thieves is more of a title generally connected to the Gerudo King. I've been inside the Castle a few times, always in disguise of course, and I'm on fairly good terms with Zelda; plus it would cause too much political backlash if she actually had anything she could try and arrest me for. Not to mention the disguise I've got for this little trip works a lot better if I'm alone to blend in."
With that he reached into the other sack and pulled out the helmet of a Hylian Knight.
"I don't expect the guards to give one of their own too much trouble." he said with a smirk as he put it back in the bag.

"So... we won't be going with you to see Princess Zelda? I am a little saddened by that... I wanted to meet her." Jin said, rubbing his chin before shrugging. "Oh well, I am sure that there will be another time for that, its not like she's going anywhere anytime soon." He said, getting to his feet and walking to his horse, stroking its muzzle and giving it a carrot.
"I'll track down Enzair and see if he can tell me any more on this Raven Shade fellow, and hopefully we'll get information that we need in order to catch the criminal. Possibly even learn the name of the Zora who survived and find out more info on him." Jin added, getting onto the horses back. "Lisa, Armor." He said, and in a moment the tortoise covered him head to toe in the living armor.
"So how long do you think this is going to take? I have almost mastered the pirate stone, and a few more miles with nothing but practice should help me out." Jin asked, before adding, "We also are going to need a meeting place outside of the city, aren't we?"

Mabari nodded; considering he didn't really have to much of knowledge of Merik's identity prior to him joining the crew, he could see how this would actually come off better if he stayed behind. He still didn't like it though, and from Merik's track record, Zelda would end up pregnant within a few months.
Two strange men and a dog meeting outside of the town in the middle of night? A little sketchy if you ask me. Its always best to meet in an alleyway near a tavern, then we can go in, get a room, and rest. The taverns are always so busy, chances of anyone taking notice of us is very slim if we all go in at separate times. He stood up, and prepared to head out for the next oasis.

"We'll get a set of rooms at one of the inns, it shouldn't be a problem." Merik replied as he climbed back into the saddle. "We've got a few hours until the next oasis and that'll be the last stop before we reach the original fortress. It's possible that we may run into some restless spirits there; Stalfos, Redeads and Gibdos occasionally turn up from below but for the most part it should just be Poes making noise if anything."
With those final words the Gerudo set off into the sands for the next oasis.

"The Original Fortress? Poes? Stalfos? Sounds like an adventure just waiting to happen." Jin said excitedly, nudging his horse forward after Merik. "What happened to the old fortress?" He asked, though not toward anyone in particular as they rode off, keeping his eyes to the front.

Silently agreeing to Meriks words, he followed on. Poes didn't frighten him, but Gibodos made him uneasy. He hated the whole lot, as his attacks would be particularly useless against them. The journey was going to take awhile, and passing through the mountains would be reminiscent of the last time he and Jin passed through.
Looking to Jin, he licked his lips. The Fortress? Termites.
