Mabari burrowed himself in the snow, buried by it almost completely. His head was peaking out of the body of snow, and he looked around periodically, searching for anyone whom could be caring a blanket or something. As of now he was using the snow to perserve his body heat, which was amazingly effective.
He hadn't been here long, but it was his first time venturing into the Province, and he was not enjoying it.

The snow was a little higher then what he had normally been used to. He had to push against it just to keep moving forward, the snow stopping just a bit below his knees. However, Jin just kept pushing onward through the snow, aiming to check out the ruins that where rumored to be at the top of the mountain. He held the thick wolfos cloak around his body as he continued to push onward. The snow and the wind made it to really cold tonight, he just wondered how far he would have to walk to find out where the ruins were.
"Gaaaah! Why does such interesting places have to be so hard to reach!?" Jin called out, angrily. He then shivered and pulled the cloak tighter to his body. He could see a few small traces of something else that had been walking around in the snow, and he just had to question what else had been here.

Mabari heard the voice and he shot his head to the pathway, staring at figure who bursted out a rather odd phrase. Nothing about this place was interesting at all. In fact, he just wanted to get out of here. He wasn't really affected by the cold to the point to where it hurt him, as he had fur and all but he wasn't exactly feeling the best right now. He wanted that cloak, but if he took it the man would die.
"Grrrrah! RUGH!" He growled, then barked, then continued to show his teeth to the man. Maybe he would drop the cloak and run?

A strange creature appeared, and Jin simply stared at it for a moment, looking at the creature for a moment. He just watched it, listening to it as it growled and barked at him. Jin was confused as to why some strange creature would randomly appear from the snow itself, even though it didn't look like a wolfos that he seemed to encounter whenever he walked this mountain.
Jin looked at the creature a bit more and then gave it a smile. "Hiya Dog! What are you doing all the way out here, its freezing!" Jin said, kneeling down a bit and looking at Mabari. "Do you have an owner somewhere up here or are you just an adventurer like me?" He asked, rubbing his chin.

If Mabari could of facepalmed, he would of. Jin was obviously not in hold of telepathic abilities, and it was no surprise that he was going to assume Mabari to be nothing more than a simple dog. It was a bad day for him, and he wasn't in the mood for dealing with it.
"RUGH!"
He rose from the snow and it immediately began melting around his feet and black flamed engulfed them; the same fire also engulfed his teeth, and Mabari crouched, his hair rising and his black enlaced teeth snaring. It wasn't at Jin though. Behind him stood three Wolfos, ironically, and Mabari was clearly looking past Jin.

Jin blinked as black fire surrounded the feet and teeth of the dog and his eyes sparkled as he looked at him. There was something so very amazing about magic that Jin always seemed to enter into a child-like wonderment when he saw it being used. Whoever this dog was, it was much more interesting then a normal pet dog. Jin had to wonder why the strange magic dog thing was growling at him so much, its not like Jin had done much to the strange creature, though he did have some dried meat with him.
It was when he heard the growling behind him that Jin turned his head and looked down the snarling maws of the three wolfos. Jin hoped they weren't mad at him for wearing part of their family to keep him warm. Jin turned and faced Mabari once more and smiled, not worrying about the wolfos at the moment, though he was ready in case they attacked. If anyone could see beneath the cloak that covered his body, they would see that his couched form was covered in shields. One covering his entire back and two bucklers covering his sides.
"Hmmm... so do you think that they'd leave us alone if I gave them some dried meat?" Jin asked Mabari with a hopeful smile on his face.

Mabari figured he would express to Jin that he could understand his language perfectly, and that his intelligence was much higher than a simple dogs. He shook his head no, and walked forth, stopping at Jin's side and crouching down at the small group of Wolfos. As he walked, his black flamed continued to melt the surrounding snow, and Mabari hoped to end this fight quickly. If Jin had a knife on him, they could skin the fur off for extra warmth.
"Rugh!"
He barked at the three beasts, and they all returned the gesture with Howls, signalling to Mabari that they meant for combat. He had invaded their territory after all.

Jin stood up as Mabari walked past him and tossed the cloak aside for now, his bucklers glistening lightly in the faint light, his body crouched down a little low and his arms up, ready to protect him while also striking back at them. "Well, I don't know whats your deal magic fire dog, but we finish this up, find someplace less cold, and have wolfos for lunch, sound good?" He asked Mabari, leaning back and forth for a few moments before letting out a growl of his own.
"Woof." He finally said, and watched as one of the wolfos lunged at him, teeth bared and claws aimed at his body. Jin moved toward the beast with both his bucklers up, striking it back and having a little power-struggle, the wolfos trying to bite at him from the other side of the bucklers. "Nice feral wolfos. Good feral wolfos." He taunted, pushing back a bit.

How unfortunate that these Wolfos were to stumble upon Mabari at this point in time; he was not generally in the understanding mood. On the flipside, Mabari was still canine and would not eat a Wolfos, for it just seemed....wrong. As all the Wolfos came forth into his range, some attacking at Jin initially, he put his skills into play.
Running forth and moving just 15 meters away from Jin, he figured he was at a safe distance, and two of the Wolfos were still within ten meters from him. Letting out a fierce Crushing Howl, which would deal Heavy damage to all enemies within that 10 meter range, the snow shifted slightly and the Wolfos fell back into the ground. Slowly they rose again and Mabari took a defensive stance.

Jin watched as his new friend let out a loud howl, which seemed to effectively hurt the two Wolfos that were closed to it. A smile grew wide on his face and Jin used his strength to toss the wolfos attacking him to the side. "Awesome dog thing!" Jin yelled in amazement, jumping back from the wolfos as it tried to bite him.
He moved back a few feet before charging forward, bringing his buckler up into the face of the wolfos before kicking it in its side, sending it rolling along the ground briefly. It stood up and growled louder at Jin, more then just angry at him. Jin was still ready to go though, cracking his knuckles and grinning.

Mabari watched as a wolfos lunged at him, the other one hanging back to recover somewhat more. Dodging the attack, he bit down into the Wolfos' kneck. It yelped out, and Mabari let go, jumping back as it sprawled into the snow, attempting to soothe and stop the bleeding.
"Grrrrr..."
Mabari growled a warning; neither was down for the count yet, and if anything Mabari had only injured and angered the other Wolfos.

Jin pulled his shield from his back and swung it upward, catching the Wolfos he was fighting on its chin and sent it rolling back from him again. It got to its feet, shakily at first, before growling at Jin and charging once more, though he was ready for it, holding his large shield in front of him and putting his shoulder into it, feeling the impact against the shield.
He managed to knock the wolfos he was fighting against back toward the other two and stood next to Marabi, smiling at the canine companion. "I don't know who you are, but we've battled together, so that makes us friends. Lets just not die in battle together, alright?" He said with a nod before facing the wolfos once more, the large shield covering his right arm fully, the large rounded part near his shoulder.

Poetic words, but Mabari had no intention of dying today. These Wolfos weren't anything compared to the Goblins he and that one female had taken down. That was a rather crazy time.
Looking to Jin, and then to the Wolfos, he stopped and came to a fierce realizaition. Looking up the mountain side, there was a small section of snow that looked mildly unstable. "Rugh!" He barked at it, trying to draw Jins attention to the loose blanket. If they could get the Wolfos right in front of it, then he could just use his howl to start a miniture avalanche.

Jin was standing, facing off against the wolfos and in some strange set of circumstances, growling right back at them, since this wasn't the first time he had fought against the white furred beasts. You have to be tough and not back down if you wanted to gain any ground and control the battle with them, he thought to himself, so he needed to be as fierce as they where vocally.
However, when it seemed like he was the only one growling on their side, he looked over at Mabari, and noticed he was looking at something other then the wolfos, which might of been a mistake since he too was now not paying attention to them. A bark from the canine ally made Jin look at him and then where he was looking. His eyes tied to make a connection when he saw a bit of snow from the area Mabari was looking roll down.
For a moment Jin's mind went to one of the books he had read about snow and the dangers of loud noises near freshly fallen powder on the sides of mountains, that avalanches could trap adventurers beneath hundreds of pounds of snow. Granted, what they had to work with wasn't hundreds of pounds, but it was easily something they could use to their advantage. Jin faced the wolfos and began to circle around them, walking widely and growling threateningly at them.
He hoped he understood what Mabari meant, and was thinking correctly at least.

Mabari followed Jin, keeping right next to him. As they did, they were able to trick the Wolfos into circling right into the Avalanches range. The only problem was once they initiated it, they would have to get out of the way. Tension was growing and while Mabari attempted to find a way to start the Avalanche, the Wolfos were searching for openings in their stance.
Charging forth into the three, he stopped just short of the small pack. Growling, he prepared to let out another Crushing Howl that would drop the Avalanche right on them. If he couldn't make it in time, he would have to hope that Jin could pull him out quick enough.

Jin watched as Mabari moved in front of the wolfos and he waited for the canine ally to do its plan, whatever its plan turned out too be. "Don't take too long or else they'll attack." Jin said, examining the area around them as he waited for something to happen. If the avalanche began, Jin would make sure to get out of the way quickly, and he was having the feeling that he would have to help Mabari out as well.

Mabari watched as they prepared to launch onto him. Dashing forth, he let out his Crushing Howl. As the soundwaves racked into the snow, it crunched once, then quickly began to slide down at the small group. Feverishly sprinting out of the way, he was not as lucky as he hoped. He felt the weight of the snow catch his hind legs, and pull him forth, burying him in feet of snow from the legs and back.
Looking around, he did not see any of the Wolfos, but remained completely stuck under the snow, his head free fortunately.

Jin had tried to rush over to help Mabari as the canine let out its howl, but the snow as a bit faster then he had originally thought, and he was swept underneath the rolling waves of white as well, loosing all sense of direct for a few moments as he lay there. However, with enough force, Jin popped out of the snow and took deep breaths before looking around him, his gaze falling upon Mabari's head not too far from where he was buried.
Walking over to the Magic Fire Dog, Jin lowered himself in the snow and dug Mabari out of the snow before falling onto his back, panting a bit, but feeling good. "Ha... well.. that certainly cut short that battle... but those wolfos might be able to free themselves in a bit, if they don't run out of air first." He said, grinning happily.

Mabari himself could have used his flames to melt his way out, but that would of taken to long and then he would of been wet and most likely have died. Thankfully, he had a new ally to aid him. Licking his face, Mabari stood up and stretched his legs, looking back over the thick avalanche they caused.
Mabari definately wasn't sticking around to find out if they survived. Looking to Jin, he looked down the path the man had come up, and figured now was when they parted. "Rugh!" He barked, and bowed his head. With that, he walked off, leaving this god forbidden place.

Jin smiled as Mabari was free and leaving the mountain. He decided that his destiny today would be further up the mountain. "Take care Magic Fire Dog." Jin called out, pulled his wolfos coat close to his body, and began to walk the opposite direction. He would find these ruins, or give up in a few days.
