Seyka could no longer hear the sound of the waterfall crashing down from Zora's Domain. Did they really travel that far downstream? A pang of guilt pounced upon her chest knowing that this was her fault in the first place. A soft shade of pink dusted her cheeks as her sporadic thoughts came over that Aether was quite strong. Not only carrying the girl out of the Domain, but walking the distance to get her to the nearest doctor. Seyka was well aware that the nearest physician was at the capital of Hyrule, Castle Town, and that in itself was a trip from Zora's Domain. Was Aether really going to go through all that trouble just for Sey Sey? Sey Sey would feel bad!
Did the Hylian just tell a fib? Yes, he did! An eyebrow quirked up suspiciously of his reaction, and her instincts told her to push on to find out what. However she had to fight off that curious nature of hers seeing how much he was tensing up. His heart was still racing, uncomfortable, and nervous as heck... Was she making him uncomfortable? It didn't help ease her troubled feeling. The uncertainty was going to be her biggest downfall, or for the most part, drive her crazy~
With a small sigh escaping her lips, Seyka turned her attention over to the sky. How much time went by today? The sun was getting ready to descend the western skies. What once was a blue tinted sky filled with small white puffy clouds would turn into multiple shades of twilight.
"It'll get dark soon," she spoke worriedly, "You don't intend on continuing the journey through the night now, do you?" It wasn't sarcastic or snark, but rather curious to say the least. Seyka hoped that wasn't the case though, for a lack of a better word, due to the hostile entities that roamed the night. Not just monsters lone groups of monsters, but spirits tended to roam around like lost souls to harass wayward travelers.
Dead things weren't Sey Sey's forte.

Finally, there was something that would at least keep him from feeling awkward, and brought up a legitimate concern now that Seyka mentioned it. Namely, was Aether going to actually travel through the night? Now that he thought about it, he would rather not have to go through the night, due to all the dangers that existed during the nocturnal hours. But Seyka was sick, if it looked like she wouldn't make it through the night, then he had to make sure that he got there, even if it meant putting himself in danger. He looked up at the sky. He noticed that twilight was starting to overtake the land. They didn't have much time before nightfall. Looking down at the sick kitty cat, he decided that he would leave the decision to her. She probably knew her condition better than he did, after all. "Well, do you think you can make it through the night? If you're not sure, I don't have a problem just continuing on. Otherwise I would like to wait until tomorrow to continue..." He sheepishly admitted. He really hoped that he wasn't doing something stupid by offering to rest for the night. Nevertheless, he really didn't mind any choice she made. After all, she needed to take care of herself and keep herself healthy. Aether didn't mind assisting her in this, and he didn't mind taking her to a doctor if she needed it. It was the very least he could do for causing her to contract this nasty bug.

A stab of fear raced through her veins. Seyka was by far not afraid of the dark by any means, but rather... she was terrified of what laid hidden within the dark. Roaming around Hyrule Fields at night wasn't exactly the smartest thing for any traveler to do. Seyka knew by experience that monsters, and... spirits, the dead, or anything related to the otherworldly realm tended to come out, and play at night. They loved picking or overall scaring the living daylights out of poor little things like the kitty. A soft tremble exerted from her frame not at all liking the thought of having to travel the fields at night.
"I'm with you on that," she said quite eagerly. Her magenta eyes peering up at him as if she was nearly on the brink of tears. You know, the ridiculously adorable stare kittens do when they look up at you when they're in your arms? Yeah~ Seyka pulled that one off. The cat girl didn't care if they had to postpone their trip if it meant avoiding the possibility of getting attacked on the road while getting to that said destination. "I'd... prefer not to travel by night," she admitted.
The poor girl didn't notice Aether's self-concious behavior... it kind of helps when the other party is having the same issues as well. Such is the fate of a girl with a short attention span~

Well, she was sure that she could make it. So the decision was final. They would stop somewhere in Hyrule field, have a nice fire, and then continue on with the next day. As worried as Aether was, if she was sure that she could make it through the night, then he definitely wouldn't push just stopping and waiting for morning. He just only hoped that she was certain that she really could make it without getting any worse than before, and not that she was just afraid of all the beasties that roamed the field. Though, he couldn't really blame her if that was the case. There were some really nasty things outside. And then he saw her face. "Eh?!" Aether was caught off guard. There wasn't any blushing, or heart rush, he just kinda got that look on his face that spoke "wat". That wasn't fair, that wasn't fair at all. The kitty was using what could have been her most powerful weapon against him. It was just too cute, how could anyone ever say no to her when she was making that face at them? He started to wonder if anyone even could... or how often she used it. Did she use it to cheat and get what she wanted?! Aether really wasn't sure what to say at this point. He just kind of stayed silent with that surprised, yet goofy expression on his face.

It was always a bonus to being cute. The opposite sex tended to be suckers to charming little things~ A dark thought crossed over into the little kitty's mind scoring a victory over Aether in the final decision. However upon the surface, she flashed a bubbly smile that could light up the night, more than delighted to hear that they wouldn't have to travel by night. "It's decided, we'll stop for the night," she mewed hastily before Aether could change in his mind.
Her head felt heavy for a moment feeling a dizzy spell hit her. Even if they took out the fear factor that Seyka had with her about traveling by night, it wasn't a good idea to be moving an ill person unless they wanted to worsen her condition, right? The cat girl was going to go with that logic~ Closing her eyes softly, she nestled her head against his chest comfortably, relief washing over her petite frame. Was it really just her fever burning her up? Aether was just as warm, but it made her feel all fuzzy inside~
She couldn't help but wonder what the night would bring for the two of them. She's never really shared the night before with another, let alone one of the opposite gender. It just never crossed her mind up until now. For now, she was quite content being carried off away, anywhere the silver haired Hylian whisks her away to~

She moved fast. For a sick girl, she definitely chimed in rather quickly the moment that he made his mind on whether to keep going or not. She must not have liked the night. In a way, that kind of made him sad. While yes, there were plenty of nasty beasts that came out during the night, the night also allowed one to see the stars and the moon. Having lived by the sea for pretty much all his life, he had grown accustomed to watching the sky, and even learning about the stars and their constellations. He figured that the rest of the night would be relaxing, and peaceful so long as he had the sky to stare at. And then Seyka pressed her face into his chest again. The process repeated itself once again, causing Aether to mentally sigh. Why was she able to do this so easily, and why in the world did he keep doing it? He was starting to wonder if this kitty really was as innocent as she made herself out to be, and if she knew about her making him so damn flustered, but still just doing it to get some entertainment. And just when he thought he could at least have some rest from getting all worked up too... He still had a job to do though. Onward he continued with the kitty in his arms, hoping to travel as far as he could towards the castle town by nightfall. Once the sun disappeared from view, he would set up a campfire, and at least get some rest.
