Piper’s responsibilities were limited between the two of them. What she felt mostly responsible for was to associate happiness between them both and assure them everything was going to be alright. This time was no time to speak. They returned to their things where Kane swore he left them only to find that everything was gone. Piper would’ve been devastated but everything near and dear to her never left her body. She looked over at Kane who said nothing for a while. Today was not his day! She followed along, avoiding the lash of his tail and trying not to look so happy.
She checked her pockets as he commanded while crossing the bridge. Piper had quite a bit of her money left. Like it was said, she never leaves her things behind, especially her money. After all, she is a fox and they are reputable for being greedy. He eventually sat himself down near a fountain that Piper wished to play in. No, it was no time for nonsense. Kane was upset and she wouldn’t have it. She held Noah’s hand and spun herself a small circle to look all around for the shops. “I have money! Let me go buy some things for us!”
Piper released Noah’s hand and scurried off to the nearest shop. She entered it alone, figuring they would soon follow. The first to spot in her eyes was a flask filled with rum. Now, a good Piper would ignore this and go with something nice like milk, but Piper didn’t want milk. She was curious for rum. Aside from that, Kane did say he wanted something to drink. Noah could handle his liquor well, she imagined. So, it would only be fair. Men did like to drink when they camped. Piper bought one flask for each of them, along with an entire bottle of whiskey. She wouldn’t tell them she bought it until they made camp for she was positive a surprise would do them well. To cover up the evidence, Piper also bought milk, onions and three fish.
She returned to the boys with a wry grin on her face, trying hard to hide her mischievous ventures. Holding up the fish for all to see, she announced, “We’ll have seafood for dinner! And milk. And onions.” What a delicious combination. Piper actually thought it was delicious and that was the frightening part. Once they organized themselves properly and bought enough to set up camp again, they were out before sundown. They walked on for five miles before Piper picked a good place for them to rest. A hole in the grass off the trail was meant for the traveling vagrants.
They started a quaint fire. Piper gave Noah the fish, as well as a big-eyed stare. “Will you cook it, Noah? You’re so good at cooking!” Before his response, Piper realized she still had three flasks and a bottle strapped to her legs. She thought of handing them over, but it was best to wait until after dinner. Actually, a little sip couldn’t hurt… She got up quickly. “Nature’s calling. I’ll be back in two shakes,” she said to both of them. Piper took off into the grass.
Once she was far enough, she pulled a flask from under her skirt and chugged as much as she could handle without puking. Piper took her time waiting until it kicked in. Suddenly, heat drew over her cheeks. She had this unimaginable urge to cuddle with Kane… Piper emerged from the grass, trying not to stumble before she sat down. “Hey fellas!” she announced. “H-how about them Hylians, eh?” She turned to Kane and smiled. “Will… uh… Will you come with me into the grass for a minute, Kaney-Doodle? Just for a second.”
Piper took his wrist and dragged him into the grass until she was certain Noah could no longer hear them. She pushed him down harshly to the floor. “Lay down!” she lately commanded. A few moments went by before she rested by his side, her cheek on his heart. Smiling, she drew swirls on his belly. “So uh, Kane,” she began slyly. She reached to the bottom of his shirt and tugged on it gently. “I was thinking, since you’re pretty handsome and I’m pretty handsome, uh,” she paused, whispered in his ear, “Take my innocence. Quick, before Noah finds us.”

He sat with Noah, rubbing his temples, glancing up when Piper darted away once again into a nearby shop, "…Are you sure we should let her out of our sight in this town?" But before either of them brought their spirits back up enough to stand and go get her, she was back, looking unsettlingly happy about something. He guessed it was the hell of a meal she had thought of. The day blurred on and finally they were back outside the castle, not having enough money between the three of them for a place to stay in the town. Piper's fish must've been one hell of a paycheck's worth. He hoped they tasted great. He took no notice in her going to take care of her woman business, but actually did pay attention to her when she came swaying back, his monster nostrils picking up the scent of liquor. Oh, god… Unwillingly, he was dragged into the woods. Her request took him a minute to process, but when it did… His eyes almost bugged out of his head. His arms shot up into the air at his sides, "Wha-" He pushed her off, sitting up, "Whoa, WHOA! WHOA!" He found himself pushing himself backwards in the grass, his face was burning, did she just ask him what he thinks she did!? "I-I-I… We, uh…" Yep. She's drunk. He could smell it on his shirt still where she was lying. Taking a deep breath he faced her woozy face, "W-We hardly know each other, don't you think this should wait…?" Wait for what exactly!? His head swirled, they weren't even together in any way! There was nothing to wait for!

Those two are taking an awful long time… His nerves bit at him until he finally found an excuse to go interrupt whatever Piper had dragged the poor boy into the woods for. Raising the fish above the fire, as to keep them from cooking but still warm and safe from wolves, he trotted over to the woods. He hoped Piper wasn't trying to comfort him, he had already had one hell of a day and obviously didn't want anyone talking directly to him. Piper wouldn't notice that, though. Thankfully, Noah's bag was up with his own things, the only items he left behind at the camp that Kane brought with him was his sleeping materials, which was one of the few things that wasn't stolen. "Hey, you two! The fish is rea-" He moved the plants aside to find the two in the grass, both blushing heavily and the smell of liquor in the air. Kane looked quite uncomfortable, while Piper was, much to Noah's surprise, leaning over the boy like… like they definitely weren't just talking. "…What." Pushing his massive self between them, he pushed Piper back. More like threw Kane. This definitely didn't help his image of the kid. He faced Piper, ignoring Kane's swears from behind. He was just about to interrogate her when he noticed her glazed eyes, even larger than usual. Which was frightening. To put even more evidence into the situation, the smell of liquor was much stronger around Piper. His thoughts connected and he raised a pale eyebrow, holding out his huge hand, "Give it."

Piper’s request was sadly but honestly, turned down. She pouted strongly, giving him the “eyes” as she always would and scooted closer to him. “Pish posh!” she argued, swatting her hand as to wave it off. She smiled from under her lashes. “You think I’m pretty, don’t you?” She puckered her lips and scooted closer, until she was leaning on him. “Kiss me, Kane! Kiss me!” Just as her face drew too close to his, a sudden interruption came into play.
A tall, looming Noah stared down at them. He slid her away and chucked Kane somewhere. Piper looked up at him, trying not to seem so drunk. She wasn’t doing a very good job because, while trying to look upset, she ended up wearing this lazy smile with a whole lot of blush. Piper reached under her skirt and produced the bottle and three flasks. “I-I was gonna surprise Kaney-Doodles and you,” she slurred. “Hey, you’re pretty tall. You could be a tree.”
Turning to Kane, who was mumbling curses to himself, she waved. “Don’t be mad at me. He told me I was pretty!” she pointed at Kane. “I felt pretty, Noah! Pretty!” She sniffled, slowly readying herself for a tear or two. Suddenly, she felt ill in her stomach. Someone had to figure that Piper was a lightweight, especially with the strength of the whiskey she had downed. She looked at Noah, her face a little green, and suddenly…
He was wearing her lunch. She heaved a few times before she felt the time to rest. Piper ambled her way to Kane and lied down next to him. She sort of… koala-hugged his arm and leg, nuzzling her face as close as it could get. She smiled. “Wh-when we get married, I want eight boys and two girls and they’ll all be named Piper. Tell me I’m pretty, again.”

"Alright!" Prying the tiny girl off of Kane (mostly for Kane's own sake, the poor kid was unnaturally red) He hoisted Piper over his shoulder, where she hung like a rag, even her tail, which usually had a life of its own, hung limp while she pawed at his back like a cat settling down for bed. He picked up the rest of the bottles with his free hand, tossing one to Kane and breaking the rest against a tree, as to keep anyone else from getting too drunk, "I hope you're not a lightweight!" He called over his shoulder at Kane. He was sure that it was the alcohol coming out of Piper's mouth, but he couldn't help but notice that the two had a strange relationship. They were friends, definitely, no matter how one-sided. But he knew that when as woozy as she was, the truth comes out. He would never point this out directly, of course. Tucking in Piper a good distance from the fire (careful that she wouldn't roll in) He changed out of his soiled poncho, sighing that there wasn't a river close by to wash it off in. The faithful clothing item would have to wait until morning. He sat across the fire from Kane while they ate their meal, saving some for the unconscious girl beside him. She mumbled in her sleep and it was quite amusing. Noah smirked, glancing up then stopped laughing when he noticed Kane smiling at her as well, "…She really does like you, can't you tell?" He wasn't pointing out the newest event, not directly, at least. He needed to know that this boy would never hurt her.

He had never in his life been so embarrassed. Never. What was Piper even doing!? Much to his horror, Noah himself suddenly appeared between them, and he was thrown back, completing a full roll before stopping a good distance away. He saw Piper give up her hidden source to her behavior, and he blushed even harder. He jumped when she vomited all over the giant, pushing his way back a little when she stumbled back towards him. Before he could hold her back she had him in a tight cling, his arms strapped to his sides by her own twigs she had as arms. "Wh-When we get married, I want eight boys and two girls and they'll all be named Piper. Tell me I'm pretty again." "Wh- Huh!? N-No! We can't…!" The only way to get her off was to have Noah peel her away himself, which added to his embarrassment. He watched as Noah carried her away, wishing he could just melt into the ground he sat on and have them both forget he ever existed. God, he would never live this down. He barely caught the bottle of Piper's liquor that Noah tossed, wincing from the shattering sound of the other two bottles breaking against a tree. How did she even hide all that!? He hesitated, then tossed the bottle away before following Noah. He felt guilty, Piper had bought it for him after all, but he wouldn't be able to drink it without tonight crossing his mind. Back at camp, they ate in silence, all that could be heard was Piper's mumbling. He smiled at her, she was so pathetic it was adorable. No, not adorable, just embarrassing. Noah's comment didn't help settle his feelings at all. He chewed slowly while he thought of a way to respond, but he couldn't say anything else but, "…Yeah. I know… She wasn't talking complete nonsense, I could tell…" He shot a look at Noah, "B-But don't think that I would've done it! We're only friends!" Noah's smirk made him rage. His head was starting to hurt from all the blood rushing to his face that night. He huffed and lay down, rolling over to face his back to Noah, "Make sure she doesn't sleepwalk anywhere! Good night!"
