A vast, swelteringly hot desert that is completely deserted save for the Gerudo tribes. Monsters roam the wastes, prowling for those rare wanderers who would pass through....
Not many Gerudo are seen in the desert: probably because they have their Fortress to retreat to. Far to the West of the wastes, a huge city is sheltered within the cliff walls along the edge of the desert. The entire city is made of stone, superheated by the sun's rays in the day, and cooled in the nighttime. There are many homes, makeshift shops, and particularly training grounds, for the fierce Gerudo to hone their fighting strengths.
Technically called the Gerudo Mesa, its nickname as the Cave of Ordeals has actually overtaken people's mind. Gaining its nickname thanks to the immense amount of monsters that inhabit it, only the foolish or the brave enter it and the dangers that lurk within.
An ancient prison tower, built to house Hyrule's most dangerous criminals whilst they awaited trial, execution, or deportation to the Twilight Realm. Long since deserted, the Arbiter's Grounds are inaccessible by normal means.
The Coliseum, a giant circular stone structure in the desert. Built by the Gerudo many years ago, warriors still battle here to test their mettle against others, pushing themselves to become the best of the best. Sometimes tournaments are held here, with prizes given out by the Gerudo King to those who prove themselves skilled fighters.
